Finally married!

Congrats to Edwin and Shu Yu for finally being married!
Dinner at Conrad was good, and i had fun taking picture, and stuffing myself with dinner.
As our table had only 7 people, it meant that there was an extra 3 servings lurking around.
So i had 1.5 serving of the appetiser/cold dish, 2 servings of the sharks fin soup, and many more that i can't seemed to remember.

Having attended quite a number of wedding reception and dinners, this is one of the more memorable wedding settings.
From the ambience to the wedding gown, and wedding picture, Shu Yu somehow infused her sense of style into everything.

After all, she has always been a lady of great taste. From the designer gown that she wore, which maintained its elegance, but yet manages to stand out from the countless ones that i have seen in recent years, to the little piece of lace that was pinned on the side of her coiffure, to the wedding album where everything was taken black and white.

I fancy the contrast, the irony of the pictures. Edwin and Shu Yu wearing their gowns, praying in the temple. It's like a total fusion of East meet West, about our ancestors and cultures, making us into who we are today, and how they made Rex their shi tzu the ring bearer in the pictures!

Ah, i guess i'm going too deep into this artistic shot of the entire wedding album, but you get what i mean, definitely one of the better wedding that i will remember by.

The other wedding that left an impact in my memory, would be the one that mom and dad brought Da and i to. I was probably only 5 or 6 years old back then, and the wedding party was held at the now defunct Alkaff Mansion. After the church service, the wedding entourage proceeded to Alkaff Mansion for lunch.

From the garden setting, to the rose scent potporri that each of us get to bring home, the ambience reminded me of english weddings that we often read about in novels. Even the toilet had potporri, and the flowers in the garden were pretty. i guess that it must have cost the newly wedded a bomb.

i need a nude bra!

Having just finished attending Elaine's wedding on the 23rd, i'm now preparing to attend Edwin and Shu yu's wedding at the Conrad on Boxing Day!
Flipping through the wardrobe, i dont seem to have anything to wear!
This ensemble looks pretty enticing, though i'll probably need to worry about my front!

To prevent any wardrobe malfunctions, I'll probably need to get some nipple tapes, or get a nude bra! argh!
Took the picture randomly, so i photoshopped it to hide up all the mess in the room. Cute huh?

Elaine's wedding

We attended a cousin's wedding at the Hyatt. The ambience was superb . Looking at the rose petals spewed all over the table, you kinda get the idea. It was purely roses, roses and more roses. Simple, but pretty.

No doubt, we're very vain people. Since we're all dressed up for the night, it's a crime not to take loads of pictures! Left to right: Da, Michelle, Doreen, and i.

Too bad daddy's unable to make it for the wedding affair! It's been a long time since i last took a picture with him. Looking at the shot that i took with mommy, it's scary to see the semblance of sorts. Yet the funny thing is, i'm supposed to take after daddy, not mommy. Ha!

Time really flies! Cousins after cousins are getting married, and oh gosh! my little brother is turning 13 really soon! It's all happening in a blink!
"the 2 youngest of our lot will be stepping to secondary school really soon!" - that's what i've been saying to my other cousins the entire night!
We are really getting old! *sighs*

We ended up our glam night, horsing around with unglam pictures!
Making stupid poses seemed to be addictive enough.

That's about all the pictures that we've compiled over at our end.
The remaining pictures lies in that very professional and heavy camera that my uncle/cousin owns. Til i lay my hands on them, you'll just have to feast on these then. ciao!

lifts with mirror

Ever wonder what do people really do when they step into the lift, especially lifts with mirror?

Here's our answers to that!

guiness draught

A group shot of us on the first day.. and yes, the uniform looks tacky..

Well, working for Guiness is like doing a cheesy little magic show. We'll "surge" the draught, and show the newly developed foam head to the audience, and if they aren't very toxicated, most of them be really amused, and end up saying "hey, could you do that again?", or just utter a "wow!"

Haha, job perks/entertainment.

But after a litttle while, it gets kind of boring repeating the process over and over again. =)

party after

Well i did it. I actually went for the mango sale, and emerged not only unscathed, but empty handed as well!! Hoo!

So like what i told myself i'd do, i bought myself that spanky $60 dress that i'll been eyeing on!
Yup i tried it on, and i like it. Coz for one, it's not a baby doll dress, and secondly, the colors and prints aren't disgusting for once. It definitely made me a happy girl!
Next on the list, would be the cardigan!!

I dropped by council's gathering at The changing appetite, after i was done shopping. I didnt really want to go, but Zoe made me. Ah well, stopping by made me realise how much i was done with the student council, ignoring the people that are such total turn offs, and kinda missing the innocent bunch of people, that no matter what you do, only sees the best side of you, and never bother judging or do any finger pointing.

Unlike some gender crisis bitch, like how i'd like to say. Who totally ignored my presence, plays politics, despite how she'll like to deny, and accuse others of the politics playing deed.

Urgh, thinking about it is such turn off. But like what i'd like to say always, Karma has a way round. From the way i see it, people who bullies or hurt me in one way or another - all that hurting will get back to them one way or another. (i've seen it happen many a times, especially recent years, and when karma gets back to them, i feel kinda sad for them... i'm being sacarstic...but so what?!)

So like what "earl" would say, do good, and good things happens to you. Do bad, and just wait for Karma to unfold. Haha.
What the heck is Earl? It's a sitcom, and a real funny one that i enjoy watching. Too bad it's only season one that i've caught. Season three or four is out already.

Anyway, back to the council topic, i'm actually GLAD that i'm responsibility free now, and all i do with most of my free time, would either be working, spending time with the boo, slack at home, or chill out with friends.

In fact, going out seemed to be a chore... all that face painting, dressing up, and going out preparations seemed to be too much a hassle! I did some room reorganising, packed up my millions of accessories, neatened up my crazy messy wardrobe, threw out some weird smelling make up gunk that probably expired eons ago, and i'm back to doing what i'm most happy at - Handicrafts.

Yup, beading, accessories making, random modification done to my old garments, and gift wrapping, and paper crafts is my absolute favourite!

It isn't funny, but what most people dont realise is that, i'm pretty much a homely person, who's really happy with the simplicities of life .. it's just that my slightly wild exterior creates an impression otherwise.
Haha! i got you fooled, didnt i?

Being busy..

I've been busy entertaining myself with silly stuff...

> 1. i've done up the christmas tree again.
when we bought the tree a few years back, i insisted on having purely gold and nothing else for the tree.
So we go, gold ball decors, gold lights, gold star and so on..

Now years later, pure gold doesnt seem to appeal to my yearly fancies anymore. So i've added... red into the picture, to spruce up the monotonous color scheme. =)

There's the red hearts, and the red butterflies, and red roses..

oh and there's also my favourite vintage angel! This vintage angel has been around ever since i could remember having a christmas tree at home, and it used to be my most favourite onarment for the old tree. Naturally the prettiest ornament gets to sit right on the top of the tree. Unfortunately, despite having a fondness for my pretty vintage ornament, it longer holds the centerstage of the tree, coz of it's age and size. The old tree used to be my height when i was 5. The new tree is standing at the a height that's taller than me! Well you get the picture, lest i bore you with boring debates and opinions about proportion..

>2. Cheapskate online spree!
Da and i have been oogling at cheap buys online, and so we're spree-ing alittle with yahoo taiwan site, the basic stuff starts at a price range of 100yuan onwards. i've managed to get 6items at 100yuan each. It works out to be 30SGD for everything!

Bought a few items in yahoo.sg as well, like a cheap brand new dress that's going for $5.50, a graffitti camisole at $15, as well as a korean drama show - original one at $20plus . I'm not telling what show it is, coz i intend to be selfish. When it comes to lending people my movie VCD/DVD, they never manage to come back, so too bad.

>3. Went to Daiso with Zoe and i bought a couple of stuff at 2 bucks each. Fake eye lash and christmas decorations are some of it.

Have been shopping around quite abit at Bugis, and nothing seems to catch my eye much. All the dresses either look like musty floral curtains from grandma's storeroom, or bits from animal's skin. Not that i hate animal prints or floral designs, but with every shop carrying multiple pieces of prints and dresses of the same design, it's certainly too much for me to bear.
The dresses are horrid, and i feel pregnanted wearing them, and worst of all, these yucky stuff are going at absurb prices! Argh, so frustrating!

Frustrated enough, i bought myself a mini sewing machine, only to have the sewing machine breakdown after 1 hour's worth of sewing. Yes, with the current collection hanging around the racks of retail stores, it's bad enough for me want to sew my own pieces.

i'll at least have a say in the cut, material and color of what i'll be wearing!
But like what i mentioned, the sewing machine broke down within an hour, so i completed nothing, and i refunded the item for money. I like industrial machines better! Big and tough, i so miss my TP days!

STOP! Enough of my cheapo shopping!
Now back to reality..
- i'm still in love with this moshi moshi ring that i laid my eyes on before exams. Only reason why i am not buying it, is because i've got too many rings, and i only fancy wearing rings on certain specific fingers, so i'm trying not to waste money!!

- psychedelic dress, it's really colorful and bright, and it cost like, $60 or $70. I'm contemplating buying it soon, especially if i emerge empty handed from the soon to apprach mango sale.
I've refrained myself from trying on the dress, or i'll lose all dignity of self control. Haha.

- The Lver cardigan that i've set my eyes on, i love asymetric stuff, and it's interesting. Since it's christmas season, i'm hanging around, waiting to see if there would be any christmas promotion going on.

What makes things worst would be the fact that my pay from Lucido.l is sitting happily in the bank! Nothing is stopping me from buying up everything that i fancy, except for the self restraint that i'm practising. Ah, i guess we will just have to wait and see how long, before i falter.

pikipimp!

The word goes.. apparently, Lance (da's friend), told Da about the site, and Da showed me the site, and ta da!

I added silly stuff onto the picture!
The site entertained me for hours! I've always wanted to add a pair of reindeer antler on little pix!e, but i highly suspect that she'll end up being cross with me...so i've finally found the perfect solution! ho ho ho. She's cute ya?

hair wax museum + hair styling experiment

The cute thing about working for a hair product company is that, you get loads of freebies, to test and experiement. And judging from my little pile of growing collection.. i think i'm getting a rather good start, if i ever intend to start a "hair wax museum". But i do like them... it's definitely fun experimenting with your hair, especially when it turns out cute and nice.

See I told you i did style my hair! I went to curl my hair outwards, with my crimping iron - and i'm totally thrilled by the movement of my hair, definitely an interesting result for beginners! I'm actually thinking of investing in curling irons... only that i know i'll probably end up being too lazy to style my hair every morning, when school starts!

Now that i've got all this products hanging around my room, i'm trying to make a conscience effort to style my hair before going out.

Oh well, til the next hair experiement then. =)

Various hairstyles

Well the entire fun thing that i got out from working for Lucido.l the past 7 days, was to enjoy the various hairstyling done by Reds Salon Bugis for seven whole days!
Some of the hairstyles were pretty easy to catch, some didn't quite agree with me, but still definitely an experience for me, and i made a few friends that i'll bother to keep in touch, which - in my case, is usually a rare sight.

Some entertaining things that happened to us...

Funny fact #1
People kept commenting that i look japanese (which i assume is due to the fact that Lucido.l IS a Japanese brand), and they thought that Lucido.l flew me in from japan, just for the road show.

Funny fact #2
People also kept thinking that zoe was the japanese model in the dolly hair look, which we both thought was hilarious, coz if Zoe is indeed the model, it would cost the company quite abit of money to fly her in just to do the roadshow.

Funny fact #3
Random customer asked Zoe if the glossy spray could be used for their dog's hair. We were like kinda dumbfounded at the thought of using hair products on dogs! Poor thing.

ahhh i think that's about all the funny facts that i could recall for now.

cheers!
