photoshopshop

Being overwhelmed by projects once again, i've gone on yet another huge photoshop spree, to keep my sanity. Yup, short of the fact that i have overshopped recently, and that there's really nothing much for me to purchase anymore, there's only pictures to fool around with.
So here we go!

Chopped hair! I kinda fancy this random shot of myself while walking home on Wednesday evening...

so i decided to toy with effects and these are my 2 favourites...
We have the cute version...where i could probably scream "I heart myself"

and the artsy version, where a blend of color and sepia to create a whimsical picture. Well, i bet you probably would not notice it, until i told you so. Hahahahha.
There was the usual camwhoring after i reached home... playing up the cutesy parts again..
ahahahaha...
and presents from Bangkok! Clockwise: There's phanta the pink fluffy elephant, Perfume from Lancome, the abstract kitty print tank top, braided black and white belt, the yellow double loop belt, pink shoe laces for my converse and lastly the lime green elephant print bag!
Thank you quacks for all that pressie! I love pressies!! *grinz*

Celebrated Zoe's birthday over a late lunch/tea on Monday at the Royal Copperhagen.
Girlie, you're getting old! Yay! Welcome to the club! Isnt it exciting to turn 24? You're just a year away from reaching your mid twenties! Whoppee!
While hunting for Zoe's pressie, i decided to get myself a little notebook.
It's so cute! However, despite the cover claiming itself to be a "bragbook", there's virtually nothing in its content that's worth bragging. Boo!
I need a life! And while i'm complaining about needing a life, i'd also like to have a nanny.
You know, someone to do my work for me, to yank me out of bed in the morning, choose my outfits, and dress me up. Hahahha. sounds like a slave.
Being Daphne isn't fun recently.
Too much projects on hand. *sulks*
I wanna go out and play! *whines*

Seal den

Warning: This is a very random entry to past time.

Post dinner - I got bored. Therefore i created a little den out of my pile of pillows and blankets for my little sleep buddy to hide in. Taking a picture of my little friend in the dark makes it look as if it is a dark enclosure... u know somewhat like penguin watching... You watch them in the dark. Hahahahha
So cute right?! However, my white sleepy seal is turning into a grey sleepy seal. Sigh.
I'm not a dirty girl. I shower before i sleep you know. :( Boo.

Kenny's party and having short hair again

Hey hey! It's little Daphy with long hair! Cant remember how long it was supposed to be again?
Here you go, full view of my glorious long locks. Meehhhh!
But Daphy soon got sick of it. Eeeeee..
So she got it removed on Thursday! This is how sad she looked after her long hair's gone.
Miss Grumpy face then went shopping around, and stumble upon a huge pair of bumble bee glasses. There was purple and black, and she couldn't quite decide which color to get.
She took a picture to help her make a better decision. *beams*Guess which color little Daphy chose in the end?! (lalala... i guess you'll have to check back to my blog to find out again, when i'm done cam whoring with my new sunnies...or i wouln't say no, to a day outing with my new sunnies...Hahahah!)

Picture of me post hair cut! We the Blue Magnums, attended Kenny's Birthday/House warming party at Woodsvale.
Kenny is older, and wiser, and due to be Graduating soon!
Happy Birthday Kenny!

Yup, it's the almost complete Blue Magnum gathering, with new additions, and members missing! They made school life bearable and fun! I love you people! Muarks! I cannot believe that we've been friends for like close to 3 years! Gahhh i'm getting old. *shudders*
Taken with the girlies of Blue Magnum, i like this picture, because everyone looks good in it, and it's rare to capture a good picture in group shots!
Zoe and i at the party, girlie ~ dont you just love photoshops and the wonders it could do?! *winks* Hahahaha and Happy Birthday to you too girl! Hope your new job's gonna be good, and you'll make a good career out of it.
Ah Lian and I, and not forgetting Kenny as well. Hahahahah.
Oh well. That's all the pictures i have for now.

good bye hair.

Pictures from Brazil Churrascaria - The night we celebrated mommy's birthday.
We had a good spread of meat, meat, and more meat. I ate a good bit of roasted pineapples, and fried bananas. Yum. The hightlight of the night was to get the Pasadors - people who carve meats onto our plate to pose and take pictures with us. Yay!

I made myself a checked skirt! Yes I kid you not, i made that skirt from the scratch. a piece of fabric, then pleated them, and then into a skirt! I even have pictures of my skirt sitting on the ironing board, after arranging them into pleats alright! Hahahaha, and I think it's cute. I also think that my pleated skirt is a tad too long. Might shorten it alittle more, when it's out from the wash. *winkz*

Pardon the outfit - i tried on my skirt in my pajamas! That red stuff peeking out at the waist line belonged to the skull shorts and top tt Da got for me from BKK! They are cute!
Say good bye to long haired Daphne. My extended hair has served me well over the past 2 months. Because i have grown bored of managing the locks, and tired of sitting around for 2 hours to get them to dry, it's about time i bid them farewell.

I've gone from grunge princess, to act cute fringe girl, and back to the real Daphne again in a matter of 2 months. So how do i look like now? Ahahah. That's for you to ponder about, until i find the time and mood to post pictures of my short hair! Lalala!

Rain at Dempsey Road.

To all my dear friends who were asking about the "3" (Rain) restaurant that i blogged about a few entries ago, the restaurant is actually located at

#01-16, Blk 11 Dempsey Road.

I'm no map goddess, so you'll probably have better luck studying the map yourself on street directory.
If my sources are right, the "village" where all the eateries are located at, should be called Tanglin Village, where other eateries such as Ben and Jerry's, Dome, Quarubar, Margarita's are located there as well. If my memory served me well, Quacks drove in from Minden Road somewhere near the country club that is opposite the Botanical gardens, and everything becomes a blur from there.

In short, it's near my place! Hurhurhurhur! But definitely not within walking limits. You'll probably end up killing yourself out of frustrations. Have fun there!

*Rain apparently have a fly problem that was disturbing Quacks, while i on the other hand, barely remembered the flies at all.

Have fun there!

Oh and my tagboard seems to be having a drug problem. Gah!

Mommy's birthday!

The Lee family is officially turning into a Sony Ericsson phone club.
Da has converted her pink Nokia 6111 into a SE w880i in Orange black! While I'm using the SE w85oi, and the brother the S700i, and i'm not too sure about mom's SE model, but it's an SE800plus series nevertheless. Now, we're only short of Daddy converting over.

Yay! Mommy's birthday is on Monday. Since mommy's got dance classes on Monday night, Da andI decided to celebrate her birthday over Sunday dinner. I actually made reservations over at Brazil Churrascaria along 6th Avenue. I hope the food is still as good as i last tasted it. Roar!! Roasted pineapples, here i comeeeee!

Salsa prac 4

Thursday 13 Sept.My 4th practise session. I think i pose better at the end, and my hand posture are better refined and positioned. Our shines and steps grew neater and congruent, and coz it's like our gazillioned time going through the routine! There was our final practise on Friday itself that was ultimately the most perfect dance ever, but it's in John's Phone. Too bad. Ahahah.Enjoy!

Initial dance practise

I shall make use of Blogger's new video feature, and upload all my prac sessions! Same dance, same song differing only in outfit, dates and progress + our screw ups ( if you're able to spot the mistakes!) Hahaha!

Taken on the 6th of September. Our first time learning the chereograph.
You could see that we were wobbly, uncertain, and full of mistakes.
I danced like an absolute klutz, gigantic steps and all, even though i was wearing a banded mini skirt that restricts movement, it amazes me just how gawky and unrefined i look.
My feet was everywhere! Gosh! It horrifies me even til now!

Taken on Wednesday 12 Sept.
My third practise session.
I learnt that i dip pose like a duck at the end, and my hands are limp.
No tension, no frame!
I also learnt that spotting is visually enticing. HAhahaha.

Salsa performance for Student week.

At last!
Today marks the last day of my gruelling week.
I spent the past week having Dance prac, prac, prac, and more prac! Gobbling my dinner in silence every night, because i am too hungry to talk.
I Havent stepped into Zouk for at least 2 weeks! I miss dancing anything but Salsa!
It was Salsa salsa and salsa!
There was the mask decoration over at Audrey's place on(her place is huge by the way! I love her home!)
We made and decorated like 40 over masks that night! These are just some of the cuter ones that i remembered to take pictures of!Then there was Salsa Booth decoration. I freaked out when i saw the barren booth we had, so i spent the entire night doing up the booth. The cutting out the letterings part was the bitch!
Because i wanted sensual fonts, i chose the cursive scriptina that said : Dance like no one's Watching..
The theme of our booth was Masquerade. Therefore the giving away of mask.
The main geist of Masquerade and our tag line, was our way of telling one that you can dance no matter who you are, and you needn't worry about looking ugly. Just dance for the love of dancing - therefore dance like no one's watching! Hahaha.

So there i was, slicing up alphabets the entire night, and worrying about fixing up my Global marketing slides because i have little clue about what exactly was the kind of information that was required in my precious 2 slides.
Luckily Audrey was fixing up the mask bit - the cutting and eye slitting, if not - i'll be dead by now.

Thursday's schedule proved to be alittle tricky.
9.30am: School to decorate booth with my alphabets in Atrium.
11pm: Met up for Global marketing group meeting in discussion room.
5pm: Dance practise at Grand Hall after i was done with GM meeting.
9pm: Left school and ate dinner home in silence.
10pm Fell asleep.

Friday was the trickiest of the lot!
10.ooam: Woke up cursing because i was late.
11.ooam: Reached school and did a dance run through.
12.10pm: Performance time!
12.30pm: Changed into formal wear and did presenatation dry run
01.30pm: Shoved food into my system
02.00pm: Presentation.
05.00pm: End of GM class
05.45pm: Frantically flagging for cab
06.oopm: Arrived at Swiss Club for Oktober Fest
06.30pm: Start of work
12.30pm: Ended work. Ricky and I posing before going up stage.
Group shot! John, Ricky, Myself and Audrey.
WE all worked hard!! Therefore we deserve this picture. Grinz!
Too bad Adi isnt in this pic, because he deserve acknowledgement too! Without his feedback, help and encouragement, the booth and the performance might not be as successful.
All that gruelling practise has thought me lots, and personally i believe that i have progressed much compared to the initial practise. I have learnt to clean up my steps, be more cooperative, and fight less with my dance partner. ( believe me, i resist alot of movements because i anticipate, so we look like we're fighting more than we're dancing). Lastly, i've learnt to refine my body movements, and hands!

Definitely a gruelling week, i told you.
My feet winces just thinking about all the stress it endured.
Oh right! Pictures of myself in Erdinger's uniform for the Oktober Fest held at the Swiss Club.
Silly but cute little outfit. I even had to braid my hair. Braiding is definitely not hair extension friendly! The rest of the pictures are still with Lyndith, and we'll wait until i get them, before posting up!
Work is fun, if it was not for the fact that i was really tired and fully stretched for the past week.
Food smelt good - all that boiled pork knuckles, fried knuckle, beef golash, sausages, salads, hams and yummy stuff that i could only look. :(

There were many caucasian eye candies present at the festival, and i had a good time oogling, and mingling with them, just to kill time, and make working alittle sweeter.

Til then *waves*

picture alteration

It's been a tough week for me i must say.
a Self inflicted tough week. It took me ages, to get started on Strategic Managment projects.
Aha! But i am definitely glad that it's over.
I spent post Strat managment submission recovering over lost sleep + being sick.

To sum it up, i feel like a whiny needy brat this whole week, only that i have no one to whine to, or rather no one who sympathises. Boo. Hahahahha.

As usual, posted pictures to show how boring my week was, but i'll try to make it sound more happening ok?!
Had dinner at Dempsy road with Quacks some time back.. last wednesday i think.
He brought me around to explore Dempsy Road! We ended up having dinner at this fusion uber cool steamboat place called Rain! The concept is pretty nice, the place was a dining/drinks place and the steamboat's decent compared to the steep price that came along with it!
I had leonard-made tiramisu for desserts! Yums!

As mentioned, the concept of the place is nice. They have a nice swing for little Daphne to swing in, and their crockery always has 3 compartments!
There was the steamboat pot that was divided into 3 for 3 different soup bases,
the rice bowl as shown in the pictures above for me to put my cooked food and soup, and the sauce plates! They have a curry sauce that goes well with the meat, an extra spicy hainanese chilli sauce and lastly the sambal chilli that goes well with seafood ;p - so the waitress explained.
Ahahahhaha! and not forgetting the swing! It sits 3!
I bet 3 must be their lucky number!
Was telling leonard that they shouldnt name their place Rain, but rather three.

Amusing huh?!
It's Zoe's convocation last friday, so i dressed up to pop by for some camera action.
Most of the pictures that i've taken are all stuck in my graduant friend's camera. All i have to show, would be my random pictures of myself in toilets and lift. Gah! Unglam!
But congrats to Daniel, Zoe, Mich Ang, Su Ann, Say Chuan, Eric, Cae and Kang Wei, and those who've missed out in the name listing process, for their graduation! Especially to Zoe who graduated with Distinctions! I'm proud of ya'll!

Met up with Crix, Jason and Hui Qing for Supper at Hong Kong cafe.
Despite hating the food there, i'm always there because the friends like there.
Bah! At least the minced meat baked rice taste decent. Hee.
Crix brought his camera along, and so explained for my random monkey face.
Bleah!
This picture is labelled as Daphy's pro shot, because Crix's logic was, since I am always self snapping pictures, i would do a better job holding the camera. Hahahaha, i am amused.
Finally my narcissism has been recognised as a worthy skill to own! Woo hoo!

I took this picture before supper earlier. Nice?!
I later turned the picture into this!!
All while i was suffering from Strat Management writer's block. Hahhaha, funny how when bored and pressured, all i do is create stupid and silly pictures. Don't think so? Look on!

Oh well, you get the geist.
As for the good news, my Pix!e baby's finally growing some bum fur!
After being bald in the lower half body for a good half year! I'm thrilled!
She looks like she's waddling around with a furry black diaper! Ahhhh! So cute!

That's about all for now! Pix!e says hi, and she looks forward to looking cuter! (pardon the lack of face paint on me...) She looks like she's giving a little wave with her short paw. Ahhhhh! cuteness overdose.
