Haircut!

I woke up to a very sunny morning, and a rather cooperative hair day, therefore the good lighting for peek-tures!
Well that and i wanted to show off the haircut that I've gotten on Monday.
Expensive, but satisfying.
Previously i was looking dreadful, with too much weight from the hair, that's too heavy at the bottom, too poofy at the sides. Very lifeless hair!
That and the random new (not so new anymore) hairband that I bought weeks ago.

The 2 Shocking news.........

to start my otherwise boring Friday morning..
I woke up to Da's sms, telling me that Michael Jackson is dead at 7 this morning!
Comeon, 7am is too early for me to register anything, as i plonked myself back into the comforts of my warm pillows.

It was only when i was dressing up for work, when the news of his death finally sank in. OMG!
My childhood legend is dead!!
I reminisced the days where Da and I would hang out at Dad's office lounge to watch The MJ Album in LD formats! (Freaking Laser Discs, man!) We were still in primary school, as we groove to his songs, MTVs and be really facinated by his moon walking!

The LD was some sort of an early Biography, compiling the best of Michael Jackson.
Featuring the dude himself as a kid in the Jackson 5,  snippets of his concerts and MTV made into a movie of sorts!

Even the brother who's 11 years younger has watched that LD countless times as a kid.

It's hard to comprehend that our childhood legend is dead.
I really hope that MJ will be able to truly rest peacefully, without being plagued with all his insecurities, bad press, ailments etc. The dood's got a tough life man!

I entered office greeted by the sounds of MJ, as Valda was paying tribute to MJ by playing his songs in itunes. She later also 'fessed up that even after she's exhausted her itunes collection, all major radio stations were playing MJ's songs....
we really do not have much choice here... LOL.

Well the second schocking news that I have learnt today!

She's soooooo hot!!!

Well, apparently Megan fox recently admitted that she's not a woman.
she's born as Mitchell Reed Fox.
OMGG!!!!
The first that I read was this... Megan Fox is a man!
There is also this video clip of Megan admitting that she's a man, a drag, a tranny where I would think that she was joking to the media...but she did look alittle emotional and upset during the interview...
Ah well...

I foresee this piece of news bursting the fantasy bubbles of millions of guys, especially so, as Transformer has just made it to the screens.
I mimicked the sound of multiple bubbles bursting, as Valda gleefully relays the shocking new to her Boyfriend.

I think Baby will be heartbroken as well, but he's just too far away in Venice for me to assess if he's really heartbroken!
Awwwww...come on,  don't be too sad. I still think that Megan's hot!

*Seriously i dont care if Megan Fox was a guy or not.
I just think it's  amusing. Soooo go believe what you want to, yeah?

Predictability.

Lately, the argument of predictability kept popping up in my head, whenever I emerge into one of my reflective mode.
I ponder if being predictable is a good/bad trait, and likewise if being fickle/volatile/inconsistent is a good/bad trait to have.

I debate really really hard to myself if i'm mostly predictable, or otherwise, and I really cannot make up my mind.
Most thoughts that passed randomly in my head would point towards my inconsistency in life, as like how most elders often worry about the general attitude that I take towards my life, where they would somehow feel that I permeate an aimless aura towards my life, that I would leave my job on a whim and fancy, to how I'd gladly dress up like a clown one day, and look real polished up another day, or even how my emotions and temperament would change really quickly in a matter of seconds.
Ahh, you get what I mean.. Flighty, capricious, whimsical, and unreliable.

However the other half of my argument stems from how I would assume responsibility like second nature, being reliable, a source of pillar to my loved ones at all times. Which also goes to show that I'm not as erratic as most view me to be either.

It is rather sickening that I draw no conclusion after all that internal debates.
Granted that I do enjoy the freedom of being fluky, but I think I deserve more credit than most people would bestow me, on my reliability.

Pristine white Mac It is!

I was spending quite abit of time hunting high and low for that miraculous sponge that I've read so much about - the Mr Clean Eraser. To my dismal, Mr Clean Eraser isnt available locally, which sparked on my other embarkation of hunting for an alternative!

I have been complaining about the accumulated grime on my office laptop for the longest time.... Since last september if my memory doesn't malfunction.
My april entry shows pictures of the grimey looking thing with 3 patches of gross grey, and the varying shades of greyness on the keypad. But LOOK at it now!

the patches of greys are gone! My Macbook is spanky white again (for the time being)!
Woo hoo!

3M's Scotch Brite sponge is my newest desktop bestfriend!
It is absolutely awesome!
And I would highly recommend this to other fellow OCD people who are expereiencing the same gruesome Macbook problem!! :D
It Works!!!
It claims to remove just about the toughest stains lurking around.
I'm itching to use the sponge for other stains, and i'm keeping my eyes open for opportunities! :D

Amused!

Mommy's home from her holiday trip.
I'm done managing the house - *throws the ball back to mommy*
I'm very amused listening to mommy's stories about her shopping woes - apparently she's having problems about copycats too!
I cannot stop laughing because she's always been telling me to be kind and tolerant to people like these, and now that she's experiencing a fullblown, in your face type of copycat for the past 9 days, I guess it's time for her to sing a new tune!

Blazing weather

Lately, the shittily hot weather has been getting to me.
I have this perpetual urge to hibernate ( I do realize that hibernating usually applies for animals living in colder climate), dunk myself in the cool comforts of the pool water, or just keep staying indoors.

I think i'm dying a slow death here, where I constantly feel like a sad chicken pie sitting in a baking oven.
The sickening process of perspiration trickling all over, and drying up, Then perspiring and drying up again is gross.
The ultimate Eekness! is feeling sticky at the end of the day.
I actually feel  like a walking perspiring lapis when I return home every night. Just imagine the multi layers of dried perspiration accumulated from the entire day under the microscope.
I'm pretty sure it looks like the 9 layer kueh from Bengawan Solo, only that it's in varying shades of dirt grey.
Uber gross!!
I'd think that everyone's going to think twice about kueh lapis craving after this.. :)

Territorial again.

Lately, I've been rather annoyed at many petty incidents AGAIN.
It's all pretty similar a scenario, if compared to my entry posted 2 years ago about being Territorial
I fucking hate sharing.
So if I share something with you, it's done out of goodwill (if you're too stupid to comprehend goodwill, go check the damn dictionary) - therefore it doesnt mean that you can act santa claus on my behalf, and spread it to the whole wide world like a fucking news broadcast without asking me if it's fine.
I dont believe in charity crap like this, and I wish to remind you that sharing the same shopping sites as me wouldn't necessary elevate you to an instant fashionista status that you badly wish for.
Too bad.

Lifehacker

I was f
lipping through a couple of magazines last friday, while waiting for the boyfriend to be done with gym, and I chanced upon an article that promised to turn my personal handwriting into a font! My very own font

Well, that intrigued me enough, to venture into lifehacker
Their DIY section amused me the most, with comprehensive instructions to create invisible floating  bookshelves (I likey like!), to create a portable, yet affordable light box (that's definitely on my highly coveted list when I was a kiddo for my arty paper projects)

The weirdest idea was to uglify your camera to deter theft. Really! For someone who spend loads of time prettifying my gadgets, I found this unbelievable. But i guess it is practical.

There's also a nify suggestion that is brow raising man! The entry is called turning a nike+ sensor (you know, that jogging gadget collaboration between nike and the apple people) into a keyless entry.. as so the site quotes " Pressing the button on your key fob to unlock you car is so last millennium. This nifty modification will have your car unlocking itself as you walk up to it".
Hahahh! Sounds kinda cool right?!

Floorplanner sounds handy, for those who're thinking of rearranging/or buying new furnitures soon. (I want my own room! *pouts*)
There is just too much to list here, and I'm not done exploring the site yet, so I guess
I'm done writing!
Have fun exploring!

Goodbye Pnut

Somewhere early last year, I announced the arrival of 3 baby hamnuts  - Donut, Peanut and Walnut.
Sadly, Donut passed away on Good Friday this year, where I found her laying on her "death bowl", while doing my usual morning rounds of feeding routine.
She had a major tumor growing beneath her, looking somewhat like a mega hamster testicle.. and was looking peaky for the last couple of days, therefore, I was prepared for her death somewhat.

The more tragic news of the 2, would be Peanut.
The little hamlet got involved in a freak accident earlier tonight. :(
I was watching the telly just earlier, when we kept hearing perpetual but intermitten squeals - which i dismissed as sibling squabbles between Walnut and Pnut.
It was only when baby prompt me to check on them, that i realized to my horror that Peanut was trapped by the mobile running wheel that came along with the cage.

The wheel had collapsed on the tiny little body while they were playing around, and hurt the little darling badly that it left her motionless.
Despite freeing her off the ordeal, but it was very obvious that the poor thing's in pain from her occasional squeals of pain whenever her sister tries to groom her (you know, the way animals try to comfort and ease pain.. yeah), and she could not recover back on all fours.

As she has always been really hyper, the sort of skinny thing that neglects food to climb around and explore nooks and cranny - looking at her laying there motionless with her eyes wide open, it seriously pains me,

I sought the help of the little brother to transfer her over to the little "ICU tank", that I've always kept for hamster emergencies, and according to the little brother, the lower part of her body was limp and dangly, which meant that she broke her spine or some major bone, and from my visual inspection, there was a major indentation on her lower body, indicating the impacted area - before the 3 of us rushed out over to Mount Pleasant Vet/clinic.

I contemplated the situation during our journey to the Vet, and deep down I already knew what the outcome would be.

When shit happens to little animals, the usual recommendation would be to put them to sleep, as it is highly impossible to put them through surgery or medication (I've probably mentioned this a million times, whenever the subject relates to a tumorous hamsters and the possibility of putting them through surgery, so I'll spare you the same rattling).

To cut the story short, I made the choice to end Peanut's suffering.
Goodbye little Pnut, I'm really sorry.
