Nonsensical Ramblings

It's the day after my first paper, and im not quite in the mood to talk about it. In fact, the topic about exams shall stop here.. It's an overkill! Hahaha

Disappointments has been a constant in my life since the start of this year. Seems to me that this year has been full of passing away of loved ones, not only from my family, but from friends family as well. Every interest that i passionately pursue after, didn't quite turn out right. It might be a down on luck thingie, or it's just the overlook of the year that's affecting everyone else too.

My latest woe would be this competion that i've attempted to enter for. It's a MAC and Martina Pink! accessory making competion, organised by Tangs. Theme being butterfly - it's like my favourite icon of the century! And somehow, the urge to enter for it is simply irresistable. Despite knowing that the deadline for submission would somehow clash with my examination revision. Nevertheless, i told myself that i'll still do it, even if i didn't make it in time for the submission date, just for the sake of doing it.

Surprisingly, i was able to churn out my piece of accessory relatively early. I was left with the Storyboard and sketches to do. In case you're wondering, the accessory was intended to be a head sash, with a butterfly looking like it's perching on your head just slightly above the ears. Somehow, my butterfly was alittle too big, so it looked alittle too overwhelming for my liking.

I decided to turn it into a sash for the waist. Yeah it looks fine and cute and pretty. It was the damn story board that screwed up! I sacrificed my sleep to fix the story board, sleeping only after the completion of the photoshopped piece of work. ( it's up in friendster, check it out, if you're bored) I think it's pretty, and satisfactory for a 2 hour job. =)

When i woke up in the late afternoon of the submission day, the attempt to print my "masterpiece" was the "suay" part!
Of all days, the printer had to print something really shitty bluish picture, which signifies that the magenta's out of ink. But you know when in truth, there's still enough ink to print 26 pieces of colored picture. After some tinkering, which took ages, the decision to change an ink cartridge came upon me, and i realised that the house had to be out of spare cartridges right at the moment when i needed it soooooo much!

Yeah, pissed i was, i've decided to give it up totally at 7 in the evening, got dressed and left the house for dinner. It wasn't possible to get out of the house and buy a cartridge and rush home, and most printing shops aren't open at the time of the day, so I GAVE IT UP!
Coz printing wasn't the only thing left for me to do, i'll have to rush over to popular or some bookstore, to get the mounting board, i still had sketches to do, and presentation of my stuff?
Yeah. I couldn't possibly finish it all within 30 mins.

Yep told you im disappointed. Now the damn butterfly's just a white elephant hanging around at home. SO.... the least i could do, to make myself feel better, is to bitch about it to everyone!!
Yup. I'll decide what to do with my little masterpiece after the exams, and i sooooo sooo wanna chill out!

I went for lunch at this Japanese restaurant at Bukit Timah after my papers today. The food's pretty ok, but it's probably the lack of sleep, that caused me to have a little tweety's appetite. I couldn't finish my suki yaki soup, couldn't finish the unagi, and i didn't finish up my bowl of rice, and the miso soup. Wonder what i ate in there man!

I fell into a deep deep sleep over at beanie's house, the minute i hit the bed! Nah, im lying about it... i was still struggling to keep my eyes open, as Animal planet was featuring tigers! Tigers are soooo sooo cute! Especially the white tigers in the zoo! You guys should go check it out.

Yah, after the tigers, i fell asleep until 10 at night. Woke up and ate dinner, stoned alittle, and started studying, while my sweetie gave me moral support, by playing some Xbox game that he's just downloaded. The poor thing is still sick, sniffly and all. So when he blows his nose, it kinda reminds me of an elephant! hahah!
I didn't manage to study much today, coz im still feeling lethargic from all that lost of sleep.
Yeah i guess i've gotta go sleep soon, i'll need to be really awake, to study for stats.

Aint' it fast? Friday's approaching! I'm in a dilema! I can't wait for my last paper to be over, but the studious side of me wishes that my paper could be postponed til monday, so that i'll be able to have more time to prepare myself for statistics! But time waits for no man! so i gotta speed up and rush chug chug like a train! Erm... mayb a plane.

crap!

woah, i haven't been blogging for a really long time.
But it's not like anyone would be in much of a mood to be reading, with exams coming up and all... But i guess with the exception of Eric. Who requested for reading materials! hahahaha
For those who are concern, i AM studying alright...so quit bugging me to study hard! hahhaha

The entire week turned out to be alittle shitty for me, with my little glittery benq down with the virus, it got me really upset.
I spent the entire night, attempting emergency rescue on the poor thing. My little baby got infected with various trojan of all sorts! Damn! so i spent the entire friday/saturday fixing and salvaging.. I got so pissed, that i couldn't sleep.
There was no one awake at that hour to complain to, so naturally, i messaged beanie, to tell him of the infection, telling him to call me, when he's up. then exhaustion got the better of me, at 10.30am......
I jumped at the phone the minute i woke up, to ask beanie for help! He said he'll help me, so
I dressed up and packed up my glitzii, while waiting for him to pick me up, then we went over to his place to fix up my glitzii.

i Was really high and drowsy from the lack of sleep.... Making my way from the carpark to his house, was really dangerous. Managed to walk into objects and bump into pillars and sorts. Argh!
While beanie helped me to fix Glitzii up, i fell into a deep sleep.
I woke up only to know that Glitzii's half done, but somehow, i feel that though the virus's out of glitzii, she'll never quite be the same again.
But still, im glad that's everything's turning out fine again. It hurts to see your trusty machine being infected and all, like when my old Acer got infected. Luckily,it was old, and dad's system administrator could help me get rid of it in no time. So That wasn't much of a problem. But my Glitzii is different! there's no system admin person to help me with it anymore, coz Daddy left the job.. and Glitzii is brand new, and all... Ooh! it hurts!

Oh well, i really can't wait for friday to be here! It'll be the last days of exams, and i'll really get to enjoy myself, without having to worry about studying, or people nagging at me to study. Yeah i know the consequences of not doing well this time... Yep i do! I wanna party, i wanna sleep, i wanna be a true blue bummerina again! And my poor baby would be able to have proper sleep again.

My sweetie spent the past few weeks accompanying me while im studying.He's my pillar of support, encouraging me when i got frustrated, cheers me up when im down, nagged at me when im lazy. He'll do his stuff, while im studying. But most of the time, he'll fall asleep while im studying. I feel bad imposing on him, after all, it's my exam, not his.

Yup, and im guilty, coz he's down with flu. Argh... it must have been the late nights, and lack of good sleep that caused the flu. Oh man...
But im glad that my exams would be over, in time for his birthday!!!

My poor beanie didn't get to celebrate his birthday properly, coz it coincides with his exams last year. It must have been shitty.
But i remember during his birthday last year, i had this huge scare! I bought him his present really early last year, and it was a bottle of Ralph Blue.
Had it all wrapped up and etc... only to get a phone call from him on the morning of his birthday itself, informing me happily that his mom just presented him with his birthday present! guess what....
It's the same exact thing! A Ralph Blue perfume!
Oh Gawd!
The startling news woke me up, and i dressed up really quickly, rushed out over to CK tang, to exchange the perfume for a cash voucher.
Walking round and round in Tangs, i have absolutley no idea what's there for me to get for him, within such short notice, and within the confinement of just purely Tangs.
Then i saw the watch!
It took me quite awhile to decide on the right watch, and i finally decided on the right watch! This black DKNY watch, with black leather straps and all. Heee...

With this, i conclude that for birthdays, especially birthday surprises, it's usually the planner that's surprised more than anyone else!
So if you're bored with life, go plan some surprises for someone. It'll be plain good fun. The anticipation, the suspense, you'll just go high and intoxicated from all of it! Whoo pee!

Speaking of which, i need suggestions for a birthday pressie for my boo here...

Oooh wish list!

Think im truly turning mad! I'm absolutely in love with a hundred and one things! There's so many things to buy, and so little money to spare! Boo!
I went shopping with mommy earlier today, and i saw this Green little crochet bag over at the island shop! It has this butterfly link thing on it, and it so would match with the new green peasant skirt that i've just bought from ZARA! Problem is, it's kinda expensive, for alittle bag, and the only reason why im mad about the bag, is probably because of my current green fetish craze! Yeah, coz i caught myself oogling at this green suede/gemstone sandal from Island shop too! urgh! im so disgusted at myself!

I went online, and discovered this really pretty pair of earrings from ASOS! it's got the gemstones/semi precious stones with feather! Boy! im mad bout Feathers and green this season. Im actually eyeing at some peacock feather earrings, but the only problem, is that i have no freaking idea, about where i'll be able to get peacock feathered earrings. (OTher than to pluck the damn thing from mr Peacock, i see no retail stores carrying them!)

Yeah back to the Asos Earrings, im most probably gonna get them! hahah. Look, Daphne's gonna be quite broke soon, with the bag, the slippers and the earrings, it's gonna cost me about a hundred and fifty! Not counting the peacock feathers yet, coz since it's like non existant, it doesn't have a price yet. Yeah those mentioned, and a million other not so "in demand" stuff in my list. Hell... even if i had a million dollars, it wouldnt be enough to last me for a life time. Boo!

Im looking for a SUGAR DADDY! Interested parties, please apply! Yeah. But u'll only end up with a kiss on the cheek! Bah. i wouldnt mind them as advanced birthday prezzies and all ya know! HAhahah! *hint hint*Yeah desperate i am....

Hate it! Hate how i can't control my spending! So much for having self discipline! Urgh!

Yep Yep Yep... im off to bed to dream about all the nice stuff that i've laid my eyes on..... and maybe, in my dreams, a fairy god mother/sugar daddy would appear, and it definitely would be sweet dreams! Yay!

Alright, if only such persistence was used for my exams, i'll bet that i'll be scoring like any ace student! Whoo pee! Yeah.... in the dreams, baby!

green day fundae!

Whoo hoo! I ended up shopping today, being really determined to get a pair of lime green bottoms! I simply couldn't get the lime green out of my mind, having wanted a lime green pair of skirt/capris for the longest time ever. Therefore, i managed to persuade benjamin to accompany me on a green hunting trip! We started out at Far East, moving on to Wisma, stopping at our final destination of Takashimaya, that's when i found "the skirt"! *ta ta tata ta tan! the calls of the trumpets*

You probably won't believe how much trouble we went through, just to search for the lime green skirt! We combed through the entire of Far East twice, to make sure that i didn't miss out any shops, and i couldn't believe that there wasn't any lime green skirt in sight! ( rather, not a single decent skirt in lime green). Disappointed and starving, we made a stop over at Tang's basement food place for Tori Q~ yum yum! it's delicious! i had 2 sticks of chicken, and a stick of chicken and pepper.

Actually, have u ever given the pricing of Tori Q sticks much thoughts? Doesn't quite seem to make any sense, that the chicken on sticks cost lesser than chicken with green pepper strung on the sticks. After all, green pepper doesn't cost much, and there's lesser chicken involved. Weird ain't it?

Ignoring the question, i happily devoured the chickens, while moving on to wisma in search of "the skirt!" No luck with wisma, and Ben could swear that im on the verge of throwing a tantrum. Moving on to Taka at his suggestion, i felt realy hopeful. The minute i set foot onto taka's ground. I felt really light hearted, and starting laughing at the stupidest thing, like the gay clothes that Guess had on their display windows. It's this pink muscle tee with the number "79" embroidered onto it. I thought it was cute, but lots of people commented that it looked gay. Bah! whatever!.

I then decided to walk into Zara, and guess what?! i saw the green skirt that i fancied!! it's this very short, tiered and flare skirt, with cotton laces sewn at the ends of the tiers.

I came across it, while i was shopping with Ann, back then in preparations for the hair show. But due to the time constraints we had, i didn't have the chance to try on, or buy the skirt. By the time i've found the time to hunt for that tiny little skirt a few days later, it was already gone! you couldn't imagine how disappointed i am, argh!!

I even checked in at Zara again, on saturday, while i was out with Selene, hoping that the skirt would appeared, but i never saw it again.......

So i was really excited when i saw the tiny skirt earlier. I tried on the skirt, and realised that it's really too short for my own good, but still i liked it, with every intention to buy it, until i spotted yet another skirt! This time, the skirt is a knee length peasant skirt, and i thought it looks much nicer than the tiny one, and also, obviously covering alot more surfaces.

This time, i tried on both skirts with a tube, before making a final decision. After trying on and stuff, i've deicided on the peasant skirt, coz i like the effect of it on me better than the tiny one. This one oozes subtle sexiness, while the other one's more slutty, given the length of it. Bleh! So much for being bent on getting the Zara skirt that i wanted... im such a fickle/stubborn person! ARgh!!

Oh enough of babbling about the shopping for skirts, i was supposed to meet Robin and the rest for a round of morning breakfast over at Macdonalds KAP, but i never quite made it there, due to the fact that daddy was telling me stories about his childhood, and rattled on from the minute i got home ( 1:30 or so) til 4 am. It seems like forever....so i slpet late, from listening to daddy's stories, and woke up pretty late today.

When i woke up today, i realised that it's Wednesday ( the day the entire estate gets cut off from electricity supply, due to some maintainence thingie) i was sweating like a pig with no aircon, or fan. Had to shower with ice cold water, as the heater wasn't working.. no electricity remember? Yah the ice cream melted in the fridge, and yet there's nothing i could do, so i left for school. Thank God that those people had the foresight to get the generator to work, so i could use the lift, or i'll have to climb down the flight of stairs! ( The stairs at home always makes me feel dizzy)

Waited for the bus for what seemed like forever, i finally crawled onto the bus, and reached school pretty soon after tt. Had a pretty sumptous lunch, before hitting on the books. Somehow, after studying for alittle while, i felt pretty restless, and gave up on it.

Luckily,before giving up on studying, i had the help of Jian Da and Shawn, getting a better understanding of LIFO and FIFO and the weighted average. The lecture illustration i had in my notes was pretty confusing, as it so happend that i've skipped both lectures that involved the LIFO and FIFO. Silly me!

After some chit chatting, i've decided to hit the town for my "the skirt" hunt. Yeah. Today's such an uneventful day for studying, though it sure made me feel lots better, knowning that i've gotten myself the skirt finally. Bimbotic as it sounds, clothes usually gets the better of me.

Poor beanie was down with slight fever and headache today, when he called me after his nap while i was shopping. Nothing i could do, but i sure hope that he'll feel better tomorrow. After all, he's gotta meet Shu Yu early tomorrow, to catch tortoises for her project. The 2 poor fellas. Wild tortoise are such a pain in the ass!

Guess i should attempt to start studying, and quit blogging.
