Crash, Wham, i'm up!

Life's amusing no matter how routined my days can turn out to be.
I was rudely woken up by a loud crash today!
Apparently mom was nice to unknot the curtain, so that the sun wouldnt get into my eyes!
The newly unleashed curtain took a wild swing along with the wind and wham!
My fan fell to the floor, my stack of post-its scattered on the floor, and my ipod nano box missing! I had to crawl up from bed and put everything back into place, run downstairs to look for my nano box (warranty and installation cds are in it), and the box is still missing after making 2 trips down for a search! How can?!
Can the wind really hurl the box so far until it's out of the estate?

Well that's certainly a new way of waking up to... a new day, isn't it?

Anyway, with Da back from New York, im kinda glad that there's someone that i could talk to to maintain my sanity.
The last few weeks was insane la!
With Da and Adi both away about the same time, my anchor support group was gone!
Quacks and Ben were really busy with their life, a.k.a Work, so they claim, and it was just me, the mother and the toilet contractors and alot of Zoe, daniel and Cae (thank god!).
Life is soooooooo bad man! I lost count of the number of time i could have broke into tears just out of sheer frustration caused by boredom and mother tension!

Thing is, Da's back with loads of shopping, and i've got cute skeleton rubber wraps for my keys, thongs, cute jumpers and cosmetic from NY!
And she also said that i shouldn't have wimped out on getting that new earhole. Bummer!

Adi's due back on the 4th! Yippers!
I'm sooooo looking forward to my Airflown Babi Guling from Bali, and all that other bonus stuff that he's is gonna bring back compliments from P&G! Hurhurhur!
I'm actually looking forward to bitching more than anything else, and just based on the number of sms alone that i've sent to him today... i think Mr Wibowo is gonna cry when his phone bill comes along! - what to do, that's the price of being my Best Bitching Friend.
I am an expensive friend la.
Besides he's like the rare few who takes all my complaints really seriously, even if it's just a misplaced strand of hair. Hahahahha.
*
Seriously, everyone's taken their chance to travel but me.
Da went to LA, then Desaru and now New York and back,
Adi in Bali/Jakarta,
Zoe's left for Hong Kong this morning,
Crix, Alan Rachel and Marieann left and came back from Bali already, and even the ever busy Quacks had a short trip to Bintan loh!
What about poor me??

No one's free or got enough spare cash to go with me. Gah!
Not forgetting how picky i can be when it comes to company.

good crabs chips tooth

Here i am, sitting around, hoping that blogging would be the activity that would cause the least damage onto my freshly painted nails, because I've already ruined my right ring finger from my trip to the toilet :(

I once asked Audrey what's the secret to keeping ur freshly painted nails safe while waiting for it to dry...and her answer to me was "sit still lo".
Wha! I just cannot sit still and do nothing!

I'm like a super fidgety girl la, everyone can probably vouch for that!
Gah!

And my left eye's been undergoing some very persistent twitching at the lower bit since i woke up on Monday, and it is already wednesday! Grrr! and im not superstitious - i refuse to believe that anyone's going to die.
*

Now that bathroom renovation is 90% completed, I spent tuesday accompaning mom to Ikea to get bathroom accessories, and i'd say that the loot we brought home wasn't too bad!

The ikea trip inspired me to clean up and beautify the house alittle, and i went about to do some paint touch up for the bathroom ceiling that looks like it's abt like it's rotting - the aftermath of a malfunctioning leaking heater that made me fear for my life everytime i take a shower. Well that got replaced during our recent bathroom renovation, so now i shower in peace!

I also hung up my new shower curtain, because the old one didnt survive the renovation, and went on to clean up all the dust bunnies that miraculously gathered at the corner of my room. Reorganising the shelves and my bags, i now realise that i've forgotten quite a bit of my precious bags that i used to bring around in the past! :D
*
Was messing around in my room (well so much for packing up) and i was called out for supper!
ZS was whining over the phone about how he hasnt seen me for the longest time, and so.... they (Zoe and ZS) made Kenrick come pick me up for supper.
It's been so long that i last saw ZS and Kenrick, that i almost forgot how funny ZS's wisecracks can be.

We laughed our way over to Uncle Leong's coffee shop for crabs at Ang Mo Kio, and i tell you, the crabs are totally TO DIE FOR la! I was consuming the butter sauce by the spoonful, and that got Kenrick and Jared pretty amused. Aside from the butter crabs, the Crab beehoon soup and their famous fried tofu tasted decently delicious too, cept that the favourite dish of the night would be that butter sauce that i kept slurping!
Everyone kept asking me if i wanted to take a last mouthful of butter sauce before we leave, or if i'd like to bring the entire plate home to lick it clean. -_-"
But yes, i like it THAT much. hurhurhuruhr.

In the car, Jared suddenly became very very very quiet, and suddenly declared that he think he's chipped his front tooth! Everyone turned over to stare at his teeth, and OMG! It's tragic and yet sooooo funny! A corner of his front tooth is gone!

Everyone started laughing in the car, and Zoe was like asking ZS and i, if we have any dentist to recommend to Jared. Tragic tragic.

Well i think the crabs are to die for because they are soooooooo good, and meeting Jared for the first time, he chipped his tooth over crabs, i'd say that good crabs chips the tooth!
Hazardous good food!
*
I think it's been more than a good whole 5 mins, my nails are unscathed, except for the few holes caused by the impact of the keyboards.
I think i'm fated not to have beautiful nails la :(

Dark knight and Guinness 9 Ball Tour

Talk about perfect timing, i spent my later half of monday having relatively bad cramps.

With the usual shiver, cold sweat and feeling weak enough to die, and not forgetting the cramp itself...
I missed the 5.40pm drinking session at Emerald hill between Cae and Zoe, missed the dinner at Crystal jade korean restaurant with the 2 ladies + KL and Daniel, but made it in time for the movie Batman - The dark knight, which was supposed to be the highlight anyway.

After last Saturday's movie - Prom night, i really couldnt ask for better!
Christian Bale is still charming, and eye candy aside, i really enjoyed all the Bat gadgets used in the movie!
*
I've been pretty tied down by the Guinness 9 Ball Tournament event for the past few days, and it's been really quite exciting to be working despite being physically exhausted from all that smiling and standing!

As usual, pictures are every where in everyone elses' camera but mine, and i'll require lots of time to consolidate them.
So far i've only gotten picture from Sally's camera, and poolkhakis.com but they'll do fine for now! Zoe hasn't found the energy, time, or mood to load up hers, and i'd say the bulk pictures for the past 4 days is still in her camera loh.

Yiling and i

From left to right, Yiling, Sally, Daphne and Evonne
Left to right, we have Lyndith, Daphne and Evonne
Must at least take a picture of myself with the guinness backdrop, and so here we go, Daphne in her Black Fox uniform. This is like my new favourite uniform! Heeheehee
Evonne and i were tasked to be wall flowers/ vase as part of the prize giving ceremony.
I was incharge of holding the trophy, while she holds onto to the mock cheque of USD 15,000.
Well that gave me the opportunity to sit in for the last match between Alex Pagulayan and Dennis Occolo, both from Phillipines. I was secretly rooting for Alex because i think he's friendlier! He bothered to smile and say hello to me, when we met face to face at the restroom during break time.

Given the opportunity to sit through the final match and watched it live with the table and players right smacked in front of me, hahaha, you have no idea how deadly accurate Alex is.
His control of the ball and ball placement is amazing, and i have no clue how he actually did it! The ball is like SUPER Obedient and intuitive - for the lack of a better description with words.
Alright, i shall stop swooning over my new pool idol, but i found THIS!
You could either load and watch it here, or click on the link above to navigate over to the ESPN website.

Video clip from the ESPN, Star sports featuring Daphne as the "vase" in the back drop. I smiled til i can smile no more.... and my cheek muscles were wavering. and that's about all for now.

*inserts Big Smile*

Prom night the movie - a hilarious horror.

Today's probably one of the most hilarious horror movie that i've sat through.
Met Cae, Dan and Zoe after my event for Guinness 9ball, for dinner, coffee/tea, drinks and movie.

So happened that Cae's caught most of the movies, leaving us with only 3 movie choice - P2, Wedding daze and Prom night. We were deciding on the movie choice of Wedding daze and prom night (based on how it sounds, with no freaking clue what each movie is about )at the queue, when Zoe had to be on the phone with Benny, and Stupid Benny just had to highly recommend Prom night to us, telling us that Prom night's a mix of comedy and romance. Awesome!

While i was cheering for wedding daze, we eventually settled for Prom night.
I swear my heart sank when i walked past the prom night advertorial prop - a cardboard cupboard hiding a knife. Sigh doesnt quite seem like the "mix of comedy and romance" that Benny talked about leh. *eyebrows*

Seriously la, i hate to watch cheap thrill movies with minimal story line that is constantly punctuated with cheap suspense. Entire show left Zoe and i huddling in a sad corner shrieking and hiding behind a shawl for comfort. My goodness! Cae and Daniel had a good time watching us instead of the show. Thinking about it again, just caused a series of uncontrollable laughter from me. It is so funnny, because through out the show, i kept turning over to Zoe and said "Kanasai" (meaning "like shit" in dialect), peppering with "stupid benny", and "argggghh!"

While Zoe kept swearing that she'll have a heart attack soon.
I cant decide which is scarier, us grabbing each other when in suspense, or the suspense of the movie, with me constantly muttering stuff like "if i were the lady, i would be wiser and not enter the room to get myself killed". Well i am wimpy when it comes to muder and gory movies.

We were really noisy throughout the movie, and I broke into bouts of uncontrollable laughter the moment the movie ended. I just couldnt help myself. Hahahhahaha.
I laughed myself to the restroom, and Zoe called Benny up to scream at him. She was in a half crying, half angry voice when talking to him. Tonight's just so funny for me.

Cae and Daniel kept scaring Zoe about someone lurking around after she's done washing her face. OMG, you should so see her expression and the way she kept cursing and swearing.

I'm so tired from all the working, laughing and catching up.
Bed time soon, and shall upload the pictures from Guinness 9ball event soon!
Night!

relaunching my earhole

On a whim and fancy, i nearly gotten myself new ear holes!
Then 2 minutes later, i decided that i was alittle too old for silly thrills like this.
Besides i've always been quite a wimp when it comes to pain, needles and blood, and this time round, we're talking about the bony parts of my ear...
i've decided to squirrel out of it.
The shop fella and zoe kept egging me on.
Sigh i do have rather enthusiatic people surrounding me!

Well well, i'm nursing a ear wound nonetheless, as free piercing services came along with those surgical steel heartshape studs that i've selected (its after all the only ones that doesnt cause my skin to react), so i thought to myself, why not get that half closed earhole of mine fixed up?
After all, the only reason why it became half closed was because silver earrings were making me itch, and it's too symbolic to let it close up. Gah.

But we'll leave the granny stories for another day, ya?

Cute wednesday and Doggles!

A new pet grooming shop sprang up at my place!
Momsy came back from her dance lessons and told me about 2 cute little doggles being groomed in the new shop. Being pesky and nosy, the bro and i ventured downstairs to take a peek!
Hurhurhur!
Im shy to venture into the shop to play with the dogs, and i've seen cuter dogs around.
*
Aha! Was helping Jackson to check stuff on the school portal and i discovered that i actually have my very own school email account! Since when did that happen?!
Even Weirong (who's still in school) didnt know about it when i told him on msn la! Damn proud discovery!
my school account is zlee003@sim.edu.sg (have not the slightest idea why there's a 003, but zlee is definitely initials!)
So amazing right?! I'm sooooo tickled by it la.
But please dont mail me stuff there... coz i've only got a habit of checking my gmail, i dont have THAT much time to check 3 accounts aday. Just one would do.
*
Hanging around the canteen during lunch time seem to be my latest fad.
and it was great seeing old friends who're still in school, as i try hard to convince people to join salsa - especially for the guys who seem to think that salsa is for sissies.
In fact they are sooooo wrong! That's where they meet all the hot girls who can dance la!
Hurhurhurhur!
*
right, heading off for dance prac soon, and my new brown eyes arrived by post today!
My wednesday has been amusing so far! Yay!

pool and random rattles

I met Ben for an imprompt pool session today! :D
Bugger told me that the reason why he's out is because Carbal server is having maintenance! That's right, I feeeel sooooooo appreciated as his friend right now!
Better not get me started on my long list of complaints!

Pool session was wonderful today!
For starters, i hurt my foot when i opened the glass door. It does look like a minor scratch, but it hurts even 9 hours after! The edge of the glass door took quite a chunk of my foot and now i am afraid to take a bath!

I later ended the game session by injuring my right pinky finger while i was packing the pool balls into the ball platter. That instant throbbing pain was to die for, and i left the place with a swollen pinky.

Well whining aside, my progress at the game was not too bad today though. I think i'm actually improving (after 4 months!)!
*dabs tears that glistens the corner of my eyes*
After all that $ that i've invested into my new found interest, i'd better improve!

I insisted that i should get a video of Ben doing his thing, and I am also secretly training to learn how to execute that amazing break, so that when Adi's back from stirring pond in Bali, i can.... Muahahahaha! ... Show off. Lol.

Well i'm easily amused, and its always nice to learn new party tricks what.
*
The Best friend forever phone!
Hahaha, as if!
He bought his at a whim and fancy, and i got mine because of another type of whim and fancy.

But i think that mine's still prettier! At least from the back! :D

I Dropped by union after dinner to fulfill my weekly social dancing quota (because gary said so last sunday), and it's already been a habit to drop by with Ricky, Chen Mun, Natalie, Adi and a few less constant others at least once a week.
Constant practising seems to be the only answer to improvement!
As i am after all still pretty far from my own target that i set at the start of the year, and i am definitely NOT a quitter. Hurhurhur.

While waiting for the arrival of the others that came from Studio, the early birds decided to camwhore!
Audrey cut off her long hair and now sports a very chic bob, and it makes her look so cute! Now we have similar hair length, only that her hair's tamer and chic-er than mine, while i continue my love hate relationship with that pesky curl.
So happened that we're both wearing grey pants, and our first pair of dance shoes, and they happen to be glittery gold! Think back, it feels as if it really wasn't too long ago since i first started Salsa!
But OMG! It's been 1.5 years already, and i'm still dancing like a dork. Sigh.
Lastly was fooling around at the underpass exit before i catch my last bus home!
Turns out that... i missed the last 174 home, and had to settle for the next best last bus home and walk alittle!
What to do, i'm learning to be cheapo and frugal now because i'm on project cut back for my own good. Not that i can't afford to spend, but it's time that i learn to manage my funds better.

On a side note, my beloved blanket is finally back from the wash, and i'm looking forward to bed time! You'll never know how cold and clammy it's been for me, for the past few days! I didn't even dare to turn on the air condition.
I kept shivering, even after a long hot bath, shivered on the bus when i had my jacket on, shiver when i drink water, well u get the shivering idea, and i might just shiver myself to death! (Choy! choy! choy!) I'll like to attribute my very weak physical state to the lack of proper and comfortable sleep.
Yup, so it'll be a good night tonight!

xoxo

Being an ENFP truely.

I was about to sleep, when i realised that momsy beat me to it! ARggh, and she will so not be thrilled to find out that i left the working men alone to their own devices - Not that there's anything valuable around anyway.

Since i was in school earlier, i decided to drop by my beloved locker of 4 years, to clear my stuff away! I chanced upon some empty Myer Briggs Type Indicator test that was left behind (usually my kind ones like Robin or Mr Tin tin, who collects lecture notes for me when i'm not around). Besides i've always taken the personality test online... so why not fill up the hard copy version just for kicks? I thought to myself.

Well turns out that i'm through and through an ENFP still.
The Extraversion, iNuition, Feeling, Perceiving personality.
Googled for a few intrepretations, and most of the description traits seems to fit me like a Tee, and it kind of made me clap in glee and amazement!

The ENFP is often linked to key words like inspirer and visionary, and some of the write up can be found here and here as well!
Heeheehee!

photoshoot #1

The house is currently going through a slight renovation, where we have old toilet floor tiles being hacked away, coupled with drilling, hammering and squeaky sound. The combination gave me a headache, and all these will last until (hopefully) thursday, and we're talking about a very very small toilet.
I guess i'll need to find programs and activities to stay away from home like real fast!
*
I woke up really early for a photoshoot earlier at Sentosa, and i am feeling really zoned out and sleepy now. Unfortunately for me, i have to try to stay awake to supervise the renovation alittle, whilst the mommy tend to her toilet time.

The photoshoot turned out to be pretty fun, and it was not as tiring as i have expected it to be.
Posing in the the sand gave me slightly sore knees and elbows as i kneeled and elbowed in the same pose/position for a good long time. I am definitely looking forward to the pictures, and i hope they look as nice as what i previewed on the camera LCD. Heeheehee.

The entire process was cut short by the heavy drizzle, and i headed over to school to help out at the Salsa recruitment booth in school.
*
Saturday
I went on a last minute shopping spree to get Cherri a birthday present, before heading over to her party.
I had a horrible time fretting about her present, and after much thought and debate, i decided on an Agnes B Key chain - after all, who DOESN"T need keys? Hehheh.
Here we go, the package that's holding her keychain..

the key chain/ key ring itself!
and a little something that i bought for myself!
Meet my newest little bling, the bag charm!
For convenience, i decided to use it as a wallet charm to match the G-star wallet that i had for my birthday! :D
They look pretty cute together! (that's what i call self deception, biased perception, and a warped female point of view) John reckons that i'm obsessed with my new bling toy, because i kept transferring the bag charm from my bag to my wallet! Hahahha!
I actually saw an exact version in gold with green embedded crystal that reminded me alot of Audrey. But alas,i'm not rich....if not i'll sure get that for her.

I call this the antique gold with violet crystal B charm!

It's definitely a splurge, but it has been a really long time since i last bought myself something nice, and because i was not impulsive, the lightning series that i really fancied were gone in a flash! (hahha, yup pun intended)
So i'd better hurry up buy the second favourite bag charm la! If not later regret again, and how people always say that life is full of regrets?
I'll think that the more one hesitates, or adapts the wait and see style (ie discount, sale and what if something better comes up ), the more regrets there will be to life. This theory applies to both shopping and life! Hurhurhur.

*
Fooling around in the estate toilet of Peach Garden!
Before we left Cherri's party, Audrey wanted to go toilet, but the toilet door of the stalls were really short, exposing alot of the head and legs. woohoo!
So i pretended to pee, and made Audrey take a picture of me looking surprised.
The short door discouraged Audrey from her toilet business despite my constant reassurance that i wouldn't sneak a peek.
Meeehh, But she does not trust me, and only went back when i started talking to the boys outside the toilet. :(

Post party, i was making my way out for supper, when i chanced upon Mr Big and Mr Small snail!
So cute right?! I've always made a conscious effort to avoid stepping on snails, because i think they are kinda poor thing. Imagine, they've already tried their hardest to slime quickly to their destination, but oops someone stepped on them and next thing you know, they are dead. :S
I've always got this huge urge to yank them off the ground and fast forward their destination by 10cm or something! Hurhurhur.... but what if the snail was actually in the midst of doing a U-turn to change direction, and after a hard day's effort of making direction change, i brought them back to square one again?! Not quite sure if im helping them or harming them, so i've decided to refrain from messing around with nature. Gah, this is getting too Random eh?

Mom's out and Hair's dry, im heading for a well deserved nap!
Oogy Wawa!

Escalator!

Friday
For a day that did not start off too well, my day ended better than i'd have expected! Firstly I met Zoe for my dinner/her supper, and had a good chat! It's been a long time since that the 2 of us had time to chat so much without the presence or interruption of other friends!

On our way to deciding on our next undecided destination, we chanced upon Ruyi, Fel and their other friends at Macdonalds right outside Lido! Meeting the girls is like adding rainbow sprinkles onto my happy icecream!
I last saw them was like 2-3 years ago in school, and i am thrilled to see them, after all it is always nice to see a friend doing well, beaming and radiating happiness... aiyah, dont quite know how to explain that, but we spent a good time catching up! :D
*
Zoe decided that she needed soup, so instead of Clark Quay, we headed over to Cineleisure for Borsch soup, meal #2.
and on our way there, she suggested that we play with the escalator!
Hahahha! I havent done stupid things with her for the longest time, and it's really quite fun!
While we were at it, we've met about a hundred drunkards, a lady piggy bagging another lady down the escalator, some lady boys and foreign women escorting their erm "partners" to where ever.

Doing our silly things, i really miss our good old days, where we were both were still in school, exploring the most random things ever. Now that our different directions and commitment in life gives us lesser time and energy to rot and do imprompt stuff, it really makes our silly memories cuter. I realised how much we've both grown up (not physically but mentally and emotionally?), with so many stupid laugh and cry situations that we shared.

It's probably like the escalator. Life is full of ups and downs, but if you stop and look around, you'll realise how much you've missed out on or forgotten to appreciate, in your quest for the motion (rat race) in life.

Yes, i'd say that Miss Lee is feeling particularly philosopical tonight.

Was playing pool with the boys on monday, and being hungry people, we ended up eating dinner at Pasta de Waraku at Central because it was nearby.
I was feeling alittle bored, so i decided to be adventurous, and ordered myself a the squid ink pasta!
It looked something like this, only that it was filled with squid and tomatoes instead of a dried chilli... too hungry to bother with pictures la..

Only remembered to take a picture of my remnants just to gross people out! Aha!
But if you ask me, it looks like remnants of a mud pie dessert or something!...so there's also the teeth stain..and Leon's constant reminder to wipe my mouth (poor dude was facing me, so i think black mouth kinda gross him out) Hahahha...
Not too bad was it? Squid ink pasta! :D
Oh, and i have to thank Adi for buying Leon and i dinner despite the lack of an occasion.
I secretly think that he's celebrating for the fact that he's finally able to graduate along with us, and the fact that he is going to Bali for holiday, and many more! Hahahaha.
*
Was working for Tiger beer for the event Major League Eating.
My job was to serve the VIPs beers, but i guess no one turned up...so Sindy (my partner) and i spent the entire night watching the process of the eating competition. It IS soooooo gross to watch people gobble down the food.
First round was to eat as much Old Chang Kee curry puffs as possible within 8 minutes.
Towards the end, we have a guy who churned out lots of well blended puffs from his mouth.
Sindy and i nearly gagged along with him . Gross!

Next round, there was Carls Junior burger... with 12 minutes to finish up, with no puking casualties.

Third round was... 2 kg of Otah to be finished in 12 mins, and we had yet another puking fella. Watching Otah coming out like a merlion or fountain is grosser than watching curry puffs fall out la. Urgh!

The final round was Satay, and there was no casualties.
No food lover would resort to such drastic measures of eating loh.
All these was organised in conjunction with the Singapore Food Festival and Robertson Walk.
When we were done watching the food competition, there was also a pretty good live band, along with fire gobbler, belly dancer, and a clown/juggler, and a plate of nasi briyani each that the boss of Queen's Tandoori offered to us.

It was good fun and atmosphere, but a little difficult to kill time!
Nonetheless, we had a good time working together...
Oh and that's our new Tiger beer T-shirt! It's kinda cute, but the shoulders of the tee seem alittle small for the both of us! Lol!

Just heard that daddy's going to be back for my convocation. Wow!
My Convocation date is as follow:

Date: 29 Aug 2008 (friday)

Time: 3-5pm for the boring ceremony
5-6pm for the tea reception.

Venue: The grand hall at SIM headquarters
Atrium at SIM headquarters for the food bit.

Hahahahha it's a love hate situation that i have with graduating, and i love it because i am finally done with school, but i hate it because i have yet to find a job to silence every other nagging fella that i meet. Shut up people!

Blinged HTC touch and silly prac pictures

There you go! a short picture update!
Pictures of the En Motion girls during one of our sunday dance trainings, when we girls were trying to split sideways.
Somehow Edward thought it made a good picture moment! Cute right?
It's kinda sad though, as I am no longer as flexible as i used to be! *sobs*
Gone were the days i could stand by the barre and hold my legs straight next to my head!
I can barely hold my legs slightly higher than 90 degrees now!
Boo hoo! I am indeed getting old, despite how i'd like to think that i'm still mentally young!
*i think Gary's trying to do his popping and locking motions while looking into the mirror!
Next, we have my still rather new HTC touch! I blinged it up, and it now has a pretty black crystal lightning! *big grin* This picture made it look as if it is a real lightning! (Yes, in case you are wondering, i painstakingly stuck everyone of the crystals onto the phone! )
Now if only the flash reflection is positioned right at the end of the lightning, instead of the middle, so that it would create the illusion of the HTC logo being struck by lightning!
Ahhh well, i guess it's just me and my usual imagination! Heee!

picture updates july 2008

Since i'm quite in the mood to upload and update pictures, here's another few million pictures of myself! *yawn* so bear with me la! *cackles with laughter*
Long Time ago...1st July
Here we go, Daphne with Grey Fedora hat during orientation.
I was helping to mend the Salsa club's booth, and secretly i was there because i soooooo badly wanted to camwhore with the grey felted fedora (Yah right!). I was actually in school for 2 good reasons, first would be to get people to sign up for salsa classes, and secondly to get my very colorful testimonial filled up and verified by the student care services, so that my resume will look nice when i actually go for interview?

Tuesday
I went to get my hair bling-ed! If you could spot the measely tinsel strands on the right side of my hair! I went around telling everyone that i have hair that is as pretty as "My Little Pony's" tail! Hurhurhuhur! One of my very bimbotic moment i guess!
Well, figure out that i'll hardly have any chance to play with my hair anymore, now that i'm no longer a student...so bimbotic moment or not, i savour my hair freedom!
can't quite tell that i have tinsels on eh?
Wednesday
Mambo at Zouk, the day where apparently the mambo fanatics battled out at a competition to clinch the title of mambo king/queen. Thankfully, i missed out on that bit by the time i reach Zouk. Since it was retro night, i thought that my purple toga with sparkly stars seem like it was really appropriate!

I cannot remember when was the last time i dropped by Mambo, and i'd like to blame it on the weekly dance trainings on Wednesday nights. It's after all so much easier to just skip mambo and abandon the wednesday friends and head home, as I simply couldnt muster the energy to dress up for clubs after a gruelling session of dance practise!

Well apparently someone's gotten himself a new Canon camera, and decided to try out the functions of the camera over supper .... so here we go, Daphne as the guinea pig for effect "vivid red "
That's right, the red of the red welcome carpet seem so much more happening than the standing subject la! *frowns* Determined to show off more effect, we have a posed giggling daphne, and there was supposed to be a sepia mode picture, but i dont know why crix didnt sent it to me. :S
There's my candid talking side profile, where i think i was chatting with either Rachel or Marie ann... and in this picture, i really just want to show off my tinsel strands!
Can you spot them?
Thursday

I was Batman's sidekick for the night, while Robin takes a breather from his sidekick job.
Hahaha!
In truth, it's work work at Clark Quay - where the launch party for the Martini Festival organised by the Martini Inner City was held. 21 days worth of martini related events held in Singapore.
I was representing Bacardi, and therefore the shapeless Bat logo dress.
I never knew there were THAT many Martinis available. My very limited martini dictionary consists only of Lychee martini, Chocolate martini, Tiramisu Martini and those that comes with the yucky olives! Urgh.
Kat took this picture of me, while i was taking a break.
Funny enough, i saw quite a number of people that i've met from work. Amazing that Singapore is really THAT small.

Friday
I miraculously arrived for work earlier than expected. Since i had waaay too much time to spare, might as well take some pictures with this new uniform! Want to make a guess what uniform i'm wearing?! Tee heeee hee..
The colors alone are a dead giveaway!
It's Heineken! Uniform is Air stewardess inspired, but i feel more like a present sitting under the christmas tree. With that huge bow on my neck, how could i not feel like a present?!
But still, it's cute! i've always enjoyed wearing Heineken's uniform, and at least it is different from the draught keg promotion uniforms that Da and i have worn to death!

That's all for now! hope no one got blinded from this narcissistic entry of mine.
xoxo!

psst! I'm sisterless for the next 3 weeks! Da has officially migrated over to New York for SMU's Business Studies trip. Yay! a room to myself for 3 whole weeks!
That, and i also need suggestions of what i could get her to buy for me from NY!

mambo performance video

Posting up the video... it took a freaking long time to get this up la!!!
I can spot a million and one mistakes that i made, but i still think it's a pretty good performance anyway! Hah!
and if i were you, i'll ignore annabel francis's shrilly voice and stop the video after that! :D

clap! clap! clap! clap!
That's what the clappers are for anyway!

Clap! Performance at Far East

Last Friday's performance for Street Clap! At Far East Plaza turns out to be pretty fun! I actually spent more time dressing up than performing, and this time, i had evil eyes! The fiercest of the lot - i'd say (what to do.... my eye's the smallest amongst the 3 of us.. hurhurhur)
I made the most mistakes during the performance, and i guess as usual, i could have been alot better :D But definitely a good experience!
Here we go, pictures, pictures! Group shot of us, the girls looking glam as usual, and the guys *haiz* looking anything but glam.

John and I - our first time performing together as partners.. My strange jump, i was supposed to fly.... but alas, i thought he wanted me to jump! But looks kinda cool eh? This shot looks a little weird here, but that was exactly what John wanted me to do, only to kick higher...and the camera wasn't quick enough to capture me in a better jump pose, so you would really have to view the performance to kinda understand what i'm trying to do here... What's a performance without audience right? I'm pleased to know that many people who matter turned up! For starters, there's Mommy who turned up with the little brother, and my sister who turned up with Mark !
I was so excited about the performance that i forgot to take a picture with my family la! :( . Family aside, there's also Mr Wibowo, a.k.a Aditya....
He was my official videographer for the performance.. Gary.. Of course he has to be here la! What's our performance going to be like, without Gary the instructor, chereographer, the monster who made us repeat over and over and over again during practise, the guy who made the performance happened!
So we have Mr Macho who's attempting to act cool/throw a punch at a very pleased Daphne..
Lynn! She's helped to point out all the silly mistakes that i make during our trainings together.. :D and all the others from the En Motion that made it there, like Jaymz, who also contributed his camera and took a video of our performance,
Sally, who gave us a lift from studio to Far East!
Eddie, who helped and gave pointers to us pre performance, and there's also Charmaine with her boyfriend, and another lynn, thank you for dropping by!
Im more than thrilled to see everyone there! Thank you! Muah!!

Performance may be over in a matter of minutes, but i brought home a huge lump of bruise as a sourvenir, a hug bruise behind my left calf! Can you see it? I think i must have kicked myself really hard in the calf during practise when we were attempting the stunt! You can even see the scratch mark that my heel left. It hurts!!! Meeeh! It's slowly fading away though..
I sneaked 3 cute clappers that clap! They were giving them out during the performance, so i helped myself to the clappers?!
I spent most of the time playing with the clappers at the back stage, and it kinda drove everyone nuts from it. Hee, I'll like to blame it on the adrenaline rush..but there's a few people who'll like to rebut my adrenaline excuse...
but who cares? *smirks*

tankie craze + mobile blogging

Hahhaha!
I finally managed to get these pictures posted up via the new phone - with a huge help from my laptop. *makes disgusted face*
Turns out that my starting attempt in mobile blogging is NOT as easy as how the smarties behind the creation of mobile blogging would like it to be, and in case tech geek do not understand the hint, must simplify it to ----> Hello there! mobile blogging is NOT as user friendly as it ought to be la! So much more potential in improving the services!
Now that i have the phone and the lap top sitting in front of me, i might as well be less retarded and blog with the laptop instead! The phone has already contributed like 80% to my emotional outburst from frustrations for the last 2.5 days.

As mentioned, the picture were posted up using the cellphone, and i'm pretty impressed!
Was ironing my never ending pile of clothes (strangely enough, i actually enjoy ironing), and i got pretty amused at my collection of Tank tops!

Digressing alittle first, i do realise that i havent been doing anything interesting lately - it's full of salsa practise, work, eat and sleep. Boo hoo hoo...
The reason why i'm practising so hard is because, i'm scheduled to perform for street CLAP! (click on clap! for more information of the other venues, dates and time of other performances) this coming friday, do drop by if you are free!

Venue: Far East Plaza outdoors
Date: 4 July 2008
Time: 7-9

This would be my very first time performing on behalf of En Motion Dance Studio, and the thought of it is making me a tad nervous! Which also kinda explains for the boring clothes phase that i am into now.. because all i do is keep attending trainings! Hahhaha.

Well going back to my picture topic... meet the Zara basics!
Wanted to get them in green as well, but they ran out of sizes.... so we have black, khaki grey, black and blue.

Placing them together, they look like the colors of a flag eh?
Next in line would be the cuter version of tank tops.
All the same design and cut, only different fabric. Bought them mostly from Bugis Village, and Da contributed to a few from her Bangkok trip - so she's also got a similar pile of similar tankies! :D

Then ironing on, i realise dawned upon me that part of the reason why both Da and i have wardrobe storage problem is because we both have a knack for buying up stuff in more than 1 color, and for me, it is especially so for white basics! I have a ton of them in various cuts!

and yet another realisation, that all the clothes that i've posted today are all in VERY boring colors! Oh well.. will update soon, and hopefully with pictures of the Street Clap! performances!
It is currently dinner + lie down time before i head over to studio for my last practise before the performance.

testing!

I'm logged onto my new phone, attempting to blog , and so far so good, except for a few problems. Firstly I cannot seem to be able to locate the bar and link to post up pictures, secondly I think I might just create multiple holes on my LCD if I make this a long entry ! haha! and til I figure out a way to post pictures online, this should be about it.xoxox
