Goodbye my Tiger Lily

It has been slightly over a month since Pebbles passed away, now its time to bade Tiger Lily goodbye as well. I would like to think that she passed away on Saturday, somewhere between the timeframe of 9pm-2am, because she was breathing when i left home for dinner, and rigor mortis has already kicked in when i woke up at 2am.

I do have to admit that i thought she was dead a few mornings ago, when i went about doing the usual breakfast routine for the mini zoo. She was looking really peaky, very weak, and barely the energy to find her way around. She lies around listlessly, with no interest for food and water, faints in her food bowl, and generally takes a long time to respond to me. I could see it coming, unlike pebbles - who was active, and expired the next day.

Looking back, i was really worried about Tiger Lily's well being without the presence and care of her brother. It has been a long grueling period for me, with every knowledge that i really wasn't a very good replacement "brother".
I could never replace the care that Pebbles did, but i know for sure that i did my best.
I spent more time and attention on her that pix!e actually became rather jealous.

Going way back to the time when i first adopted them, Tiger Lily used to be the runt of the litter, but she's got a really pretty fur marking. Pebbles pales in comparison, standing next to her. Though she looks nothing quite like a tiger, her distinct markings earned her the name Tiger Lily because they remind me so much of the stone Tiger's eye, while pebbles got his because he looks like the common garden pebble - pale, smooth and grey.

I really did put in some thoughts into naming my pets, its just that i never quite told anyone how i actually derive with the name Tiger Lily for such an unglam but pretty hamster. In a blink, it has been 2 years since i named them. I think i'll really miss the both of them, now that they are both gone, and it is going to take me a long while before i think about new additions.

I dread the day when i would have to wake up to pixie being gone.
But for now, good bye my Tiger Lily - my mini princess with that very dirty fur, i'll miss you.

pix!e

Pix!e!
We havent seen much of pix!e the whole of last year, because she wasn't up for much camera whoring.....
Now she's grown herself a whole new crop of cute bum fur after her balding bottom crisis (skin scraping, cream medication, diabetes and all... yes, she's given me quite a big scare!)
I've gotten myself a furry and fatty bom bom piggie again! yay! Cheers to 2008!
Here's the impish little thing looking so cute as usual!
I spent the evening lugging her around the house in the afternoon, snapping pictures, poking fun of her and everything else.
Looking sheepishly at the camera, she's apparently trying to hide something..
After much cajoling, she finally relented and shot me her "Do you really want to know" look...
and here we go!

Eek! green lips!

Hahahahahha! That came from kailan munching.
Apparently the leaf of a kai lan is potently green enough to stain the lips of a piggie!
I'm amused because she looks as if she's walking around the house with a leaf in her mouth - somewhat similar to a dog with a bone in the mouth. It was only upon close inspection, when i realise that her lips are stained!
Heeheehee

Unflattering random shot of my little precious looking grumpy, but her bum fur is back and thriving for sure! Her tummy's touching the ground, so she's one plump pig!
Thinking back, she was only 6 months old when i bought her from the pet shop.
Gasp! She'll be 5 years old this August!

Good bye holidays!

School starts today, just hours away! *whines* However, it is consoling to know that i had an insanely amount of good time this term break!

Friday/Saturday/Sunday - Salsa Chalet
I spent that last of my term break holidays at the En Soul Salsa chalet/workshop with the people from school team and gotten the chance to know each of them better, because being Daphne, i didnt really have much opportunity to interact with each individual previously, given my absurb schedule.

Given the amount of insane people in our group, it it tough not to have fun, thought i'd say that i played more Saboteur than to dance salsa at the chalet! Hahaha!
Pictures of us while Z was conducting the Argentin Latin workshop before dinner.
Looking at our body language, i'd say we were all listening intently! Gary and i after his women and men's styling workshop.
Yippee! I can sort of body wave now! Heeheehe...

Making my random silly dash for the camera when it went off, as i wasn't sure if the timer mode of the olympus was functioning or not. Hahaha!
A proper group shot at last! I was using ricky's Chevrolet as my tripod, which explains for the slant. Post chalet, i crashed into bed by noon and fell deeply asleep on Sunday. Zzzz

Psss: updated xmas pictures has been received!
They will be added into my previous entry, just to make my entries neater.

Yay!

of christmas 07 and new year 08 and taiwan!

A belated merry christmas and happy new year.
Having not been blogging for quite a while, posting an entry feels pretty rusty.

I had dinner with the family, then spent the last of 2007 chatting and reflecting my year with Ben. With so much whizzing by my life in 2007, i concluded that it has been relatively fruitful, but yet unfulfilling 07 for me. Zzzzz. (I'm still as lost and directionless as ever)
Meaning to say, what's planned were mostly left unaccomplished because of the lack of discipline and procrastinating on my part. Hahahhaha!

Typical of me, but tsk tsk..

With a whole new year ahead, i refuse to set resolutions for myself (mainly because i NEVER fulfill them), and i will just leave everything to "nature" for 2008.
But for one, i do hope to have better skin for 2008, and let's pray really hard that crappy skin and scars would go away together with the old year for good!

I woke up early to stuff myself with a Dim Sum brunch at Asia Grand/Grand Asia (pardon the failing memory with the name) with cousins. Yummy, but stuffingly full.

I spent my chrismtas french kissing hot babes at Traders hotel. And here's a preview of a sizzling one- Cae!!!

Christmas toast!
Babes unite!
Luis, Daphne and Zoe
Daphne and Saychuan - Look! I finished my wine all by myself for the first time!
Our sheer amazement at the size of Su Ann's .... *smirks*
Damian, Daphne, Su Ann and Ivy
Cae and i attempting to kiss!
Now my turn with Su ann.

Being the way i am, i reckon that i'll have lost the interest to blog about anything, by the time the pictures gets to me - just like Taiwan (Da, for the last time, where are my Pictures?!), and so many other instances that i'm too lazy to point out. Hahahha.
So i might as well post up the random few that were taken with the olympus.

Here we go,
Day 2: Spoilt brats in action. Grumpy sleepyheads, because it's really early in the morning!!

Posing with a random rock that's supposed to resemble a head of a queen..
