The white jacket

After several days of sloth like adventure, i woke up one fine late afternoon, and decided to make myself useful - by unpacking stuff from my Bali trip. Hahaha yes... i am grossing people out i know.

Eventually, making myself useful led to the chore of ironing up my stacking pile of laundry that is threatening to reach the ceiling...
and while ironing, i found my.. White Jacket!

While it is generally a habit for me to ponder about a million and one things, when idling. By saying idling, it is by no means sitting down to stare into empty space.. rather it is how the brain actually floats off and think about anything it wants to, while the hands and eyes are busy. Now that is Idling!

Ironing this particular white jacket, definitely brought back memories back, and got me thinking..
It cost around $79 or $89 when it was out on the retail shelves, and it is probably one of the more expensive clothings that mommy was willing to part money with.

Being relieved that my grades did actually get me to the polytechnic, i figured out that the buying of that white jacket was more symbolic, rather than "functional" to her.
Yes she spoils me i must admit, but it is never within her character to splurge on clothings that are priced sky high because, coming from where the family trade is, we often get clothings at no cost at all- after all, we are in the manufacturing business of the "Fashion" industry, we know how much it really cost, to manufacture a piece of clothing, and how far the prices actually soar when they hit retail stores.

It probably did not occur to me at that time, as i was happy as a bird; thrilled actually, to think no further than how pretty my white jacket was and all. However, thinking back, a wiser self now - the jacket was meant to be an encouragement to study hard and bring home good grades, rather than the atrocious ones back in secondary school, but what she does not quite know; that the jacket also brought me my confidence. The confidence that i never quite knew i had as a kid, and the type of confidence that everyone sees in me now.

She did buy me quite a spanking cool wardrobe in preparation of school- my guess was that she was mostly glad that i survived my GCE "O" Levels, and kinda excited that her baby's growing up, and "going to school". After all, going to Polytechnic was like primary one all over again.

Yes admittedly, i am spoilt by my mom in her own way..

Looking at the jacket now, it is probably one of my most prized clothing of that era. It got me through my polytechnic orientation in general, and design school orientation a month later(which in my opinion was a huge step socially, because the last time i had to make friends in such a situation, was when i first stepped into primary school, as secondary school consisted of the same set of friends from primary school, i did not have to worry much about friends).

Though it probably sounded bimbotic to declare that when you look good, you feel good, and probably even dumber to declare that the white jacket was a hit with all the new friends that i have made during the orientation camp. I like the look of envy that i see in their eyes.

Considering the fact that she no longer pays for my shopping, it is indeed one precious jacket that hold sentimental value to me, to remind me how much my mommy loves me, and the journey that jacket embarked on with me - i always have it on me, probably because it was against the polytechnic school rule to be wearing tube or spaghetti tops, and the irony of all would be my penchance for tube tops.. Hahahahha

Yes i dress "saucy" as my lecturer likes to put it.

Ahhh those were the days.

more picture updates

More picture updates from my Bali trip!
I guess i took too much pictures during the trip, as it is becoming quite a chore to compile and to come up with layouts to "prettify" them..all for the eye to feast (not that i have done a good job with the layouts..)

But if you ask me, i would say that the prettiest picture that i have taken in the entire trip would be the artistic ones that Boo took for me, with the picturesque sunset in background, done just the way i asked for... just my blacked out silhouette and the pretty sun behind me. Ha!!! (in case you're wondering which picture i am referring about, it would be the second picture in my previous entry.)

In case you didn't know, you can actually click on the pictures, to view an enlarged version of it.

Alrighty.. Enjoy!

Back from Barley land!

I'm back! In fact, i have been back and bumming around for a few days already.
In my words, i have been busy being "jetlagged", despite the lack of time difference between Bali and Singapore. Hurhurhur.
Life is good there, and i am sorry to be back in Singapore.

As for my life over in Bali, all i did was to shop alittle, surf alittle, boogie board alittle, and came home with a slight tummy rash, and a tan! Whooo Hoo!!

Mommy says that i look like a scrawny little girl with twigs for arms, and everyone (except for Roy) thinks that Boo and i are kinda tanned and dark.

Being known for their surf culture there, Shopping in Bali was all about RipCurl, Billabong, Quicksilver, and other smaller brands like Insight, Volcom, Mooks and etc.
Since i am not much of a surfer chick, shopping was alittle boring for me. However, the interior decoration of the surfshops are really innovative and eye catching!

There was this new shop that had the firemen pole, and we are all invited to slide down from the second level, to the first level. I would have given sliding a try, if it was not for the fact that i was wearing a skimpy short shorts - which could have given me an inner thigh abrasion. *sulks*

Another shop hung real aeroplane in their store, while others have pretty fitting rooms, jeeps to display merchandise on, and there was a Surfer Girl store that employed live local models to pose and be pretend mannequins! How exciting!

The variety of bikinis, shorts, tees, bags, flip flops that these stores carry, can drive everyone crazy! Extremely spoilt for choice, if it wasn't for the fancy price tags that accompanied the pretty merchandise, i would have bought the entire place down just for the sake of spending and buying, though conversion proved to be alittle brain damaging for me, as i practised my rusted mathetical skill of division.

It is exasperating to be counting the zeros in the currency, taking me quite a while to calculate the prices, when in the midst of bargaining. Arrrghh, all that mental sums drove me crazy!

After awhile, i decided that it would be faster to ask Winston or Boo how much 200 000 rupiah is in SGD, rather than to calculate mentally - because i am lazy. Hur hur hur.

The people were friendly, and the standard of living is definitely waayyy more affordable, as compared to Phuket, and the caucasian crowd there is definitely younger, fitter and cuter! (Phuket seemed like a retirement land for the old and wrinkled - interested only in sunbathing their crumply raisin like skin!)

Oh glory to the eye feast i had! And i am also pretty sure that Boo had a good time oogling at some Japanese chicks and other topless eyecandies that were sunbathing at the beach! I learnt to surf and boogie board alittle, where i spent most of my time
tumbling around somewhere in the sea like a rag cloth tossed in the washing machine, or wading and resisting against the strong water currents. Maneuvering the surfboard around proved to be problematic, and most of the time, i get thwacked by the surfboard when a strong wave curls by.

Yup, i left Bali with brusies on the legs, head and ear, but i like surfing still! (despite the fact that my moment of glory only lasted for like 3 seconds, I am already telling Boo that i wanna go back to Bali in July! (yes he's sweated and promptly fainted when i told him!)

In the night, we played a fair bit of the game - Domino, in paper cardboard form with Winston and Gigi, and switched to playing memory games with our Domino pack when we got bored.

Playing memory game on 2 sets of Dominoes is definitely a brain damaging experience as we try to match and remember the positions of over 50 cards!

The remaining time was spent floating in the pool, and sitting in the room requesting for movies to be played on the room telly, to laze about when digesting our breakfast/lunch/dinner.

I have taken the liberty to load some of our pictures in FACEBOOK. *smiles*
For those who does not have a facebook account, it is about time to sign up for one, because it is fun! (and do add me when your facebook account is up, ya?).

So if you would like to view my Bali pictures, click here.
If not then you would just have to make do with my little compiled ones that i have posted in here.

I had lots of fun over the past 1 week, and i wished that i shopped alittle more! Boo!

See ya soon!

Yep! Finally my long awaited Holiday!
It's Bali time!! And i sure hope that everything will be smooth and fine.
No robberies, no disasters, no injuries, or any other bad stuff I hope!
I kept telling myself that i will be absolutely careful this time, and just for precautions, i made sure that my luggage bag is the yuckiest hand carry bag that is available in the house!

I promise that i will take lots of pictures, and will remember to upload the pictures up onto my blog, unlike my forgotten phuket pictures! Oopsie!

Just like what everyone else is doing, I have taken to my recently sprouted pair of green ears! Cute aren't they? Hahahha!
I decided that i wanted a pair of green ears pretty badly on Saturday night, and boo bought them for me while i was slaving my life away at Zouk on Sunday. *beaming smile*

We caught the korean movie 200 pound beauty, on Saturday night, and the girl is soooooo pretty! For that moment, i wished that i was as pretty as her! But end of the show, it was kind of disappointing to look at my own reflection in the mirror! Boo!

In preparation for Zouk's Flea market, Da and i packed lots of pre-loved clothes, and ended up doing lots of clothes swap between ourselves and Mich, before business started.

Our attempt at Zouk's Flea market last sunday was rather disastrous!
We were allocated a horrible lot, and had fixture problems and all.
But things turned out pretty acceptable towards the end.
Luckily Boo saved the day by getting us clothes rack and hangers! Muark! He's such a sweetie at times...

At the end of the day, I made a measely $52, after covering my share of rental, and spent $20 on a rocking horse necklace that i bought from Cheryl and Charmaine's store.
I also received a necklace ( i was eyeing at it the entire day) from my next store neighbours when they were packing up to leave! So sweet of them! They rawk! *grinz*

Zoe dropped by in the late evening, and we took a few pictures! Too bad non of her stuff went off the shelf, i'm sure she'll have wanted to clear some of her clothings too. Bah!

I left Zouk exhausted, and i promptly fell asleep on my journey back home, after my satisfying dinner at this japanese restaurant called Kado-man. The ramen was pretty good, accompanied by clear and unique tasting soup base.

We (Da, Mich, and i) are all looking forward to the Lime Flea market when i am back from my holiday, and hopefully business would be better than what i have earned from Zouk!

mr Squirrel.

remember those prancing squirrels at the pool that i mentioned days ago?
I've finally loaded the pictures up from my phone to the computer.

You would not even imagine, but i infrared them to the computer!
Ha!

cute squirrel?

Solitary emptiness.

Empty. Solitary.
That pretty much sums up everything and how i feel for life.
It is as if i have lost a cause, lost my zest for life.
I haven't been feeling particularly sociable of recent days.
Neither am i feeling my happiest for sure.

Being sick was a good excuse to stay off social events, to bum around at home.
I don't particularly feel like talking much, and neither do i have the mood or interest to talk about anything intrinsic, least of all-gossip. Small talks bores the shit off me.

I take no interest in any one's life, not even those that i hold dear to.
It is as if I'm in search of a new cause in life, something to look forward to.
Every one's idea of fun, is definitely NOT what i have in mind.

Nope, not shopping, not clubbing, neither is having tea or leisurely luxuries of bumming. I've had a hand in all that, and it did not make me happy for too long.

I would not even care less, if i wore the same outfit twice in consecutive days. Dressing up, is in fact a chore to me. In fact, dressing up and looking good is no big deal to me.

What have i transformed into?

I guess it will take me time to prioritise my life, to find out exactly what i want.
To sort out my friends, my future, in short - my life.

This is probably a little too morbid, and too deep for comprehension, or elaboration.
Guess we'll leave this as it.

System down.

I've been out and down sick for the past few days, with the usual i am going to fall sick symptoms followed by the ultimate dreaded combination of cough, flu and fever!
Gah! It's horrible i tell you!

I was totally flat out on Sunday, sleeping the entire day away until dinner time.
Where we went out for mothers day dinner at Sushi Tei. Everyone, but daddy, coz he's in HK/China (but he called!) :D. If not, he'll be the one footing the bill! Hahaha!
Dinner there left me poorer by close to 90 bucks until Da decides to be charitable and pay up her half soon. In anycase it was a buy one get one free deal when it comes to treating mommy~ ie, pay for the brother with his newly developed hugeass appetite. Teenagers! Tsk, tsk! Haha!

Sunday was also the 39th month anniversary between Boo and i, so Boo came to pick me up later at night, and we spent time watching the fifth element on DVD, since i was too sick to rollerblade. I love the way "diva" sings!

However, Monday proved to be the shittiest day for me, because i swear the fever shot up to 50 degrees or something! Ever the drama queen i am, i am definitely kidding about my temperature, because i was too sick to even bother about silly stuff like taking my temperature just to whine and gain sympathy.

Boo came over for a short swim before work, and while i the sick one went down to "sunbathe" in the shade with my bikini. Was feeling alright and happy sitting around in the shade, running around the pool for some "toe dipping".
I was thrilled to spot 4 squirrels hopping around the perimeters of the pool, crawling up the pool umbrellas, deck chairs and table, playing and chasing each other. They're so cute, and definitely too fast to snap a proper picture of them!

Shit started happening later when my nap got disrupted by the "conflict in my surrounding climate".
There i am feeling warm like a mug of hot cocoa, with icy hands and shivering when the fan is barely blowing at me. How to sleep?!

So i tried sleeping about everywhere else in the house.

Falling asleep with my head on my knees (still on my chair) because it felt cooler than the bed. Then dozing off while pee-ing in the toilet, then shifting back to the bed, the living room sofa. Yeah, you get the idea about the sleep rotation theory.
*
Being one who absolutely believes in the self healing process, i never like to take medicine unless forced to, because pill swallowing makes me sick. However, as of monday until now, i have taken to consuming Panadol the way a drug addict does as often as he could.

Skipping Panadol just once meant hell to me, coz trust me, i have already tried weaning myself off medication upon feeling better yesterday. The aftermath was horrible!

Horrid enough to ensure that i'll eat up my 2 pills every 6-8 hours.
I bet Boo will be amazed enough to tell you how miraculous it is, to see Daphne eating Panadol on her own accord.

This is by far the largest quantity of Panadol i have taken in total in my entire life, not counting the days i had to rely on Panadol as painkillers in the hospital when i had my Scoliosis operation.
*
Things that i have missed out on so far..
I was supposed to meet up with Zoe and Daniel for a secret outing to a secret place after they are done with watching spidey 3. But alas, stupid fever made me missed it.

Ben later called to ask if i wanted to meet for Dinner/dessert, and he said that i sounded bad, and decided that we shall meet another day.

Lydia is back, so i called her, and she asked what is wrong with me, because i sounded like a tranny.

I missed Eelyn's communicasia casting on both days because i was too sick to get my "dead" body out of whichever sleeping position i am in = loss of income! Boo!

Trina asked me on sunday, if i could help her with her Erdinger Roadshow on Monday, but again, i'm too sick to open my mouth to whine, so much less to even think about working? = loss of income. *sulks*

On both days when i call mommy up to get me dinner, i sounded bad enough to get nags from her, but of which, i drifted in and out of sleep in the process.
Of which, dinner, instant noodle, 3 in 1 cereal mix, they are all tasteless to me. Even drinking plain water makes me nauseous! Life absolutely sucks for now! What a way to start my holidays!

Till my tastebuds recover, i shall refrain from feasting on expensive food.

Walkie Bits

Yes boo, we've both decided that this is an expensive dumb toy to have, but here's the picture of that cutesy pink walkie turtle that i told u about!
hahahhah!

Upon further research, the turtle is able to walk to the rythem depicted by the tapping of the shell. Turtle shell decoration could be done with the use of nail polish, and other matier, or with the shell decoration pack.

In short, it is a cute turtle robot! Ho ho ho!
http://www.brownpaperpackage.com/newsletter/walkiebits_press.pdf (my click here function isn't working! *angry*) to read up more about it.

And no, i do not intend to get myself a new friend. It'll just end up obsolete, just like my nodding fairy.

According to Boo, he says that the walking turtle comes in a soft toy version that walks too.
Gah.... toys! Why weren't they this smart when i was younger?

Shoo! exams!

Yay! Now that i am finally done with exams for this semester, all i have left to do, if to hop around and have fun, sleep in, and worry about my results.
Of course, there's also my Bali trip to anticipate, though the boo is rather worried that i would not be able to adapt to the conditions there. oops.

Anyways, just a quick run through of my days...

Wednesday was happy day for me!
The minute i left the exam hall, i was hyper! I was talking animatedly, sms-ing animatedly, and acting randomly happy.
Took me a really long while to settle down for my short nap.

I woke up to eat my dinner, talked animatedly to mommy, then dress up for ZOUK!
It has been a long while, since i last dressed up for anything fun! So i made sure i took loads of pictures to commemorate my happy day!

Zouk-ing was as usual, everyone reacted to my new permed hairdo, with the usual teasing, but i'll live with it. My usual plot of space was taken up, due to circumstances, so i headed over to join Jo, Jasmin and Nicole over at the speakers for the first time! Woah! It was definitely a deafening experience! haha!

Met up with many old friends that night. =D

Thursday
Woke up for job casting in the afternoon at BatesAsia, then rushed over to BRIX for a job assignment in the evening.

Hah, you must be thinking, "woah, just a day after your exams, and i am already working?!"
Yes, the only time i am not lazy, is when there's good money involved.
I can be hardworking, when i want to. *smirks*
*
Boo came to pick me up after work, and i went blading, while he jogged.

Upon reaching home, i made some crazy decision, and decided to stay awake!
Wanting to avoid the crazy "hello kitty" queues that is synonomously associated with the Immigrations Checkpoint Authority people (ICA), I made sure that i set foot into the building early to settle my passport and NRIC matters.

True enough, i made it there at 8.30-8.45 am! *beams!*
Having long forgotten the nightmares associated with public transport and peak hours, i was quickly reminded of how gross and sad life can be, when one is commuting around!

The process of waiting for my uber slow moving bus, and getting to my nearest train station (which is only 3 bus stops away) took me 30 minutes in total.
Yet the ultimate experience would be to fit and squish myself into the remaining 10 by 10 cm space in the crowded train, if i wanted to get to Lavender fast!

Yes, so i exhaled deeply, and made myself as small and flat as i could , and eased myself into my little plot of space, just before the damn doors closed.
So much for pride and composture.
*
True enough, i was the 25th person in queue, and the 2nd dumb ass of the morinng that had to go through the interview about why i lost my NRIC!

The dumbest thing that happened to me that morinng, would be the taking of my passport pictures!
A reminder to all : If you would really like to have pretty passport picture of yourself to be taken, do else where but ICA. The woman there on the 3rd or 4th level was definitely a pain in the ass.

I was promptly told that my fringe would have to go! Apparently there's some dumb regulations about how your eyebrows cannot be partially covered by your hair!
It was a "what the hell moment" for me, and i tried my best to keep my fringe up.
I Looked geeky for sure.

1) The dumb woman made me pose, then told me to adjust my fringe, and told me to adjust my chair forward.

2) I reposed, had to fix up my fringe, smiled again, and was told to shift my head to the left.

3) Once again, i posed, was reminded of my fringe covering my brows, and was told to tilt my head to the left.

4) posed. got reminded about flopping fringe, and was asked to raise my chin.

My patience was wearing thin, and I was ready to hammer the damn woman! Self help machines are definitely great!
It would at least give me the privacy and respect that i would have like to get!

I made sure i rewarded myself with a good breakfast after enduring the entire passport and NRIC application process, before going to bed.
So it was crystal jade congee and the shrimp rice rolls for me!
*
Woke up in the evening, to work at BRIX again. I was zoned out like a zombie, and felt shitty from the lack of sleep, and suddenly dolling up my face didnt seem as fun as it was to me on wednesday.

I trudged my way to work, and boo came to pick me up after work again!
I had a sumptous supper/dinner!
ice cream from that gelato place outside Lido, then minced meat noodle, with popiahs and stingray at Newton! Freaking hungry and i am sick again!

Well that was thursday and Friday for you!

Saturday
Rest day for me! I slept til 3pm, and went shopping with Boo!
Headed over to Queensway to get himself new spectacle frames and colored lens (so vain), then moved over to town for dinner at Fish and Co.
I enjoy slacking, if only i was not busy coughing my lungs out. Gah!
I think slight fever is creeping up on me soon =(

Oh well, Boo and i were browsing at mobile phones at the hello! shop, and followed by the Gramophone shop at Takashimaya earlier, when it dawned upon me that the word to explain my lack of keeness to replace all the gadgets that i have lost is reluctance.

Scrutinizing at the new ipod nanos displayed there, there is visible differences between the new Nano, and the old one.
I have to live with the fact that my new nano (if i ever get it again), would never be the same as the old one, despite the fact that new gadgets are always better than the old.

I am indignant at the fact that i have to spend double to money, to get back what i have lost.
What's worst, it does not feel the same anymore. The sentiments attached to my gadgets cannot be comprehended, but i certainly do take good care of my belongings in my own little manner.

It is probably dumb, because gadgets, unlike living things do not have feelings.
But i do. *pouts*
Sunday
It's mother's day!
I have plans in mind for mommy, but executing them would highly depend on my ability to get up early. We'll see, i guess!

Til then! Good night!

phone and birthdays!

I'm officially sick. Down with the flu Again...
I feel overdosed with 2 redoxon vitamin C, 1 sorethroat tablet, 1 clarinase and 1 minty losenges. *feels pukish* Just imagine all the water that i had to drink!
I can so feel the water sloshing about in my tummy in sequence with my movements, while the pills float along like a little toyboats in a bathtub!

In anycase, it was boo's birthday on the 3 of May! But good things are best celebrated in multiple days, so i've decided that it shall be a week's worth of birthday celebration for boo! =)

Happy birthday boo! *big grin*
You're officially 27 now! Is that considered as late twenties or what?!
Hee hee hee

Thursday
Boo's department was giving out tickets to spidey 3 for free! So we went along and caught the show, along with free drink and popcorns!

We rushed home after the movie to cut his birthday cake with his family
Chocolate fudge cake! It did not help with the sore throat that i have developed.

I started on my first Yoga crusade after the cake!
I am now extremely aware that i have the flexibility of a hundred year old woman.
Boo's mom is more flexible than me, can you believe that?!

Friday
Had the birthday dinner with boo's family. We headed over to Vivocity for Japanese ala carte buffet at Aji by Hanabi.

The food is pretty good, and the sashimi is really fresh. I'm never been much of a sashimi fan, but at least i ate a few slices of fish and what nots today.
Only bad thing about the meal, would be the lack of a dessert. *pouts*

But like what Bernard says, the buffet was originally meant as an accompaniment snack for sake drinks, but since we Singaporeans aren't too cultured in the sake drinking habit, it became a meal instead of a snack.
-
I got my Automated teller machine (ATM) card generated at the bank on Wednesday.
You have no idea how happy i felt, getting back a bit of what i've lost.

I'm currently using my old Project shop pink leather wallet, and except for my police report and alittle bit of cash, it is empty.

Getting my card back, meant that a slot in the wallet has been occupied.
I'm awaiting for the Debit master card and its friends to be mailed/couriered to me. It will apparently take 5 working days for DBS/POSB to mail to me - *sigh* so much for efficiency. I'll have been a dead dried corpse, if i didnt make the trip down to the bank.

And boo boo! i never quite saw the courier man coming along with my other card either. *frowns*

I have also collected my replacement SIM card from Starhub on Wednesday!
Definitely yet another liberating experience!
Being "uncontactable" has its perks, however the inconvenience soon overwhelms the "unavailable" mode. Everyone grumbles about not able to locate me. Hahahhaa..

Adapting to replacement phones always drives me nuts!
I was using the Motorola L6 earlier, and just by figuring out where the profiles and settings are, not to mention the process of SMS. I wonder how i managed to survive using it the last time round.

So i decided to switch to the old nokia phones at home.
Leaving me with a choice of:
The 6260

or the 6610i.

Alas! I could not locate the old fat chargers! so i stuck around more to the L6 for another day, until mommy tells me where she's hidden the old chargers.
I finally settled on the 6020, and i had a great time fumbling around! First i smsed Da, instead of mommy, and next i rushed to answer the phone, and ended up broadcasting the phone call in loud speakers!
I could not figure out what the "huge fullstop in fontsize 100, with brackets" sign on the left hand corner of the phone was, until boo told me later that it was the old logo for bluetooth!
Gah! I feel dumb! Everything feels weird when you are using backdated technology!

I am that ignorant -_-".

Then boo's mom offered her spare phone to me!

The nicest replacement phone of the lot! The Nokia 7270! *grinz*
The specs and operating system is somewhat close to the 7610, so i am feeling less of a tech idiot for now! Yay!

jaded

Ever gone through days where you feel that every aspect of your life is falling apart? Some sort of a rough patch?
Well, at least i do.
It seems as though as my world is falling apart, crumbling, somewhat like a smashed cookie.

I am not happy, and nothing seem to be able to bring about gaiety to my life.
I am not satisfied, depite all that shopping that i have done.
And i do not think my lack of enthusiasm in life has anything got to do with trauma or what i have experienced recently.
It is about my indifference and stale reactions to everything that ails me.

I'm feeling crappy over my replacement phone, but yet all that is available in the market seem equally unappealing to me.

I feel pressured into making a hasty decision whether to settle for an ipod and a crappy phone,
or go without an ipod and get a spanky phone.

Pushed into planning a schedule for the next day, when in truth - i dont have one, and dont feel like having one.

Yet when i do make a choice, it always falls short of expectations.
It's as if i'm never good enough, and i never will - no matter how hard i work at it.

A snail's a snail. Face it you, you can try to change the characteristics of a snail, but your pet snail is never going to be happy. Why choose a snail in the first place?

Right now, i'm just feeling weary.
perhaps i AM jaded, and i need a break.

Fucked.

What was supposed to be an entry of how i spent my day in JB, has now become a shitty entry of how a Malaysian asshole snatched my Handbag.

The fucking thing about the entire ordeal?
It was over in a flash. Wow!

I barely set my foot on the ground after crossing over to the other side of the road, and next thing i knew, my right hand hurt like hell, nearly got flung off balance, and a fucker on a motorbike is holding on to a bag that looks alot like mine ( Yeah, it WAS mine!)
All i had to utter in response, was "fucked!", and he was gone.

The fucker was on a motorbike ( you know the typical ones most malaysians use) , attacked from the back. He drove past me and yanked my bag that was slinged on my shoulders.

No, i was not complacent, and neither was i feeling cocky about being in Malaysia.
In fact, I was holding onto the handle of my bag, despite it slinging/sitting on my shoulders, because everyone warned me about how unsafe JB was.
So save me your "tsk tsk tsk, and i told you so", lest you get mugged by karma, for laughing.

Boo gave chased after the bike, in hope to get a license number plate/ grab my bag or something. He gave chased for quite a distance and came back.
But man running after a motorvehicle seems to be a furtile effort.
Yes my boyfriend is upset that he's unable to do anything to prevent it from happening.

What the hell was in my bag?
-

Examination slip that u have to provide when you enter the exam hall.
$200 shopping vouchers mostly from C.K. Tang and alittle for Takashimaya.
My nokia N70 i think its worth at least $200 if i trade it in
Boo's Nokia 6170 probably 150-200?
My ipod Nano retail priced at $298?
Lver Cardigan worth $60 plus
my Ralph pouch with makeup in it:
cosmetic in total about $80

Total: about $998 and it's excluding the cost of getting replacement passport and NRIC, new phones, and new ipod nano, so the total loss is still unestimated.

As for Me, a 5cm scratch under the wrist and a sore arm from the impact of getting my bag yanked from.
Traumatised and very, very sensitive to motorcycle coming from my back, and extremely emotional about the loss of my ipod, a gift from boo.
my black cardigan that can never be replaced and the lack of my face paint to get out of the house.
Possible security issues because boo is convinced that the bugger ( if he haven't already died frm choking from his food yet), has all the necessary details, to break into my house to steal my money. Therefore, i have to replace my house keys and door locks.

Having to go through mutiple police statement reports, getting my identification and bank documents replaced, to buy yet another new phone, and to live with it.

I hope that asshole dies soon! He deserves it.

the life of a textbook.

My life is filled with textbooks.
Every waking moment, is filled with module related reading.

From Human Resource Management, to Leadership and management and Distribution Channel.
It came to a point where HRM and LM seem to be overlapping. - Everything became a blur, to a point where looking at any textbook, sort of gave me a dejavu feeling, where just looking at the title of the paragraph, i am absolutely able to predict how the points would be elaborated. The content of both textbooks are similar, sprouting the exact same points. Gahhh everything is driving me nuts, nuts, nut!

With such short time to study, frustration occurs when i push myself to hit my personal unrealistic target. Frustrations are often met with little unrealistic mental holidays where i envision myself, in some other parts of the world, doing something random and extreme - like bungee jumping or bullying sharks somewhere. Anything, but opening my eyes to look at my black and white copy of cheap textbook.

I cannot wait to get my ass to Bali, and it had better be worth the wait.

On a lighter note, i have been comforting myself, by buying a whole load of clothes online. Bad news is, i haven't got any chance to wear them around. It is such waste, to keep them hanging around in the wardrobe.

Oh well, looking pretty would have to wait. I am looking like a panda.
and panda needs sleep now.

zzzZZzz.

Territorial

Territorial.
After 24 years, I have finally found the word to describe my annoyance towards certain "trivial" situations, that enrages me.
Da calls it Territorial. Hah!

I was just sharing with her how annoyed, or rather how trivial situations like these, never fails to bring out the snappier, angrier side of me.

You must be wondering what exactly am I driving at, but hands up for those who have been in various situations that left you enraged, crying out "foul!", that left you pissed for as long as it takes, until you managed to share your territorial woes with like minded friends?

Scenario one.
You bought a skirt, at an incredibly cheap price.
Your buddies comments how pretty it is.

The next day, while you were out shopping with them, they saw the exact same skirt at a different price, and they each bought the exact skirt, right under your nose, without checking if it was alright with you.

Scenario two.
You brought your buddies to an "exclusive" place, having in mind that all good things should be shared with good friends of yours. Little did you know that the exclusivity was highly publicised by your friends ( probably because your friends thought that all good things should also be shared with their other friends), and the place soon lost its exclusivity.

Firstly, there is absolutely nothing morally wrong with both the situations.
In scenario one, you cannot stop anyone from getting the same skirt as you.

Not that auntie you see around your neighbourhood HDB market,
or that fat blubber whom just scrolled across the street in orchard,
nor the tranny that just happened to be flouncing around in it,
or even the store owner who brought in hundreds of that same skirt to sell.

So why the sheer cry of outrage, when your friends choose to buy the exact skirt, right under your nose, without checking if it was alright with you?

Let me lead you into the psychological make up of Daphne's Territorial view.

Technically speaking, in my snob opinion, when i purchase ANYTHING, i expect it to have a certain amount exclusivity to it, which is one of the reasons why some people are willing to pay thousands of dollars, just to lay their hands on limited edition items.

If i purchase the item FIRST, the least my immediate group of "friends" could do, is to respect the fact that the skirt was first spotted and worn by me, and not habour thoughts to owning it as well.

However, IF you really, really need to buy the exact same thing, respect me, by checking if i am fine with it, before doing it.

Afterall, figurative speaking, if you need a favor from my boyfriend, it is only polite to tell me about it, before asking my boyfriend, instead of disregarding my presence, and call him up directly, do you? Well, at least i am appalled by it.
-

While in scenario two, a benefit was extented to you, when your friend shares with you a place that was deemed exclusive to her, and it was solely to be enjoyed by people whom she deem "worthy", ie good friends.

A good analogy of what is wrong with "spreading the love around" , would be like sharing a pie.

You eat the pie alone, you get 100% of the pie, but no one to accompany you.

You share the pie with your friend, you eat 50% of the pie, but you have someone to enjoy the goodness of the pie with you.

You share your pie with 3 other friends, you only get 25% of the pie, but you have a party.

Overcrowding happens when you eat only 5% or lesser of the pie.
Would that huge amount of sharing be considered enjoyable? No. 5% is less than a mouthful. That is when something is no longer enjoyable, and non exclusive.

It is afterall appropriate and polite to ask ie you receive an invite to a dinner party, if you want to bring a friend along, it is only right to inform the host about it. That is manners.
-
Selfish - For the lack of a better word to describe my perspectives towards the above scenarios.
I expect a certain amount of "respect" and confidentiality from my "exclusive" group that i share or extent personal benefits to.

Self admittedly, i am a snob.
A friend snob.

Not that i am conceited enough to say that my "pie" is great or anything, but i am a true believer of balance.

I would not eat the pie alone, because i am not greedy by nature.
However, I would not be dumb enough to share my pie with every pig, dog or cat that comes along, and end up not eating the pie.
Afterall, i am not running a charitable organization.

Rather, the pie would be properly shared, by my inner circle. This is what i call balance.

The price of my friendship?
Just simply respect how much i value exclusiveness and confidentiality in my life, and not attempt to "spread the love" around, because i value my balance in life very much.
Just because you had an insight to it, does not mean you have to broadcast them.

Just because they are your friends, doesnt necessary mean that they are mine.
Even if they are my friend, it does not necessary mean that they truly ARE my friends and i would fancy sharing anything with them.
In short, I am not benevolent.

Overcrowding upsets my balance, and it disses me off big time.
Except for sheer coincidence, i would not fancy seeing any uninvited friends in the same chill out place that i have discovered, or salon that i frequent, or just plain wearing the same piece of clothing as i am, and anything in equivolent, unless i say it is okay.

It is only appropriate and polite, because i am anal about appropriateness and extremely fussy about everyone being in their appropriate place - Da calls it hierarchical friendship. i.e, know where you stand and not overstep your boundaries.

I dont give a hoot about the people you deem as friends.
Just enjoy the generousity i extented, and learn how to contain the enthusiasm to share.

Thank you for your understanding.

sunnies. hair. exams

I took a picture with Eelyn's sunnies! They're cute! But i think they look cuter on her than me!
I think it's something that has got to do with the jawline and cheeks.
i've got fat and huge jawline, while Eelyn has nice jawlines that i'll die to have.

I sent Boo up to Blitz for a haircut the other day!
It's his first time being a guinea pig! (my attempts on converting him into a cheapo...haha)
We were caught in the rain after lunch, i insisted on cam whoring to pass time while waiting for the rain to lighten up alittle. Made silly faces as usual.

Went over to Reds for the hair demo that William and Gabriel conducted.
I had fun with the girls! From left to right : Jayne, Christina, Rachel and me.
I look huge and fat in this picture! so maybe it's time to lose some weight.
It's totally unflattering standing next to the 3 of them! Arghh!

As for the demo, i'll say that it was quite an experience. Just earlier in the day, William (one of the boss of Blitz), told me that i'm Blitz's longest model ever. Gahhh.. 4 whole years la. I take it as a compliment, and that speaks alot about my patience and my "cheapo-ness" too.
hee hee hee.

Hung out with the crew post Demo, they are a funny bunch. After knowing some of them for years, this is actually the first time i hung out with them. Haha. Too bad Kate wasn't there.

--
Was out mugging at Ridout Macs earlier.
I didnt accomplish what i sought to accomplish today.
Which is quite a feat actually.
I made a pact with Zoe. We were supposed to finish reading up 300 pages of our textbook.
alas! i've merely managed 100pages of Human Resource Management! Boo.

I went over to commonwealth for dinner with Zoe and Daniel, and I ended up with skinned elbows and knee when my attempted stunt failed.
Being lazy, i refused to make a detour. Deciding on hopping across a huge steep drain that separates the walkway and the concrete road. But Alas! the slippers that i was wearing wasn't meant for stunts. Whoops!
I slid, fell, and have skinned myself.
Thank god Daniel managed to grab me in time! Or i'd end up in a worst state.

Lesson learnt: Never attempt stunts in flip flops.

Boo.
It was fun while it lasted (2 seconds). Been a long time since i last tried stunts.
Makes me feel young again! Hahaha!
--
On a darker side, exams is approaching in a matter of days.
I hate the stupid that set the schedule.
25,27,30 April. and 9may.

I submitted Distribution Channel project on monday, and my first paper is on Wednesday.
Makes me wonder if that stupid had brains to think anot!
So much for compassion la.

I have to rush to study for 3 papers in a time span of 9 days!
Well done stupid. At the rate my face and health will be taking a toll!
I can so envisioning myself dying sprawled on the floor, from sheer exhaustion, or and overload of information

Disgusting stupid schedule.

Bah!

*Revolted face, and stomps off to bed*

Permed hair.

I reckon that taking pictures while travelling, would help to kill boredom, and shorten the stoning time involved.
Therefore, i camwhored my way to work on Sunday morning.
Life if pretty lonely withouth my zzZzzz sister to endure the bus ride along with me, not that she made much difference in conversation, seeing that she's snoozing 95% of the journey there. Haha. Oh well.
At least she's entertaining on the journey back home, where we cam whored our way back home.

In anycase, the pictures above, reflects the old hair cut.

Say helloo to the newly cut and permed hairdo.
Having my hair permed, is like a major hair milestone. After living on earth for 24 years, i've finally subjected the hair to a perming session, despite the horror stories that my mom lives to tell.

The only reason why i have decided to go ahead with the permed look, is due to the fact that Blitz needed girls for some coming Demonstration workshop of sorts for Reds Salon.
The after effect of sitting around for 3 whole hours?
An extremely crazy hair at the moment, but Gabriel and Willam assured me that the "bounce" would be less springy in a matter of day, and i sure hope so.

Somehow, the permed look didnt seem too surprising to me, after all, i've been fooling around with the curling iron that boo got for me, to create similar effects.
Only that this permed style is professionally done, while my temporary curls look only nice from the front, due to the limitation of the human limb.
I can't possibly twist my hands to angle my hairdo at the back nicely can i? Besides, my eyes are located in the front, not the back. Ahh well again.

The girls generally like the perm, while the guys claim that i've aged at least 10 years over an hour.
Ahhh who cares? As long as i like it, it is all that matters.
Besides, if you were to ask me, it's all about adjusting and getting used to the new hairstyle, nothing scary or life threatening.

Post hair washing observation: My hair looks somewhat like a cross between a Mehhh's shaven wool, and the poodle's hair. Boo. Gotta learn to start applying products on my hair.... and bye to the non combing/styling days of bed head.

Yawn..
On the otherhand, I've dedicated like 80% of my recent life to the Distribution Channel project, and have been hanging around in school like it's home.
I'm almost prepared to camp in school, if it wasn't for the fact that the escalator construction drilling is capable of driving me nuts!

I would really like to finish the project like soon, but i'm too lazy to start working on it. Ah hahaha.

We'll miss you, Snuffy, and scrawny pix!e

I received news of Snuffy's passing away earlier in the day. Naturally, i asked millions of questions, of which boo could answer none.
Despite suffering from cancer, and having gone through chemotheraphy, Snuffy seemed healthy and active when i last saw him on the third day of Chinese New Year, so i'm definitely shocked.

Snuffy was such an adorably little fella, even though he didn't' quite have fur or look the way his kind should look.

Though Snuffy does not belong to me or boo, he'll be greatly missed by Roy, Sheila and us. I didnt dare to message either of them, for fear of sparking waves of tears and sadness, so keeping silent seem the best to be for now.

Dealing with death is always tough. I cried many days when Murry was put to sleep. I miss my cat.

--
Just the other day, i brought Pix!e to the vet, at Mount Pleasant animal clinic.
Her skin problem seem to be worstening by the day. Yes, a balding guinea pig is always bad news.

Before bringing her to the vet, i read up alittle about her skin problem, but was unable to determine what she was suffering exactly. Was it Fungal, Mites and Lice, or Vitamin C deficiency? I could not locate any common guinea pig illness that was generated with keywords along: " fur problems", "guinea pig skin disease" and many more.

Boo and i spent hours sitting around waiting to consult the vet.
When we finally met the vet, we were told that her skin condition might not necessary be an exterior problem, but rather a reflection of internal problem.

Pix!e was then sent for a laboratory test, which involves skin scrapping.

I teared when i saw the fella using a sharp knife to scrap my little darling's bald spot at the thigh and neck area. A surgery KNIFE! =(

About an hour later, the test results did not detect any skin disease, and instead, i was told that the pig is likely to be diabetic. Which sort of explained for her increased intake of food, and yet still seem skinny/almost anorexic, frail outlook.

The nice vet lady prescribed Pix!e with vitamins, antibiotics, and skin cream, and we were told to be back in a weeks time for a review. Ahhhh, i hope pix!e's gonna be alright.

I came home to google "diabetic guinea pigs", and none of the case study or piggies showed symptons of balding. Puzzling. Definitely puzzling. Tsk tsk.

--

I'm currently "having fun" with a struggling piggie, who simply hates eating medicine.

Her reactions are definitely commendable.

1) It starts with her sniffing the air, detecting the smell of me preparing her mixture into a stringe. She promptly freezes, and resembled somewhat like a frozen piggie.

2) As i attempt to get her out of the cage, she darts to the corner of the cage. She squeals really loudly while darting from corner to corner. It takes quite an effort to get my hands on her, because she can be really fast, when she wants to, in life threatening situations, as like out nightly routine.

3) Securing my hands on her chin, to "shoot" the medicine into her mouth proves to be tough.

That little bald lady really knows how to put up with a fierce fight! She struggles pretty hard, for a frail and skinny little creature!

you'll never realise how tough it is to be feeding o.57cc of liquid to your little brat, until you actually try. I could not recall things being THIS bad, the last time she was discharged from the hospital. Ahhh.. i guess the piggie brat grew smarter?

Picture of my little piggie brat when she was much younger and fatter.
She looks scrawny and bald now. Will try to take recent picture of her when she's looking better.

When Scrabbles the bunny came, and fur was still intact, but noticeably scrawnier.

Well, i'll stick to my answer -> when boo asked if i'll still love her, even if she's bald and ugly.
My answer: Yes, i'll still love her no matter how she looks. It's unconditional love. =)

Anger Management

I'm not in much mood to blog lately, so heck the abrupt writings that i've adopted recently. In anycase, a fair bit of weird things that i have been doing lately.

Monday
There's my recent boycotting of school food to start with, where i literally starved myself, simply because i felt that the effects of eating lousy food would be worst than suffering gastric.

Dumb it may sound, but my food strikes stopped promptly when hunger was waaaayyy too much for me to withstand. The strike started on a friday, and ended on a monday. Lousy.

Wednesday
I spotted someone carrying a multicolored Coach bag in school. It's not that i fancy the bag, but rather, i detest the bag carrier. It got me started on a bout of bad memories that are best deleted permanently.

What can i say from this fast encounter? Bad bag taste + bad dress sense - come on, if you have chunky thighs like an elephant, quit wearing the mini skirts and worst, paired with a baby doll top. It just makes you look chunkier. Not cute or girlish, like you've imagined yourself to be.

Meeting you in person just reminded me that my facial features aren't the flattest in the world.

Definitely a repulsive 1 minute encounter.
I'm actually sorry that i've got this in built radar for people i detest.
My eyes are really sharp, when detecting eyesores, and yet they fail me, on an everyday basis.

Thursday
It's been a long while since i last felt angry enough to slap/punch anyone, where the process made my blood pressure rised threefolds. Yet the rest of the group seemed less reactive in comparison.
I reflected on what happened, and it occurred to me that i should continuously work on my anger management alittle, especially when i am dealing with difficult people.

Being "volatile" doesn't necessary seem to be a good thing, but it's definitely something that i've always been learning to curb, since young - fighting with male cousins, especially Derek, was a weekly event back in those days.

Mom usually have to sit me in a corner and try to tell me all about not being so explosive. Through the years, i've learnt to exercise restriants over minicule matters, but definitely need polishing up on the bigger matters, such as Thursday.
*

I've been sleeping alot more lately, and i'm still feeling tired.
Restless, tired, and distracted.

Friday
Nursing a huge bump on my head.
Still hurts, and it hurts bad enough for me to make monkey faces for a good 5 minute.
Boo! Rubbing hurts alot.
The bump was an accidental self affliction - i was checking out for vegs in the lower compartment of the fridge, and wham! I bumped my head when i stood up. That stopped me from wanting supper for a while. *pouts*

I settled for cup noodles when Boo stopped by Esso.

I'll load happy pictures up soon, when i'm feeling less lousy.

Sunnies and new house.

Taken in the morning

Taken at night.
See the difference in expression?

Da and i have been working in the morning, for the past 2 weeks.
It's tough i tell you. Waking up at 8, to get to work by 10am.
The hot weather, and harsh sunlight, gave us a horrible uneven tan.
I'm currently sporting unevenly brown shoulders, and horrible eye rings.

I'll leave for work looking extremely grumpy, while Da flopping over to sleep every chance she gets, and we'll travel =(
Sunnies happens to be a MUST HAVE, when we leave for work recently.

Took Zoe's sunnies to try, and i found myself looking alot like a blind girl , performing along the streets. I'm in the hunt for a nice squary looking sunnies, that doesnt look too square. Hahah dumb description, but sounds like i'm hard to please huh?
-
The boys came over to my place on Saturday, to accomplish Organization Theory project. There were 7 of us in total. It was such a sight, to see 7 Laptops placed side by side on my dining table - it was just too bad that we didnt take a picture.

I've finally submitted Organization Theory, and Human Resource Management project, where both happened to be due on the same day.. No doubt i was mentally and physically exhausted after i was done submitting the 2 projects.
Slept like a pig on Monday night...and went on sleeping over til Tuesday.
Life is considerably slacker for the time being, until Distribution Channel project beckons.
-

On the fun side,
Boo and i headed over to Ah Xue's place for a barbeque session over the weekends. The Strata, is conveniently located opposited United Square, Novena. Nice, but small estate. we then drooled over her new car - the Toyota MRS. New car, new home. I want that too!! Ahhhh this is the kind of life that i'll wanna lead, when i approach her age.I drooled alot over her sunken bath and rain shower.

The week before, Boo brought me over to Howie's place, which is also strategically located. The Nexus, along Bukit Timah Road, next to Maple Woods.

Suddenly, buying a place of your own seems to be the trend.
Therefore, it's time to work hard, save money and get myself a place of my own SOON!
hahaha...

Hair appointment and zouk beckons.
Will write more later.

inking thoughts

The last time i was packed with projects and on the verge of facing exams, i was contemplating a belly piercing. That was about a year ago. Zoe and i were talking about getting our bellies pierced, i and remember mugging out in the living room til dawn, camping at the day bed that boo painstakingly moved over to my place together with a Winston and this other guy tt wears fancy shoes (can't remember his name).
We later dropped that piercing idea when we were done with all that stress, and started sleeping/wasting our term breaks away.

Yep, that was a year ago. A year later...
faced in near situations of overwhelming deadlines and approaching exam dates, i'm contemplating getting a tattoo.

I'm beginning to notice a trend. When stressed up, i'll get the impulse to do something extreme? Luckily, i'm still pretty much in control and sane.

Rather, i lack the guts to carry through, afterall, a tattoo is a lifetime commitment, and i really hate commiting to anything that simply cannot be undone.
As for belly piercing, i kinda grossed myself out, mentally running through the process of piercing.

If i ever were to get myself inked, it would definitely be on my feet or my ankles.
Yes boo, you may laugh at my botched attempts on my dragonfly henna (self painted nevertherless), but yes, my feet.

Somewhat like Nicole Richie's foot - Her rosary tattoo, only that it's alittle too religiously linked, but still, I like it!

However, given the views of our conservative society, it would definitely be cringe friendly to whoever who sees it, especially mommy. She'll hit the roof, and never talk to me for 6 months or a lifetime.

Last i recall, back in the days where it was cool to have multiple earholes, mommy hit the roof over dinner when i told her about mine. But that was years ago, and wow! Dont you miss the joys of being sixteen again?

On second thoughts, maybe, i should try inking myself with a pen, just to see how she would react first.

Bad hot days..

Life.. it's pretty dead for the time being.
I think i've just thrown away 25 marks for Leadership and management, because i had absolutely no idea about what i was writing... and i was merely wasting pen ink.

With OTD and HRM due on the very same day, i'm beginning to wonder how i'll be able to split myself into 2.

I've taken to denial and procrastinating pretty much recently, promptly forgetting to get work done. Running away always seems good, running to bed seems better.
At any mention of work, i become sleepy instanteously.

I've been looking forward to my semester end trips, and my incessant bouts of shopping. Purchased some stuff online, and i'm awaiting its arrival, which works out to be sometime near the end of exams, which suits me perfectly fine.

The weather is bad, it makes me lethargic, and it made boo sick.
Gah... i'm done with complaining. I need to motivate myself, to get done with my work fast. =(

candid eating pictures!

I've finally remembered to ask boo boo to transfer his phone pictures over to me, during supper earlier.
We had Garlic Naan and Masala chicken - it's pretty good! =)

In anycase, these are all imprompt, slightly posed pictures of me eating, eating eating. Yes i love eating. Yums!

Thank you Boo!

R.I.P

Ahh so sad. Da and i were bitching about how sad our lives is, comprising of project struggling days, and lousy scheduled exam dates. I concluded that Da's suffering is considerably worst than mine.

So just like what our display pictures suggest, May we R.I.P. soon.
Amen.

Shopping list and camisole

My shopping list so far, but i'm on the hunt for cute but reasonably priced camisoles.

I saw these 2 from Kyuri's blogshop, and she imported them from H&M, but they're SOLD OUT! =(

being lost and a new haircut

Monday
Woke up with aching legs.
Legs behaved better when boo offered to bring me out to catch a movie.
Interesting to know that the feet were instantly feeling as good as new, as i hurry about to dress up. We caught "Music and Lyrics" at Vivo City, and i think the soundtracks of the movie is cute.
We walked past Best Denki, and boo got me the curler that i've been wanting for weeks. The process of deciding was agonising. I couldnt decide if i should settle for one with cord, or without. The thickness of the curler, and the brand.
But hey! I've *waves the hair wand at everyone*
i've settled for the panasonic ionity curler!

Wednesday

Meet Monster. I saw him at Urban Junkie. Pris says he's been designed to be stuffed into shoes, to make them smell good. So cute! You can rearrange his mouth, and yank out his eyes, to create a pop-out-eye effect. He not for sale though...
Met mommy and the brother for a short dinner, before i rushed on to Blitz to get a haircut.

Went to Zouk after the haircut, and gave everyone at Mambo a "surprise". Bad music this week..

Thursday
Took this in the cab, while rushing off to Bugis to meet the group mates for our interview with AnBC for our distribution channel project. I'll promise to take better hair pictures soon..
My haircut on wednesday was done solely to make my head look less like a helmet, and most importantly to balance up the sides - the after effects of Gabriel chopping up the whole of my left side about 7 months ago. Yes you can be sure that i was rather pissed at him for a week, because everyone made negative comments about my hair. However i grew to like the haircut a week after - who cares about what everyone else thinks? Hahahah.
While we were at AnBC snapping up pictures of the store interior and products, Pris and I fought hard against our urge to buy up all that cutesy and pretty products. I ended up buying only a box of paper embellishment. Spiral paperclips.
I realised that i've got a thing for unique or cute paperclips.

More pictures to come, as i'm unable to locate the Olympus camera. Sure hope that i didn't lose yesterday.
Oh wait, Da just smsed to say that the camera's with her.

*Yup the camera's back, so more pictures in. Here, we have Pris and i goofing around at AnBC!
Nahh, we're trying to illustrate how spacious the aisle actually is! Ho ho ho!

Friday
I zonked out on bed after dinner, and after some quick calculations, i gathered that i've zonked out in bed for alittle over 13 hours. I could have lingered in dreamland for another few hours, if it was not for the fact that i could feel that "sleep-for-too-long-headache" creeping up.

I have tons of work to do, but i'm not in much of a mood to start on any. *pouts*

I dropped by Zoosh yesterday night to collect the Mobil uniform for Da and i. The uniform was horrible! The entire combination looked like what mommy wears to bed, especially the market looking bicycle shorts, like i'm wearing a sloppy body suit. Boo!

To make things worst, i was lost while making my way over to Zoosh. Irvin the agent fella had to drive over to pick me up. It was utterly embarassing!
Being lost is pretty rare to me, as i am hardly ever lost!
The fella had to add salt to my already bruised ego, by asking me if i knew how to go home from his office.

Of course i do!
He said that his office was opposite the community center, and I merely screwed up the wrong Community center.
Afterall, i never knew that there were 2 community center around Chinatown.
I went to the only CC that i've seen around the Chinatown area.

IF he told me that his office was near Keong Saik Road, and somewhere near the Oriental building, i wouldnt have ended up being near the Great Eastern builing. Gahhh!

IT Fair

Yep, i've decided that it is time to change a skin again! So there we go, byebye to pigs can fly!, and hello to Glamour Girl. Haha!
And i've posted up some pictures of Zoe and i, while we were working at the recent IT Fair at Sun Tec.

Pictures of us working on Day 2. We made effort to "co-ordinate" our outfits. The first day was just Jeans with tube, while the second day was an "Act Cute" day, where we wore shorts and cute tops.

I wore my bloomer shorts and a uber glitzy top. I got my ensemble really cheap, from all that cheap shopping that i've done recently. *Grinz*

As for Day 3, we ended the Fair with a big Bang! Zoe and i appeared for work wearing the same top! Hoo! Funny thing was, we never spoke much about wearing the same top, only decided on plainly tube and jeans again. Cute eh?

Everyone working along with us, were amused as well. In anycase, this was our first time wearing this Lver tube top together on the same day. It was that very sunday morning, that we realised that our tube top isn't 100% identical!

The dots were of different size and space, and the yellow base of the fabric was lighter for her, and yellower for mine. Hahhaa.

Working for Dicota for the first time, made it pretty enjoyable. The people there were friendly and nice, the food provided was considered "premium" for the trade standards, though i think i performed averagely only.

This week has been pretty bizarre for me. Not only did i meet many old friends while i was working at the fair, i've also bumped into a few on the streets!
Ahh, it's thrilling to see how everyone is doing now, and i'm really happy that everyone is doing fine.

Bestfriend week

Yes yes, i'm acting cute again. This time, it's with Selene's mini Chuppa Chubbs lolly phone accessory. Cute? Heee hee hee. It's been a fruitful week for me (strawberry flavour!).
Meeting up with 2 bestfriends of mine from different time "era", proves to be fun.
Lets see... Monday night was with Zoe, Tuesday evening with Selene, and Wednesday Evening with Lydia!

Obviously, Zoe's the newest bestie arrival, followed by the discovery of Lydia during my poly days, and Selene from Secondary school days! Hahaha!

Pictures of Selene and i cam whoring in one of those little cafe shops after dinner.

I haven't seen Lydia for years! Being far far away in UK, makes it really difficult to meet up .
I like the pink polka dotted tee, from Zstamp at Far East, it's soooo cute!
Well as usual, we tried on the same stuff, and that got me reminising over the days when we were in TP design school.
Back then, we were known as the chopstick sisters, as we pretty much fancy the same stuff, so we ended up buying and wearing the same stuff together! We made things interesting, by wearing the same item on the same school day!

Planning and co-ordinating our outfits for the next day, was usually our last ending conversation before saying bye, when we were making our way home. Sounds lame, but it was so much fun that i missed!

Ahh, it's funny how i met each bestie, All of them under unusual situations, but i'll blog about them some other time. But you know what?! All my besties are pretty! ho ho ho!
Anyway, it's bed time for me. *Yawn*
