brain wedgie

Brain wedgie.
I've been stuck with a "writer's block" for the longest time ever, whenever i start working on WIL. Work Integrated Learning, yah, my ass!

Weird thing is, everytime i start writing seriously for WIL, i develop sudden flu in the process.
Yup, i'm definitely falling sick soon.

There's so much to do, so little to crap, and no brain juices available to finish up.

For those who've already been through that suffering, they have all done their bit of sympathies sharing. And for those who haven't any clue what WIL is, let's just say that i'll rather sit for a WIL exam, than to do 12 pages full of crap.

I'm procrastinating for sure, but it's not like i dont want to finish up on WIL, and be done with it for good. Taking a good hard look at it, i ran out of inspiration to crap my way out of trouble.
Seriously, i'm desperate to finish it up. But i'm just a really bad liar.
I'm not made to write crap unnecessarily. It's only 30% for goodness sake!
Urgh.

hair extensions and the kitty!

I finally got bored of my hair, and there is just about only so much i can do with short curly hair.
So i got myself hair extensions! Yep i actually bought myself some hair! It's relatively fun, and so far, has entertained me pretty much for the past few days, and definitely took up lots of my time into maintaining my locks!

Takes me more than 2 hours to dry my hair, quite an effort of combing - and it's been years since i last combed my hair, and an even bigger effort not to fuss around with my hair!
Hahaha!

But still i like it! No regrets! *grinz*
Hello Kitty!
I picked up a stray kitty in school, and played mommy for 2 days 1 night, before giving her back to her actual owner.
I'm sad to say byebye kitty, but i guess it is for the better. After all, she spent the entire night wailing and crying loudly, and it gave me quite a huge headache hearing her meow all night!

However, the little thing stole a corner of my heart away when she fell asleep on my lap! So sweet! I bet she snuck off with Quack's heart too, when she slept with her head on his palm when he came over to visit!

She's really cute when she stops wailing. I gave her a tummy rub, and a tummy tickle when she woke up in the morinng.

Definitely teared abit while walking home, after i gave her away. Mehh, my little crying kitty with those sad grey eyes. I hope she'll grow to be a fat happy kitty. No more crying!

psst! I watched the Simpsons today! Whee!!! ~spider pig, spider pig!

Of enbloc, flea markets and hong kong cafes.

It's been a long while since i last updated. Oh well, for starters, it's been official that Tulip Garden would be gone, about a year from now.

That would be an earth shaking news for me, because this is practically like the home that i have been living in, since forever.

We moved in since i was 5, and now i'm 24!

I'm caught in a dilema about moving. After all, no matter how much i would really like to have a space and room of my own, it is after all a home that i've climbed and monkey around in, where memories of yesterday are really close by. And probably like what Da mentioned in her entry, if it was not for our sharing of room, we would not have been as close as we are now.

Next would be the headache of a communal consensus of finding a new home. I'm sure the folks already have plans in mind, and we are in no position to add our 2 cents worth into the plans and discussions, but i do hope that we would be able to locate a new home that is spacious, not crampy like the new private establishments, that i have seen over the years, and not forgetting centralised and accessible. Living in Farrer Road has spoilt me rotten because it is practically near everywhere!
-

I am once again thankful that no matter how bad things may seem, well in my particular instance, it would be the hassle of locating group mates to do project again. Having to do a subject alone is definitely not enjoyable. I may have already gotten used to being alone, and having to make friends all over again, but i am rather certain that i would like my life to be less filled with surprises of these nature.

But i am thankful that i have found a group rather quickly, and i truly am.

Flea Market at SMU was boring.
There was no crowd at all! Da and i were probably the Flea market's biggest buyers of the day, we we purchase items from almost every store because everything was dirt cheap!
There was the $3 pair of heels that we each purchased and i would rate the condition to be 8.5/10.
The project shop bag that cost me $3
the $8 dress
$3 glam tank top and lastly the silver and black tote back that i thought mommy might like - that cost me $5! Aha! I lost track of what Da bought, but be assured that it is definitely quantity crazy!

Mark, Da and i received complimentary tickets to the movie "Knocked up" from the organisers of the SMU flea market, and we went to watch it on Monday! Whooppee!

Being bored over the weekends, i took out the old denim jeans and made it into a flare skirt! The fitting and design isn't great, but at least the reconstructing bit entertained me for hours. It turned out fairly well to my surprise, and i wore it out on sunday, while shopping with mommy. Hee hee hee, at least i didnt get weird stares for my skirt *wink*

Met Crix, Jo and Jason for supper at the HongKong Cafe at Cineleisure again, and I had fun posing knowingly and unknowingly for Jason's new phone feature! It's so cute his phone!
All that random poses that i striked, and extracted pictures from him. Definitely one of the funnier supper sessions that we've had, especially the part about coming up with dumb ideas to send messages to random bluetooth users who left their bluetooth active. Meh!

Love the last picture the best! It's supposedly me thinking of my french toast! Yums!

Zouk and friends

It's been a good night at Zouk. I did more catching up in a night, compared to the past 1 year.
From primary/sec school mates, poly mates, colleagues from Gap, girls that i met at work in recent years, to former clubbing khakis!!

I never knew mambo night was THAT popular. Hahahaha.
But ahhh, life goes on, so what if we exchanged Hi? But it is just nice to see that everyone is doing well with their life and all, and catching up over coffee might be an option, but not necessary. :)

friendship

A good friend once told me " friendship is like a bus journey, you board the bus with friends and have your share of fun and laughter. However at some point in time, some would alight, while new ones join you in the journey"

Of course with a hint of chance and fate, old friends might rejoin the journey again, while other friends drop off, and resume their journey else where ~ A friendship cycle i call it.

I dont quite know how true it is for you, but that analogy rather describes mine pretty well.
-
Whatever it is, the many friends that come and left each taught me different lessons in regards to life, and i'm ever grateful for their insights and perceptions toward living, fun and everything else the world has to offer.

~Birds of the same feathers flock together.

So what exactly happens when a fellow bird changes feathers?

I guess theoretically speaking, the odd bird would still be welcomed within the flock.
It's when the hospitality gets abused that makes things problematic.

Boundaries crossed, Blatant imitation, Goodwill misused

There is no turning back, when the plank is laid out.
-
As previously discussed many entries ago, i am extremely territorial. Click Here for a refresher.
Be it sister, good friend or anything randomly called acquaintance, houserules still apply.
Silence to imitation does not necessary mean approval, rather it's like observing to see how far up your gutsy pet monkey will dare to climb on, before the owner yanks the leash.

At the end of the day, if your irritated pet monkey turns around and bites you in the face, there is always the option of starving it to death.

Cruel it may seem, but that is the price for being an ingrate.
-
Someone once asked me years ago "Why is it that you do not behave like a typical obnoxious Singaporean, and it led on to "why do i think that Singaporeans aren't that great".

Well it was an interesting question at that point in time. Extreme as i may sound, i would still stand true to my answer then.

You've forgotten you roots, and you forgot your humble pie. You're turning into a typical them. If you think you're that good, think again.
You're smart, i'm sure you'll be able to decipher this entry.

SMU flea market

We've finally taken a picture of the pretty ribbons tied onto his car! Yay!!
I think they're still hanging onto the doorhandles of Boo's car. Hee.

The usual self obsession - this time round with my cap!

Oh! Da and i would be taking part in the SMU flea market this saturday (21st July) from 2-7pm

Do drop by if you're free ya? We're aiming to clear away as much preloved clothes, so some of them are going away for as cheap as 2bucks a piece (for the dingy looking ones) to 20bucks (for newer never worn before stuff).

Preview of what's available on my side on Saturday.
Randomly selected a few pieces that's on the top of the pile, because i refuse to fold them up again!

Lastly, a picture from my attempt in setting up a blogshop. I never quite gotten to sprucing up the site, to clear my clothes ~ requires too much effort and energy.

Oh well, here you go! Hope to see ya on Saturday! Tata!

many days after.

I was dreaming on the bus on my way home from school, and i actually forgot to get off the bus!
So i ended up travelling on and met Quacks for icecream instead! It was an accidental meet up!

Somehow, i was given a $10 Marina Square Voucher for participating in a short intensive survey with a roaming lady from TNS. It all happened, while i was waiting for quacks!
We had a waffle and a scoop of icecream each at Andersens. I had Macadamia while he decided on rum and raisins! Yummy!

I fooled around in the car with zhuzhu the pig, while Quacks was refueling at the petrol station. Pictures were taken after my weekly dose of Zouk last wednesday, and Judging from the pictures, i guess i was alittle hyper that night.

Many of Leonard's friends decided to marry themselves on the 7th of July.
It was a fun day, considering the fact that i was not planning to attend any of them in particular.

Managed to dig a dress, and doll up within 3 hour notice ( not bad for such short notice i think). We attended Mark + Rosie's solemnisation at Em Studio, Gallery Hotel at 7pm, then rushed over to Vincent + Wileen's wedding function at the Hilton at 830pm.

*beams*

Here you go, My little black dress, that i never quite found the chance to wear! Bought it during the GSS, and finally found the occassion to wear it! Not forgetting the free black and gold necklace that was given to me during the Zouk flea market, i think it matched pretty nicely. Subtle Glamness!
Da helped me put together this outfit, because i nearly went in a tizzy, from changing in and out of dresses, in search of a suitable one for the night! *cheers!*

We took loads of pictures for the Heineken Bourne Ultimatum event at Asia Pacific Brewery.
However, all the pictures were either in Sara's camera, or in polaroid form - save for this one and only full length of myself in the uniform.

I've finally stepped foot into APB, after so many year, and i saw the picture of Lyndith and I right smacked at the entrance of the office! It was definitely a horrible shot of me, and i screamed in disgust when i saw it. *pouts* They sure blew the picture to A1 size la! Crazy!
Cant quite decide if i should be thrilled to see my face smacked at the entrance of the brewery.

Finally, with too much time on hand to spare, I had my hair straightened.
Haven't quite decide if i like the straight demure look better, or the sassy wild child curls.

Til i've decided, let's just admire my pretty butterfly leather piece that i've hung onto my w850i!

Lalala!
It's thurday tomorrow! I'm going for a Mala Hot Pot dinner tomorrow! Yums!

back to school groaning.

Saturday night at St James

Sunday afternoon at the Chilli Crab festival doing Tiger promotions.
It was so hot and stuffy working at the Taka tentage at Civic plaza, i have no idea why i could even muster a smile. I ended the day walking off sticky, sweaty and smelly. Gross!

This is about all the self portraits anyone will be seeing of Daphne in Tiger's uniform for the time being. With school in the picture again, working has taken a back seat, and interestingly found myself reverting back to my old days of oversleeping, and being late for classes and all.
I swear my new time table is out to kill me - just thinking about my packed schedule, i can already feel my energy level draining drastically! *groans*

Went chilling out with Ben after work on Saturday at Balcony. And as usual, there's always plenty of excuse for a camera whore to take pictures. With my drink looking so pretty, it's such a waste not to take a picture with it *grinz*.
It was at this moment that Mr Ben decides that it would be such a waste to allow a W850i camera to capture my pretty jelly drink moment, so we just had to take a picture with the K800i camera. Hmpf! Phone Snob.

Ah well, i have to admit that his camera uses flash, while mine is merely uses light.
The difference to creating a good pictures. Meeehhh.

Meet my new extended family! Hahaha!
Oh well, i sure miss the holidays!
