first week of march 2007

Ha! I declared my own holiday, and totally went ahead with enjoying myself, as planned.

Wednesday night : Went for Zouk's Mambo. It's been at least 6 good months, since i last set foot into any clubs, least to say my usual Mambo. Very thick of me to say that everyone missed me. Hahahha (as IF!). Kinda forgot my moves and grooves, if you ask me. It's good catching up with old friends.

Thursday : Went to school for project meeting in the morning, attended DC lesson in the afternoon, then Set foot into JB, Malaysia, in the night, and it's very nice of Simon to come all the way out to get me, then go all the way back to JB again. We Headed over to City Square to look for boo in the office, grab some groceries, yummilicious BBQ food at a RM a piece. $20RM worth of BBQ wings + Sotong + Abalone. Hahah.. Yums!

Headed back to Msuite for Majong session, Pelly, Boo, Simon and myself + Eugene who dropped by later. (Yes, my dearest sister, i'm, sorry that i forgot to inform you about the absence of majong tiles, and your friends made a wasted trip over to our place for it. )

Some happy shots of a freshly napped but trigger happy me in Msuite ( post shopping).
Friday : Went over to City Square to do some shopping. Gaahh.. i bought a clunky chain cuff, an RM9.90 top, skeleton detailed jeans, and a pair of flatties that i love to death!

I was rather upset that my "singaporean" identity was easily detected this time. It wasn't like this the last time i shopped there! *pouts* Bad disguise this time, either that or the sales people were more discrete the last time i shopped there. Boo!
The last time i was there, people were coaxing me to sign up some insurance and savings plan, and the salesgirl spoke to me in malay! I looked that malaysian!!!!

Saturday : Went for Fallout Boy Concert with Boo, Shing and Danny. Turns out to be pretty good stuff! Bad part about the concert, was the very draggy opening from 2 random band. Wasted the first hour of my time listening to bands that i'm uninterested in.

However, i spent most of my time oogling at Pete Wentz, the bassist and spokesperson of Fallout boy. Well, if you need to know, he's the better looking fella in the entire band. I'd say that he's quite an attention whore, as he spends most of this time prancing around the stage with his antics, and guitar swapping tricks. Though not the cutest star i've seen though. *smirks*

Sunday : Gave Sheila a surprise advanced birthday party. Had mexican fusion food over at North border, followed by Wine, Cigar and Cake over at 1 Rochester Park.
I guess the cake spoilt the taste of the wine, and it was interesting to note that i felt wonkier, and Sheila puked, despite having drank lesser than the week before.

Monday : Met Zoe for dinner, coz bad mommy didn't get me dinner =( .
Headed over to "Sa mar", at Arab Street, the same place we did the last time round. This time however, with Zu Sheng and Sheena. We had drinks and Shesha. I'm not into the smoking, but drinking ceylon tea is fine.. =)
Yep, "Zuuuu" ordered Strawberry and Cappacino flavour this time round, and we sat around for ages chit chatting, til my butt bears the imprint of the chair.

Now that i'm home sitting around, it's sad to announce that i'm suffering from a head throbbing effect from the pot of tea that i consumed.
Caffeine intolerance. Bah!

More updates to come.... and til the next time,

24th Birthday.

Despite being overwhelmed with projects, I've found time to celebrate my birthday!
Tsk tsk tsk.

24 Feb.
We went over to Vivo City, to walk around, get me my white cottony seal from Mother Garden. Hee hee hee. Dinner at Vivo City is a total nightmare. from Crystal Jade, to Tung Lok, to Dian siao er, to Sushi Tei, they all had horrible queue.

We ended up having dinner at Carls Junior, it's still crowded but manageable, and i was stuffed with a double patty portobello burger, and ended up giving 1/5 (boo claims it's 1/4) of my burger to boo, to finish up.
Boo had a Santa Fe Charboiled chicken, which tasted decent, chilli fries. He doesnt seem so stuffed to me though. Ho ho ho.

Left for a short spin at Mount Faber, before heading over to Rochester Park to meet Roy and sheila.
We had 2 bottles of dessert wine, side dishes, and cigar and made merry.
Roy drank most of it, as boo, sheila and i weren't too good at holding our liquor.
It was a matter of who turned the reddest. Haha.

25 Feb
Went over to Plaza Singapura to catch a movie. We caught Protege, which i think is a good show, but the story line is pretty much in line with the same style as infernal affairs.
We had dinner at Cafe Cartel, and the food serving there, is as crazy as Carl's.
Just eating the chicken thigh up was about all that i can eat. While he had St Louis ribs i think.

2 days of good food is going well down to our waist. Haha.

My sweet boo boo, insisted that i should get a cake, which led us to stop by West Coast Mac, for an Apple Crumbie!
Apple crumbie cutting ceremony is documented in Boo's cam.. so i emerged from NUS with apple crumbi in my tummy, and 6 mosquito bites on my right leg.

Saddest discovery for the night, the NUS Arts canteen that we used to hang around back then, is gone! That was where i celebrated my first birthday with Boo 3 years back, so we made do with the enginnering fac.

But still essentially, i had a Happy birthday!
I'm glad i enjoyed myself, and still managed to hand in HRM. Whooppee!!!!

I fell asleep, shortly after taking this picture with my muffin.

Poor sick Daphy

Chinese New Year 2007

Hah! The bad thing about finally having free time to do anything i want, is to be stranded home by the rain and be SICK. Bah! Nothing beats the physical torture of having to cough your lungs out, or have a very bad leaking nosed. Yes, "ah m currantly speaking lyk dis becoz of my nosed" with my bad bad cold.

I so want to go out and shop, party, and have fun.
Now that i've got the time, i've finally gotten a little list of stuff that i've wanted! hahahah!

Oh well, in anycase, pictures coming up - as promised! *grinz*

First day of CNY, while visiting grandaunts and whatnots.
Da and i were kinda bored, sleepy and tired.
The lack of sleep..
You see, after Reunion dinner the night before, we headed over to Chinatown, to get myself some of that jelly that i've craved for. Squishing ourselves into the crowd, weaving in and out, in and out, with millions of sweaty arms brushing past me.... we could barely see anything.

An hour later, we gave up, and headed over to Xen Bar for alittle salsa, until the crowd downstairs dispersed alittle. I salsaed a little with the pros!!!
But being the typical beginner, I dance like a dork, but who cares?!

When Da and i finally emerged from Xen bar, the crowd was manageable, but unfortunately, very much Jelli-Less. =( There wasn't any jelly in sight! *pouts*
We ended up buying Pussy Willows at a dollar a bunch. Hahaha.

We bought 2 bunches, and the pussy willow uncle asked if i was japanese. "??!??"
Very random - must be that bad chinese that i spoke probably.
*

Yes, the lack of a haircut, forced me to go into styling them when i feel like it. It's not too bad here is it?
I need to figure out my hair directions soon, because i am looking like an unkempt idiot walking around most of the time.

Immediate vanity to get a hair cut this instant, VS Gritting my teeth, look ugly to grow my hair long. Gah... disgusting combination!

Third day of Chinese New year, we visited friend's place. Going around to Winston's, Roys, and Boo's place, it's fun! pictures taken from sheila's camera.

We ended our night with a sumptuous, at Tuft city. Had seafood, and it's yummy.

How man and woman shower.

Boo sent me this link for a video clip.
Funny!

http://www.metacafe.com/watch/412867/how_to_shower_men_women/

and yes, happy birthday to me! I'm officially 24! a year to go, and i'll hit my mid twenties.
Oh joy.

as mentioned. Birthday pictures to come after 28th Feb. =)

I chose seal seal as my present.
Cute? Yah... i know, so old already still buy toys. But seal seal is soooo cute!
Thank you boo! Muark!

miserable week

Miserable! It summerises how i'm feeling at the moment.
With HRM due after my birthday, and Leadership management due soon after on the 28!
i'm so totally not going to have much of a happy birthday!

Having spent the whole of Wednesday night reading up on Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple. Yes, i actually bothered to walk in, to SIM Management House at Namly Drive, borrowed biography of Steve Jobs, started reading at 6pm in the evening, and finished the entire book at 5am in the morning (with random long breaks in between).
Reading in the name of research, anything, but to start working on the actual thing. *grin*

*
Developed a sore throat when i woke up on Thursday for Leadership management project meeting, which i attributed to the lack of sleep, Thursday lessons in the afternoon is definitely too taxing for me.

I packed up, and headed home, after attending half of my Distribution Channel class.
It's a very bad combination of Menstral cramps and sore throat.
Woke up for dinner, and still feeling wonky, i realised that i missed Salsa classes in the napping process. Boo.

I dread the feeling of ingesting too much phlegm in my system. Gross!
*
Friday's the worst. As i battle a splitting headache, rising temperature, sore throat that developed into cough...and slight flu, chills and feeling warm. Gah! I could recall vaguely that charismatic leadership, Steve Jobs and other related stuff kept popping up in my sleep, as i toss and turn throughout the night. So much for rested sleep -_-.

Seems really impossible, but would fancy recovering from misery, before i turn 24.

Now to head back to Human Resource Management literature review again. =(
Life is good, isn't it?
*
On the brighter side of life, Boo took leave for Saturday and Sunday, to celebrate my birthday for me! If it wasn't for the fact that 2 projects are due soon after, we'll probably be out of Singapore by now.

It's also one of those rare chance where my birthday coincides with the Chinese New Year!

I'll upload the chinese new year pictures, as soon as i've settled my projects, as well birthday related stuff alright?
Til then..

enthusiasm and following through

I'm feeling particularly pissed and upset at this moment.

I hate it when someone yanks something that i value about, into my weakness, without even bother about looking at MY perspective.

What seems so wrong to you, might not necessary mean it's bad for me.
Say my enthusiasm for example, yeah, i may be enthusiastic about endless possibilities and all, but IT is WRONG to say that it's a bad trait, when i do not follow through any projects or task that i started.

It takes a freaking rigid person to not be able to understand my perspective, because people who knows me better, would know that i'm exactly the sort who relishes the process of doing and starting a project more, than to look at the end product, and announced that i've completed my project/product.
Meaning that just by looking at the end product is not going to make me the happiest idiot around, rather its the process that i enjoyed better.

I'm not a conventional person who'll "enjoy fruits of labour".
For one, i am not a farmer.
Secondly, what's the point of toiling half your life away, just to eat the damn fruit up in less than 5 mins?
Fine! Given that the freaking tree produces like 50 or more fruits, and so you multiply each fruit by 5 mins, and you get like 250 mins of "enjoyment".

This is a load of horseshit! It's something that the ancestors cooked up to make sure you dont starve or something.

I on the other hand, would prefer looking at the entire thing in another point of view.
If i plant a tree and follow through, i'll know that i'll have a fruit tree.
If i plant a tree, and never follow through, what would i get?

Plenty or alternatives and surprises!
1. I'll be surprised, if the tree did pop up, since i didnt follow through
2. Might still be an empty patch of land
3. Weeds might pop out instead...and it'll be interesting to find out what freaking weed it'll be
4. Nothing might happen.

What's so wrong about not following through?
I went through the process, learnt something about it, and i dont have to look at the freaking tree to exclaim to the whole world that it is my tree!

Yet the next time i decided that i'll want to plant a tree again.. i might either consider the possibilities, find a smarter and quicker method to do it, and eventually - the only reason why i'll want to do it, would be to pass time!

SO WHAT IS SO BLOODY WRONG WITH NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH?

If it's important enough, like you've said about not being a trait that my boss would appreciate, when i start working... i'll have to follow the process through, because it's work. These bunch of people pay me, to finish it up. Work get it, not personal entertainment and enjoyment.

I could finish up the jeans that i dissected. But would i really wear it when i'm done making it into a skirt?? What am i going to do with it? I could too finish crocheting a sweater, but would i wear it too? But you know what, you're pointing at the fact that i can't be bothered with completing my driving. Short of a few lessons and to pass the advanced theory, i'm already so near to getting a license. I know. But i simply dont have the time to follow through.
If you freaking chauffer me to BBDC everyday. I'll find the time! Give me a car, i'll show you how to follow through

There's a plenty of stuff that i'll follow through, because i'm sure i'll use it.
If there's no purpose for it, why finish it? Or worst, pushing yourself to finish something mihgt not necessary be good either. IF you didnt put you heart into finish the job... it's considered slipshod. Then you'll be going on about yet another bad trait etc.

Yes, you may argue and say why start on it?
Well, at the end of the day, it's better than not starting it. At least i took some form of knowledge with me, while i was doing it. It's not the end product that matters mom, it's the process of it.
At least i could say i've tried. Just that i couldnt see the point of trying harder to finish it, for the sake of finishing it.

No one's perfect, but at least just respect it.
Not following through is not about being lazy, or the lack of determination. There's just so many more things to do, than to finish up a useless bit.
The only reason why we had that conversation, is because you love me. Yeah i know.
And the only reason why i'm blogging it, is because i feel so wronged.

pressies, pressies, pressie

Boo requested for a birthday wishlist. I decided up a wish list. But after doing up the design...
i'm blanking out on the part of WHAT i want. Haven't been shopping around too much recently, so i'm kinda lacking on the wish and want part. oops!

Garry went on a holiday with his GF, and they got us this! Haha cute portion of the packaging that came along with a little carrier box.

This is the actual version of our gift! So cute right??

Happy day!

WE celebrated out 3rd year anniversary on the 13th!
Our theme for the day was : Happy Day! Boo named it! Haha!
When i was done with school, boo picked up a very cranky and tired me from school, and we went to Guthrie House for a "light" snack at Venezia.

Being a really hungry girl, i decided on getting myself a seafood marinara pasta, and while he ordered a spi-NACH and ham quiche. It's pretty yummy, except for the fact that it was 4 plus in the afternoon, and i slurped up a whole plate of pasta. Having eaten so much, Boo was rather worried about me being able to eat dinner later.

Can't quite remember why we ended up at my place, but.. oh wait, i remember!
i fell asleep while waiting for toilet boy to be done in the toilet...
We both took a 30min nap ...and left home at 6 plus.

Had dinner at Jacks Place. Yes i ate a full course just 3 hours later (hah! aren't you amazed at the depth of my appetite?). Turns out that the Jack's special steak that i ordered, didn't taste too special *pouts*
But i enjoyed the course nonetheless.

Boo decided that he needed a walk and fresh air..so we went strolling along East Coast Park. It was breezy, and pretty tranquilizing, until this bunch of ah bengs started to blast their techno songs on their Van's sound system. Gahhh!

Had to get home early, because OTD was due the next day. How disgusting can it be, for a project to be due on Valentines Day?!!

Conclusion for the day, it was a Happy Day Boo! muarks~

updates on personality stuff

Ben found this website that describes my personality better than the previous one i found, while doing the myer briggs personality test. For one, it's more formal and detailed on its descriptions.

dear Justin

I've been stuck in school - attempting to finish up OTD (organisational theory and design)triplets project with Mark and Justin, that's due on Valentines day!
Gah!
Weird deadline, and there's still so much to do, and have been breathing in too much computer lab air.

Justin couldnt make it for Friday's discussion, and I being bored, decided to exaggerate facts in my recap email to him - i sent him an updated version of our report as of friday, i've included a very serious looking cover letter, just for fun.

Sure hope i didnt create a big guilt pool for the dude with that prank email la.

Salsa isn't going too well with me.
Can't figure out if my expectations is too high, or is the class moving too slow for my liking.
Whatever it is, i had my first try at real Salsa dancing over at Union Square on Thursday, and i'd just leave it as - screwed basics.

In any case, being such a snob of a feminist as always, I'm having a tough time resisting the lead during the dance. Why should the guy determine my step of movements?

Gah!

loads of pictures!

I took a whole lot of picture, and i've finally found the time to load them all up.
If you haven't realised, my previous few entries were really pictureless.

Looking at my pictures, reminded me how much i needed a haircut. I am so bored with my current look, that i practically dread looking at myself in the mirror. Kate (my hairstylist), suggested either a really short funky/punkish cut, or to grit my teeth and to grow my hair alittle longer, before she plays with alittle perm to give me the desired volume that i've always wanted.

Boo took pictures of me, while i was digging my crab. We had dinner at No Signboard restarant last week. Chilli Crab is yummy! Just look at my happy expression! Woo!

We headed over to Siglap Coffee Club after my crab dinner, and just when we were looking for parking space, we saw Joshua! So he joined us for coffee and desserts, and we did some catching up.

Went blading at ECP after coffee and desserts sometime around 12 plus in the night.
The weather was really good, as it took me a long time to feel warm and sweaty. Haven't been blading for a long time, and i miss the breeze u get while blading!!

Boo decided that he's finally brave enough to venture into Mala hotpot for dinner recently! We went over to the usual hotpot place that i patronise along beach road, and there you go, his first attempt at the hot pot! I'm surprised that even on a weekday, business is good for them...seats were fully taken!

He decided to take a picture of the golden mushrooms that i took. The plate itself, was already my third helping, of similar portions. Yes, golden mushroom is my latest food craze, especially when u cook it in the spicy soup.. super yummy!!
Boo looked at the mushrooms and cringed at the sight of my third helping. Hahaha

We left the place stuffed, and walked abit. We met his colleagues for supper after they're done with work ( that's like about 2hours later). I'm amazed at how much i can eat! I ordered a banana and maple syrup toast from Tong shui cafe at Bugis! Definitely gonna look gluttony soon..
Been eating waaaayyy too much recently!

Yums!

sunday flitting

Erm, a late happy 21st birthday to Da, since it's like way past midnight!
You're on your express train to 30! *grinz*

Just look at me, i'm approaching my mid twenties soon... *pouts*

In anycase, Sunday passed too quickly for my liking, as i flitted around, doing various stuff the entire day.

Bouncing up early at 2 plus from bed, i declared tt i'm in a mood for flea market shopping today, so i made my way over to Zouk with Ben.

Saw lots of people there, like Jacq, Christina, Brenda, blah blah blah and even my own sister and friends. Didn't get to buy much stuff, as i was cashless, (promptly forgetting to get cash at the ATM, in the excitement of a flea market) i relied on all the cash that Ben has.. $40.
Lucky for me, i managed to shop within budget, where I found this causal white dress that cost me 10 bucks, and its regretable to say that i forgot all about the haggling bit, taking it at face value, and paid for it just like this. The transaction lasted for less than 3 mins. Bummer!

Next i chanced upon this pair of VNC shoes that i've eyed on last season, but didnt get a chance to buy it, coz they ran out of sizes. I gave the shoes a try, and viola! It fits perfectly! The girls mending the space gasp in delight and said that i'm like cinderella, as i was the first girl to fit into the shoe, and the conversation carried on from there. I made new friends from there.

Remembering my white dress encounter, i made a feeble attempt to haggle for the price, despite the asking price of $12, and asked if i could get it for $10. After pointing out to me that the shoe has never been worn, i decided to pay for the price and shut up...after all, VNC itself doesnt even give that kind of price for a brand new shoe at the store..

We left shortly, and headed over to Marina Square for Coffee, to do some catching uo, as i havent seen the dude (BEN) for like a million years...

After coffee, rushed over to meet mommy for dinner. Had La mien at Crystal Jade, then walked home. Mommy has this thing about walking to and fro to Holland, instead of taking a bus, since she hates the parking situation of the place.

Then headed over to Samar, at Arab Street with Zoe and her cousin+brother, and at a go at the Sheesha pipe. I doubt i'll try it again... somewhat didn't like the idea of inhaling flavoured stuff, and in our case - it was inhaling apple scent, into my system.
My pot of Ceylon tea was served in a cute mini glass, and Zoe's drink tasted horrid.
Will post my smoking pictures when i get them alright?

Muark!

myer briggs personality test

JS gave me a personality test site, derived from the myer briggs personality test, if i'm not wrong, and i gave it a go.
I'm apparently a ENFP personality. There are 2 analysis done, and here it goes :

Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceivingby Joe Butt
ENFPs are friendly folks. Most are really enjoyable people. Some of the most soft-hearted people are ENFPs.

ENFPs have what some call a "silly switch." They can be intellectual, serious, all business for a while, but whenever they get the chance, they flip that switch and become CAPTAIN WILDCHILD, the scourge of the swimming pool, ticklers par excellence.

Sometimes they may even appear intoxicated when the "switch" is flipped. One study has shown that ENFPs are significantly overrepresented in psychodrama. Most have a natural propensity for role-playing and acting.

ENFPs like to tell funny stories, especially about their friends. This penchant may be why many are attracted to journalism. I kid one of my ENFP friends that if I want the sixth fleet to know something, I'll just tell him. ENFPs are global learners.

Close enough is satisfactory to the ENFP, which may unnerve more precise thinking types, especially with such things as piano practice ("three quarter notes or four ... what's the difference?") Amazingly, some ENFPs are adept at exacting disciplines such as mathematics.

Friends are what life is about to ENFPs, more so even than the other NFs. They hold up their end of the relationship, sometimes being victimized by less caring individuals. ENFPs are energized by being around people. Some have real difficulty being alone , especially on a regular basis.

One ENFP colleague, a social worker, had such tremendous interpersonal skills that she put her interviewers at ease during her own job interview. She had the ability to make strangers feel like old friends. ENFPs sometimes can be blindsided by their secondary Feeling function. Hasty decisions based on deeply felt values may boil over with unpredictable results. More than one ENFP has abruptly quit a job in such a moment.

Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving by Marina Margaret Heiss
Generally both "idea"-people and "people"-people, who see everyone and everything as part of an often bizarre cosmic whole. They want to both help (at least, their own definition of "help") and be liked and admired by other people, on both an individual and a humanitarian level.
They are interested in new ideas on principle, but ultimately discard most of them for one reason or another.

Social/Personal Relationships: ENFPs have a great deal of zany charm, which can ingratiate them to the more stodgy types in spite of their unconventionality. They are outgoing, fun, and genuinely like people. As SOs/mates they are warm, affectionate (l ots of PDA), and disconcertingly spontaneous.

However, attention span in relationships can be short; ENFPs are easily intrigued and distracted by new friends and acquaintances, forgetting about the older ones for long stretches at a time. Less mature ENFPs may need to feel they are the center of attention all the time, to reassure them that everyone thinks they're a wonderful and fascinating person.

ENFPs often have strong, if unconvential, convictions on various issues related to their Cosmic View. They usually try to use their social skills and contacts to persuade people gently of the rightness of these views; his sometimes results in their negle cting their nearest and dearest while flitting around trying to save the world.

Work Environment: ENFPs are pleasant, easygoing, and usually fun to work with. They come up with great ideas, and are a major asset in brainstorming sessions. Followthrough tends to be a problem, however; they tend to get bored quickly, especially if a newer, more interesting project comes along. They also tend to be procrastinators, both about meeting hard deadlines and about performing any small, uninteresting tasks that they've been assigned. ENFPs are at their most useful when working in a group with a Joke or two to take up the slack.

ENFPs hate bureaucracy, both in principle and in practice; they will always make a point of launching one of their crusades against some aspect of it.
or click here to check out the actual site.

I think i agree to the first description of the ENPF more than the second.. but that's just me.
What do you think?
--

On a lighter note, i attended my first Salsa class today at Emotions Dance studio.
Da gave me her old pair of silver dancing heels, which made it the first official hand me down that i've ever gotten from her. (It's usually the other way round, you know.. ).
Since it no longer fit her feets snugly, and that i didnt have any appropriate heels to dance in, it was the best solution. Besides, Da has like a ton of other dance heels to flit around with.

It was fun, though the repetitive steps made it alittle boring, i soon caught myself stoning out alittle after doing the basic step for the 100th time..then promptly screwing up my steps after. haha

I guess lessons are fun to attend, if you've got friends to accompany you.
Lucky for me, i had Lailin, James and Audrey! =)

Til the next lesson then!

Greener pastures

It all started as a reminder and a good intention of clarifying thoughts.
Then it all came crashing down.

Ironic of it all, it took just one conversation to complicate matters, emphasising once again our differing wavelengths, and how different we are.
Doubt he'll ever be able to stand into my shoes, to look into the perspective that i'm looking, or probably as Da would call it - my cynic's point of view.
where it's as good as asking a blind to enjoy the world of colors, or rather telling the blind to enjoy the plasma tv aquired.

Ignorant? Insensitive, or just plain selfish?

I do not TRUST easily, as i've grown to become too cold and nonchalent to the world's deceptions and fancies. Believing that there is never one good intention that does not follow without any hidden agenda.

Think about it.

Am i really wrong to say all that? To be viewing everything through my cynical's perspective? Afterall, its what the world shaped me into today, for life has gotten me this far, with emotions and grief inflicted making a better teacher.

At the end of the day, crashing and burning isn't all too bad, if there's someone there at the end of the day

But i might not always be there to see it coming.

I dont give a damn, if is the grass may look greener on the other side,
But when the grass is no longer around, that's when i'll have no choice but to move on.

Sadly, that's life too.

Exploring alternatives

Spending my saturday in school, turned out to pleasantly enjoyable. For one, i realised that almost everyone else is stuck in school with saturday lessons, while i, am stuck in school discussing projects, punctuated with frequent gossips!

What's more, I received a surprise pressie from zoe, and it turned out to be a cute stripey boxer! It's cute, Thank you girlie!!

The both of us decided to venture into Chinatown to as i'll call it, "explore alternatives", as we are both extremely sick of shopping in the usual places.
Unknowingly, today happened to be the launch of Chinese new year festive decoration and fireworks et cetera.

I was admiring the huge artificial tree that was planted along the side of the road, but i would say that the pink blossoms were a shade too unnatural for my liking.

My gawd! It was freaking crowded, and at some point during the squeeze, this sweaty uncle brushed his sweaty hands on mine!!!!

Double Eeeeeeuuuw and yucks!!! Freaking disgusting and gross, and i'm sure most of you would have experienced the sweaty arm brushing some point in time. The ordeal left me spending cursing, swearing for the next hour of my life, as I took comfort in the fact that i wiped my arm off the sleeves of other passerbys who bumped into me.

Zoe couldnt stop laughing at the entire incident...and i shouldnt go into details, to save myself from disapproving comments that i might face. ( No, not the swearing bits)

Due to a slight change in the retail settings, shopping turned out to be pretty good, though i wouldnt say that the merchandise prices is any cheaper there.

Mid shopping, I had a view of the fireworks and it's oh-so-pretty, as usual. Love the ones that with the gold confetti sprinkle in the sky effect. Slight deafening experience for my ears though.

I wouldnt mind exploring more of Chinatown sometime again, when it is less crowded, say after the Chinese New Year?

contradictory changes

I've survived a hectic school week, being more than glad to take a break from the entire ordeal. School term has barely began, and i am already drained not physically, but emotionally. It is probably wiser to leave out details, rather than a blatant broad cast on the events that happened.

As I always believe that things happens for a reason, and that humans rarely learn anything in joyous occasions, for it is only through trials and hardships suffered that moulds them into a "better" person.

I pondered on the aftermath of the week, where my actions and reactions, together with words exchanged, concluded that this is probably my time to hone up my interpersonal relationship skills. Admittedly, i have never been good with handling people, as it is far too tiresome to bother with pleasantries.

I have never been concerned about clinching the title of Miss popularity, or bother about being well liked, as i solely believe that nicecities are somewhat found in the nature of a person, and personally i've met really nice friends whom i love to bits and all. But for me, i doubt "nice" would be a word to describe me. It would almost be as good as saying, Daphne is as nice as a tiger can be.

It is probably unfortunate to admit that most friends, and even my mom, would tell me in various occasions that i exude intimidating presence that seriously scares almost everyone that has met me, an ostentatious facade i would say, with the remaining that claimed the urge to slap my face is unbearable, but it would be dumb, to be smiling at everything like a damn lunatic can you? It simply cannot be done.

To exchange pleasantries, is like a total waste of time, why do we have to do make do with dumb, random short conversations with random strangers - i have absolutely no idea.

I very much like indulging myself with my erratic tantrums, eccentric fancies, and plain day dreaming. However, being a contradictory realist i know this are perks that i have to deprive myself of, in my "attempt" to improve human relations.

Just writing all that made me realise how much i have pushed myself to conform to society's standards of social acceptance, despite my own set contradictory standards.
Seeking a balance between the two would definitely be a challenge.

Gone were the days of designer's whims and fancies, creative mood swings and plain individualist concept. It is funny that i was considered the more "normal" beings in the entire design school, while in business school, i feel alienated, highly disturbed in the competitive environment where no one is your true friend.

It's that creepy to me.

oodles of stuff

I'm being very vain again... a picture of my hair after walking around with rollers for over 30 minutes and half a can of hairspray. Nothing fantastic, but just in the mood of cam whoring.
With my new street style inspired chain top from Seed. I like! *wink*

I snapped this the night before, with the intention of snapping a picture of us, with a lame inspiration of "when stripes meets stripes".. Alas! Our photo snapping moment was interrupted by an uncle who entered the lift... which explains for the distracted stripey poo.. But i think it's artsy in a cute manner.

This is a picture of the disgustingly lazy and dirty specie of the Lee household. Princess Tiger Lily the pudding/winter white hammie. (princess was soon eliminated from her name..sa she acts otherwise)

My gawd! Except for her lazy assed mannerism, substituting the running wheel as her royal hammock, she's nothing as her name suggests!
She's dirty, disgusting, badly groomed, waddles about with her short legs and is totally unpoised.... *sigh*

The picture shows her snacking on a bit of cabbage and sleeping after she's done with her snack.

Yet there's nothing i can do about it... Because she's mine...she's still cute despite her "shortcomings".
*yup absolutely thick of me to declare my little animal..but who cares? It's my blog.. *

We celebrated Boo's mommy's birthday today, and we had dinner over at Big ShangHai restaurant. It's located at the Copthorne water front...
The ambience is totally cool, with a songtress cooing to old school shanghai tang songs on stage, and furbished in olden shanghai tang theme. Classy! I like!

As they ordered the set meal fit for 10 pax, and there was only 8 adults, i ended up eating up extra portion of everything. Here goes the menu for the night (hope i didnt miss out anything) :

Cold platter X 1.5

Sharks fin soup X1.5 (soup base is good..)

Spinach with Abalone 1 ( i hate the spinach... yucks!)
Steam fish with fried stuff X1

Peking Duck X 1 piece

Lobster with a bed of vemicelli X 2 (yummy)

Chinese Ham with bao with crispy fu chok X 1 (Salty!)

xiao long bao X 2 long = 4 dumpling( on the verge of collaspsing)

Sushi birthday cake X 2 pieces (the "salmon sushi" and "prawn tempura")

Egg white souffle with banana and red bean paste X 2

Glutinous rice with filling X0 (will absolutley collasp, if i eat anymore)

memory isn't functioning too well recently..might have left out a dish or two, but
The highlight of the night, was the cake that Sheila ordered!

When the waitress first carried the platter of "sushi", Boo, Bernard and i nearly died.
We were so stuffed that just looking at the platter was already sending us in bouts of fits!

The sushi cake looks fantastic, though it was weird stuffing a "prawn" into your mouth, with your brain telling you logically that it is salty while the tongue screams sweet! They were pretty smart and creative in the cake decorating if you ask me, as i gawk and gaze in amazement of the likes of the decoration. With every sushi being a smaller cake of its own. That's alot of cake to eat, if you'd to ask me, 2kg of it!

The tempura prawn, is actually made of sponge cake coated with cream and desicated coconut, while the salmon roe sushi, was sponge cake, wrapped with seaweed, topped with clear orange agar agar, there's also raw salmon slices, tamago sushi and many more! Fantastic!

It's crazy, i tell you.
I went home stuffed and bloated with food. Now you know where all that weight gaining came from over the years!

Happy birthday Jan

I spent my entire friday night playing with Neopets.
I know it's lame, and it has been years since i last played it.
It kept me up the entire night, from playing games to score some neo$, to buying furniture for the neohome and adding stuff to my shop et cetra.
Gah. I have to admit that it is actually pretty fun.

We celebrated my little brother's 13th birthday yesterday, and i would say that celebrating your 13th birthday is some sort of a bench mark for both the brother and me.

My little brother is no longer a baby!
Having just started on secondary school, the dude is practically entering adolecence stage -where he might one day (pardon me for speaking like a mommy) become taller than me, drags a sweet, demure girlfriend home one fine day, which might be a nice change for Da and i - afterall, waking up to the sound of a bunch of guffawing blokes that very saturday afternoon isn't too enticing. It somewhat also reminded me that everyone is growing up, even "shierking boys"(as boys, they had really shrilly laughters, prompting me to call them that).
This transformation leaves them looking pimply and awkward. Yucks.

I escaped the afternoon mayhem, with a short afternoon tea with Zoe.
The last i saw of my dear friend, would be the night before school started - Tuesday, where we had bowls of desserts along liang seah street.
Meeting up at Royal Copenhagen was slightly less chaotic, as compared to home.
Chatting up on school matters is definitely less amusing, and extremely boring.
School.. *sighs*

After tea and cake, i headed over to the Goodwood hotel for dinner - to end the birthday celebration for the day.

ahhh... I miss the leisurely slacking and slow paced life of the holidays.... Boo!
Everything's moving too fast for my liking. *pouts*

Rainy day antics

Rainy Day Antics
Yikes, It's raining yet again.
Yes i'm skivving at home, instead of glitziing around having a whale of a time, because i dread stepping out of home, for the fear of being cold... Brr..

I do not know about you, but i dread wet and clammy toes, with the constant rain drops/pour that would either splotch on the outfit, or just simply leave me dripping wet, no matter how BIG your umbrella turns out to be, therefore i chose the loser's way of sitting around at home.

*pouts*

Not quite many saturdays ago...

Daphy wakes up to a gloomy rainy day, and trudges over to the kitchen, where momsy is...

"mommy, i think i'll really need to invest in some rain gear." declares Daphy

momsy goes "huh?"

Daphy : " you know, clothes and shoes that are waterproof, without you looking like a dork or psycho when you step out of the house, like rubber shoes, waterproof top and bottom, then i'll be a happy girl again!"

with that, Daphy stepped out of the kitchen and went back to her room, to stare at her dreary wardrobe. The wardrobe that has almost everything, but rain gear.

*Sigh*

with that,I went shopping, and i found the solution to my wet feet problem!
i bought myself a white rubber shoe, no not the phua chu kang/fish monger kind of rubber boots, but rather a rubber fashion shoe.( Come on, have alittle faith in me, i'm never a psychotic dresser!) It's a sharp pointed tip shoe for goodness sake!!

The shoe IS waterproof, which proofs to be excellent for all that rain hovering around, but i forgot about the clammy wet toes bit thought.

*
So here i am, sitting alone in front of my computer, waiting for dinner to come home (visualise a mommy and daddy carrying my food in a bag, and until i unwrap it, i'll have no idea what kind of grub will be filling up my sad and cold tummy).

Meanwhile, to entertain myself, i smeared sour cream on my face, in a feeble attempt to lighten freckles/age spot on my cheek (nevermind about looking dumb).

From the entire listed ingredients on the home made remedy website, Sour cream is the only ingredient available in the fridge, so sour cream it shall be!

It's entertaining to note that cucumbers, lemon, currants, sour milk and other funky herbs that are listed, CANNOT be found in the fridge, but that is just the way the fridge in my household works. We do not eat healthy.

Hahahaha, besides Sour cream isn't THAT bad. Plastering it on my face, is actually making me feel hungry.

Note to self: it's 8.07 and dinner is not home yet!
Peeps out of window, there is a massive jam that is about the distance of next 3 bustops. That's about as far as my eye could see!
My on going love hate relationship with my address - it's holding up my dinner. (mom should consider walking, while daddy jams away..)

why i hate attending huge social gatherings.

The holidays is definitely ending, and i'd dare say that this is the slackest holiday ever!! Been eating, sleeping and stoning around, in short- digesting in bed. Hahaha. I know i haven't been attending much society activities organised by my friends, and here's some reasons why i didnt.

Nope, it's got nothing to do with any personal vendetta with the organiser (as much as certain gossipers would love and thrive in vedetta fodder), but rather, it has always been within my character, to not attend HUGE gatherings.
After all, Quantity is never Quality.

If you as a friend, truly want to catch up, by all means drop me an email or sms, and ask me out for a coffee or a meal, afterall, i am indeed a friend of quality in return. Not a social whore.

I do not attend social gatherings to be SEEN.
Afterall, if there is like 20 people meeting up together, what's the likelihood of all 20 people catching up and updating each other on what exactly is happening in their life, as compared to 3 good friends chatting over coffee ?

So it's a waste of my time.

Yeah, people would say it's a show of defiance, that i've got a huge attitude adjustment to deal with, but really, i'm comfortable enough with my current posse of quality friends, to bother about what the others would say.

On the contary to what most would say about me being anti-social, i'd rather say that i am being selective. Besides, big numbers are definitely only good for people with major insecurites, where the need to be seen in public with alot of people, somewhat like mafia gangs, where numbers makes up for courage - that's when they thrive.

The same for insecure beings, which would also account for the lack of a fashion opinion and courage in singapore, i digress.

Besides, i am never an actor/actress. Among that 20something turnout, nothing beats that biggest turn off, of having to listen to posers telling me how cool their life is, how many admirers she's currently chalking, how many stalkers buying her char siew baos and et cetera. It's disgusting!

Girl, if you are cool, people would acknowledge it, and tell you about your coolness factor. Not the other way round, where you sing your own praises and expect others to smile meekly and agree - they are afterall, being really polite about it.

I cannot bring myself to lie unnecessarily, lest i suffer the wrath of god for lying extravagantly... lie when you need to, not as a habit, so i do not smile and pretend to agree to you superficially just to be polite. If i ever do, i should be struck for that.

I'll be appalled, or probably be trying very hard to refrain from laughing. By doing that, it definitely would give me major internal injuries from not laughing or just plainly soaking up all that disgusting conversation.

Do humour me, by staying as far away from me as possible.
I'm like developing major allergies, for your lack of modesty.

Lastly, i have a low tolerance threshold for stupid and uncool people. One uncool moron, is enough to kill my mood.
There you go. quantity social gatherings only. Please limit yourselves to 10 pax max.
in fact with 10 pax, it's already against the human congregation law. yah, the jokes not funny, i know.....

toadstool farm

I made friends with this bored looking white seal in Jospeph's car. It's uber cute and soft!
I spent the whole day with seal, travelling and sleeping with it, while boo and i made our way over to Malaysia, Johor Barhu in Joseph's car.
I bet the seal is a coy that Joseph uses, to please potential dating partners! hahahha.
Boo reckons that since the seal and i get along well, the potential girlfriends that he's dating would fall for seal seal as well!! Gahh... what nonsense!

I came home the next day, and was greeted by a hairifying sight!! My hair stood like it was static coated

This !

a whole farm of toadstool populated overnight in poor loppy's cage!!
Just look at his sad eyes!
Imagine the traumatic experience of watching toadstools mushrooming overnight! definitely gross!

I swear the bunny's never going to look at his shit the same way again!
I would, if a whole farm of toadstools starts sprouting overnight!
Ahh, i will never know, unless i poop onto a newspaper and wait over night right?
Thank god for toilet flush!

I dropped by Daiso, IMM on friday, and i went crazy on the $2 stuff again.
Bought myself hair rollers, hamster hiding place/food dish, pretty notepads, tempura sauce, jelly and i cant remember anymore.
Oh fake eye lash glue, hair clips rubber bands, a ring that i intended to use, as a toe ring, and i think that's about all from IMM,

then moved on to Holland Village Pet lovers to get the animals, their version of happy meal, meaning bunny's pellet, pix!e's pellet, hay and spent a hefty $65 on them!
*

So far, i've tried the rollers, and my hair curls really nicely in a gravity defying manner, and the jelly tasted decent, the tempura sauce is tasty, and the bunny isn't shedding anymore mushroom growing droppings. The clips work fine too, all except for that toe ring. It's too big! It looks weird after adjusting, and i guess it's a total waste of money. Bummer!
*

I brought my gravity defying hair out for dinner with the folks and dad's biz friends, and we ate alot of food. From stewed mutton/lamb ( i dont quite know the difference), to fish head steamboat (yucks), an entire cripsy chicken - which is delicious!, a platter of funky tri flavoured homemade meatballs -minced meat with something, fish paste with something and sotong with something. Sliced beef, Dragon's beard spring roll - yummy, and spicy dried chilli frog's leg.
Sumptous meal!

Finally married!

Congrats to Edwin and Shu Yu for finally being married!
Dinner at Conrad was good, and i had fun taking picture, and stuffing myself with dinner.
As our table had only 7 people, it meant that there was an extra 3 servings lurking around.
So i had 1.5 serving of the appetiser/cold dish, 2 servings of the sharks fin soup, and many more that i can't seemed to remember.

Having attended quite a number of wedding reception and dinners, this is one of the more memorable wedding settings.
From the ambience to the wedding gown, and wedding picture, Shu Yu somehow infused her sense of style into everything.

After all, she has always been a lady of great taste. From the designer gown that she wore, which maintained its elegance, but yet manages to stand out from the countless ones that i have seen in recent years, to the little piece of lace that was pinned on the side of her coiffure, to the wedding album where everything was taken black and white.

I fancy the contrast, the irony of the pictures. Edwin and Shu Yu wearing their gowns, praying in the temple. It's like a total fusion of East meet West, about our ancestors and cultures, making us into who we are today, and how they made Rex their shi tzu the ring bearer in the pictures!

Ah, i guess i'm going too deep into this artistic shot of the entire wedding album, but you get what i mean, definitely one of the better wedding that i will remember by.

The other wedding that left an impact in my memory, would be the one that mom and dad brought Da and i to. I was probably only 5 or 6 years old back then, and the wedding party was held at the now defunct Alkaff Mansion. After the church service, the wedding entourage proceeded to Alkaff Mansion for lunch.

From the garden setting, to the rose scent potporri that each of us get to bring home, the ambience reminded me of english weddings that we often read about in novels. Even the toilet had potporri, and the flowers in the garden were pretty. i guess that it must have cost the newly wedded a bomb.

i need a nude bra!

Having just finished attending Elaine's wedding on the 23rd, i'm now preparing to attend Edwin and Shu yu's wedding at the Conrad on Boxing Day!
Flipping through the wardrobe, i dont seem to have anything to wear!
This ensemble looks pretty enticing, though i'll probably need to worry about my front!

To prevent any wardrobe malfunctions, I'll probably need to get some nipple tapes, or get a nude bra! argh!
Took the picture randomly, so i photoshopped it to hide up all the mess in the room. Cute huh?

Elaine's wedding

We attended a cousin's wedding at the Hyatt. The ambience was superb . Looking at the rose petals spewed all over the table, you kinda get the idea. It was purely roses, roses and more roses. Simple, but pretty.

No doubt, we're very vain people. Since we're all dressed up for the night, it's a crime not to take loads of pictures! Left to right: Da, Michelle, Doreen, and i.

Too bad daddy's unable to make it for the wedding affair! It's been a long time since i last took a picture with him. Looking at the shot that i took with mommy, it's scary to see the semblance of sorts. Yet the funny thing is, i'm supposed to take after daddy, not mommy. Ha!

Time really flies! Cousins after cousins are getting married, and oh gosh! my little brother is turning 13 really soon! It's all happening in a blink!
"the 2 youngest of our lot will be stepping to secondary school really soon!" - that's what i've been saying to my other cousins the entire night!
We are really getting old! *sighs*

We ended up our glam night, horsing around with unglam pictures!
Making stupid poses seemed to be addictive enough.

That's about all the pictures that we've compiled over at our end.
The remaining pictures lies in that very professional and heavy camera that my uncle/cousin owns. Til i lay my hands on them, you'll just have to feast on these then. ciao!

lifts with mirror

Ever wonder what do people really do when they step into the lift, especially lifts with mirror?

Here's our answers to that!

guiness draught

A group shot of us on the first day.. and yes, the uniform looks tacky..

Well, working for Guiness is like doing a cheesy little magic show. We'll "surge" the draught, and show the newly developed foam head to the audience, and if they aren't very toxicated, most of them be really amused, and end up saying "hey, could you do that again?", or just utter a "wow!"

Haha, job perks/entertainment.

But after a litttle while, it gets kind of boring repeating the process over and over again. =)

party after

Well i did it. I actually went for the mango sale, and emerged not only unscathed, but empty handed as well!! Hoo!

So like what i told myself i'd do, i bought myself that spanky $60 dress that i'll been eyeing on!
Yup i tried it on, and i like it. Coz for one, it's not a baby doll dress, and secondly, the colors and prints aren't disgusting for once. It definitely made me a happy girl!
Next on the list, would be the cardigan!!

I dropped by council's gathering at The changing appetite, after i was done shopping. I didnt really want to go, but Zoe made me. Ah well, stopping by made me realise how much i was done with the student council, ignoring the people that are such total turn offs, and kinda missing the innocent bunch of people, that no matter what you do, only sees the best side of you, and never bother judging or do any finger pointing.

Unlike some gender crisis bitch, like how i'd like to say. Who totally ignored my presence, plays politics, despite how she'll like to deny, and accuse others of the politics playing deed.

Urgh, thinking about it is such turn off. But like what i'd like to say always, Karma has a way round. From the way i see it, people who bullies or hurt me in one way or another - all that hurting will get back to them one way or another. (i've seen it happen many a times, especially recent years, and when karma gets back to them, i feel kinda sad for them... i'm being sacarstic...but so what?!)

So like what "earl" would say, do good, and good things happens to you. Do bad, and just wait for Karma to unfold. Haha.
What the heck is Earl? It's a sitcom, and a real funny one that i enjoy watching. Too bad it's only season one that i've caught. Season three or four is out already.

Anyway, back to the council topic, i'm actually GLAD that i'm responsibility free now, and all i do with most of my free time, would either be working, spending time with the boo, slack at home, or chill out with friends.

In fact, going out seemed to be a chore... all that face painting, dressing up, and going out preparations seemed to be too much a hassle! I did some room reorganising, packed up my millions of accessories, neatened up my crazy messy wardrobe, threw out some weird smelling make up gunk that probably expired eons ago, and i'm back to doing what i'm most happy at - Handicrafts.

Yup, beading, accessories making, random modification done to my old garments, and gift wrapping, and paper crafts is my absolute favourite!

It isn't funny, but what most people dont realise is that, i'm pretty much a homely person, who's really happy with the simplicities of life .. it's just that my slightly wild exterior creates an impression otherwise.
Haha! i got you fooled, didnt i?

Being busy..

I've been busy entertaining myself with silly stuff...

> 1. i've done up the christmas tree again.
when we bought the tree a few years back, i insisted on having purely gold and nothing else for the tree.
So we go, gold ball decors, gold lights, gold star and so on..

Now years later, pure gold doesnt seem to appeal to my yearly fancies anymore. So i've added... red into the picture, to spruce up the monotonous color scheme. =)

There's the red hearts, and the red butterflies, and red roses..

oh and there's also my favourite vintage angel! This vintage angel has been around ever since i could remember having a christmas tree at home, and it used to be my most favourite onarment for the old tree. Naturally the prettiest ornament gets to sit right on the top of the tree. Unfortunately, despite having a fondness for my pretty vintage ornament, it longer holds the centerstage of the tree, coz of it's age and size. The old tree used to be my height when i was 5. The new tree is standing at the a height that's taller than me! Well you get the picture, lest i bore you with boring debates and opinions about proportion..

>2. Cheapskate online spree!
Da and i have been oogling at cheap buys online, and so we're spree-ing alittle with yahoo taiwan site, the basic stuff starts at a price range of 100yuan onwards. i've managed to get 6items at 100yuan each. It works out to be 30SGD for everything!

Bought a few items in yahoo.sg as well, like a cheap brand new dress that's going for $5.50, a graffitti camisole at $15, as well as a korean drama show - original one at $20plus . I'm not telling what show it is, coz i intend to be selfish. When it comes to lending people my movie VCD/DVD, they never manage to come back, so too bad.

>3. Went to Daiso with Zoe and i bought a couple of stuff at 2 bucks each. Fake eye lash and christmas decorations are some of it.

Have been shopping around quite abit at Bugis, and nothing seems to catch my eye much. All the dresses either look like musty floral curtains from grandma's storeroom, or bits from animal's skin. Not that i hate animal prints or floral designs, but with every shop carrying multiple pieces of prints and dresses of the same design, it's certainly too much for me to bear.
The dresses are horrid, and i feel pregnanted wearing them, and worst of all, these yucky stuff are going at absurb prices! Argh, so frustrating!

Frustrated enough, i bought myself a mini sewing machine, only to have the sewing machine breakdown after 1 hour's worth of sewing. Yes, with the current collection hanging around the racks of retail stores, it's bad enough for me want to sew my own pieces.

i'll at least have a say in the cut, material and color of what i'll be wearing!
But like what i mentioned, the sewing machine broke down within an hour, so i completed nothing, and i refunded the item for money. I like industrial machines better! Big and tough, i so miss my TP days!

STOP! Enough of my cheapo shopping!
Now back to reality..
- i'm still in love with this moshi moshi ring that i laid my eyes on before exams. Only reason why i am not buying it, is because i've got too many rings, and i only fancy wearing rings on certain specific fingers, so i'm trying not to waste money!!

- psychedelic dress, it's really colorful and bright, and it cost like, $60 or $70. I'm contemplating buying it soon, especially if i emerge empty handed from the soon to apprach mango sale.
I've refrained myself from trying on the dress, or i'll lose all dignity of self control. Haha.

- The Lver cardigan that i've set my eyes on, i love asymetric stuff, and it's interesting. Since it's christmas season, i'm hanging around, waiting to see if there would be any christmas promotion going on.

What makes things worst would be the fact that my pay from Lucido.l is sitting happily in the bank! Nothing is stopping me from buying up everything that i fancy, except for the self restraint that i'm practising. Ah, i guess we will just have to wait and see how long, before i falter.

pikipimp!

The word goes.. apparently, Lance (da's friend), told Da about the site, and Da showed me the site, and ta da!

I added silly stuff onto the picture!
The site entertained me for hours! I've always wanted to add a pair of reindeer antler on little pix!e, but i highly suspect that she'll end up being cross with me...so i've finally found the perfect solution! ho ho ho. She's cute ya?

hair wax museum + hair styling experiment

The cute thing about working for a hair product company is that, you get loads of freebies, to test and experiement. And judging from my little pile of growing collection.. i think i'm getting a rather good start, if i ever intend to start a "hair wax museum". But i do like them... it's definitely fun experimenting with your hair, especially when it turns out cute and nice.

See I told you i did style my hair! I went to curl my hair outwards, with my crimping iron - and i'm totally thrilled by the movement of my hair, definitely an interesting result for beginners! I'm actually thinking of investing in curling irons... only that i know i'll probably end up being too lazy to style my hair every morning, when school starts!

Now that i've got all this products hanging around my room, i'm trying to make a conscience effort to style my hair before going out.

Oh well, til the next hair experiement then. =)

Various hairstyles

Well the entire fun thing that i got out from working for Lucido.l the past 7 days, was to enjoy the various hairstyling done by Reds Salon Bugis for seven whole days!
Some of the hairstyles were pretty easy to catch, some didn't quite agree with me, but still definitely an experience for me, and i made a few friends that i'll bother to keep in touch, which - in my case, is usually a rare sight.

Some entertaining things that happened to us...

Funny fact #1
People kept commenting that i look japanese (which i assume is due to the fact that Lucido.l IS a Japanese brand), and they thought that Lucido.l flew me in from japan, just for the road show.

Funny fact #2
People also kept thinking that zoe was the japanese model in the dolly hair look, which we both thought was hilarious, coz if Zoe is indeed the model, it would cost the company quite abit of money to fly her in just to do the roadshow.

Funny fact #3
Random customer asked Zoe if the glossy spray could be used for their dog's hair. We were like kinda dumbfounded at the thought of using hair products on dogs! Poor thing.

ahhh i think that's about all the funny facts that i could recall for now.

cheers!
