Food indulgence!

(picture taken with the x66 =( while having sushi at Sakae yesterday )

I had dinner at Seoul Garden with Boo boo today. He had the craving for their Ginseng Chicken soup.
I ate so much that i nearly burst! But my wonderful dinner had to be interrupted by a phone call from Nokia Care center. The customer service lady called to inform me that my phone repairs are gonna cost me $150! WTH! my first reaction was "so ex! what's wrong with my phone?!"
I sent the phone in coz it couldn't charge.
then since my phone's in, i added on the nitty gritty problems that i encountered.

Next thing, they're telling me that they're gonna replace some GSM chip, the motherboard, and etc. WTH!

I might as well spend the $150 on a new cheapo phone, at least its new!

Being too upset to carry on with any conversation, i handed the phone over to boo, and made him talk to the nokia people.

Then after some probing, the lady said that $150 is the maximum amount that i'll have to pay.
After more probing, she said i'll have to cough up approximately $80 for phone repairs.
It's literally WTH la!

So im stuck with the decision of fixing my 7610, or to get myself a new phone. Shitty man hate being broke!!
Zoe, James and Weirong came and looked for me shortly after, and waited for me to finish up my dinner with boo. (thank you for waiting!)

We Headed over to One Rochester, while my poor boo had to go work. It'll be nice to go over with boo boo...but alas..
Work work comes first. =(

One Rochester is a pretty place. It has similar concept to Villa Bali, but has a classier feel, coz it's basically a huge Colonial house with a huge garden.

The garden's lined up with loads of comfy sofa..but because it's a friday night...there wasn't much space left..
so we were given a seat up at the Balcony. Definitely a cool place, but if i were made to live in it, i'll freak out. Spooky, if you're living in it alone. Haha!

Looking at the pictures, sans the photo filter edit that i've done, i realised that i'm looking rather tanned recently.
Yet the wonderful part of it, is that I haven't been under the sun at all, so where did i get my tan from?!
Weird huh? Haha!
What to do, im born a "chow ta" girl... Bah!

Too bad..looking fair is in fashion instead...tsk tsk.

picture ramblings

The boo boo posing with my folder of recipes and his cake of labor...the Banana Walnut Cake!

With the help of his mom, and Daph-na the kitchen helper, it was more or less a success!

Woot! But i could not really taste the walnut...coz boo said that i chopped them into walnut dust... =(

We couldnt locate the local banana, so we made do and used the huge delmonte type of banana, and the cake wasn't quite fragrant...but it's still a good cake!

YunWei and Jo invited Zoe and I over to Essential Brew at Holland village for a food tasting session! Essential Brew has kindly agreed to advertise in the Council's RMIT University Magazine (RUMAG for short).
So we were given a chance at food tasting, in order to conduct a food review in the mag!

Happy people we are, we couldn't resist not taking any pictures, so there we go, pictures of the delicious food, and not forgetting pictures with the guy that made our night possible! Evan, the Managing Director of Essential Brew! He's only a year older than Zoe and i, and he's already an entrepreneur! Puts us to shame...sigh..

Here's what we had for dinner..
A variety of drinks, mine's the cup on the right hand corner. It's Vanilla obsession! Woot!
There's the tofu Steak and baby potatoes and breaded mussels for starters
then there's salmon, dory fish, and chicken for the main course,
And as for desserts, there's the cute shooter looking fruit drinks that's accompanied by 2 scoops of icecreams that are separated by chocolate poky sticks!

We girls were spoilt for choice!
We hung out at Essential brews til late (they were abt to close), and being bored..Zoe and i proceeded to Crystal Jade, and continued stuffing ourselves silly.
Mr Johnny Xie decided to drop by and joined us, and together, we brain stormed many ideas for the coming council events!
See what hard working people we are! We mix work with pleasure, and it's always such a nice feeling.... *yums!*

Zouk on Wed was good as usual, and i arrived late, and left slightly earlier to have supper with the boo.
My maggi goreng was such a long wait, but i had fun listening to the agonising stories that XT, Danny and Boo have to share with me.

I was supposed to go for a swim with boo. We've been shelving swimming for days! It was either because Boo couldn't wake up in time for a swim before work, or it was because i overslept, and as for today...it's all the rain's fault!

The both of us, especially leonara is upset with the weather. So we naughty grumpy things, decided to send my poor phone into Nokia Care at Wheelock, for repair.
My poor phone.. is unable to charge. After 2 years of constant toiling, the 7610's finally down.
So i've lost a whole load of SMSes that i treasure alot, as well as quite a no. of contact no. that the Customer Service lady "claimed" to have transferred over to my SIM card, and of course... the lost feeling of not having my phone in my hand/pocket/bag.

I went home with the battery, memory card, the pink casing, and the ribbon that i tied onto the phone....and in my hand, i'm holding on to the panasonic X66.
A pretty lilac/lavender phone, but unfortunately one of the most unfriendly phone to use.
I had such a hard time figuring out the functions available, as well as to reply SMSes, while having lunch at Sakae.

Of all days, they have to run out of Chawanmushi today! Everything's going unsmoothly for me today! First the weather, next the phone, my poor patchy the hippo with recording functions is spoilt agian, and now the egg. (sounds familiar to you, boo?)

Bah! Tomorrow will be a better day, because we're determined to swim! The weather better be good, i'll cook my own version of chawanmushi if i have to, get mommy to charge the pretty but useless phone for me, repair patchy myself, and end my day really happy! Whee!

Time to Zzzzz

depression..

It's holiday, and i should be jumping around feeling overjoyed

but, why do i feel so lousy instead?
Not that i've got nothing to do...but i chose to sit around and mop in depression.
Meeting friends seemed alittle meaningless to me recently, and i've been neglecting i know...
I can't fathom myself, and i've been dwelling alot on the negative stuff that had happened to me,
I can't help wishing that some stuff never happened, but yet i can't escape reality.
Especially the reality of HER existance.
Something in me keeps telling me that she's back, back in my life, the life that i treasure so much, but yet im helpess.
Helpless to stop her from intruding. I can't help wishing her dead.
I wished he'll be more transparent, and more truthful with me, about everything.

Yet once again i'm helpless, wallowing in despair, dreading the thought of all the lies and deception that awaits me.

How do i break away from my dark thoughts? How long more, before i do actually break down? I hate to put up a brave front, just to make everyone but myself feel better.

Quizzes

While waiting for my hair to dry up...
i've completed some random test that the site has to offer to me.....

1) What kind of Flirt are you?
>>You Are a Coy Flirt!
You're not so much a flirt as the type of girl who draws flirts in.
While you look like you're just relaxing, secretly you've got your game on.
A little look here, a little wink there... you give men the encouragement they crave,
And in return, they flirt up a storm with you - while you just sit and smile

2) How do men see you?
Men notice you light years before you notice them.
You take a selective approach to dating, and you can afford to be picky.
You aren't looking for a quick flirt - but a memorable encounter.
It may take men a while to ask you out, but it's worth the wait.

3) What Do Guys like about you?
>>Guys like that you are fun.
You're the type of girl that guys brag about knowing.
That's because you're cool, funny, and laid back.
You're smart enough to know how to be one of the guys,
But flirty enough to know how to make them all want you.

4) Are You a Good Girlfriend?
>>You are a great Girlfirned!
When it comes to your guy, you're very thoughtful.
But you also haven't stopped thinking of yourself.
You're the perfect blend of independent and caring.
You're a total catch - make sure your guy knows it too!

----hmmm.. i wonder what will Leonara Quacks have to say about this... Haa!

Pretty rings and new hair color!

The starr

Look! Such pretty rings! These pretty bling blings are from Mauboussin!
They're newly launched at Taka and Hilton Hotel i think. Was reading up on the brand write up, and i'd say that the concept's pretty cool and pretty.
Enough said, click here to check out their designs! there's bound to be one design that'll make you drool with desire (im having ring fetish this season). The price? The ring's going for at least $3,400 and above.
There's the subtle classic, and the huge blings! Just looking at it, made my eyes sparkle!

What a great way to splurge, when you got too much cash to spare! Haha!

I paid Kate a Visit earlier, and guess what? I'm sporting a new haircolor!
I like the idea, and the technique she did on me...
It's supposed to look like i've dyed my hair 2,3mths ago, when in actual, i've just dyed the hair hours ago.
She combined copper and blonde, and my natural hair color, to give me a gradual faded look....or according to William the smoky look. Ha!
Her inspiration? My feathery hair, which according to her, reminded her of feather dusters.
Thank God that i ended up looking cooler than the feather duster.. Yikes!

Pictures of my hair... i'll take them tomorrow..
But i can assure you that the camera does no justice to my cool hairdo!! Woo hoo!!
------------------------------------
I just got reminded about how much there is to be done in council, in the coming semester!
I'm hyperventilating, just thinking about it! OMG!
So much for a relaxing holiday ya?
haha!!

ju ju hokkaido hotpot and male chilvary

Juju Hotpot! That's where i went for dinner yesterday.
It's basically Japanese steampot, with really pretty, fresh and elaborate food decorations.
I like the serivice there, the food, the ambience, and it's fun eating there.

I had dinner with boo and his mom, and we ordered 2 servings of beef and 1 seafood serving. Dinner was rather amusing, as we havd to share a huge long table with a young couple.

For starters, we had this golden egg something, which is a three quarters boiled egg, marinated with their special sweet sauce. It came along with a slice of egg tofu, and pickled vege.

Next came the rainbow dumpling platter, where we were served a platter of assorted dumpling each, and we get to cook them in our personal pot of soup.

The couple next to our table didn't realise that the dumpling platter ought to be cooked, as the girl bit into the dumpling, and spat it out, while the guy, (served with the dumpling was a tequila shot glass of minced meat with a stalk of celery stuck in the middle of the meat) took the stalk of celery and placed it into his mouth. OMG!!!!
The waiter had to inform them that the dumplings were supposed to be cooked.

Boo's mom was trying hard not to laugh when she saw it! hahaha! Thankfully, i only heard the "dumpling conversation", i didn't see the incident with my own eyes, or i'll be bursting with laughter!

The main platter serving arrived. The seafood platter came on a "wooden ship" about the length of my arm! It's so pretty.
There's a mini crab, mussels, prawn, fish slices, lots of cabbage, lots of smelly vege(i call it cho cai (smelly veg), while in hokkien it's pang cai (fragantveg) i think), 2 stalkds of lemon grass, a glass tank of assorted mushrooms, cuttlefish (yucks), and crabstick.

The beef platter decoration wasn't as pretty as the seafood. It came on a huge circular plate, with beef slices and alot of cabbages and the tank of assorted mushrooms etc.

The entire dinner was enjoyable, and i think it's a really healthy alternative for a yummy feast!
We couldn't help listening to the conversations of the couple, as they were rather loud and crude.

I guess the guy didn't really enjoy his dinner, as there wasn't much for him to eat (they shared one serving..), as he complained about being served too much vegetables, and too little "meat"..
quoting what he said in chinese

"i thought we come here to eat lots of meat, but ended up eating so much veges"

the girl in response, kept saying that she's full, and told him to finish up the food.
and she kept saying she like veges, so she'll finish up the veg.

IF you ask me, i think they're sharing one serving because it's alittle too costly for the guy to afford, and the girl's just being polite and sweet by "claiming" that she's full, because the guy was still hungry!
It's pathetic la... what's wrong with guys nowadays?

Knowing me, you know what a feminist i am with almost everything, but if there's ONE thing that i just cannot tolerate, it'll be the obnoxious behaviour of BOYS la.

If you cannot afford it, be frank with the girl, and tell her about your financial condition. Im sure the girl would accept you for who you are, if she likes you enough, and not for the health of your bank account. You DONT have to impress her with lavish meals, and pretend to be well off.

If she likes you enough, i bet she'll be willing to eat shit with you, as long as it's with the guys that she fancies.

The last girls need, is to be sitting in some fancy restaurant, having to worry about whether guys would be able to foot the bill. And because we worry about you not being able to foot the bill (you male chauvinist refusing to go dutch), we'll be polite enough to pretend that we're on a diet, or that we have a really small stomach etc.

Just the other day, Z and i were just talking about this exact matter, where she was relating to me about a her experience over a dinner and movie with this guy. .

She had dinner at NYDC with him, and she just keep having this feeling that the guy's unable to foot the bill, even before they started ordering food.
So she kept asking him if he wants to share the bill, and worst, she even offer to pay for his share. But he refused. Being polite, Z has to pretend that she's wasn't feeling hungry, and shared a baked rice with the guy. Crap! And i do have to point out the fact that it's just ice water they're drinking as well.. No desserts! It's just $9.90 for baked rice, and 10% service charge, and 5% GST. Gosh! What an experience!

It's as good as meeting up with the girl, and telling her to watch him eat ! Gross so much for dating!

When i heard about it, i couldn't believe that there guys like this still exist in SG. The fact that they know that they're about to be going on a date, shouldn't it occur in their pig headed mind that they have to be prepared to cough up so cash if they wanna play the part of the sauve, "gentlemanly" role?

Rather, if you're straight forward enough, it's the year 2006! Where female rights are already part of the culture and everyday life. You NO Longer need to worry about footing the bill, w ladies have our own spending power! With men, we're happy, Without men, we're as happy!
And that i can assure you, being able to accept the splitting of the bill episode, might actually lighten the atmosphere while going on a date.

You (guys) wouldnt have to worry about going broke, and we (ladies) wouldn't have to pretend to be dieting. Both parties would enjoy the date alot more than an attempt in male chilvary, where you couldn't even afford it in the first place.

My dessert at JuJu was Pearl Harbour..which is quite yumy, while Boo had vanilla icecream, and Boo's mom had green tea pudding. Yums!

Hard at work!

Being hard at work, gave us opportunities to take pictures! Haha!
We were given a job to distribute flyers! The job's really fun, and our boss's really nice to us.
While working, we were given time to enjoy the high tea, and were each given a goodie bag that were left from the media launch party of Talika Lipocils. It supposedly helps your eyelash to grow longer, and fuller within 28days! Aha! Just the product that i need!
Haha!
The product doesn't come cheap either. It's either $43 for a small tube of mascara like gel, or $63 for the bigger tube.
I'lll just give the $63 sample a try, and i'll do a review on my lash 28days later ya? Alright!
If it works, it'll definitely be worth the money, to get pretty camel like lashes! *slurps*

I woke up late for the council meeting that i'm supposed to attend today, and i rushed around like a mad girl...luckily Kenny was there early to fill in the space.
I went over to the sleeping boo's house after meeting, and enjoyed disturbing him...with the exceptions of the bad tummyache that surfaced with no apparent reason. It hurts really badlyla.

Boo sent me home and headed for work work, while i waited at home for Zoe's arrival at my place... The 2 of us were hard at work fixing up "project storeroom".
I shan't disclose too much about our project, until the time's closer, and when everything's more or less ready and up.

This is sure gonna be one very busy holiday for me. But i'm enjoying it, nontheless! yay!
Boo boo's gonna bring me to the movies tmr, and it's gonna be...... Over the hedge tmr! So i gotta sleep early! *grinz* And i kinda need to get a haircut soon, only that i've absolutely no idea, what i'm gonna do to my hair!

*psst! Boo discovered a new recording function on MSN earlier, and i caught on rather quickly! Heehee

la da la di dum

(bottom left going clockwise: Tiramisu, Strawberry Shortcake, and Mango Mousse)
Though my cakes look skinny, the length of th cake compensated for the skinness of it's width. =)

Yes it's yet another day of indulgence with Zoe the bad company. Everytime we're together, it always involves lots of sinful activities! Haha! Our indulgence of the day is .... Bakerzin!

A slice of Tiramisu, and mango mousse for me, (yes i'm greedy..what's new?) and a slice of strawberry shortcake for her.
We had Xiao Long Bao at Crystal Jade again, and we went shopping Blah blah blah...

I dropped by Boo's office, and delivered xiao long baos to him too!!! haha!
Poor boy have to work, while i was wondering around.... that's why he had yummy food too!

I bought myself a new ring! Yes i know it looks like cheap trash kinda metal that's worth $0.50. But i can assure you that it is not! Cheap it may look.
It's huge, heavy and most important of all, i like it!
Looking at the picture, the camera made my laptop look so pretty, bringing out the best of it's sparkly and glittery exterior that made me fall in love with it in the first place, but made my ring look boring.

Anyways, i had a long day, and im feeling all wonky and sick again. It's time for bed.

sick and simple moments

Im sick again! Was running a horrible temperature and having a blast of bad headache the night before! I felt so miserable lying in bed alone with the horrible throbbing headache, while the rest of the world was out celebrating mother's day. =(

Boo came by after his dinner with his family, and that made me feel alot better. he conned into drinking this "cooling water", telling me it's this orange jammie drink. It was after several gulps, before he told me about the cooling water. Hmpf Mr smarty pants! (doesn't mean i'll drink liang teh and yong sum and all that yucky stuff huh!)
After the "miracle water", the paracetamol, and dinner, and i was more or less alive and well.

I fell asleep at 12 plus, and woke up at 3am feeling like a warm oven. Drank water like a camel, but that didn't help much either. Sick, sleepy, but just couldn't sleep.

Slept for alittle while, gave up on sleeping coz it's warm again, and i settled for cereals with cold milk! The boo dropped by again at about 4am, then we went out for a spin! I felt better after the spin, so i reckon it's the house air that's making me miserable. Haha!

I went for a movie with boo today, Poseidon. It's quite a good show, but i didn't like the faces of death, and all that destruction. I'm glad that the characters that i grew attached to, made it alive, while sad that thousands had to die with the boat. Luckily, it wasn't as emotional as Titanic!

There's supposed to be Council outing at Wild Wild Wet today, but having woken up with lingering fever, i wasn't feeling too wild, or craving to be wet, so i chose to give it a miss.

It's simple moments like today that reminded me how happy i can be, with just a movie, and a simple nap.

Even looking at MSN makes me happy la!
Yup, i know i'm being silly.
But i am happy, at least for the moment, i truly am =)

Thank you Boo boo

my saturday

Got woken up by Zoe's phonecall in the afternoon, and she came over shortly for lunch at my place, then we left for school together.
Reached school for our EXCO meeting, then went TCC at Holland V to chill after the meeting.
The service is superb la. My conversations got interrupted every 10mins for a refill of water, or the service guy talking about the pretty cakes when i tried taking a picture of my cakes, and many other scenarios. Sigh

Reached home and ate dinner, decided that the pix!e pig needs a bathe. Showered her, dried her and i fell asleep shortly!
Gosh! I was so tired. Selene kinda woke me up by enticing me with a "wanna meet up for alittle while" message. Well, that got me out of bed with a newly developed sorethroat, and we met up again, at holland. This time, it's Breko's.

We had this corner table, and were chatting happily, when this guy came and pointed to the seat next to me. He asked if anyone was sitting, so we said no, thinking that he wanted the chair..

Alas! He motioned for his friend to come over, and sat right down, sharing the table with us. That is like uber awkward la. The least he could do, was to attempt to separate the table alittle.
Selene and i, were speechless for like 10mins or so, and any subsequent conversations was made impossible, as the 2 guys were speaking damn loudly. Being visibly upset, we finished our food and drinks and left Breko. So much for catching up! Urgh!

Boo came and fetched me from holland after work, and i went for second supper with him at West Coast Mac, while Selene left to meet her darling.
I tried that new pepper drumlet despite my sorethroat, it tastes pretty decent.
We took a random shot, before i went home. I somehow look alittle fierce, while my idiot is acting cute.

Took a picture of Pix!e seeking solace in her friend the cow which Da named it Tinkerbell. What the hell? A cow named Tinkerbell! Pix!e took to Tinkerbell, like they're bestfriends. So puny and lost, my little piggie is. But cute!

Saturday, May 13, 2006

i got pretty engrossed with the candybar doll maker.
The hi tech version of "paperdolls" that i used to play. I've been at it since 2am til like 5am! 3 Hours! Haha I'm that bored *bleh*

Paper dolls... you know those cardboard japanese like dolls that comes in a magazine or a book that's filled with illustrations of dresses and clothes, where u detach them from the book, fold the tabs around the shoulder area, and hang those "clothes" onto the paper standee doll to dress her up? Yes you definitely know what paperdoll is!

I recall that none of my doll's ever lasted long, coz they always get a little creased up from all that abuse and accidents of squishing or stepping on her blahblahblah... (im never a good owner who takes cares of dolls...much less paper dolls la)

Yup Paperdolls! Whee!

Oh the online version allows me to choose her hairstyle, hair color, facial features, the clothes, shoes, switching from the cowgirl look, to bikini babe, to the uptown urban chic look and the best of all, they dont get crumpled or destroyed, what more can i ask for? hahaha Yeah... it entertained me for hours. Click
here to have a go!
There's version 3 too, but i'm more comfortable with version 2, despite the "older" fashion.
Whatever!

sloth day

yawn...

I led the life of a sloth today!
I slept, and woke up, watched the telly, and slept again...

I woke up and remembered watching the telly on discovery channel, featuring a "compeition" between Alpine and 5axis (using pioneer) in their attempt to design car interior filled with their brand's best gadgets that promises a whooping sound experience for people at the car show.

Alpine worked on the BMW, while the other worked on a Scion which is supposed to be a toyota equivalent. Pretty nice and interesting show...but i fell asleep a little too soon, and missed out on the end product where they feature their works at a consumers electronic show at Las Vegas or something...

Woke up again, and the telly was showing american choppers, (not really into bikes and all) so i went and ate my first meal of the day at 10pm, then napped alittle, and watched "too fast too furious" on the telly, then accompanied the boo to the doctor, and now im wide awake. Arhhhhhh!

Do i love my life, or do i hate my life?

Oh you know what? Linda darling's back!!!! I was in asleep in day when she called me...
she was like " Babe! I'm back!" and i was like... "huh, who are you?", in my groggy sleeping voice. I recalled hearing her laugh, and the rest of the conversation was a jumble of mess.

Pardon the lack of enthusiasm and the goofiness of my question.. i was asleep, and i was only expecting her to be back on the 15th of this month...
what a pleasant surprise! =)

X( I got to get my lazy ass to school tmr for council meeting in the afternoon...
But i'm wide awake now! What should i do next?

*oh and good luck to all of you who's due in school tmr with the WIL presentation ya? Score well, and impress the pants off those RMIT pple who'll be grading you guys! Woo hoo!!

This doesn't make sense, but im supposed to be at a BBQ for dinner with friends tmr, and Jumbo seafood for dinner with mommy. How am i supposed to be at 2 places at the same time??! I agreed to both appointments!! Opps!

Guess it'll make sense to get myself a PA in future, if i ever make it big or something...or i'll be screwed! Urgh...

I guess it's time to take the dust off my Xbox.. Bleh!

the ultimate self obsession

Yes!! It's the ultimate self obsession night for me! I haven't got the excuse to dress up for ages..
so it's self indulgence night, with zouk as the excuse! The last time i recalled dressing up, was for the West side story musical with boo...
So i deserve it! Yay!

Since i'm all dolled up, it'll be a waste not to have some camera time!!! Yes i did mention that i'm the ultimate vainpot of the day. Look! There's my black pot with the color broom bristle next to me... it's my art work! Nice?
According to the mommy, the black pot was previously some brown and ugly pot, used to store salted vege pot or tofu or something in the market.
No, my mommy's not a tofu or salted vege seller.... can't recall how she laid her hands on that pot, but i do have some recollection about daddy driving to some market, to collect that pot.

She made Daddy spray the pot black and because it was looking kinda empty, i added some poster colored broom bristles to fill in the blank! Hahah some cheap art deco la....but i love it still..

Zouk was the usual affair, but almost every freaking face that i know from RMIT SIM was there la. Every face looked familiar... it became rather confusing after awhile. I was rather worried about smiling at strangers...so i kept this really stern face whenever im unsure. Haha (the last thing u needed was to start smiling at some random stranger, thinking that he's someone from school...then he gets the wrong idea)

Zoe and i had fun hogging the platform for the entire dancing episode, and i guess i wasn't socialising much while dancing. It's been at least 2 months since i last set foot into zouk! You can't blame me for that! =)

I haven't seen the platform gang for ages, short for GuoYuan, coz i saw him at WestCoast Mac...and im glad to say that no one's changed much! But Jo dressed up today though, and she should dress up more often *Jo are you reading this????!

The sweet boo boo came and fetch me after we were done with lancing lancing, and we went for supper at Fongseng. As usual, Zoe gets teased by boo most of the time, and it's a funny sight to see zoe twacking his head with the beanie pig that she gave me for christmas. Haha!

Probably from the lack of constant clubbing.... i'm experiecing temporary deafness..there's like this perpetual ringing going in my ears...and i know it's definitely because of the deafening experience from zouk. yawns, it's time for bed..

Exams! It's finally over!

Exams! It's definitely over.
I'm truly exhausted, relieved, and happy at the pure thought of enjoying the holidays! Whee!!
I went to visit the sick boo, had tandoori and Naan for lunch with boo boo, then then went to town to shop, when he went to work. Ben happened to be nearby, so we hung out for quite abit, while waiting for the rain to stop.

I bought mommy her Mommy's day gift, an orange slice keyring from Braun Buffel... isn't it cute?? while Ben got himself a new wallet from Braun Buffel. (and all these while, i thought the card's expired for good....til i realised that it actually expires next april la! )

We were supposed to be having dinner with Robin, Kenny, and gang... but because of the rain...... oops! Oh well, i didn't mean to "put aeroplane" la Robin...We'll be there tmr, for sure!

I met up with Zoe, Daniel, and Eric for dinner for Laksa/Nasi Lemak at holland very much later at night. Dont know what these goondos were up to, hanging around in school til late la, and because it's Tuesday, We went Gelare for icecream and waffles after dinner!

We had a good laugh over dessert, discussing disgusting topics. It's been such a long time, since i last had a topic that has nothing to do with school, exams, studying, and all other boring stuff.
Laughed like mad over our disgusting topics and all, and i'd say that i really enjoyed myself today.

But as much as i wish to just bum around the entire holidays, reality crashes, with my never ending driving lessons, council activites with the coming AGM, orientation, bash...argh
Zoe, where are we going to find the time to freaking just rot at the beach, or even shop?
And there's the short trip that boo and i are planning to embark on, this holiday's gonna be real packed and busy! If only holidays would last for a lifetime *hee hee hee*

Oh well. --------------------------------

Entering my room, all i see is mess, mess, and more mess!! Piles and piles of clothes, (clean ones heaping in a corner of the room, soiled ones laying around in the toilet) papers, notes, stationaries, bags and more bags sitting on the floors and chairs, hangers strewn over the floor, accessories lurking at corners of the room, Yes its my war zone!

I had to pick up my mess, and i even changed the shower curtains la. See what a good girl i am *beams*

There's still the face to spring clean too. My face looks horribly screwed. Pimples galore, prominent panda eyes, and scars from itchy fingers. Urgh!

voting day ?

Look! Some idiot freaking spammed my tagboard just yesterday! It was a whole list of different people with some stupid web Link that looks suspicious la! i refused to open up la. It's either some porno, or virus..definitely not something good.
Upset!

It's polling day today, but i didn't get the chance to vote. Nope, not because i was underage, but the fact that my area's got no competition. Love the peace loving people around, but i wanna have a go at voting! Bah!

Met up with Roy, Mandy and Winston for lunch over at NYDC with my boo. Was meant to be surprise no. 2 for the boo boo, but i gave up and spoilt the surprise the night before. It was a mild surprise for Mandy though. Happy Belated Birthday girl!

Haha. I woke up late, and so did Winston...Boo came to pick me up, and we rushed over and had a late lunch. It was nice catching up, and i am ever so grateful and thankful to Roy, for helping me with all the surprise plans so far, despite his busy work plans and my hopeless unworkable plans that often lacks practicality, and with no contingency plan to back up with.
haha!

Hee hope our short holiday plans would eventually work out *grinz*
Will have to see if boo can get his schedule swapped, and if sheila could take leave and Mandy, and Winston and other factors blahblahblah.

It's Ben's birthday today, and being the forgetful buddy, i kept thinking that his birthday is on the 5th, instead of the 6th!
oops! My bad! But Happy Birthday Bud! Thanks for being there for me, whenever i needed someone to talk, listening to my endless complains about everything in the whole wide world, even though if it is just pure crap!

Yup 3 Papers down! Management accounting, here i Come!!!!!
woo Hoo!

I'm actually quite tickled by this japanese Bakafish variety show called Hard Gay. Hoo! Haha.

pictures from the phone

When words fail to cheer up any sad spirits, pictures always do the trick!
I was stuck between the choice of studying, or loading pictures from my phone...
No prizes for guessing my choice of actions. =)
Some random blury pictures that i snapped with my phone. It's blurry coz i was acting sneaky alright!

(from left to right, stands a lady, a guy with his hands reaching out to the lady's chest, and a guy with a masked face that's holding onto a gun)
The text at the bottom says: " i was made to feel a right tit."

Condom on the left asked " what's the matter with you?"
The right condom replied, " i'm getting pissed off."

Lastly, it's the smiley cake that i got, while i was hanging out at Mac's a few days ago.
A cute guy queueing before me, told me that my cake's cute. I replied him " Yup i think so too", and smiled on, biting onto my tongue occassionally, while he waits patiently for his drink, and i wait for mine. (coz i didn't know how to expand the conversion with cakes being the starters.... you know how awkward it is?!?)
Ha haha!

*The 2 humour tee graphics as pictured above, are a product of Topshop, Topman.
Figured out that i should account for the source of origins of the funny pictures.

pretence

Feeling numb to everything once again, as i hit the wave of depression of thoughts.
It's HMT tmr, and i haven't started on anything yet.
In the process of spring cleaning some thoughts and memories away, coz it longer proved to be happy.
It was just faux and a whole load of pretence and deception and many what nots. A pretty picture, only to rip it all away, to discover a horrible secret hiding behind. But that's life for most humans isn't it?

What a cruel world.

Happy birthday Boo!

It's the boo's birthday today! I woke up really early (1pm) and dressed myself up for lunch. We headed over to Corduroy and Finch that's located along the Bukit Timah stretch.

The food there is nothing to shout about, just "a pretentious place with overpriced dishes and bad service" (i quoting Bernard). Yup, i ordered chicken fillet with white wine sauce, while boo decided on the sirloin with herb, and we both had the triple mushroom soup. The soup's good, but my chicken's nothing to scream about.

Serving portion was fine...but it just wasn't fantastic. It was horrifying to know that the bill doesn't come with a bill jacket ( you know the black "leather" thing that they present to you with the bill, where u either place your card or cash into, and fold it, before presenting it back to the service crew?) It was alittle turn off, but seriously it's not as bad as i made it out to be. Just that i didn't quite enjoy the dining experience.

Leaving the place, as we were heading towards the car, i spotted this bunch of chicken hanging around the grass patch. So i decided to take a picture of them enjoying their outdoor time.
As i got into the car, the chicken leader decided to march across the road, and the other chicken happily marched along.

I can't decide if they're smart or dumb. They crossed blindly, yet they know their way home. Errrr The complexity of the bird brain i'd suppose.

Headed over to the Little Red House at East Coast for some seafood. I meant alot of seafood.
As usual, dining in with his folks proved to be a gluttony experience. I'm not complaining, but you'll literally be full to the brim. Here's what they ordered:

1 steam crab
1 black pepper crab
1 Bamboo Clam thingie (love the sauce! slurps!)
1 pot of drunken prawn (yummy, which i ate like half the portion, while they, meaning the boo his mom and dad ate the other half)
vege 1 kang kong
vege 2 spinach with chinese mushroom
vege 3 unknown
cripsy chicken
some tofu dish
cod fish.

After being stuffed, we went back to his place, to cut the birthday cake!
It's a macadamia nut with white chocolate cake from secret recipe, with rainbow sprinkles on it! It's pretty, and it looks fluffy, with words that says: " Happy birthday Leonara". Haha, the D looked like an A. so it's Leonara, instead of Leonard.

I brought back a quarter of the cake along with me, for supper, breakfast, and to share. *slurps*

What a birthday!

Oh what did i get for him?
A Raoul shopping voucher. (was at wit's end about getting him a nice gift. So a shirt or a belt would be nice. But shirts shopping is a difficult task, he's gotta be there to try it on la. So a voucher is good!)

And naturally, there was also the failed surprise attempt yesterday night.
I wanted to surprise him by appearing at his car, when he's done with his work.
So i took a cab to Millenia Walk's carpark.
But Guess what? The einstein here couldn't locate the car (you have any freaking idea just how huge the entire carpark is? The freakin thing is practically an underground network of centenial tower, millenia shops plus office, landscaping plus hotels etc... you know how far i walked just to locate the car?!!?). So by the time he was done with work. I'm still wandering around aimlessly looking for his car! ARgh!
You could just imagine how frustrated i was.

My dear birthday boy actually parked his car at Marina Square. WTH. my 2nd failed attempt with surprise. I had to eat supper, to make myself feel better, while getting laughed at for my silliness.... *sad face*
I'm never gonna dabble with surprises anymore, always end up upsetting myself in the process . Bleh +(

Leonara Quacks, u'd better learn to appreciate all my failed surprise attempts! Hmpf!
*makes a grumpy monkey face*
