I have been soooo busy recently that i barely have the time to load pictures up, much less to blog!
Juggling 2 jobs, and yet still trying to keep up with my bummerina lifestyle is definitely talking a toll on me!
Not that i'm in any particular need for money, but i love both my jobs so much that i've burned almost all 7 days on work - especially now that it's nearly reaching year end, more jobs are coming in! I'm sooo going to be buried with work, if i do not plan my schedule properly!
Monday
My MC for the wisdom tooth op expired, so I went back to work, and went about doing my usual Visual Rounding.
Trekked over to the Singpore flyer for casting with Da, and i was cussing my way to the Singapore flyer, because we walked ALOT! My poor feet!
Was ravaneous by the time i met Adi for our weekly dose of Pool session - prior to pool we had steamboat buffet at Beach Road! *claps hand with glee*
Tuesday
Work
Met Da after work for costume fitting for Sunday's F1 event at DXO
Dropped by Union to social dance
Wednesday
Work
Had dinner at home for once, and i bummed around crashed out pretty early.
Thursday
Work again!
Rushed home to dress up, and headed out for my happy buffet dinner at Oriental Mandarin! I had sooo much desserts that night that i'd have think that even the ants would be scared of me. Heeehee
Friday
Work
Had buffet dinner at a japanese restaurant near office to celebrate mommy's birthday, then dropped by Union for Gary's birthday celebration and subsequently went home to crash!
Gosh! I had 3 buffets just this week alone!
Talking about being stuffed, and eating with a vengence!
Saturday
Work I - I saw Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Masa in person, up close!!!
Not that i'm star struck, but yes i could at least say that i've met them in person :D
Work II- Ate lots of Wasabi flavoured chips and snuck glances at the F1 race while working at the Meze Bar.
I'm having a sore throat from all that wasabi chips. :(
I caught the House Bunny movie after work! The show's so funny!
I swear i love chick flicks! The more bimbotic it is, the happier i am!
Quoting the movie: The eyes is like the nipples to the face.
OMG! It sounded soooooo wrong, but yet it's so right. Hahah
I guess i've got to crash soon.
Got to catch a ferry at Clark Quay terminal, and get myself ferried over to DXO from there in what i call, my exotic alien looking outfit. Sounds Weird right?!
zzZzz
Pictures coming up in Facebook soon!
xoxo!

Credit card fraud
It's sooooo freaky!
Just when i mentioned that my frienster account might have been hacked into, Adi told me that my com might be infected by spyware or virus or whatever la!
Somedays back, i was attempting to book movie tickets online while on the phone with Adi, and being too lazy to walk over to the room to get my credit card, i decided to useAdi's credit card number instead.
The first time the transaction went through, I was told that the seats that I have chosen were being selected by someone else, and i was prompted to reselect my choice of the seats. Weird thing was, when we tried to re-enter the credit card details in, the card was denied access! So with no choice, i had walk to the room to fish my credit card out loh. :(
We had supper at coffee club after the movie and once again, Adi faced the same problem with the same card, so i guess naturally you would make a phone call to the bank to enquire why your card is not working right?
*
It was only today, when i met Adi for supper, i was told that the reason why his card was rejected the other day, was because there was some credit card fraud problem la!
Apparently it's a classic case scenario of now you've got money in your account, and next your money's wiped out in a blink! The bank investigated and claimed that the problem lies with an online transaction that was done using he card...and so i guess the virus or spyware culprit was either from my computer or his.
Luckily, Adi's dad managed to make enough noise and complaints to the bank that the money was reinstated into the account, because it was all discovered within 24 hours or something like that! I shudder to think about what would happen, should the bank refuse to reinstate the money!
zzZzz
Life is really boring when you get bogged down by stupid unnecessary problems like this loh!
I have just completed spyware scanning, i'm now waiting for virus scanning to be over
*drums table absent-mindedly and waits*
dum di dum..

of gum stitches and make ups!
You change your mind, like a girl changes clothes.
You PMS like a bitch, i would know.
I like how this phrase analogizes fickleness!
Heeheehee. " Hot and Cold" by Katy Perry is like one of my MUST listen to songs at the moment, whenever the occassion calls for my nano to be plugged into my ears. Call it obsession if you want, i'm amused, and the tune is catchy and happy!
I think Da and Adi both prefer "I kissed a girl" more than hot and cold.
I liked both, only that i have a better obsession for hot and cold because of the cute lyrics.
Mehhh Whatever!

I woke up really early at 7.30am and headed over to the National Dental Centre to get my stitches removed! 9am appointment! It's insanely early - i dont know which frame of mind was my mommy in, when she chose the appointment time for me (I obviously was in a drugged and groggy state after surgery right?)
I was vegetating on the bus where i suddenly decided that i am usually waaay too over dressed as compared to the average around (I'll like to blame it on the superficialness of my job nature).
I always love how random thoughts and self conversations ( most people call them reflections) like these form in my head whenever i am bus-sing around!
.....
You know it #1
You can barely recognise yourself when you stare at the mirror after crawling out from bed in the morning.
Hui Yi and i had this conversation about how we could not leave home without make up, and how she told me that her boyfriend joked that he could not recognise her while he was waiting for her to dress up. Well my mommy once commented similar stuff to me as well. Zzzz
She wonders how my "bf" would react if he sees me without all my paint and glitz. who cares?
You know it #2
When the very nice staff nurse in charge of pre surgery briefing eyes me and smile amusingly to herself as she explains the pre surgery preparation protocols to me.
Still looking amuse, she points out to the notes stated on the brochure,
Of which, they went something like this:
>No make up (aha! i'm kinda very well painted for a dental appointment - i was meeting friends after that what!)
>No contact lens (Ha! Yay! a good occasion to create an intellectual look!)
>No jewellery (Woah, i think i had like 5 earrings studs, necklace and a finger ring)
>Nails cannot be painted. She said to make sure that i dont arrange for any manicure session before surgery okay? (i had very dark blue nails with green minty dots as decoration - it's hard to miss them on a visual check. Hahhaha)
>Wear comfortable attire ( i'm usually nicely dressed, but i get the point.. )
>No heels (i was in my usual uber tall platforms wedgies!)
After rattling on a whole list of other stuff, she said to me "okay, I'm done nagging."
She's sooooo cute and motherly la!
Now, i know why she's smiling. Everything that i wasn't allowed to do or have on the day of the surgery, i was "guilty" of it.
I guess my reply amused her as well! Hahahha
I said, "Right, that's alot of things to remember, but the geist of it was to be as ugly as possible so that i will be very comfortable, and being comfortable means everyone would be happy right?"
She laughed in response. ZzzZz

When it takes you approximately 15 mins to paint your face to be ready to leave home, and yet take a long time leave home with a naked face (kidding) - coz must muster all the guts you have to walk out "naked" ma. Zzzz
You know it #4
When you have one of those conversations with your sister discussing about what is the one true essential item that you cannot leave home without, and i could not make up my mind if i could not do without my eye liner, or blusher... oh wait! There's the concealer too! Argh!
Hahah.
Luckily for me, i know that i'm not such a goner yet,
when everyone is still able to recognise my colorless naked face, and still be able to look at me in the eye, and have a decent conversation. (I guess!) Hurhurhurhur.
I guess I am in one of my rare extreme good mood to take a dig at myself, BECAUSE!
I'm nearly done with kissing my wisdom tooth(s), teeth, whatever, GoodBye!!
Just when i thought, that the joy of being able to munch on succulent chicken meat was such an awesome progress, i'd say that removing my gum stitches is like freeing myself off restrictive undergarments!
It's Soooooo LIBERATING! Hah ha!
Now that the gummy stitches are off, I am able to do awesome tongue gymnastics and even feel the holes at the back of my gummies!
Yah, it sounds really gross, but it's true!
I am really, really in an awesome mood today! Woots!
Psst: I'd think that part of the awesomeness were contributed by the fact that i had fulfilled my bubble tea quotient for today.
I truly missed chewing on bubble tea pearls, despite the sore gums and weak teeth hurting from chewing something chewy and hard,
Err for the uninitiated, I usually consume bubble tea by the crates on a daily basis! (kidding! but at the rate i'm slurping them up, i seriously think i contribute to like 10% of the local bubble tea store Sweet Talk's annual profit or something!)
On another hind note, i would be giving milkshake a miss for now!
Drinking milkshake the way i did during the recovery period is definitely NOT FUNNY!
*smile!*

gumy day 4 and backtracking
I am sooooo glad that i am beginning to eat quicker and better now!
Definitely good news for me!
I've been promised a buffet line at the Mandarin Oriental, along with a whole load of foodie places that i swear i'll conquer before September ends! I'm eating with vengence!
Hahahha!
*
Dropped by office today before heading over for a short meeting with Motorola at their Headquarters, and it was an interesting session. I guess my job enthusiasm is pretty high - after all, how often does a Daphne on Medical Leave bothers to make effort to go back to work?
Post meeting, since i was already dressed and out, i dropped by on the Balestier Studio that Mommy was photoshooting at! I bussed my way over to Balestier, and barely fretted over finding my way to the studio!
I'd say that Mommy's birthday photoshoot went pretty well, and i sure hope that she enjoyed it!
I was dying to give chewing meat a try, and so i insisted that we ate chicken rice at Boon Tong Kee! I had sooooo much joy chewing on chicken meat!
It was only when i reached home that i realised that my stitches on one side of my mouth was missing! OMG!
I think i might have injested the thread while happily munching on that very tough slab of chicken breast (which is tender to everyone but me!). I'm definitely not feeling too thrilled about what i've just swallowed!
*
I decided to change hair color to something more chocolatey, and viola! I'm no where near my intended color because i forgot to wash my hair color in time?!
I think i should seriously just make the effort to trod over to Blitz to color my hair!
For one, it cost me nothing and my hair gets colored professionally.
While my itchy fingers cost me $20 and i ended up with shit results. ZzzZz..
However more hair surprises are waiting in line! I just need time to carry through!
*
I'm kinda spooked out because i think some my online accounts might have been hacked into!
I've been receiving the weirdest things in friendster and therefore im currently on a password changing frenzy! So whoever you are, i think you're a piece of shit with nothing better else to do to kill time! Seriously! Go get a life! @@#$(*!&@!

Being toothless, and having too much time to spare, the lyrics of a song playing on radio caught my attention.. Becareful for what you wish for...
My thoughts started trailing back to over a year ago, Mr Q did say something of similar meaning, when i chose to step out of my " little snowglobe world".
I'm sure down the path that i have chosen, i've had my share of falls, blood and tears, but well i'm pretty sure that I didnt wish for our friendship to turn out the way it is now.
As much as i hate to admit it, or say it into your face, the perfect little snowglobe world was prematurely broken once, when reality crashes, and that took me a long while to struggle on, fooling myself into leading a life of denial and pretence, playing along that the intrusion never did happened.
Because Miss Z said to me that we could hope that only time will tell, it took me more than a year to realise that the charade would never work out, as hidden cracks eventually started to show up, while existing problems became more evident, that i eventually lost faith in sorting out my life.
No doubt that you doted on me, but thank you for indulging me.

Wisdom tooth
Ridding myself off my wisdom tooth has always been one of those "to do" things that i have never gotten to do back when i was busy with everything that i needed to be busy with.
Having been slacking and bumming around since graduation, i have decided to check myself in with the dentist, and arrange for a wisdom tooth rebellion session.
With a little discussion and preparation here and there, the day finally arrived, and there i was,
checking myself into the the National Dental Center ( NDC) on Friday, to get my irritating wisdoms removed!
I initially chose a nice date of 09 09 08 for my surgery, only to get them postponed because of my Sandisk job that i have agreed to do for Zoe that was due on the 11th sept. I shall elaborate september 11 in a seperate entry, and resume on my surgery entry!
The staff at NDC were really friendly and nice to me, i felt little pre surgery jitters in general, and in fact i was pretty happy and excited for someone who's about to be cut up.
The entire procedure was better sweetened with that cute anaesthetist assistant that i couldnt stop swooning about! Haaha!
At the risk of sounding silly, i have never met a sweeter and more attentive guy on first sight!
For that i conclude that he might be gay! Whatever it is, i doubt i'll be able to recognise him if i ever see him on the streets! :(
*
I slept for most of the day, and by dinner time, not only was i off ingesting pain killers, i was also too restless to remain at home. So i went out for movie with Adi and Audrey, and promptly had supper at Crystal Jade. It was the only supper place that had Daphne Friendly food in the middle of the night!
Because i'm usually hyper like a squirrel on caffeine in the night, i'm now supposed to be a cross between a pig and a squirrel, cant exactly remember the sound of the combination that Adi mentioned, but heh heh heh, it's not so funny now, adi.
Having just received my lomo sparkle lens from the mail, i brought the camera out to play, and audrey took a picture of me!
You could see the sparkle of the street lamps behind me, and i really couldn't smile for the otherwise cute picture composition.
I'm glad that the swelling is mainly hidden by my very angular jaw line, but upon close inspection, i do have a really puffy and swollen face. zzZz
*
Fast forwarding everything,to day 2,
I am extremely grumpy and cranky from the entire ordeal.
Removing 4 wisdom teeth doesnt hurt as badly as it sounds, but the recovery period is a bitch!
The stitches restricts my facial movement, and therefore i am unable to eat solid food, unable to crack up and laugh out loud, and neither can i smile. Let's also not forget my constant cravings for icecream to soothe my swelling.
The side of my lips are cracked and slightly torn, and i have slight bruises - Ahhh i feel like i'm describing a physical appearance of a raped victim.
Apart from my misery,
I am thankful that mommy bothers to cook me porridge with tender loving care..
the attention that i get to those i whine and crank to..
and the offers of mashy food delivery to my place :)
and well wishers!
While i was cranky and all, i received some suggestions from Mark that i thought were quite funny that helped cheer me up alittle! I really couldnt laugh, but i cant help laughing when i heard them..
~on facial swelling
I received links of Hamtaro, the japanese cartoon character in the form of a hamster. Compliments from Mark.Ta da! I like this picture the best, so this shall be a representation of Daphne on Day 2 of post surgery.
Cute eh?
~ Swelling resembling mumps
the superstitious chinese used to write the chinese character of the tiger on the infected cheek because they believed that the "tiger" would be able to eat the "pig" ailment up. (well i had that when i was young, and my granny made me go through the entire ordeal)
Mark on MSN : how about writing bee cheng hiang on it?
or "ah lal!" works as well (that's kinda sensitive, so i shall refrain spelling properly)
Da and I cracked up and laughed! Hilarious!
~taking home the remnants of my wisdom tooth
You should drill a hole and wear it as a necklace like how come people would do so for a tiger's tooth or something.
I cracked again in the car!
Evil fella! Trust him to think of it man!
*
On a side note, there was also an insider's joke on huddling ants that cracked me up alittle, but nothing to do with my teeth, so oh well
That's all for now!

Hello people, I'm a Graduate!
Well saying it, takes some getting used to.
Pictures of my graduation are as follow:
My conferment booklet

Da and I, it'll be her turn to be wearing the batty gown next year!
Anyway, I think look weird posing in my gown!
The brother managed to make it for the convocation in time for the food! Hahah
Yes mom's really happy that i'm graduated!
I guess amongst the 3 siblings, i was the least likely to venture into university, but Hey mommy! I'm graduated! Thank you for all the faith you've placed in me, no matter how disheartening my grades were...
It has been a long journey, and without your understanding, i wouldnt be standing here today.
and daddy, no matter how stern and nonchalent he tries to be on the exterior, we secretly know that he's happy because he offered to bring granddad along to the convocation, but due to the limited seating capacity, we couldn't. I love you daddy!
Look! Mommy's really almost as tall as us for once!
She's standing on a ledge, giving her a slight height advantage!
A Family picture, before i send them home on their own, while i move on to have fun with the friends! :D
I didnt manage to take or speak to many people on grad day, as there were throngs of people everywhere, it was chaotically messy! But every friend that i've made in school, definitely have their own unique story to tell someday, and i'd say that they will be good memories to think back to.
I took my first picture with Pris, the two of us, together with Xun Wu and Ben, made a great marketing group team but i didnt manage to spot the guys at the Atrium! :(
With Robin! He taught me how a good leader would leave no men behind!
Yes sireee! I'm gonna miss you! Work hard and earn more money soon!
With Nicky, she's soooo sweet! This girl got me a bouquet of cartoon characters all dressed in grad attire!
Mr Willie Lee!
It's interesting how we met so randomly in WIL2 session, and yet have so much to talk to in common! I had a good time laughing and chatting with him during the conferment ceremony, because the dude's seated right smack next to me! Hahahha.
If convocation was supposed to be a very sombre affair, i'd have been stoned to death by everyone surrounding me. Chih Whang! The man of our Blue Magnum Orientation Group!
He's the strong, silent one in our group!
With the girls, Larlin, Steph, Angie and myself!
Larlin, Steph, Vivi, and Mich Wong on my righ!
With viv and Wee Keong!
With Mr W himself! Da commented that this is probably the first time he look so scholarly, and i agree!
With Audrey and Adi
Miss Toh!
All the stress moment we shared with over editorial and projects woes!
A blue Magnum Group picture!
Us throwing our motar board!
Look at how hard i laughed!
I look how gleeful and amused when the hats landed, and Eddie's motar board fell into the pond nearby! *laughs even harder*
I'd say that the hat throwing bit was the best moment of the day!
Pictures with my favourite guys in Blue magnum (Justin wong Tin tin is Missing!)
With Eugene!
Jac and Robin
Eyore who graduated too!
Heading home! As usual, the ever doting Mr W never fails to send me home!
* i'll blog about my very sweet and special gift that i received from Zoe in a seperate entry.
Thank you Regan, Benny, Damian for helping her out with the gift.
