Tea overdosed

Frantically trying to sleep, yet it's one of those night that I lose my ability to sleep on demand.

Perhaps I've had just too much tea today.
I did a quick tea count to replace those sleeping Sheeps.

koi fresh milk tea before I met the girls.
Osamanthus green tea at manicurious
Osamanthus green tea again
Earl grey with milk at manicurious just for a change,
And honey green tea with pearls that the brother bought for me on his way home.

That's 5 servings of tea!
Caffeine and alcohol adrenaline coursing through my system.
:(

How am I going to make it for brunch with the boys later, is beyond my imagination.
Oh dear!

On hindsight, my limbs are pretty again!
I chose Barbie pink for the fingers and a contrast tone of speckled white on the ring finger for that touch of unconventional streak in me.

Toes were darker shades of berry pink and like my finger, I contrasted my accent toe to be glazed with purple glitter.
:)

I'm such a magpie.
All that glitters is not gold, but yet it pleases me so.

Warren Buffet says...

1. Find your passion.
“Never give up searching for the job that you’re passionate about,” he says. “Try to find the job you’d have if you were independently rich. … Forget about the pay. When you’re associating with the people that you love, doing what you love, it doesn’t get any better than that.”
2. Be careful who you admire.
“If you tell me who your heroes are, I’ll tell you how you’re gonna turn out. It’s really important in life to have the right heroes. I’ve been very lucky in that I’ve probably had a dozen or so major heroes. And none of them have ever let me down. You want to hang around with people that are better than you are. You will move in the direction of the crowd that you associate with.”
3. Learn how to communicate effectively.
While getting his MBA from Columbia University, Buffett revealed that he was “terrified of public speaking,” causing him to withdraw from a Dale Carnegie class. But after graduating he saw the ad for the course again and decided to give himself a second chance.
“I became associated with the 30 other people in the class. We couldn’t stand up in front of a group and say our own name. I mean it was — we were — it was pathetic. But that class changed my life in a big way.”
4. Develop healthy habits by studying people.
“Pick the person that has the right habits, that is cheerful, generous, gives other people credit for what they do. Look at all of the qualities that you admire in other people … and say to yourself, ‘Which of those qualities can’t I have myself?’ Because you determine whether you have them. And the truth is you can have all of them.”
5. Learn how to say “no.”
“You won’t keep control of your time, unless you can say ‘no.’ You can’t let other people set your agenda in life.”
6. Don’t work for someone who won’t pay you fairly.
“I do very little negotiation with people. And they do little with me, in terms of it … if I was a woman and I thought I was getting paid considerably less than somebody else that was equal coming in, that would bother me a lot. I probably wouldn’t even want to work there. I mean, [if] somebody’s gonna be unfair with you, in salary, they’re probably being unfair with you in a hundred other ways.”
7. Become involved with growing businesses.
“I mean, you want to get on a train that’s going to go 90 miles an hour and not one that’s gonna go 30 miles an hour and you’re gonna try to figure out how to, you know, push it along a little faster. So it really does make a huge difference. And there are some businesses that inherently [have] far more opportunities than others.”
8. Learn everything you can about your industry.
Buffett says he reads for six hours every day because he believes that growing your intellectual capacity will help you solve problems more effectively.
“I knew a lot about what I did when I was 20. I had read a lot, and I aspired to learn everything I could about the subject. “
9. Young women should seek mentors.
“These [mentoring] relationships all just evolve. I never set out to become a mentor … It’s amazing … how the person that really wants to do a terrific job just jumps out. There aren’t that many. You will be perceived as exceptional and as a worthy person for a superior to spend some extra time with if you just do something extra all the time. It seems elementary, but it’s true.”
At the end of the interview, Buffett reminded everyone to keep getting up after all falls because “you are healthy, and bright and have decades ahead of you.”

and I agree.

Change is good

I took down my previous change post, and in return, I found something more positive, and more logical than what I could verbalize on my own, and in turn might sound bitchy and angsty.

So often when things change in our lives, we have such a resistance to the change. This is because when people see a big change appearing they're often fearful that it's something bad. But it is important to remember that when something big changes in our lives, it means something better is coming. There cannot be a vacuum in the Universe, and so as something moves out, something must come in and replace it. When change comes, relax, have total faith, and know that the change is ALL GOOD.
Something more magnificent is coming to you! - Rhonda Byrne

Taking back excerpts of my recent change post to blend back with this post...

I spoke about changes and embracing changes on many occasions in my post.
I believe that to be evergreen, following the flow and changing one's perception is necessary.

Don't get me wrong.
Values and principles remains, but habits and routines do not.
When was the last time you made noticeable changes to yourself?

It could be a change in lifestyle, change in food intake, change in the way you look..
Anything!
When was the last time you made changes to yourself?

When was the last time I implemented change?
At least 2 months ago in my preferred wardrobe color and style
3 weeks ago with the hair
2 weeks ago with my skin care routine
1 week ago with the nail color
3 days ago in the way I reorganized my room
2 days ago with my water intake

Think about it and implement something new in your life.
It helps to retard dementia.
Even if it means wearing mismatched socks, wearing a bow tie as a headband, cut the fringe, shave head or using toilet bowl water to wash face, I don't care.

Because you DARE to challenge yourself,
The rewards you reap is priceless.
It's like a tiny adrenaline glow that spreads with the empowerment of knowing that you made a difference in taking control of your life today.

That's how you love yourself a little more each day.
It starts from within. Be positive and embrace something new regularly.

We are masters and mistress of our own destiny, you know?

pictorial updates the month of May

It's been a really long while, since I last posted an extensive of vainpot pictures in here.
I reckon that since my hair's still red, I might as well post everything up as soon as possible!

Here we go..

Giodano Black Tee
Love Moschino Black belt
iisa navy petal layered high waist skirt
Ted Baker necklace watch

iisa chiffon pleated lantern sleeve top
Cream lace shorts
Red heart shaped cut out belt
H&M summer straw clutch

Forever 21 cropped demin top
Love Moschino Black belt.
Tulle Navy dress worn at waist (it's detachable, so I wore its skirt out only)
H&M summer straw clutch

This was taken when my hair was still freshly red.
The pictures below: well, I'll say that the red is beginning to turn into shades of coral pink streaks secretly..
That's roughly 11 days from the salon.

Took the pictures with X's Cannon D60.
Oh I did some gradient filter for this... could not decide which I prefer better, so posting both up!

This would be pure evidence that my hair doesn't fade together consistently.
It's either that or I shampoo my hair inconsistently?

Backview when I leave my hair in a mess by the light.

---

Under the mother's influence, I bought myself a new pair of earring.
Because she saw something she fancied.
And there was a promotion that says, buy 3 pairs and get a bracelet for free.

Well, Auntie lee wants the bracelet, and I saw those cool earrings that I fancied and never thought about buying, until the salesgirl said the 2 magical words to me.

"Stainless steel"

Best news ever!
I quickly chose what I wanted. (It was between the star pair that I'm wearing, or the pearls.)
It's been almost a week, and my ears are still intact!

Happy like a starry girl!
My skin's even more sensitive than my personality.
It rejects cheap metal. Not even silver (My body tarnish them too quickly, and then my earhole will pus up)
I'm a gold or stainless steel girl.

Oh and we went about out for lunch and took some jumping pictures over the weekend, and I like this!
Disclaimer* I wore shorts underneathe that big tee shirt dress alright!
So dont you go about thinking that my underwear is as big as pantaloons.
It's blurry because of because.
Hahhaha.

Wearing:
Angel sleeve tee shirt dress with side pockets
Cream lace shorts underneathe
Aldo studded hidden wedge sneakers
I also wore my Lovissa moonstone necklace with tassle out as well, but it wasn't jump friendly, therefore I removed it from the picture.

Heading out for family dinner.
I forgot my coordinates for the day.
And was telling the mommy that my red streaks is definitely unobvious anymore!

Of the Hello Kitty x Tokidoki collection at 7eleven I fancied 4 out of the entire collection.
Look! I'm only missing on the unicorn kitty tokidoki now.
The cow one is like bonus I guess.

Happy girl I am.

Tried this pomegranate green tea over mother's day brunch last sunday.
It's yummy!
forgot its actual name. Arizona tea or something?
I actually like the place we had brunch at, so i'm not sharing location.
Because I hate it when it's packed with too much people.

I know, I'm selfish that way.
I like and deserve my privacy ok!

#selfish girl!
I left my cap in the brother's room last week, and forgot all about it.
Found it back now!

Lastly, Madamoiselle Trixie Lee is turning 2 this month end.
So happy for her.
This would be the dogglet with her antibark collar.
Trying to do something about her annoying habit of barking whenever she's left alone at home.

Debating if I should have a birthday party for the monkey and invite all her friends over, or just load her up with loads of yummy food and send her for a proper grooming to make her pretty.

She's been annoyingly naughty lately.
I'm wondering if the terrible twos theory applies to dogs too?
But I still love my annoying dogglet

Girls night out!

Girls night out after the Asian fashion show event.
It was pretty good night, and I caught the Great Gatsby after that.

Had ice cream matcha parfait to kill excess time and sober up.
The azuki beans concealed in between layers is disgusting!
Ants would turn diabetic instantly!
My sweet tooth died.

I enjoyed the matcha jelly, matcha mochi and ice cream with conrflakes.
But the azuki really killed all the joy.
I'm not a red bean fan by nature, and this red bean jam is just bleh.

The Great Gatsby wasn't too bad.
Love the set decor, the costumes and it was just an eye feast for me, as I sat enthralled by the set scene and house, and watching people Lindy hopping made me jittery and dancy!

I want a house as huge as that!

If you have time to spare over the weekend, do drop by the F1 pit, located near the Singapore flyers to check out the blue print emporium.
They're opened to the public now, and the duepunti jewellery that Im considering about will be showcasing their goods and wares there!

Oh, and not forgetting my outfit of the day!
Love the back of my jumpsuit. :):):)

Alright, it's bedtime!

Bunny San says hi

Bunny's doing fine and being his usual self.
Okay he lost a bit of weight and he's no longer a feifei.
The brother and I took him out on the dining table for a short hop and here's bunny!

Weirdest dream ever!

It's funny how I'll never say no to helping animals in distress, in real life.
I've got this long track record of bringing home all sorts of animal friends home because they were injured, homeless, sad and etc.

I took a post dinner nap earlier, and I dreamt that I found an abandoned mongrel looking dog, actually the type that Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) causes would take care of, but that in real life I'll not be able to keep them due to their size and fur issues.

Shortly after discovering the dog, I was in an unfamiliar lift and lift lobby bringing the dog for a walk, I chanced upon some baby tigers. 3 of them at the lift landing area!
They were abandoned in a little cage that seemed alot like the back of a lorry, and they were in distressed from being abandoned. No one came back for them.

I kept screaming at the newly picked up dog (who's got the same irritatingly curious personality that Trixie has) to leave the baby tigers alone.
The tigers were really frightened whenever the dog goes by to take a sniff, and they would give a deafening roar whenever that happens (which doesn't make sense, because baby tigers can't roar).

I was busy shuffling to and fro between the animals + I even had guest that night to attend to, in a place that was supposed to be my house.

Complicated much?
Anyway I woke up when everyone came home. First thing I said to the sister when I opened my eyes was, I picked up a dog and 3 baby tigers.

all she said, was wow.
No one's impressed. :(

I wouldn't say I woke up disoriented, but its truly a weird dream.
Tigers leh!

I'm not sure how my mom would react, if I brought a Tiger home as a pet.

Trixie vs Daphne

Such is the life of Trixie the dog.
She spends most of her time doing my bidding, while I clean up her poop in exchange.

Seriously, I'm not sure who's got the better end of the friendship.
Trixie or Daphne.
Hahaha.

I'm beginning to think that the furry spoilt brat's getting the better end!
Just look at her, basking in the sun, enjoying the air conditioning in the room.
ahhh #life is good!

Everytime I'm done with a hair accessory, she'll get to be photographed in them too!

Hello blogskin

It's been years since I've last changed a blogskin.
Not because I've been lazy, but rather, I've been pretty happy with my marshmellow gradient blogskin for the longest time.

Well, it's time for an upgrade!
It's something I've been contemplating for a long while, because I wanted something really tiny.

A Favicon.
(It's just the little icon on the top left corner of the address bar)
Well, for a favicon to exist, I'll either have to upgrade to the new blogger template (which I've been fighting off for months)

or I'll have to upload a favicon of my own and host it off somewhere (which turns out to be waaaay too troublesome).

Well, one of my dear friend just pointed out something important to me.
Why are some of my recent post missing.

Ahah!
2 clicks later, my suspicion was confirmed.
I'm decided.
Sentimental reasons is a terrible excuse to keep a pretty skin.

The marshmellow template is too old to withstand lengthy posts.
It's time to change and grow up!
So lalala, til the next skin upgrade then.
and favicon change!

*you'll have to clear your cache for my favicon to appear.

Lazy daphne

Out for a short errand, I left home with my trusty Volcom cap that I bought way back in Bali.

Every time I bring out my caps, the mother would give me the same reaction:
Why do you need to wear cap?!

I mean, I don't see anything wrong with wearing a cap.

There are days when I'd fancy hiding my face from the eyes of people.
There are days when I just want to be unnoticed.
There are days when I just want to change the way I look when I stare at the reflection in the mirror.

On hindsight, my first trip and last trip to bali is as old as the cap is.

Anyway,
Didn't comb hair
Didn't paint the face
Lazy daphne at your service.

You're welcome.
Oh and kinda cute that the hair is still red huh! After all that color bleeding when I shower every night.

It's been awhile since I've gone red, it kinda still amuses me while it lasts (7 days and still counting!).
