Life of a mini schnauzer

Life of a Trixie

Play fetch. Ropes and tennis balls are her favouritest for fetching.

Trixie also likes taking pictures whenever I whip out my phone..
This is her new rope that we received from the gentle paws "buy a rope campaign."
Kept the "chocolate" one for her, and gave the others to trixie's paw friend.
Strawberry one to Puppy, and the mint rope to Bruno.

And after a bath, this is how she spends her time getting dried.

Life is good, sha lala.

But what she likes doing best?
To be a shadow.
Mom claims that whenever I'm out, Trixie would just camp by the door and wait, until I get home.
No matter how many times mommy call her, she'd always run back to the door after attending to mommy.

That's why I say she's my silly shadow.

Mish mash of china and hongkong

I've never gotten round to publishing all the pictures I took, whenever I'm in China.
Now that the iphone's been wailing out about insufficient memory, I miraculously found the energy to erm...
upload my pictures online!

Mixed up noodles that I ate by the street stores. The office girls wanted to eat that, and I was with them. Eat like a local!
Food is meh. Nothing to scream about, but edible.

Not quite sure if my mom is fine with their hygiene standards, but I'm alright!

in the hotel at night, sans make up.
Did I scare you?
Hahhaa.

Headed over to Hongkong the next day, for trade fair.

I have a thing for colors.
Looking at the "world boutique" words, and I'm happy.

I went out to get supper because I was hungry, and this was what I got.
New stall, and I have no idea what the dood was selling.
Tried asking, he tried explaining, it was a failed attempt as usual.

I give up and usually channelled the inner local china girl in me, and just ordered by instinct.
Haha.
This Some soupy thingie that looks sooooo so gentle, but it was spicy like a fire dragon to me. I went to bed with a fiery stomach, but ...
Once again, I'm alive!

Went to office the next day, and Cat presented me with this furry winter jacket.
Because we were heading out to Chong Qing, and she saw the light weight jacket that I brought along for China and Japan, and nearly died.

Who knows? This jacket would served me really well for the rest of my Japan trip, because I was darn sure that I'm going to be gungho heat filled girl who knows nothing about being cold, and packed a light jacket for the trip.
How was I to know that Spring in Japan was still cold like a winter sort of cold :(
temperatures in numbers always looked deceiving.

Waiting out at the airport with Cat, heading over to Chongqing to join the first team.
We camped out at KFC, and I tried their Shrimp burger.
It's da bomb! who needs chickens at KFC?
Okay, Cat and I also nearly missed our flight because we miscalculated our time.
I swear whenever I'm in China, I turn into mode bimbo, and just leave my entire life and schedule to Cat to decide over my fate.
Trust me, my conversational mandarin may be better than passable, but reading and looking at signages is entirely out of my system.
I dread reading emails from China. Drains my mental battery.

Close up of my shrimps in the burger!

The hotel that I was putting up at, when I landed in Chong qing.
I really fancy this place. It's a neat quiet boutique hotel, and they have a convenience store just next to it, and awesome spicy barbequed fish just across the street.

I seriously didnt get to sit on the chaise lounge.
It was filled with my pile of clothes shortly after this picture.

I couldn't live without the internet, so before the luggage came apart, the macbook sprung out first! My mac acts as a router whenever I'm overseas. It powers my internet for the iphone and gadgets. I love you macmac.

Still part of the hotel, near the breakfast area.
Japanese garden and a glass elevator.
Woots.

Got these hello kitty before Singapore started hoarding them.
Heeheehee.

At Chong Qing macdonalds near our store.

Testing out my snowboots, because Cat claims that it's going to be darn cold over at Chongqing. So I purchased this pair, in the same store that she purchased hers. : /
She overhyped the temperature for ChongQing.
But since it's new, wear it anyway!
This marks the start of my swollen fashion for the next 2 weeks.

Shopping around their central district. Love the lights.
Why is it that LV in singapore isn't this fancy? With glittering lights all over the exterior?

Since Chong qing and Chengdu is just a couple of hours away from each other, the team headed over to Chengdu, to do a random check on the shop.
I'm also very excited to see the baby that I personally launched.
I uploaded Cat's train ticket instead. oops.

Thankfully, I snuck some hardboil eggs from breakfast.
I was starving, and this pretty much saved me.
I gave one to Cat, and saved one for myself!

When I say I look swollen, I really mean it.
I feel like a yeti most of the time!

This would be the famous spicy fish that I'm yattling about.
Dad's work instruction to all of us, was to eat the fish.
Haha.
Turns out, of the 6 of us, 2 staff are cantonese, and it's too spicy for them.
It was alright for me, but too salty!
We ate the fish for 2 consequtive nights!

Temperature at night.

Headed out the next day...

I'm beginning to think that every country's got it's own flyer/ferris wheel.
There's a ferris wheel far away in the far end of the misty picture.

Shop, still under renovation.

This would be part of Les Affaire's set up.
They are under our distributorship in China. :)

At the mall office.
This is how the mall would look like, once everything is done up.

Headed back to Shenzhen, and dad picked us up at the airport.
He had a short meeting with each of the key staff individually, while I hung around and counted sheeps.

Then we proceeded to a hotel a stone throw away from the airport.
This would be the lobby area.  I love lush velvet seats/sofa!
Dad's already checked into the place, prior to my arrival.

I had over an hour to kill, before Dad and I head out to get the mommy and brother.
We had chinese dinner, and the food was lovely...too hungry to be bothered with normal hongkee chinese dishes in restaurants.
Their roast pigeon was sold out though :(

Did I tell you that I love velveteen chairs yet?
:D

With too much time to kill, I took my time to photograph the room, and I even cleaned up my dusty purple boots.
I dirtied it when I visited the Chongqing store while it was being renovated.

My bags for the entire trip. Now you know why I was nuts about packing light?

Finally picked up the mommy and brother, and we headed out to the lobby area for a quick supper. Hungry people.
I ate a sandwich to fill up the gaps in the tummy.

Next day at hongkong airport. Ate yucky dimsum and we boarded the plane to Japan thereafter.

----
Post japan, our hotel was near this new mall called the K11.
It was an art themed mall.
Therefore the flying pig was installed as part of the mall decor for a limited period of time.
It's a balloon! with flappy wings and all!
I walked past the pig, and the wings landed on my head. -_-

Went out shopping til the wee hours of the night.
Slept and the next morning I got cheated by the mother.
I woke up, dressed up, got ready, and called their room (brother and her bunked in together, while I slept alone in a king sized bed), and they postponed meeting time by an hour in their dreamland.
Looking sad and deprived of an hour's worth of sleep, here I am.

Headed out for Dimsum, around the hotel area and this rice dough is cool! It's got dough fritters embedded in it, making it really crispy and we ordered the scallop version.
I had to take a picture of it!
Next time i'm in hongkong, I'm eating THAT again!

Oh and there's this pretty baby girl that my mom almost couldnt resist kidnapping.

Look at her. she looks like a doll!

Last meal at the airport, before flying home.
Curry pork katsu, and my favourite yuzu drink whenever I'm in mainland.
The yuzus in Singapore taste disgusting.
I hate the taste of rinds added into the water.
Yucks.

I visited Claud the next day, to pick up my black little furry monster.
She looks so.... ungroomed.
Hahahaha. That's puppy in the background, me thinks.
Puppy and Trixie got along really well together (Thankfully), and i'm super super glad that Trixie wasn't homesick, while I was gone, and super super glad that Claud's family loved her as if she's one of them.

Post shower look.
Haha.

---
This was a really irritating trip for me.
The tiger crew tried to take advantage of me, and I fought with them like a tigeress with claws nonetheless.
I HAD to take this picture because...
I was wearing 2 dresses, one vest, one belt, 2 necklaces, tons of bangles and a jacket (before I took it off) up the plane.
So angry!

Tiger airlines has really terrible ground crews.
I really REALLY dislike tiger air.
Unfortunately, its really the only airline that flies straight to Shenzhen baoan international airport, and I dont have much of a choice with regards to that, unless I fancy transitting.
It does not make sense to transit for a 3 hour 50 mins flight.
*stabs self*

Anyway, they insisted that my baggage was overweight. Which in truth was 2 kg heavier than necessary, because I was transporting stuff for Les affaires, and therefore my mega warfare with them.

Bitch confiscated my passport and refused to let me check in.
Well I fought, banged some tables, went to the toilet and hey, i displaced 2 kgs away on me.
Sure, I chucked out my hada labo, hair conditioner and wore the heaviest clothings on me.

Bitch also forgot that every passenger is entitled to 7kgs on board, plus I had excess from what I purchased, so I actually did not break the rule.
She just couldnt tally up her math.
So mad I was at the counter.
The dood verifying my weight (luggage) trembled and didn't look at me in the eye.

At the same time, i'll like to point this out a very very bad loophole.
a man who weighs 80kg is allowed up the plane.
a female 40kg up on the plane too.
both pays same price for the ticket.
WTF is this? So EVEN if i'm 2 kg overweight in luggage, i'm making it up for my mass, so how is this unfair?
Anyway, case close. I wore the 2 kg on myself and boarded the plane angry.
I hate you tiger air.
And to that bitch, I hope you tripped on your way to the toilet.
Just because I am travelling alone, and that I look damn damn damn nice to prey on...
doesnt mean that you CAN get AWAY with it.
Chinese calls idiom calls it Dressed like a pig to eat a tiger.
ok done.

Dad changed a hotel for me this time round.
This one's got a starbucks downstairs. :D
and I only needed to cross a huge mega road and get to office.

In the office, I laughed at Cat's catus.
Why does it have such a weird hairstyle?
Dragonball inspired doraemon creature.
Tsk.

My only past time in China.
Massage.
Here I am, waiting to be squished and tenderized.

With the ugly cactus owner/my china nanny/ Cat, my only friend who takes really good care of me.
I heard she nags at daddy about my safety.
That's why I shifted hotel.
The previous one was fine, but she thinks its too far away for me (5 mins cabride vs crossing the road, okay. she win) .
Hahaha.

Waiting to head over to Panyu for a night.
Management meeting, and dad wanted a change of enviroment, so we headed off to Panyu to and visited CX. :D

Up at 6am is not funny.
6am is bedtime for me in Singapore, not rise and shine.
I took this, after finalizing my presentation slides.
#Zombie

10 hours of meeting later, the fun part kicks in.
Headed over to Dad's favourite restaurant, (also Cat's and CX's too.)
heeheehee
I wanted to accompany dad to look at seafood, while he picks them.

I had a doubletake ...
What's a koi doing in the tank??

ermygawd.
Chinese eats koi / carp for dinner.
I'm not eating that sorry. They belong to the pond in japanese gardens and stuff.
Not my tummy please.

This clam is fat and bouncy squishy.
Fresh.
The ones I ate the other day were skinny.
This is definitely picture worthy.

The ribs were also superb.
I'm not a fan of ribs, because I have to gnaw on them, and feel like a dog.
But these are so good, that it's worth being a temporary dog.

Massage time again!
This one's good.
They serve free drinks and food.
I can order and eat as much as I like while i'm being tenderized!

After that, most of the team went back to office, while Cat, min and I embarked on our own trip for the next 3 days!
Mission trip to the textile markets in Guangdong!

Dinner at a hongkong cafe.
Surprisingly decent tasting food by my standards. :D

This has got to be the first church that I walked past in China.
Pretty huh?
Feel like i'm somewhere else actually.

Post textile market shopping, my baby tourister got injured.
:(

The mini van that we took had a little mishap with the back door, and my baby tourister rolled out of the van and bounced onto the road a couple of times.
We screamed! and the driver stopped and ran a good distance to retrieve my luggage.
My mac was in there!

Thankfully, only the luggage was scratched, and an eyemask perished because I left it in the pocket compartment.
Everything else was in perfect condition.

Some cute buttons I picked up at the textile market.
Before heading out to the office...I took a few selfies, because the lighting is good, but I was feeling so....
tired.

Dad brought me to check out our new office.
We bought over this place from its previous owners.
It's ours now!
Place is in pretty good condition, so minimal renovations was required.

This is my soon to be designer center!
and below would be the hallway to our showroom, and warehouse on the second level!

View from my showroom, and there we have
Cat, Dad and kangtao doing some measurement and discussions about how they would like to arrange the warehouse racks for store.
That was not my jurisdiction, so I went trigger happy!

I love love love this apple cider.
It's delicious!
I love this place.
I lovingly refer to this restaurant as pig stomach chicken soup.
I know right.
It sounds like a chicken has been stuffed into the stomach of a pig.
No la. It's just the main ingredient in it.
It taste so good!

This would be me testing out some of our clothes from the collection.
and Cat randomly took pictures of my coordination, for reference to send out to our shop staff.

Love love love the details of the shirt. :D
Coming up in iisa Autumn 2013~

and now!
Preview from my recent trip!
Samples for A/W 2013!
I went around sourcing for accessories for our catalogue photoshoot, and it was great fun, but tiring too!
Also selected my preferred model for the shoot, and did a mini fitting for her.
She's sooooooo pretty.
I feel inadequate being just next to her!
Before I show you how she looks like...

Here's a series of boring preparation stuff prior to the exciting bits.

Wanted a wide brim hat, and because we couldnt lay our hands on a black one, I took matters with my own hands and colored it with a permanent marker.
Total number of markers destroyed?
3!

end product. It looks blackish purplish and Navy in real.

Testing out one of the coordinates with the new belt...

Tibits shopping whenever Im overseas is like my hobby, i'm always hungry.
This was my sad stash, before I discovered the very awesome convenient store.

It's the morning of the photoshoot!
Must dress up!
Otherwise, i'll look super sad next to my gorgeous model!
Outfit of the day.
Forever 21 cropped denim top.
iisa geometric harem pants,
black strappy wedge from heatwave
belt from bugis

Slywia in the midst of make up.

Our accessories... and my black purplish wise brim hat at the bottom left.

Everyone's busy but me... takes selfies again!

Dwarfs at work.
Hahaha...

Camera, lights, action!

Look at the outfit on her, and compare to me wearing it. I feel like a dumpling.

The end!
*phew*
It's been a really lengthy post thus far.
