Rwar...
I'm not sure what's wrong with me lately.
I cant seem to fall asleep at the correct sleeping time.
Its so irritating.
And all attempts to entertain self (to sleep) always ends up with online shopping.
I easily have 10 items lurking somewhere in all sorts of online shopping sites.
and saying no to shopping is like saying no to Trixie the dog.
It always falls flat.
The dog will still try anyway
:(
Lolol
So the best option is always to walk away until it pops up in the head again (most likely going to be when I'm awake)
Maybe I can wake up with a clearer state of mind and half that shopping list of mine.
Popped 2 breads into the system earlier, and i'm still hungry.
Grrr I should have bought the 10 breads for $10 deal from Breadtalk instead of 5 for $6.
Saved 2 for the mom and bro, and already ate up 2.
resisting the custard fruit tart and green tea swiss roll for lunch tmr. (uhhh no math failure here, I threw in an additional slice of green tea cake because I'm always hungry hungry)
---
I'm alittle upset that people around me are going away for holiday trips over the week.
>:(
I'm stuck in SG infinitely.
unhappy girl with empty croaky stomach
I WANT HOLIDAY TRIP TOO!

Hello! It's almost May...
Hello!
I know I took a short hiatus from posting here...
This week hasn't been too good for me, and therefore in a bad frame to write.
I was pretty bummed out to learn that one of the project I've pitched for has been rejected.
Rwar!!
All the conceptualizing and hours i've invested into the artwork, not forgetting the mosquito bites from site recce, all gone to waste!
I believe there will be a day where I will be given the chance to utilize all that I've consolidated, and so my little pride is slowly recovering as the day goes by.
In an attempt to revitalise my sad little soul, I have been trying to stay off my Mac, whenever possible, and went on a creative binge to happify myself.
I chanced upon an origami website to create PAPER BOWs!
Omg!
How cool right?
Yay!
Seems like my penchance for ribbons and bows is never ending!
Here we go, some paper bows that I've started on.
I decided that they looked pretty together, and the only approved place in the house to string them up, would be my room!
I went a on a folding spree, and did up about 13-14 of them in total.
I ended up utilizing only 12 for the dangles on my window.
I reckon I've got a thing for hanging stuff.
Will change them when I get bored of them... like how I removed a panel of my curtain just because I like it that way..
If you look carefully, I actually painstakingly sewed up the paper with needle and thread, just so that the ribbons would hold in place nicely when I hang them up.
This was taken after I hung them up in place of my curtains.
In my crazy zest in being creative, my sleeping cycle is waaaaaay off the charts!
I decided that sunrise looked pretty with my new creation, and I woke up to take a picture of it before sleeping on.
iphone did a terrible job in capturing the colors of the sky :(
It was a beautiful morning, bad pictures or not!
I also mentioned previously in my Rainbows entry back in February, that I would be doing an Aurelie Bidermann inspired bracelet, here's my take of the bracelet, in my favourite Purple, red and peach hues.

I also mentioned previously in my Rainbows entry back in February, that I would be doing an Aurelie Bidermann inspired bracelet, here's my take of the bracelet, in my favourite Purple, red and peach hues.
My take on summery colors at the moment consist mainly of Indie Summer hues,
Red and Purple!
even my worn out nail design was Dark purple with glitter chips and red metallic french tips.
It's just kinda worn out and yucks to feature it here.
Here's a picture of the real Aurelie braided bracelet.
Workmanship wise, mine's a fluke.
There's an obvious price difference in the materials i've acquired, so with the same amount of money, I can probably make tons of the same stuff in all the color combinations that I can think of!
If I were to imitate everything to the core, it'd be piracy!
More importantly, so long as I'm happy with my growing collection of arm party, I dont really care!
I'm not even sure when my accessory gypsy phase would die of, but it does not seem like anytime soon!
Gotta sleep.
The girls have arranged to attend some dog party sort of gathering held at the West Coast.
I hope the Dog behaves herself later!
Night!

Passport pictures
Renewal of my travelling passport is seriously annoying.
I've never gotten to the part of complaining about how wayward the agency site is.
For starters, I applied for the renewal for like 200 times in total, and it failed 200 times whenever I get to the paying bit.
I wrote an angsty email to their techie about the problem I was facing and their generic reply was terribly epic.
Here we go, xoxo from their techie.
HOW IN THE WORLD IS CHROME, SAFARI & MAC not considered human worthy?!
To think that Singapore prides itself as a tech savy country.
Technological/ state of the art sort of level, and their official government website is not high tech enough to support Mac and chrome users?!
Last I check.. Mac users is increasing like mad, and chrome is google, and a part of windows.
These people dont need to renew passport huh?
it's like @#(&@!
Fine!
I borrowed the brother's laptop to do the deed, and the brother sniggered at my request of
Could you boot up your internet explorer please?
Dude was like... omg, the last time I opened up the IE, was when I first bought the laptop - to install to Mozilla and opera.
Next in line,
I KNEW IT!
They rejected my submitted picture, stating that my attire was not appropriate.
Hello!
You're talking about a girl who loves to break / flout all the possible attire rules back in school. I do believe that I've got my base covered.
I read through the entire website, on rules and regulations, and NOTHING said that I could not look "naked" in my passport picture.
WHHHYYYYYY....
*annoyed*
Revised the picture and added straps on.
My newly added straps aren't symmetrical, but it's not like anyone is going to care right?!
The passport better be approved soon.
I'm really getting very sick of the entire fiasco and effort involved.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, my love for all government related chores are usually
quite epic.
I do not think they are finding fault with me, but it's just that the system is built with too much constraints, too much red tape, too much rules and regulations.
That people can no longer think for themselves, BUT just follow everything that has been mapped out.
Grave issues to the max.
Le Sigh
On happier notes, the brother showed me a 9gag post that got me started on 9gag AGAIN.

BATTLESHIP
Just came home from the movie - BATTLESHIP, and I think its worth a mention.
(ok and that i've got an hour to spare before mommy heads out to the airport to pick daddy up from his flight. yeah...5am in the morning. )
I walked into the theatre armed with a cup of coke and a platter of fried chicken drowned with ketchup, and absolutely without an idea about what the show would be about (I vaguely saw the reviews on Facebook and Twitter about it being good), and on an average of 5 yawns for Sucker punch (one of the worst movie EVER!), in my humble opinion....
I'd say that BATTLESHIP is 0 Yawns.
Confirm!
I sat there and was entertained.
Story plot might have been abit over used, but the movie Awesome.
It made me tensed up,
made me laugh, and I was awake 100% throughout the 2hour ++ duration.
Ok, and I officially think Taylor Kitsch, the lead guy, is handsome.
*slurps*
Now it's time for everyone to watch the show and let's perv on my new handsome together!

For the moment..
I'm not sure about you, but I know for sure that I'm the sort of person who does everything for the moment.
What the heck is that?!
you may wonder...
My best-test concise answer to that would be
I live for the moment, and maybe a little for the future.
I live to eat.
Because there is so many yummy stuff waiting for me to devour.
I dont see the point in eating the same food everyday
(sure I have my favourite poisons like cream cakes, bubble tea, jellys, fish soup, beef steaks, sushi, meatballs, double boiled soups and the list goes on..)
I dont do crickets (bugs) and worms and other gore - I do draw the line there.
But I do eat a rather decent variety of food to date.
My daddy on the other hand seem to have this entire checklist of food to add into our consumption portfolio.
You should see the kicks and delight he gets, just by visiting the local Supermarket zoo, (Sheng Shiong)
He's gotten Bosten Lobster, some weird live prawns, some weird transfigured scallops, Geoduck, and the list goes on...
Rabbits, kangaroo, fried sparrows (yup, the tiny birdies on the tree), snakes, crocodile, soft shelled turtles, ostrich...
I vaguely remembered eating them in various stage of my life, and i'm already the least adventurous one of the lot after my mommy.
Hahaha.
I believe that life (time) does not wait for anyone.
So it's either you try it (when it's presented to you at that very moment), or you dont (and possibly regret after).
By opening the option of trying (now) , you eliminate the option of regret in (future)
That's how I live my life for the moment, and maybe a little for the future.
Clever?
:D
I live to dress
I cannot deal with wearing the same stuff, same style, same color EVERY FREAKING DAY.
it's probably an option worst than death in my opinion.
In my optimal state of mind, I'll like to wake up very well rested, inspired and aesthetically spruce myself up according to my mood.
:)
Ahh there are also days where my mind is entirely blank and I'll just blank out in front of the wardrobe wishing that I could crawl back to bed or live in my pajammies for the day.
Pajamas IS a style too, isn't it?!
Unfortunately, life isn't always a bed of roses, so I usually cheat on wardrobe camping days.
How?
By Pre-fixing an ensemble of clothes (usually written on post it notes and stuck ALLOVER my wardrobe entrance) should I be in need of a mood help for the day.
Or perhaps when I'm in a terrible rush.
These notes also serve as a reminder to me for items and combinations that I've always wanted to try out, but forget/never got the chance to type of situation.
After all, its usually out of sight, out of mind theory for me, and I do not want to regret not trying out a style, and neither will I want to pull off the look at a later age in my life (80 years old looking like a kawaii jappy chick)
Hahahhaa.
I usually code my day by color, or the feel of a style.
like its summer now - and I attempt to ditch my whites for the happier colors like coral..
neon pinks, fuschia, purple, peach, and red.
I'm digging and hunting (shop) for more denim shorts, wedges, platforms, bikinis and coveralls.
Bronze, tan colored make up to create a summery look.
Tie/braid up my hair
and not forgetting the sunglasses and choice of nail color/design!
---
Fretting about the future isn't quite a bad thing, as like wanting to look precisely like how you do yesterday, and the day before and the day before x100.. ( yeah I do .... not want to age and have wrinkles and freckles and scars)
We all fancy some form of security and it's really easy to be creatures of habit.
Living monotonously is a really safe choice - almost machine like (if you ask me).
If life is going to be so consistent - there where would the gradual self progression come from?
Why do we need to take breaks and holidays to break away from routines?
I do have a million "machined" like routine..
Like how I'll camp out online every single spare time possible.
How i'll need to format my pillows and toys into the right formation before a good sleep is possible.
How I like to color sort everything automatically..
But I'll like to see the boring stuff as a by product of attaining a colorful life and progression.
For the only way to learn and learn (and learn), is to unlearn what you've already learnt in other to better oneself, and become a master at it.
Admittedly I'm one of those jack of all trades, and mistress/master of none sort of girl, but it's really not too bad in wanting to learn constantly.
However My list and arguement would never end, so I'll just end with my two favourites - Food and clothes - for the moment.
Okay, and some "summer-ry" pictures that I took the other day...
Fushia, coral and braided hair.
Here's my dog, lady gaga inspired.
Hahahha!

I like those peplum shorts!
I seriously wonder where can I get them?
coz they are definitely not available on the shop that I saw this picture from.
:(
On other news,
RWAR!
I tried to renew my passport online, and the online system is fucked up.
After like 5 tries, I GIVE UP.
their stupid APPLE system is *ahem* STUPID.
urgh.
Everytime I try to make payment, it'll give me all sorts of crap problems.
I've tried credit card and ibanking.
Both also fail!
Anyway, after lots of sweat and blood.
I decided that I could live with this facial shot for the next 5 years for my soon to be passport.
The down side?
I look NAKED in the picture.
LOL.
Maybe I should photoshop some straps on, since the application part got delayed.
Hahaha.
