picture ramblings
The boo boo posing with my folder of recipes and his cake of labor...the Banana Walnut Cake!
With the help of his mom, and Daph-na the kitchen helper, it was more or less a success!
Woot! But i could not really taste the walnut...coz boo said that i chopped them into walnut dust... =(
We couldnt locate the local banana, so we made do and used the huge delmonte type of banana, and the cake wasn't quite fragrant...but it's still a good cake!
YunWei and Jo invited Zoe and I over to Essential Brew at Holland village for a food tasting session! Essential Brew has kindly agreed to advertise in the Council's RMIT University Magazine (RUMAG for short).
So we were given a chance at food tasting, in order to conduct a food review in the mag!
Happy people we are, we couldn't resist not taking any pictures, so there we go, pictures of the delicious food, and not forgetting pictures with the guy that made our night possible! Evan, the Managing Director of Essential Brew! He's only a year older than Zoe and i, and he's already an entrepreneur! Puts us to shame...sigh..
Here's what we had for dinner..
A variety of drinks, mine's the cup on the right hand corner. It's Vanilla obsession! Woot!
There's the tofu Steak and baby potatoes and breaded mussels for starters
then there's salmon, dory fish, and chicken for the main course,
And as for desserts, there's the cute shooter looking fruit drinks that's accompanied by 2 scoops of icecreams that are separated by chocolate poky sticks!
We girls were spoilt for choice!
We hung out at Essential brews til late (they were abt to close), and being bored..Zoe and i proceeded to Crystal Jade, and continued stuffing ourselves silly.
Mr Johnny Xie decided to drop by and joined us, and together, we brain stormed many ideas for the coming council events!
See what hard working people we are! We mix work with pleasure, and it's always such a nice feeling.... *yums!*
Zouk on Wed was good as usual, and i arrived late, and left slightly earlier to have supper with the boo.
My maggi goreng was such a long wait, but i had fun listening to the agonising stories that XT, Danny and Boo have to share with me.
I was supposed to go for a swim with boo. We've been shelving swimming for days! It was either because Boo couldn't wake up in time for a swim before work, or it was because i overslept, and as for today...it's all the rain's fault!
The both of us, especially leonara is upset with the weather. So we naughty grumpy things, decided to send my poor phone into Nokia Care at Wheelock, for repair.
My poor phone.. is unable to charge. After 2 years of constant toiling, the 7610's finally down.
So i've lost a whole load of SMSes that i treasure alot, as well as quite a no. of contact no. that the Customer Service lady "claimed" to have transferred over to my SIM card, and of course... the lost feeling of not having my phone in my hand/pocket/bag.
I went home with the battery, memory card, the pink casing, and the ribbon that i tied onto the phone....and in my hand, i'm holding on to the panasonic X66.
A pretty lilac/lavender phone, but unfortunately one of the most unfriendly phone to use.
I had such a hard time figuring out the functions available, as well as to reply SMSes, while having lunch at Sakae.
Of all days, they have to run out of Chawanmushi today! Everything's going unsmoothly for me today! First the weather, next the phone, my poor patchy the hippo with recording functions is spoilt agian, and now the egg. (sounds familiar to you, boo?)
Bah! Tomorrow will be a better day, because we're determined to swim! The weather better be good, i'll cook my own version of chawanmushi if i have to, get mommy to charge the pretty but useless phone for me, repair patchy myself, and end my day really happy! Whee!
Time to Zzzzz
