While i was away...

while i was away...

*I have been attempting to study. Yes i really did...

*Nursing a swollen eye, coz i had an eye stye.
-it just appeared one day, after i got home from school.
The eye stye gave me really bad eye discomfort, and i'm stuck wearing glasses for the next few days..i'm blaming it on the HAZE!

I know i'm not supposed to prod my eye infection, but the discomfort was reallly bad that i decided to "milk" my swollen eye off its excess liquid.. by bursting the infected tear gland.
My eye felt better almost instantly, and it was visibly less swollen..
Waking up with crusty eye definitely wasn't my ideal way of starting any day, alright!

*Attended a friend's wedding dinner.
-with the swollen eye, nevertheless, it was an enjoyable night. It gave me a chance to dress up and socialise, definitely something to look forward to, other than the mere thought of studying... i'm definitely turning dull.
I had fun mixing weird cocotions of alcohol for the groom during dinner, with the help of elaine and Jenny.
The groom drank it, not one but multiple glasses of alcohol, and it definitely was gross thinking back.

*Hung out at Macs til the wee hours of the morning for many days with Zoe.
where we munched on Mac Meals til we never wanna stuff another Mac in our face again.
-studying kinda brought out the eccentricities of my studying habits - i insist on laying out all my 13 colored pens arranging them in it's various intensity of shades.
We talked and came up with really stupid stuff, that left us laughing til our bellies hurt, and our teary eyes. (It wont be funny, if i were to relate it in here.)
Boo, Roy and Winston dropped by to visit me while i was studying yesterday night. =))

*Boo finally utilised the Birthday Raoul voucher that i've gotten for him. 6 Whole months later! *sulks*. Oh well at least the belt looks decent.

* I met Viv, a colleague of Boo, and he claims that viv reminds him of mommy. So he kept calling Viv, Auntie Florence. But i didnt quite agree with him, so i asked Winston, Roy and Zoe if Viv resembled mommy... and Zoe nearly spitted her drink when she took a good hard look at viv. All 3 of them agreed seperately that Viv resembles my mommy. Arhhh!

Later when all left, Zoe and i ordered breakfast, and the girl who served us our breakfast resembled Viv! OMG! It's all getting alittle scary, and i think all that studying is beginning to cause my eyes to play tricks on me!!

Tagboard!

the new Tagboard is up. It's not as funky as the old one...
they seemed to be having some weird problem...as it doesnt seem to reflect the colors that i've chosen.... oh well =( Let it be i'd guess.
bah!

Girl Power!

Pictures from the Korean flick, My wife is a gangster 2.
For 2 fridays in a row, i refused to stay out late, all for the show, my wife is a gangster, and the sequel to it, my wife is a gangster 2, the legend returns. I absolutely love the show!
Why so?

Because it portrays girl power! The coolness factor of the female lead is undeniable!
I can't help but gush whenever she does those kungfu moves of hers...
The female gangster a.k.a the female lead, bears a resemblance to Danny's Girlfriend Hui Xian. Even boo agreed with me on that!

And it was because of this cool chick gangster show, that sort of inspired me into getting my first pair of converse shoes, after watching the show, sometime last year.

But i hardly ever remember to dig out my grey and pink/coral converse boots out for a walk... oops.

There's also this cute fish radio that the shop in the show has, where the fish would tap it's tail and maneuver the microphone stand with its fins while singing to the song i will survive. . I wanna lay my hands on that cute singing fish... *sulks*
Enough of my gushing and swooning of my female gangster idol..
Click here for the movie review of the sequel.

There's apparently a part 3, and i can't wait for it to be out!!

Ahhhh girl power rocks! hoo!

Cuppies!

Looking pretty gleeful about the turnout of our cuppies!

Here we go! a better picture of me posing with the cupcakes!

It all started with my sudden cupcake craze, and me telling boo about baking cupcakes.
So we stopped by Jelita Cold Storage on the way home, and got the ingredients needed.

"I made up some instructions " (that's what boo said, when i decided to invent the quantity of the ingredients, as forgot to bring my cupcake recipes along...) and boo did the cake mixing, and adding of ingredients into the mixing bowl etc, and after 15 mins of baking, *ta da!* cupcakes we get!!

Though they haven't been prettily decorated yet, but they tasted rather decent. *big smilies*
We'll be baking another batch tomorrow, and we'll be fiddling with icing and all, to prettify the cuppies! Oooh!! watch out for them... might give them out to a few friends, if there's any to spare =)

Looking forward to creating simple decorations like this! (courtesy of Bernard's Cupcake book)

Dinner at Brazil Churrascaria

Selene and i met up for a shopping session on saturday! We scoured the entire Bugis Village for "the capri", and we succeeded! We left for our dinner dates ( she meeting her mom, and me meeting mine). Her mom gave me a ride home, and on the journey, i was reminded of our secondary school days, which usually ended with Selene's mom giving me a lift home, after we are done with the day's escapade.
Ah, reminising the young and carefree days always seem so sweet.

It's been quite some years since i last played the game of Pool.

Boo and i randomly met up with Danny and HuiXian for an imprompt dinner, and a session of Pool sprang into the conversation. We headed over to a pool palour at the Meridien Hotel, and spent the rest of the night there.

As it was HX's first time with the game, Danny coached her through the process and rules, while Boo and i played over at the other table. I've never been any good at the game, or had much patience in honing my skills, but i'd still say that the game of pool is rather enjoyable, coz as bimbotic as it sounds, i love the way the colorful balls scatter across the table. So pretty!

After Hx caught the gist of the game, we girls (meaning HX and myself) were left to polish up our mediocre skills at one table, while the masters of the game (the boys) did some catching up with their talks on life, during the game over at the other table.

We would have stayed on longer, if it wasn't for the fact that both Danny and HX had to work the next morning.

Boo and i had dinner at Brazil Churrascaria on monday. It was a secret meet up dinner, and we were told by the organiser that it was strictly by invitation only (therefore the lack of names).

The ambience and food is superb, and i'd have to say that it's one of the heartiest meal i've had ever! The amount of meat that i've consumed, is definitely stomach boggling! If you're a meat lover, you'll absolutely love it!However, my favourite dishes for the night would be the smoked ham, the caramelised pineapples, and the banana fritter!

I couldn't quite tell the difference from all the meat that i ate..there was a whole pile of them that i've sampled. Recalling the more memorable ones, from garlic beef, to beef rump, to chicken with bacon, smoked ham, baked fish, beef topside, some animal rib that i've decided to forgo and not forgetting the chicken heart!

The chicken heart is quite a laugh! Many were rather appalled at the thought of eating the heart of the chicken. A few chickened out when the chicken heart was served.
My boo gave the heart a try, and i'm so proud of him! I ate 2 hearts myself, afterall, it's not my first time eating the chicken heart.

But eating too much of the heart is another matter... so we donated our remaining hearts over to this guy who went out for a smoke! There was like more than 7 chicken hearts splotted on his plate, and he paled looking at it when he came back! He later donate most of it over to the chicken heart connoiseur next to him!

I washed my dinner down with this special brazillian mocktail. Couldn't recall the name of the pretty drink, but it was served with the mango juice suspended above the sparkling limeade even though both liquids were in the same glass. The color seperation topped with a cherry and pineapple decoration made a pretty sight!
I guess the density of the liquids kept them seperated... until the stirring mixed them together.
I love it! Yum!

For more pictures of the succulent meat and details about the Brazil churrascaria restaurant, click here for a written review. I would agreed on the part about going easy on the meat servings, to enjoy your eating experience there. Cheers!

days of my life.

Hey, i'm back! Was finally done with studying for Prices and Market test!
I do hope i'll pass. I spent my past few days chasing after Desperate Housewives Season 2 with the Boo! We sacrificed sleep just to satisfy our thirst to complete the entire season 2!
We're looking like 2 pandas now...

I spent my Friday night with Zoe at Bakerzin for dinner, we had pasta for main course, but seriously, i think the desserts was the main course! Just look at the desserts that we've ordered, It's seriously some sugar high that we had!

7 tapas/sorbet/icecream for $20 plus? So we ordered 2 Strawberry cheese coupe, 2 Caramel pana cota, 1 raspberry pana cota, 1 Sumatra icecream, 1 matcha icecream. We could have ordered more variety, if it wasn't for the fact that most of the sorbets and ice cream had melted (apparently the freezer was down)

Definitely a good time.
Strolling around town after dinner to kill time, we couldnt decide what to do, or where to go.
While deciding on our next destination, we killed time shopping around Tangs, and decided to dabble with the cosmetics and perfumes on display (Tangs extended their shopping hours to Midnight, and most of the counter ladies were gone.... no eagled eye salesperson to bug us, yay!)

Of all the stupidest stuff that could have happened while testing fragance, Zoe showed me a bleeding finger! I was mortified. not mentioning about my blood phobia..!
Well, apparently the embedded rhinestones on the bottle of Britney Spears fragance wasn't properly embedded, therefore slicing the side of her fingers, causing the pain and the bleeding.

Went to Marriot to wash her bleeding finger, then after loitering and after much contemplation..
we still didnt know what to do..

Time was definitely a disadvantage for us.
*there was our botched attempt in movies - we wanted to watch the korean show about some gigaloes for hire, but it wasn't available anymore
*Our lame attempt in KTV - she wanted to leave at 2am, as she's got school the next day... so we asked Kbox if we could possibly sing for an hour.

We settled for chilling out at the Balcony. It was... *yawn*.
so much for the hype and buzz..

I'm still feeling kinda exhausted from all that late nights, so i guess it's bed time for me.

Night adventure

What have i been doing for the past few days?

Boo says i've been busy being a cocoon!
I've been sleeping, eating, watching korean dramas and cartoons, then back to sleeping
On an average, i've been clocking at least 12 hours of sleep a day..hahaha
Love my lifestyle?
Nope! I'm finally bored of the bummerina life, but it seems like i'm stuck in a sleep curse.

Can't seem to prevent myself from sleeping too much!

*horrors*

I've managed to deliver Zoe's present over supper yesterday.
We met at Tong Shui Cafe at Zion road, since she claimed that it's the most centralised location for the both of us.
True enough, the both of us, arrived nearly the same time, with identical fares ($9.30), and both our cab drivers brought us along a slight detour (those stupid sly cab drivers!).

Oh well, i do hope that she likes the present that i've gotten for her. I chose a white gold pendant in the design of an abstract butterfly that seemed really like 2 hearts linked together, lined with miniscule diamonds that's barely visible. The minute i laid my eyes on the pendant, i just had Zoe in mind. *grins*

Hopefully it's something for her to remember her school friends by, after all, this will be her last birthday, being a student. Her next birthday, she'll either be a bummer, or deeply plunged into her work. Bah! Hate the thought of it!

Ben came to look for us, when we were nearly done with supper. Since he's decided to give Zoe a lift home, I've finally found out where Zoe lives (mind you, it's like reaalllllly reallllly deep inside a corner of St Michaels..it's crazy!), then on the way back, i decided that i needed to pee really badly, so we stopped at the Oriental Hotel opposite the Esplanade. I love the hotel interior! It's just so simplistically pretty.

Ben reckons that the hand soap in the toilet smelt like the perfume Ck one, so i ran back in there, and washed my hands with the hand soap again. (yeah sounds ridiculous, but i was that bored, ha ha).

We ended the night with an ice cream cone chat at Ridout Tea garden.
I seem to be into Mac Donald's $0.50 ice cream cone recently.

That's all for night adventures. =)

blissful post supper and zouk. not forgetting cuffs.

I kinda like this picture alot.
For one, he doesn't make silly faces (you'll never know how difficult it is to get him to keep a pretty straight face when we're snapping pictures)
Secondly, boo made me pose like this, so that i could show off my new white cuffs! Yes it's my new toy, and i added a slight touch of my own to it! Haha!
This picture was taken post supper, and zouk. *smiles*

You'll never know how much dilema i was in, when i was deciding on the design of the wrap!

There was the horror stories that Zoe fed me with, the never ending ugly pile of designs to shortlist, then the final design to decide on, followed by whether to give the phone a glitter base or normal base etc...

Just deciding on glitter base or non glitter base alone, was enough to give anyone a headache. Anyone watching me.. (probably Zoe), might think that it a life threatening decision i was making. Boo would probably have blew his top and started grunting at me. Yes, that's how long i took, to decide and envision just how my phone would look like.

Then there was the actual waiting time, being a very labour intensive business. I waited for more than 2 hours just to be in queue, and another hour and a half to get it wrapped.

All that waiting was not in vain, when i laid my eyes on the phone. It's beautiful!
Haha! I've got a pretty phone now! Yay!

Botanic Gardens

It's Boo's second off day, so we spent our evening over at the Botanical Garden, and from the way things are looking, it is apparent that the National Parks people spared no cost in the process of revamping the Botanic Garden.

What's new? - new carparks, newly added FoodCourt, rest areas.

Pavement - the path that leads us around is like a work of handicraft. "fossilized" effect was created, by imprinting different kind of leaves on the concrete all over the garden. It's beautiful.

Swan Lake - Newly done up, with only 2 swans and a duck floating around the lake, a huge statue featuring a flock of swans placed strategically in the lake.
Little duck statues placed at the side of the lake, looking like they are about to waddle into the lake to make up for the lack of ducks and swans (bird flu probably?)

Stream decorations - intricate wall carvings added to the little streams along the paths, Pretty!

The visit was definitely pictureque - That's what you get, when u splurge! Haha
I've loaded up a few pictures of Boo and i. The multishot one was done using the Olympus while we were resting at the Rest area. The remaining 2 pictures, were taken using the N70. Though alittle blurry (my hands were shaking from hunger), i think they aren't too bad, even though the boo would tsk and say.. "no auto focus".

Oh well, im contented with the phone, despite the lagginess and the 2 apparent white screen whenever i'm playing with the game "Camster". I guess i'll have to bring it into the Nokia care place to upgrade software and see what the people there can do for me, before i yakker on about the phone.

N70 and happy birthday mommy!

I've finally gotten down to phone shopping. Went down to Star Hub at Plaza Singapura to get my N70.
I was disappointed that N70 I-mode only comes in 1 color. Which is the Silver/Black combination. The entire phone was filled with I-mode logo and starhub logo..definitely scary.
Who in the right mind would use the I-mode logo as background? The lamest would be the fact that the I-Mode logo comes in various color background. There's pink, baby blue, green, yellow, white! What's more Ridiculous, the default ringing tone is the Starhub I-mode song! the one that goes i like i-mode, Arghhh! all these I-mode thingie is driving me mad!!

I totally intend to wrap the phone in the G-mask thingie, coz i absolutely detest black phones.
Yeah. As for the functions, it does not vary too much from the 7610, probably alittle more added programs and softwares?

It's my mommy's birthday today, and she's... hahah nearly 50 years old.
Happy birthday mommy! Age is only a number, you're still pretty and young no matter what!

Da and i pooled in our allowances and bought mommy a miniscule heartshaped pendant. My poor tired boo bought her a Secret Recipe Mango cake!
Haha... 4 mouths consumed nearly half the cake. Too bad the tired and sick one had to go home....and missed the cake cutting! =(

Ah well, that's about all the excitement i had for today. Shall update later, maybe?

fuck it! i'm sick of u people!

Aha! I did the unbelievable! I slept for 17 hours straight! waking up only to visit the loo once and to reply SMSes that came through..
I was that tired. Unbelievable, but it is true.

I woke up at 8pm, to eat my first meal of the day, swam a few laps, then did my nails.

This is what life originally was, and it's good to feel it coming back. I definitely deserve a break.

I'm sick of 1) responsibilities, 2)people who think that they're great, when in actual fact, they're nothing but a shitty whim, who's totally not in check with reality. a barking dog indeed.
3) people who're so afraid to voice out their thoughts and opinion. I have a whole lot of them in my council. Useless bunch.
4) empty vessels who're alittle like parrots. Whom can't quite sort out the differences between lettuce and cabbage. (never heard of the moronic story of veges yet? ask me, i'll relate that sad story to you one day...the one about the moronic girl who's too dumb to think before she speaks.
5)a pile of non artistic people whom i cannot relate my thoughts to.

I've slogged my extra time away for a bunch of good for nothings. At the end of the day, these thankless fools just make me soooooo mad.

Now that i've gotten in touch with myself, it's time i get in touch with the right people.
The ones who made my life interesting, the ones who are in check with reality, and the ones who knows how to voice out their thoughts and opinions without even blinking.

*this entry is definitely made for people whom i'm very disappointed with.
I've got about just enough of all the nonsense that council can come up with.

It's nearly time for me to watch how the next bunch of EXCOs deal with the monkeys! Cheers to retirement!

It's time to fiddle with the Xbox. It's been neglected.

things you probably never knew..

Things you never probably never knew...

*
Day dreaming is my favourite past time.. it's convenient, and never bores me, and best of all, it doesn't cost a single cent! I love dreaming up about the different outfits i can invent or stitch up with...but i'll forget them once i get home. Ha!

*
I love playing with paper. Used to spend hours everday creating stuff from paper. Sadly, i hardly have the time to sleep anymore, even lesser time to sit and explore with papers. i'd say that i'm rather good with them, from paper mosiac, paper quilling, origami, paper sculpture, anything but paper mache-they're too messy for my liking.
*
Hair is the absolute most important part of me. I'm willing to experience with cuts and colors, as long as it doesn't damage them permanently.
*
I do not have any favourite colors, but i do have a fetish for hindie purple (ribena tones), and turquoise or mint. I change color favourtism as and when i fancy.
I usually stock up on a particular hue that i'm crazy about when shopping. So you'll see them in bags, shoes various tops and bottoms until i get sick of it.
*
White is the one absolute color that i'll never get tired of, and i look dreadful in black.
*
I love cats, and i detest dog's saliva, but i'll live with it, if it doesnt get on my face.
*
I'm not brand conscious. I've got a good eye to spot interesting stuff.
If a rag makes me look good. I'll wear the rag.
People who swears by brands are the totally insecure..relying on brands to make them cool is so uncool.
*
I'm moody and anti social by nature, - there are just days when i just want to be left alone to sulk, so dont take it too personal if i didnt say hello.
*
I've dreamt of becoming a swimmer when i was young, until my mama told me about the broad ugly shoulders i'll get from it.
*
When i was little, i was a boy hater. I'll "fight" with my male cousins and school mates, because i hated the idea of boys thinking that they are better than girls. Yes i'm a feminist.
So i hate to see whinny girls who plays up the "oh i'm just a weak girl... " just to get the attention and help from guys. It disgust me.
*
I have a feisty temper. Might wanna stay away when i flare up.
*
I underwent a major spine operation when i was 15. To date, i'm left with a 24 cm scar, and a missing rib from the ordeal. (i suffer from Scoliosis, an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine)
*
It annoys me when people try to run my life, or tell me what to do about them.
To date, only few gets away with it. Like mommy, Boo and a few little friends. No one tells me what to do with my life. Period.

yakkers yakkerings

Chanced upon this website that handcrafts these beautiful pieces...
Pretty and intricate accessories.. but it'll be too troublesome to ship them in, so it's totally just for viewing pleasure!
*
I finally found the time to finish reading up the novel "The devil wears Prada", and managed to catch the movie with boo yesterday.

The story line in the novel is slightly different from the movie. Yes they'd managed to portray Miranda Priestly as a meanie, but after awhile, you'll realise that she isn't as mean as it was writted in the novel...and so much more was not accurately portrayed in the movie!

Nigel's gayness wasn't very much portrayed, Emily wasn't that mean in the novel, and she definitely did not break a leg, instead, she was down with monoculosis..or something like that... Andy's Boyfriend is a school teacher, not a chef, and Lily (andy's bestfriend) is definitely not an artist, but a PHD student with an alcoholic problem, Miranda Priestly did not get a divorce, so on... (ya u probably get the idea)
*
The fashion portrayed was like *yawn*, nothing ground breaking here, though i do love the boot with jeans look, coz it's something that you definitely wont be able to pull off in humid places like Singapore.
I'm dying for a chance to fly away to some cold country, where i'll be able to yank on all the boots that i want to!!!
*
I need a hair cut, and hair color... it's been 2 months since i last cut my hair, and it's gone all limp and flat, instead of the volumous "bulbasarus" look that i'd usually prefer... but i'm actually considering growing the hair long..... (i'd have to think about it alittle more...)

Would probably try and bear with the color (what color?!) of my hair, til i am done with exams, in order to save money... after all, i'll be stuck at home or in school studying anyway, since exams is approaching.
*
Tonight would be a good night to catch up on the sleep, since i haven't been getting enough sleep for the past few days.... Kinda looking like a panda, that even concealer isn't making any wonders...

voucher hoarding

Shopping vouchers = shopping glee!
I've hoarded up $65 worth of Tangs vouchers, compliments from Quacks!! =))))

I'm having a hard time deciding on what free/heavily discounted item to get!

Skin care?
Clothes?
Accessories?
Shoes?

Arhhh! The thought of shopping is pleasing to the mind!
You'll never know how hectic your week can be, until you've gone through one!

For the whole of today, everytime i lay sprawled on my comfy little bed, trying to catch up with sleep, or deceiving myself into the sleep cheating method of additional snooze...
only to be thwarted by the ringing phone!

It's almost like a curse!
Close my eyes for more than 5 mins... the phone's sure to ring!
Thank god for the free incoming! My mobile phone bills have never been anything near average or normal before, despite taking up a student plan!
The SMSes are the real killer. I've never known what my fingers were capable of, until i saw my monthly bills.
I could easily hit 2000 smses each month!!

Speaking of which, i'm living fine with the L6, but the sms-ing technology is soooo soooo laggy.
I kinda miss Nokia.
Since im at the Mobile phone topic, i've kinda decided to settle for the N70.
After all, the N70,N72,N80,N90 they all look ugly and brick like.
Since they aren't scoring with me on the design factor, i reckon the price would have to be real appealing.

Probably would spend the money that i've saved on purchasing a cheap phone, on "plastic surgery", say the G-wrap thingie for phones?
I'm also thinking of getting a laptop skin for the glitzii. Mom keeps stacking stuff on my laptop. Hate to think about the day it'll receive a major scratch from random objects.

Any idea where i'd be able to locate a laptop skin/wrap?

And i NEED a holiday! a cheap one would be fine too. (yes wishing well?)

Restless + backdating

At Coco Latte

Arghhhh! Once again, it's the restless mood that i always fall into whenever i'm stuck with lots of test and projects.

I'm supposed to be doing the Buyer Behaviour Case study project that's due tomorrow, but i can't seem to settle down to actually be doing them.
The words in the textbook looks crappy to me. Yes i like whinning.

I'm so restless that i even offered to scrub toilet for whoever who's willing to do the BB overview for me! Hahah! but i turned down the many offers, coz boo's helping me churn out the rubbishy parts! Ho ho ho! See Boo's the bestest of the best! Toilet-free for mee! hoo!!

There's like BB due on monday, accounting test on Tue, and Prices and market Test due on Wed. ARhhh!, followed by Student week booth set up, Student week itself, then the Miss SIM pageant. Crazy week!!

Yes once again, Thank God for Kenny, to help me along with council responsibilites! He's managed to persuade the girls to take part in the pageant, when they flatly told me "No" initially. ( No doubt it's a fact that most girls hate me, though i've got no idea why so), and agreeing to help oversee the student week booth stuff. It got me wondering...what charm did he administer, to persuade the girls into agreeing to taking part in the pageant! Hahaha

*
It's Roy's birthday, so Boo and i met up with Roy, Sheila and Gary took the chance to meet up, and we chose to lunch over at the Villa'ge. It's dreadful the place... seemed to have shrunk, the food variety seem lesser, and it's like a ghost town, (they didnt renovate much, still looks like Marche, just lost it's lustre)

As usual, talks of going back to Bali surfaced, and this time, i really do hope that i'll be able to join them in Febuary, (yes boo, i know how much you wanna go back to Bali).

*pray that my time table, next semester would please be Bali friendly*, considering the fact that i'll have quite considerable amount of time in my hand, without council being a major commitment and responsibility!

*

Back tracking to a few days ago, Boo and i ventured into JB together with Garry and his Girlfirend and Eugene. It's quite a fun trip, coz we went exploring alittle, driving all the way to Jusco, despite not knowing it's exact location. We had Ba Kut Teh at this place that Garry recommended, and i'd say that the soup tasted pretty good, and i'll definitely would be back for more of that happening soup!

Shopping was alittle unfruitful for me, having bought most of the VNC shoes that i've fancied for this season... there's like nothing left worth grabbing. Boo got himself a pair of Levis Square cut jeans though. I chose it, and therefore i like it! Hahha! Besides, i think he looks super cute in it! *wink*

We had seafood spread for dinner, and the food is amazing! We ordered cereal crayfish, butter prawns, fried squid (which wasn't too good coz they didn't remove the black ink), sambal kang kong, saucy tofu, 2 plates of chee cheong fun, and blame me for my bad memory, but i can't remember the other dishes that we ordered.

Just when i was done with dinner, i thought i heard someone call my name. But i conveniently dismissed it, after all, what's the odds of you meeting anyone in the streets of JB on a weekday?!
Then i heard my name again. This time i turned and saw Dora. Boy was i surprised and shock!
It'll definitely be fun to go back to JB to explore and indulge ourselves again soon!

*
Back dating to not too many days ago... Wednesday - A bunch of us attended the Sim-Motorola event at Coco Latte. The event went well i'll say, though it was alittle quiet at the start. We each brought home a goody bag that included a magnetic whiteboard, that i stuck onto the fridge and scribbled on it with good fun, a pink mobile phone strap, that i liked so much -i decided to take an extra one home! There's also pretty Motorola emblem notebooks and notepads, pen and paper clips, not forgetting a pink paperbag that would be so useful in embarrassing situations.... i.e, place the pretty paper bag over your head.. Ha!

The entire bunch of us moved on over to Zouk later in the night... i've never reached Zouk at such late hours before. Naturally Jo and Chris thought that i'll not be coming, so they were rather surprised when i arrived, bringing Zoe along! Ho ho ho!

Met many people that night, including Da's friends Serene, Jo , and a few others whom i've never recalled meeting. According to her entry dated 7 sept, mambo jambo, she was vaguely amused at my ability to scream hello, while doing the mambo moves. Haha.

Generally, we had fun that night, and i managed to get into bed at 6am, with a reallly wet head. Was waaay too tired to wait for the hair is dry.
*
That's all folks... i'll add an entry or two whenever i'm able to..

A day of coincidence...

I swear this top generated lots of coincidences for Zoe and i!
Spotted the similarity?

It all started off with one fine shopping day..
Zoe and i spotted a top. It was almost as if i could read her mind, i forced her to give it a try.
She loved the blouse the instant she tried it on. While she was changing out of the blouse,
I asked the salegirl if there was other colors available.

The minute Zoe stepped out of the changing room, i started rattling the other available colors...
and when i was done, she asked "how did you know that i was about to ask about the colors?"

I shrugged, it wasn't surprising to learn about an individual's shopping habits, not forgeting that this was probably the millionth time we shopped together in our near 3 years of friendship.

I tried on the blue top, and it did me no justice, making me look charred. Instead, i tried the white, and it did mircales for me! Yippee!

We both purchased the top, and never said a word about wearing it.
Early this July, which was days after purchasing this top...
we created sensational joke amongst our circle of friends.

Everyone was laughing when we appeared in school wearing the exact same top, despite not communicating our intentions. What's funnier would be how the others were just jokingly speculating to Zoe that they'll go buy lottery, if they catch us wearing the same top on the very day.

Zoe was cursing like mad when I met her at the canteen. It's rather funny. I couldnt stop laughing the minute i saw her. Kangwei and Cae really did get lottery tickets after that, but they won nothing.
Haha, i bet there would be magic, if Zoe and i Purchased the 4D tickets instead. Oh who cares?

Pirates!

Pirate Daphy! If you ask me, i think i look like some sort
of mountain bandit. *sigh*
I didn't choose the costume alright, it was provided!

Pirate Johnson and i!

Daph, Johnson and Zeta!

about life.

I've gone off blogging for a few days. Kinda lost its appeal somehow... Not that my life isn't colorful enough to blog about, but just alittle put off blogging. Not in the mood perhaps.

A recap of the days that's gone by so far...

On the Leadership Camp:
It was definitely a good and enlightening experience. The ordeal wasn't really much of a hardship, in fact, staying over at the YWCA seemed more like a little holiday stay, rather than a pathetic and yucky camping experience. (Thank god for clean toilets, coz most of you would have already heard about my super duper algae/mould phobia)

I made new friends in the camp, toughen up alittle physically, running/strolling round town, but most importantly mentally challenged myself.

The night time activities that we played, were pretty crazy. Michelle and i were like giving out crazy forfeits, even if we did not partake in the games.

Some forfeits went something like : "man .... yank out 5 strands of your leg haaaiiiirr"
we improvised and another went " use ur teeth to yank out 50 strands of leg hair Gupta..."
the meanest that i thought of could not be carried out, coz it involved rubber bands (the market and kitchen kind of rubber band. Not those that girls use for their beautiful long hair).
"to use a rubberband to roll over the hairy male leg, to get as much leg hair out as possible."

Oh wait, it's not all about leg hair, i had to eat curry flavoured twisties off my toes. (that wasn't too bad) Some others went like: "Snort up the MSG".
I'd say that the killer would be to watch Ben give Andy a love bite on the neck!

We definitely were hysterical that night. Lots of complains we received from the YWCA people.

The camp also reminded me of obvious stuff that i've always taken granted for. Just silly stuff that is so obvious, that most would think it's worth dismissing. Depressing.. but being depressed usually make me a humbler and more sensitive person.. haa
*
Mobile Phone:
Sold the Nokia 7610 away more than a week ago.. Still miss my pink phone. Was using Boo's 7250 ( i hope it's the right model that i quoted ya), and forgot to charge battery the night before camp, so i went home in the evening during dinner break, to exchange the Nokia 7250 for Mommy's super slim Motorola L6. Ahhh adapting to the phone became quite an issue for me.
For starters, the spacing for the text messaging made me alittle frustrated. So i replied my messages sans the spacing.

It vaguely went something like this : "imatcampnow, what'sup?" Hahaa
Boo asked if the spacing button of the phone is spoilt or not. Cute eh?

It's been nearly a week since i started using the Motorola L6, and i've adapted to the way the stupid phone functions and all, but that doesn't mean that i'll just settle for the L6 ya?
I'm still eyeing at new phones, but no particular idea on what phone to get.... yes the dilema of making you money's worth.

*
On work:
Went dressing up at a Pirate to create some "rara" in Mobile One asia's main head office to encourage the people in the office to dress up for their Company's D&D. It's always fun to dress up, especially to be paid to dress up. Yay!!
I'll post pictures of my vague attempts of being a pirate later.

Can't quite figure out if i should go for the coming Car exhibibtion's audition for Champion Motors, since taking up the job would mean skipping school for quite a few days, unless someone's willing to share the days with me. After all, it's pretty good pay. =)
Yes, once again, it's loss of income because of school. Arrrhhh..

Boyfriend and i:
He plays his Xbox 360, while i watch the Korean Drama: " my lovely Sam Soon".
The sweetie toook the effort to borrow the box of VCDs for me, coz i'm forever complaining that an hour a night is simply not enough!

Been sick, and he showers me with the sick princess treatment. Yay! Crystal Jade chicken mushroom congee for me!! Slurps

We went out for movie today, it's Lucky Sleven that we caught, and i think it's quite a good movie. Josh Harnett is soooooo cute! Hee hee hee.
Dinner before movie wasn't too good though.
We went to Chicago Steakhouse that is located right next to Subway at Cineleisure for dinner.
For a place that claims to be a steakhouse, they sure have lousy food Standards.

We ordered Onion soup, Wild mushroom soup and Garlic Baked Scallops for starters, a platter of fish and chips for him and a Fireball beef steak for me.

Know what happened? (oh yes, i have so much to complain about them)
The soups arrived. It tasted very poorly made. Onion soup tasted rather bland and generic. I couldnt taste any onions, though there was some floating around the soup.

My Wild Mushroom soup was alright. But the mushrooms were blended sooooo finely, that i didnt even need chewing, neither would i be able to find out which 4 types of wild mushroom exactly, did they dump into my soup.

Main course was served, so Boo asked the waiter, shouldn't the starter be served before the maincourse?
The server/waiter replied: " sir, we're a semi fine dining place". OMG, in that case, they'd might as well serve the soup last? we very much wanted to retort.

The "fireball" lasted for like 3 seconds. I felt cheated. What's worst, i can taste the cow in my beef la! Never had i tasted a "beefier" steak in my life. You know, to taste the "animal" in your food, it must be bad.

The fish batter he had was thin like sashimi sliced fish fillet coated with breadcrumbs. We could barely taste the fish!

The Baked Garlic Scallops that we ordered for starters, *sigh* you must be wondering, how wrong can scallops go?
Yeah, very wrong. It was just pure horrible. If it's my first time eating scallops, i swear i'd never touch them ever again. Eeuch!

Social life:
Spent quite a few days studying in school with the Boys, to prepare for our coming Prices and Market test, as well as Management accounting test. Though it was alot more talk than study, not forgetting our "mix into the crowd of graduants and their relatives and friends to eat the buffet of food that was displayed appealingly right smack at the Atrium in school."

What the boys like to say: " free food always tastes good". Haha.

Went KTV to choose songs for the competition that TinTin and i wanted to participate in. We ended up screeching alot when singing, and the dumb competition would never happen.
Why? Coz they closed the application already. Caroline told me that Friday was the closing date. Now i feel so cheated.

We went over to pay our respects to Lailin's granny at the wake. Hope Lailin is holding on fine.

Zoe is busy working at the Comex fair, so i haven't seen her for quite awhile....

Have been corresponding with Lydia via Friendster recently, and i'm happy to know that she's back in my life, even though she's far away in London. Sigh..

Yes, that's about all the random thoughts i can recall about...

shopping session and my lovely sam soon

I went shopping today! Bought jeans, undies, bags etc. I'm so going to be broke again!
I saw a dress that i fancied. But the lady at Bugis refused to give me a $5 discount, so i stepped out of the store. Yeah, i'm unreasonable, But it's my right isn't it?

Hmpf!

Met up with Ben for lunch and gossip session today, then went over to Coach to get my leather bag reconditioned.
Unfortunately, Coach doesn't do after sales servicing, Oh Joy! So i made a wasted trip down to their store.
After spending a few hundred bucks on a leather bag, the least they could do is to clean up ur bag as a way of saying thank you ain't it? Dumb asses!

I'm pretty stuck onto the recent Korean Drama, my lovely Sam Soon that's being aired on Channel U. I caught a few random episodes on Channel 55 a few months ago, but didnt managed to finish watching everything from the first episode to the last. So it's definitely a good time for me to watch the telly! Ya da ya da!

The show's rather hilarious.Kept me laughing for an hour everynight... got mom and dad hooked onto the show too. Hee hee hee.

I'll be off to the leadership camp on Saturday... hope it wouldnt be too torturous. Daphne is not one who fancies running around. In fact, i've already met my exercise quota for the year.
Attending 2 initiation day is like all the exercise you ever see me doing...
But for this year, *drum rolls* i've got an extra keep fit session to attend.
Cheers to having nice aching legs ya?

Bash. Phone. Dad

Picture taken in the VIP room.
Left to right: Yunwei, Waiyan, Grace,Kaili and me!!!!

More pictures here, left to right,
Grace the airstewardess, Waiyan the senior airstewardess, YW the GI Jane, Zoe the sailor girl and me!!!!

Look it's me!
I'm up on stage presenting prizes to the contestants.
It's the only picture that YW took for me, while im on stage..

I think this picture makes me look like i've got nice Loooooonng Legs! I like it! *giggles*

The Bash is finally over! It was definitely a busy night for me, runinng around like a mad woman, trying to get things organised.
I had fun taking pictures with friends, as well as random strangers!
Ha! It wouldnt have been possible without my dear VP-kenny, as well as the rest of my remaining EXCOs who made it possible like Steph, Viv, Agacia, Fi, YW, YL, Gary, Lailin, Robin as well as Mich Wong, and not forgetting the rest of my councillors who have contributed lots of time and effort with the publicity and the actual day itself. I love you all!!!! muarks!

Not forgetting the one person who silently toook in all my tantrums, standing by me when i was upset and stressed....fetching me to and fro to places like arab street to return and borrow costumes, post bash partying etc...

I slept like a baby after the event, and i'm proud to exclaim to the world that i'm now in the Semi-Retirement stage! Hahah! The next big thing that's occuring in my life would be....

My phone! my nokia 7610 has served me well for the past 2 years plus. =(
But it's time for the sweet pinkie to go...
it's beginning to give me problems, and so i figured before the problem deteriorates, it's best that i let it go.... So now, i'm having this huge dilema about the next choice of phone.

3G or not?
I'm looking at the nokia N72 because it's pretty and pink, and reminds me alittle of my 7610, but it's a non 3G phone! The next in line would be the nokia N73 mainly because of it's functions and it's 3G.

So what would it be? function vs design... Arhhhh it's giving me a headache.
*
Dad's hospitalised, because he underwent a day surgery to have 4 stents inserted into his arteries.
The doctor said "100% clogged on one artery, and 90% clogged for the other!"
How did he survive til today? I'm baffled. Must have surpressed alot of discomfort that he's experienced, keeping it all to himself all these while...

I dont know if it's a male phenomena to act "hero", gritting and bearing with all that pain...but it worries me alot, when he acts as if nothing's happening.
So we'll see how well he recovers, and hopefully that he'll be a good boy, lie in bed and rest for the 2weeks, until he gets well.
As for the time being, i guess he'll have to quit smoking, and not fly back to China too soon.

Ringmistress!

Ringmistress costume! I got mine at no. 1 costume, Costume house.

But many have been telling me that i look more magician like *sulks*
i edited the picture, and i kinda fancy the effect that i've created! Blurred the background, and the only focus would be me! Ho ho ho!

I'll dress up tomorrow, and i'll take loads of pictures to upload! Lalala!

Bash preparations

It's been a hectic week for me. Which explains for the lack of entries for days!

I've uploaded some of the pictures and this pic, is Soooo random!
It was taken while i was battling with monsters on the Xbox 360!

Everytime i "died" i'll scream Shit! and make funny faces, and he decided to take a picture of it. Well, i realised that it's probably a better depiction of me, as compared to my usual smiley toothy pictures. ha! Unglam, but defintely 100% Daphne!

In conjunction to the promoting and marketing of RMIT's coming school bash At DXO, we decided to dress up the some of my councillors in various occupations, to create hype and publicity.
I've got the pilots, the SIA air stewardess, the Construction workers, Cleaners, Char Siew Uncle, Prisoners, Kinky Nurse and so on, parading around the school distributing flyers!

In this picture, we were about to head back to the council room, to take a lunch break! Talking about having fun while at Work, Council's the best at juggling them!

A shot with the boys after their "duty". All except for Johnny the Ah long! He's the loan shark for the day, with his "tattoos", his "gold chain' and his old school Pager!!! Hoo!!

Went mad on Thursday, shuffling around everywhere, from Bali Lane near Arab street: where Masquerade, the costume rental place a visit, to Aliwal street, the other end of Arab Street: where no. 1 Costume for more options of costumes.

no doubt No.1 costumes has a larger variety of costume to rent from, but the service rendered was horrible, i'll cite inflexible management, zero business accument sense and lazy as the main reasons.
I tried striking up a "preferred costume house" deal with them, but they said no, coz it'll be too much of a trouble for them.
Little request such as the extending of rental days, came rather unwillingly too.

After i was done with No.1 costume house, Zoe, Mich and i went over to Raffles City to collect the premiem Gift sets that Skin Food has decided to sponsor us, as part of the prizes for the Pageant Queen and King, followed by our next destination - Wisma, where Sony Ericsson/Club Orange Roadshow booth is at. We collected the stuff, then headed over to School for my final Bash meeting!

Horrid Day it was, Woke up at 8 to be at Arab street at 10, only to have my first meal at 5pm.
I'm so glad Bash is tomorrow! I need sleep and lots of rest!

Arrghhhh!!!

A typical sunday with unusual thoughts

A Sunday afternoon with Zoe proved to be bad for the bank account. We met up, hung out at Bakerzin, indulged ourselves, went shopping and i easily spent slightly less than $200 today.

I bought shoes, bags and a culotte, and i just purchased a new ribbon top online. They are so cute!!!! Zoe bought this cute peasant dress. Of course it's not all leisure, we did source for potential sponsorships everytime we enter a shop that looks rather enticing and hopeful. Haa!

I'll be off to Blitz again tomorrow, to get my hair color changed. Whoo pee!

During my endless chatters with Zoe, it dawned upon me that im not done with my lesson on expectations yet. My expectations for my closed ones, friends whom i rely heavily on, as well as Boo.

As most would probably realise, im pretty much a friend snob, with exceptionally high expectations of those surrounding me, and the most recent Myers Briggs Type indicator test that i took, would double confirm that i am exactly the type that expects people to know what im thinking of.

I have no patience for those who're dumb, and unable to comprehend my train of thought. Yep it's so true! Yup, i'd dare say that those who surrounds me have been highly trained in the art of guessing what moody Daphne wants.. Hahah!

Now back to the expectation part. On my way home post shopping binge, I thought to myself that it's important for me to learn to juggle my expectations.

To have high expectations of my circle of trusted, i'll get really shattered, should they fail me in any event, coz they're supposed to be the ones who knows me best, the ones whom i rely heavily on, the ones who will protect me, when im in trouble or depressed. The ones whom i share my deep darkest secret with.

To lower, or to have no expectations of my circle of closed ones, it'll mean that i'll have lost hope in them, generally giving up on them, coz they are no longer worth my time, my effort and most importantly Trust. Just like the show "meet the parents" The circle of trust is everything to me, so in any event if the trust is broken, it will absolutely hurt badly.

Which, back to my point of juggling expectations, would be very important to safeguard my emotions, my pride and my sanity. But how? How is one able to juggle?
At the moment, the easiest and surest way would be like the ancient weighing scale. Add on bit by bit, til it balance.

To learn to trust people bit by bit. They'd lose points if they hurt or betray me, but i wouldnt be too eager with the rewarding or adding up either.. (as im neither generous nor impractical. Face it, i've got a damn good memory, with the exception of exam or school related subjects, so it's impossible to forget a bad day)

Yup it's an unfair world out there, and many would probably point out to me that i'm impractical with my expectations, but at the end of the day, i am my very own judge, with my own set of harsh rules and expectations. I'll adjust them after each bitter lesson learnt.

a cookie day

urgh!
I thought it'll be sweet and fun to bake cookies for the Boo as a cute surprise.
Went to Holland Village spent slightly under a hundred on pet supplies ( yes you'll never realise how expensive a little guinea pig would cost you, until you start raising a 5mths old pig. She's now slightly under 3 years old.).
I went to cold storage to get the necessary cookie ingredients then went home for dinner.

I started on the cookie after coming home from work. (It's 1 am in the morning BTW, when i started on mission cookie)
I got slightly distracted by the cockroach that scuttled across the kitchen.
Yikes! Sprayed it with lots of Shiedtox. Well Da did warn me that we're having some roach infestations of sorts before she left for malaysia. *sigh*

Washed my hands, got started with the cookie mission. Took out the ingredients and started measuring them...
Opps. How much is 3/4 cup of butter exactly?
I went online to search for some sort of conversion rate to enlighten me.
--
I'd say that cookie mission was doomed right at the start.

I spilled the brick of chocolate when i dumped it into the microwave to melt it.
Half of it went onto the table, while the remaining half went to the cookie.

Couldn't locate the baking powder, so i skipped it, after all since i'm using multi purpose flour, i thought to myself. (yeah i got confused with self raising flour, in case you're giving me the eyebrows)

I begin mixing my mixture up, the chocolate smelt good, and there i was, as the machine was churning, envisioning a really pretty chocolate and orange cookie, smiling to myself. Half orange, half chocolate, just like the ones that are sold in the supermarkets.

Sigh. The mixture turned up nothing near a cookie micture. It's more of a sludge.

Oh well, i thought to myself, it might turn out looking better, after baking it.
--

Met Boo for supper, and we had Dim Sum at Mong Kok. He sent me home, i showed him what my sludge of a cookie became...

"oops it looks like lagsane"
Yeah, the "cookie" joined together, looking more like a marbled brownie cake.
Used a spoon to scoop the "cookie" and it tasted absolutely like shit.

Boo asked " where's the orange?"

I sweared i added half an orange into the mixture. Pulp and juice, and alittle rind, after all, the recipe called for 1 tablespoon of Zest.

Boo explained to me that Orange Zest is a nicer name for the skin of Orange.
He also said that my next batch of cookie would definitely turn out better. =(

Ahhh im a pathetic cookie maker. There isnt going to be another next time!
I'm shattered! Boo!

Worst of all, i spent double the time washing and cleaning up the mess that i've created, than the time spent on making cookies. Bah!

Psst! I caught The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo drift.
It's good, the drifting, and i fancy th weird tokyo drift song that they played, when the drifting carpark is used. It's by the Teriyaki Boyz.
Haha! Definitely a must watch.

It's bed time.. ZzzzzzZZ..

ya da ya da

Fooled around with pictures, and decided that i fancy this tricolored effect best...

---
I Spent the entire night fixing up the laptop.

"My computer" panel refused to display the device that i've plugged on, and I suspect it's something to do with the plug and play options, because it refuses to read Patricia's thumbdrive when i had presentation the other day...it's so embarassing for your laptop to "malfunction" infront of the entire lecture, thank god for email!

Then came my Ipod Nano, and now my camera, but at least it did read my external CD player earlier when i was ripping songs.

No matter how much i fiddled, and etc, it doesn't seem to solve the problem. Finally, after much frustration and comtemplation, i decided that the system restore option seemed the most viable, and ...

Eureka! My lappy's saying hello to all my hi-tech toys again! Haha! Boo boo, you're so gonna be proud of me! (not that i'm a tech moron to start with...)

Haven't been feeling too tech savvy recently, after encountering trojan after trojan.. Sorry that the boo had to clean up all that virus after me..Morale's been low, but it's always good to know that im still able to solve minor glitches, though it might not necessary be the best procedure? Haha whatever!

---
Ya da ya da.. It's super cold Tiger again, and i was stationed at Harry's the Esplande branch today. I'd say that today wasn't too bad, if compared to the previous 2 assignments. At least i wasn't bored! *chuckles!*
The working environment at Harry's pretty nice, cept for this rather stern fella (couldnt figure out what's his position...either bartender or manager of sorts?) that Linna and i reports to.
i spent the entire night staying out of his way.. just in case i get into his bad books.. Heehee

The atmosphere at Harry's is pretty good. It's a pretty good hang out place to just chat and idle away with friends, but since im not much of a drinker, it'll be ironic to hang out at pubs and bars and what u have, to enjoy a glass of alcoholic whatever..

I reckon that all this show job is getting alittle overwhelming.. Jobs like this never fails to make me feel bimbotic... After all, most would often perceive girls like us, to be dumb, and without much ambition, and perhaps uneducated? (i seriously hope that all that this is all part of my imagination, and not what people really perceive ya?)

I guess i'll never be thankful for what i have... being thankless about my brainless job, and on the other, complaining about how "brain consuming" council activities can be.

---
It's the RMIT Student Council's bi-annual initation day tmr!
I'm anticipating it, but definitely not excited about it. After all, it's already my 5th semester participating events of sorts.
I do feel old, and really old i mean. Seriously looking forward to the day that i'll retire from running the council, and just sit back relax school life, without all that serious time juggling/management, and the complexities of people managment.

Speaking of tomorrow, I can't quite decide if i should be playing games with my allocated group, and end up looking hot, sweaty and bothered, or should i be accompanying Robin over at the Chalet, lounging around in the rooms, waiting for the groups to arrive without a single strand of misplaced hair? Hahaha

Whatever it is, it will definitely be a long day..so i guess i ought to get some eye shut soon..

*Leonara Quacks, please conquer mr sniffles soon!

Uncompassionate Singaporeans

I so have to blog about this!
It was an really horrid experience!!

Question: What happens when your Mobile Phone battery dies on you, when you're all alone and you REALLY have to make an urgent phone call?

I dont know about you, but i decided to drop by Jelita, in search for a public phone. It seems like a logical thing to do.
Unfortunately, JELITA, doesn't happen to have any public phone in sight. I checked with the people at 7Eleven, the people at cold storage, and apparently there's none.

Next question tt i had in mind for the people after finding out that THERE WASN'T ANY PUBLIC PHONES, was to ask if i could use their phones - you know, im so sure 7Eleven and COLD STORAGE has their own "land lines" of their own. But no!
I was told that there wasn't any phones available for use at all, even if i told them that i needed to make an urgent call.

They (the front counter people with the DAMN phones) stared at me like i was some kind of Joke. No, im absolutely not joking about the lack of Compassion within people i call my FELLOW countrymates. Absolutely FUCKING SHIT.

I ended up having to Demonstrate to this random person who was staring at me in disbelieve at the counter who was paying for some stuff, that my phone didn't even have the reserve bit of battery left, before he finally DID believe that i needed a phone.

Mr Kind Hearted was using a hi-card with $16.20 left in it. I was touched that he did vaguely believe me. i made my call, and handed him a $0.20

Lesson learnt. IF your Phone BATTERY dies on you, take the lesson learnt.
Singaporeans are a bunch of HEARTLESS ASSHOLES!
And i definitely felt cheated la.

Just last Wednesday, i was hanging out at the bus stop waiting for Boo to come fetch me post Zouk.
This drunk guy came and sat really close to me... and initially shocked, he asked me if i could lend him my mobile phone. I eventually did, after figuring out that his phone wasn't working (never paid bills, i'd supposed).

Come on, think about it, i lent a drunk stranger my phone in the wee hours of the night, and no Fucking assholes is willing to lend me one in Broad Daylight?
It is absolutely Ridiculous! What afraid that i'll run away with your phones? I asked for a freaking Land line leh... im not that desperate to run away with a store phone with wires and cables and all Hello!

this is a VERY frustrating and DUMB incident. I am never EVER going to PATRONISE Jelita / COLD STORAGE/ 7 ELEVEN unnecessary ever again. All Groceries are strictly to be done at NTUC fairprice or giant or carrefour. COLD Storage and it's subsidiaries, it's KARMA back on you.

Then to think about it, if im caucasian, i might have been treated differently. So is this a case about me being CHINESE?

Yeah im irrational now. But where was the help, when i needed it?

What's your Cinderella story?

Daphne, in your Cinderella story, you'd get to Kiss the Prince

You don't need the pouffy dress, the fancy hair, or the 3-inch glass heels. A romantic soul like you just wants a guy who's a true companion, a good friend, a real prince. And if he's hot? All the better. But ultimately, you know that home is where the heart is. Which is probably why you surround yourself with good friends you can take care of and laugh with — friends who will do the same for you.But that doesn't keep you from fantasizing about the perfect relationship. It's not that you don't have your feet firmly planted on the ground. It's just that you're not afraid to shoot high. Or wish upon a shooting star. So keep reaching for your goals, Cinderella. If you do, your happily ever after can't be far away. And you can seal that with a kiss.

a day's complains and my reward.

Getting ready for Work.
My head looks kinda like a lolly.. u think?

Ahhhh, i've just accomplished yet another Super cold assignment for the week. It's definitely a job that test one's patience.

Where was i yesterday?
Hotel park royal or something like this. It's the one near City Hall.
Rachel and i were allocated there, and were lurking around the lounge, and we thought it was bad. There was practically nothing to do, and it's the slowest 4 hours of my life since the start of this semester....

Until i met today.
I was stationed at Serangoon, at some small little thing called a PUB, and it's called Secret Garden with Linna.
After 5 minutes, i was on the verge of crying.... not because i was bullied, but 5 minutes does seemed alittle like 5 hours to me. There really was nothing to do.

Time passed really

S.. L.. O.. W.. L.. Y..

Sigh..
I spent 4 hours chatting with this old gentleman who kept repeating himself. Sigh..
I need a more exciting life soon... if i were to keep up with future Super Cold promos..
I was supposed to be allocated at Harry's in Orchard.. but due to unforeseen circumstances...
Secret Garden became the final destination.

I shan't complain too much, coz eventually, it did contribute to my shopping Fund.. =)

Boo came to fetch me after work, and we went to Cineleisure to catch, The pirates of the Carribean.

Definitely a funny movie, because i remembered laughing really loudly and uncontrollably.
I like it. Do you? Especially the part where Jack Sparrow was due to be barbequed. It's hilarious!

I'm glad my day ended pretty well, after all, i started my day pretty nicely too..

I had enough sleep for once since the entire 2 weeks, and finally managed to grapple lots of time to dilly dally around, and yet managed to get my french manicures done!!!
"wha your nails "chui" already." i quote Stephanie.
It's that bad. I didn't have the luxury of time to repair my nails, not to mention re do a fresh coat of paint work.

Yes, i do like to complain alot, don't i? *smiles*

What kind of panties are you?

Tickle test: WHAT KIND OF PANTIES ARE YOU??

Hey wild woman, you let the world know that you've got your own ideas and aren't scared to act on them. It's not that you break (or even bend) the rules that much. It's more that you've got a unique style and a great attitude to match. And, even better, you love showing it off — that's why a saucy thong matches your personality. You've got the confidence and pizzazz to make your way seemingly effortlessly through the world, and you probably inspire others along the way. That's wild!

Mixing work with pleasures

Mixing work with pleasures always seem so fun! I've loaded up pictures of Da and i, working at the Car-nival at the Expo.

I wasn't supposed to be working on a Sunday morning, instead, I was supposed to be catching up with sleep, after my tiring day at Saturday at Sentosa, But........!

This girl backed out of the assignment at the very last minute, and so Tony (the sweetie who arranged this job for us) , asked Da if i could replace her....
and there i was, Ta DA!!!!

The instant replacement who jumps out of bed, looking blurry eyed at 10.15am in the morning, scuttling around home to dress up for work. The girls were supposed to report for work at 11am! However am i gonna get to expo on time?!? It's not like Expo's just situated right across home. Bleh!

Luckily, i was allowed to report work alittle later, and I made it there via cab at 11.30! Hoo!!
Work for the day consist of distributing flyers, posing and smiling for a billion and one photographers, and i really had fun shimmying up the car bonnet to pose for pictures! Ooh!

We spent most of our time, photowhoring with the yellow Evo with the unicorn decals. But our favourite Evo was really the black one, with really shiny silver stickers! *double grins!*

Oh in case you were wondering, the company that we were working for, sells mainly customised car stickers and decals. Pretty!

Now that im done with Sunday, let's move on back to Saturday...
Zoe and Phyllis introduced a really simple job to Audrey and i. Our job scope?

To mend the games booth for Mitsubishi Electric's family day! I was incharged of the golf putty booth, while Zoe's was the dart booth...Phyllis's was the "Smash the moth ball" booth, and Audrey's was the soccer booth.

We spent most of our time enjoying the slow Tram ride on the beach, even though we were lost and late. *oops*
We then decided to give the person incharge a call, and he came to rescue us in a 6 seater Buggy!
I haven't been riding on a buggy for ages, so i definitely enjoyed my Buggy ride too!

We hung around Sentosa until dark, and the event was giving out lots of Light stick, so Zoe, Audrey and i armed ourselves with light sticks, and begin posing for pictures! It was just too bad that Phyllis had to leave early!!

I went home with very sore thighs, from the bending, squatting and standing up motion of picking up the golf balls!

My thighs are practically screaming in protest, from the momrnt i woke up this morning... til now, the wee hours of the monday morning.

Imagine the horrors of walking, not mentioning, to throttle around in 3 inch boots!!
Sitting down, and standing up proved to be such a painful experience that i practically screeched everytime i have to bend or sit. Sigh..

I hope my thighs will feel better, when i wake up for Buying Behavior classes tmr.
@$$#!%&!@
Morning classes! Urgh!

have a break

I think it's a picture of Pebbles when he was a hammie Baaaybee...

Cute right? He's such a terror now! >;(

I declared my own little holiday of my own!
Since there wasn't any school for me on Thur and Fri, i decided that it was time for a short little break.
I took time off Council matters, despite everything, coz i very much needed personal time to just relax and do nothing.
Boo and i finally watched "Just My luck" starring Lindsay Lohan. She's pretty, and the movie's funny in it's own bimbotic way, though the luck was alittle too extreme. =)

I lazed around and did nothing, catching up on sleep, sleep, and nothing else but sleep.
Not forgetting my lunch with Mommy at Swissotel Merchant Court today. I'm glad she fancied the Durian Pengat dessert, that i highly recommended, we both had bowls and bowls of helpings. Got a slight sore throat from eating too much of it, but it's definitely worth it.

Dropped by town, got my flimsy top that i've been eying, then went over to look for Boo, watched him play World of Warcraft, and kind of fell asleep pretty soon after. Drift in and out of sleep, and finally woke up at 10plus.
We decided that we have a crab craving, so it was No signboard for us at Kallang.

There, we ordered a pepper crab, a chilli crab, 2 serving of fried mantou, and a plate of broccoli with scallops. Yummy. I was stuffed when i was done with dinner.
We were their last customers for the night. Hahah

We took a stroll along kallang, and Boo decided that he seemed to have over fed me throughout our 2.5 years together.
Yes, i seemed to have gained weight, especially when you compare pictures back then, to the picture that he took for me, while i was asleep. I look like a freaking hamster with my huge ass cheeks! But hey, it's not that bad! I still love food! =) *slurps*

The boo sent his car in for some audio equipment rearrangement, to create boot space, so he's got the Proton again, as a replacement car. Boo allowed me to fool around with the car, and this time, I drove myself home! I guess i gave him quite a scare. Haha!

Super Cold

Super cold beer anyone?

It's the 13th of July, the day Tiger Beer launches it's Super cold beer.
I'm not much of a Beer person, so i didn't give it a try.

The soft media lauch at momo on Wed night, was fun. I took lots of pictures on polaroid. Unless i scanned them, i doubt anyone would ever see them digitally.

I gave out Cold frozen wet tissues in the day dressed in my winter garb, and was made to say the jingle "expect temperatures to drop" when i give out the tissues.

Only problem would be the fact that i've only got one mouth, and there's like this whole crowd that was snatching for my freebie.... definitely an interesting and tongue tangling experience.

The only time you'll realise how scary Singaporeans can be, no matter how well dressed they are, even if it's just Wet tissue, many actually asked me for multiple ones.

Luckily for them, im generous! Hahah

world peace

Yeah i've been busy. Busy to my neck, busy neglecting my poor little boo bun.
It's that busy. It's only Tuesday, but there's already council applicant interviews, Bash meetings, Recruitment drives, pageant stuff done with so far.

I badly needed my personal space and time for myself, to reflect and just not bother myself with "worldly" issues.. So retail therapy served it's purpose well, armed with my nano, i had all the silence i needed, despite the throngs of people walking by... *smiles*

Eyed at a cute but flimsy top, but bought another top instead. Pampered myself with a Laneige water sleeping pack, and saw a friend or 2, said Hi, but was just too tired to carry a conversation.

Tried on a few pairs of shoes at Far East, but the foot support was either bad, too harsh on the feet, or is atrociously manufactured, especially the Mondo floral heels that i tried on. To think that they have the cheek to put crap merchandise up on display! I'll be crippled in 5minutes, if i had to walk in it!

There's simply no excuse for it to have 2 stump of nail like lumps sticking out at the heel area, when it's supposed to be flat, for your heel to rest on? How am i going to walk, when even standing is uncomfortable?

-------

The much needed personal space helped clear my thoughts, and looking at the way things are going, i am definitely going to have a fruitful experience this semester. Problem keeps appearing, and at the end of everything it all boils down to the complexity of human relations.

Would my intevention help solve conflicts? If it would, i'll gladly do it. Unfortunately, life is never that easy.

If you ask me, i think it's precisely the complexity of human behavior, that made me the person i am today. The reason why i choose to be a friend snob, to keep a low profile, and be as aloof as i can be. ( Yes, I enjoy being a hermit crab at times...)

Being denial and aloof has it's perks! Yet, circumstances are kinda pushing me out of my comfort zone. Things are getting alittle too spicey recently, and i'll gladly take a peaceful boat ride anyday, than to settle for an adventurous stormy ride ever so often.

So why can't i be bimbotic for once, and just really wished for World peace?

Because sweetie, life is never a bed of roses, says I. Ha!

shoppping spree!

I've been busy shopping! I've shopped the entire town!
Zoe and i combed Icon a day before orientation, and i bought myself a pretty bracelet with dangly trinkets, and i fell IN LURVVVEE with this pretty fairy bracelet. But For a toy accessory, it's definitely not worth the dough...

Was throwing money over at Mango Scotts before i went over to ICON, and i bought a black racer tank and a blue tubie, while Zoe was having her hair trimmed.

Went shopping at Marina and Suntec on Saturday, and i bought myself a cute slack pants with pocket ribbons from Mango Marina, and this suspiciously short stripey green skirt, which i mistook as a tube top, and there's the very sweet and demure white blouse that i bought with Zoe at BySI, and not forgetting the pair of capri tt i bought at Suntec, to perform operation Slitted Capri.

Slitted capri was a success, though mommy thinks the slits went a tad too high.
Ironed my growing stack of clothes, altered the looks of a top, a dress, and they look as cute as new, and ta da! I'm all ready for school!!!
Itchy fingers can just be sooooo fun at times! Haha!

School starts on Monday, while the others are starting on Wednesday...how unfair!!

I'm signing off for supper, then sleep. Yuckky school!Bah!

blah blah blah updates!

2 seperate mambo days *note the outfits*

Orientation is finally over! I dont know about the others, but i am definitely satisfied with all my fellow councillor's performance, and amazed at how everything flowed smoothly without any major hitches!

Probably has something do with the my low expectations, and my over active imagination that kept nagging preparing me for any disasters to happen. Therefore, i really wasn't expecting much, but you know, good surprises are always welcomed!

I ended my day, going over to Boo's house to recuperate on my sleep.
I didn't sleep the night before orientation, not because i was too excited, but because my laptop's down with trojan virus once again. *beep* *beep* *beep*
I swear i wasn't surfing any porn or illicit websites, so why was i affected, it absolutely beats me.
My poor bun bun have to fly down to my place after he was done with work, to save my laptop.

Naturally, i was devastated over the unfortunate virus incident! It wasn't until yesterday, that it was repaired..sigh..

I woke up went home, got changed, and ended my Wednesday at Zouk's Mambo Jumbo, as a form of a mini post orientation celebration with Kenny, Robin, Zoe, and not forgetting the others that were present at zouk, but hanging out with other cliques. =)

I spent the whole of yesterday recuperating on sleep, yes i am exhausted!
Waking up in the evening, i trudge over to boo's place, and we got hooked onto TVB's "The gateaux affair" shortly after dinner. It's really amazing how boo and i get addicted to drama serials like aunties do, and what's worst, we can never stop ourselves.
It all started with Channel 55's first episode, and i decided that watching 1 hour's worth of drama just wasn't satisfying enough, so we went to the living room, dug out the Gateaux set of DVD, and started watching...
Just like Desperate housewife, my bun bun and i watched all 20 episode within a night. We finally finished the gateaux affair at 11am in the morning, friday. Scary, aren't we? *grin*

It's interesting enough to note that i never watch the telly at home on a daily basis, but once i get started on drama's like this, i can never tell myself to stop. Yes i'll sacrifice sleep, just to finish the story as soon as possible.

Well the Male lead in Gateaux is Joe Ma. He's just soooooo charismatic in this show. Yes, yes, i'm swooning over how dashingly charismatic he is in this show.... *drools*
I'm even considering getting my boo bun to wear a blazer in this hot sunny Singapore. That's how crazy i am! Ho ho ho!

I woke up at 7 in the evening, and got dressed to go home. Boo had to meet the boys for dinner, to celebrate Danny's birthday! Yes, they're getting old! Haha!
I got home, ate dinner, stoned alittle, update mommy about my life ( from orientation day til today), stoned alittle more, than met up with Zoe for a KTV session at Cineleisure Kbox.
Yeah, we sang from 11pm - 4am.. Her voice is gonna give way, while mine's fine..
It was fun, and we decided to watch sad touching MTVs to entertain ourselves - it sure became alittle soppy and teary after alittle while, *beams*
We plan to go on a shopping trip tmr, wish me luck with my shopping list ya?
It's not often that i get things that i plan to buy, as well as items that is never within my budget, and of course, the size and color. Bah! You'll never know how complicating shopping can be, until you've met me. Hahaha!
