Vain pot talking

Oh hello!  So many new mask for me to try out!
How exciting!
Yeah, you probably could tell that I'm still undergoing my skin toys phrase!
This time round, it's the sister that's asking me, just how many faces do I have to finish them all.

Hahaha.

She contributed to the Hello Kitty ones!
They're pretty awesome and cute to boot. :D
Ima happy girl!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
May all of you have peace, joy and happiness.

I spent the day before Christmas eve gift wrapping presents meant for the children's home.
Well I didn't sleep that night, because there was so much to be done.
I played with the brother's soldier set for the last time, before wrapping them up really nicely.
I hope the recipients of the presents would be happy this christmas.

Look here's my tree with all the pressies!
I themed the tree pink and purple this year! Pink for DA, and Purple for iisa.
I do love what I do!
Oh, and there's red lights and red butterflies fluttering on the top.

The wrapped up gifts ones were brand new.
While the ones placed behind in shopping bags, were the used toys meant for sharing generically.
There's also the bag of stuffed toys waiting to meet a new girl bestie.
I'll miss my toys for sure, but I do believe that for all the happiness that those toys brought me, it's time to bring the joy over to someone else.

Being able to share my happiness with another person, I sort of like how it works.

So while I was slave wrapping the night away, I kept imagining how each kid's face might look like, when they unwrapped my artwork.

Luckily, Mommy's nice enough to drive me to the home, and I had the help of X to help carry the stuff around, transporting them from home to car, car to home.
Of course, without Claudia, this gift session would not have been possible.
I do feel very blessed indeed.

We adjorned for food after the deed was done, and I went home to catch up on my sleep.
#SoVeryTired

Woke up and headed out for our christmas dinner with the fam, and we went alittle nuts at Uniqlo after dinner.
There wasn't any sale, but I needed the Heattech for next month's china trip, and the fam's Japan trip.

Here's the brother and Trixie photobombing!
Wore red dress, and felt like a little Santa elf during dinner.

uhhh, and of course the doggles needed the festivity as well right!
She's wearing her strawberry candy cane dress.
Gonna be darn useful for the coming Chinese New Year too!

Borrowed Winnie the Pooh's santa hat for bunny.
It fits Bunny really well.
There's even a slit for bunny's ears to fit into.
How apt!

Shall end off this post with my glowing red tree.

May your days be merry and bright.
and may all your christmases be great!
(changed the lyrics alittle, since there isn't any white christmas in SG)

New enlightenments

Trixie is quite the smarty.
She observes my footwear and analyses her chance to go out.
Hahaha.

With slippers, there's like a 90% chance that's she's heading out.
When I'm in heels, 98% chance she's staying home.
And with wellies?!
Hahahaha

So says the tweet

Hmm does this sound vaguely like me?

December...

Did a fashion show on Saturday, and client gave Claud and I a box of cupcakes each.
I was truly quite hungry by the time I was done with work, but cupcakes for dinner, doesn't quite fit the bill...
Pretty little things they are..

I realize that everytime I come up with a weird expressions, I'll get forehead lines, and Claud would definitely nag at me.
Is it even normal to have this much lines on the forehead?
I think i'm aging.

Okay, i'll go botox them away soon.

And after that I might just have 1 expression to boot in pictures always.
Ahahahahah.

Post Botoxed expression might just turn out looking like this forever (I believe 6 months is almost forever).
I'm not sure if i'll be able to live with that though....

Bought kitty stickers, and stuck them on my phone.
Mommy saw and I offered them to her.
Our phones are now stickerfied like a sticker zoo.

New mesh jumpsuit and a nice backdrop I found at Park hotel the other day, so like any tourist mentality, needa take picture with self and backdrop to prove my presence.
Ahahahaha.
#SelfHigh

I officially am inspired to take up belly dancing now!
Their shimmy is absolutely delicious!

Haiweewee girls in action (If you watched Hotel Translyvania, you'll catch my drift)

Want a kat!
Scottish folds  always looks so squishable.
Is that even a real kitty?!

Went over to Pet lovers at Holland, and Trixie met a friend!
Her friend's called Paris, and is 8 years old + a legend of her own.
I tried taking pictures of both of them, and this is the outcome...
Paris 1 pose. Trixie all over the place. :(

Apparently Paris walks about perfectly without a leash, super manja with owner, and is on diamond behaviour.
 Trixie is just pffft.

I consoled myself that Trix managed to sit and stay on demand.
At least there's still a show and tell factor, so that the both of us wouldn't look too pathetic.
Hahaha.
Of course, I'd also laugh it off due to age limitations.
1.5 years old vs 8 years old dog.

The lady is really nice actually.
She shared lots of tips with me and invited me over to commonwealth to make friends with more dog friends.
#ForeverAloneTrixie

I was hijacked in conversation at Petlovers for nearly an hour.
My mom thought I was never coming back home with the dog.
Ahahahaha.
#MakeNewFriendsEverywhere
---

I burst out laughing when I saw this self control picture.
Trix definitely needs to learn lots of it.
Bet she'll get there at 8 years old.
7.5 years to go....
Lots of faith involved here.
:)

I'm aiming at 1 biscuit on the nose and if I push the limits, 1 in the mouth.
ahahahah!

It was chilly at night.
I decided that the dog was bored.
Therefore....

Here's us in matching couple outfits!

---
Miss grumpysarus.
She sulked the entire morning, just because she saw the ......
Luggage emerging out of the storage room.
Awww...
I'm not sure how the dog would feel about my career in the skies if I ever attempt to be an airstewardess

Packed the wardrobe and discovered an A&F tee that I received from KW like 200 years ago from uni days, and I only wore it for the first time last friday.
#GuiltyFriend

I paired it up with an equally ancient skirt that I made myself.
Such a trivial design, yet still so smug about it.
Tsk!

But I thought it looked decently cute together for movie night!
Only to realize that Hobbit is a 3 hour movie in 3 parts!
I semi froze in the theatres.
But I enjoyed myself, frozen or not!
Looking forward to the next installments.
Part 2 and 3 soon please!

Ok bye for now!

Winter

Just uncomatose from my nap after work with awesome breezy weather to boot.
As to why I'm awake is strangely beyond my comprehension as well.

Ahhh actually it's because my 18-hours-in-a-row sleeping talent will be rudely disrupted, if certain conditions are not met.
Without a proper bath + clean off the make up gook on the face and etc.
I'll usually itch from mysterious bacteria attack in my sleep and wake up grumpy from it.
Hahah!

And that there's so many stuff to finish up on my end, but inertia is getting the better of me, and i'm stuck idle surfing.

Did some research digging on temperature and
In my head..
18-23 degrees seems akin to the temperatures in our local malls.
Hmmm is that even considered winter?
I asked myself.

Commonsense says
it's winter la, go bulky, puffy, pile on the layers and ignore the stats.
You're gonna regret and die in the winter if you dress skimpy!
Hug a heater along, if you must!

This is why numbers will always be numbers.
It's never ever going to make sense to me in this life time (with the exception for shopping and discounts)
I'm quite brilliant at those though!

It's been so chilly at night, I've been procrastinating about bath time whenever I have to take a shower.
I'll turn on the shower heater, mope around the bathroom, lose the courage, and head out to camp in front of the macbook again for another hour, before attempting to shower.
Going back and forth, until I work up all the courage to erm...really shower?
Let's call it a bath time constipation then.

Brrr..

I'm in love with them all!

To Japan or not?

The father has been baiting me to take a holiday with the fam the entire weekend. and just minutes ago he's doing it again with pictures, itineraries,
And blah.

I'm semi considering because its been years since i last set foot into japan.
Next, the price is cheap, not forgetting the glorious food!
However, there's too many other considerations on hand as well..

Halp!

Oh Hello there!

It's been quite awhile since I've erm...connected with the world.
Life has been full of work because it's December, and also because the team's running on turbo in preparation for the coming S/S 2013.
Rwarrr!

I just want to sleep. :(

I crashed to sleep with wet hair some nights ago (so tired I was), and woke up to this hair!
Its really weird that most people usually get up to a head of wonky bed head, and I on the other hand, looked as if I've gotten a free perm.

The awkward moment when you wake up and realized that sleeping gave you a decent perm job. Haha!
Of course must exclaim! It only happens when I sleep with wet hair.

When I sleep with dry hair, I'll get my usual tousled waves that I wear out everyday.
I kinda like how my hair amuse me on a daily basis. :)

Heading out for lunch with curly bed head and my studded hairband.
To date, I've yet to hunt down the hairband that Audrey wore the other day.
:(
so this studded version would suffice for now. :D
Ok and I love my dual strappy top.
Likey!

The new collar necklace.
I bought one set for the sister 2 years back, and told her it's gonna be the new trend.
I couldn't recall if it was the pearl one or the black one that I got for her though.
Turns out that it was the black one that I got for her, so now we've got 2 of the same thing in the house. Hahahah, and guess what?

The fake collar detachable thingie is still hawt.
It's funny how with clothes and accessories, I really do have a knack for them, and someday, I'd be able to turn my gift into gold.

But I do meet people who happens to think that I'm just plain lucky to be able to consistently buy things at a steal of a price, and make things look good.
I held my tongue when I heard the statement.
"you very heng (lucky) hor, always kio dio (pick up) good buys."

Bitchy as it might sound, but sorry babe, I have to correct your statement.

It's "i'm very heng (lucky), to have been bestowed the gift of vision differently from you."
It's foresight in the ability to see how items could possibly shine in my possession.
It's confidence that even if an item cost me $10, I'd be able to make it look like a hundred bucks.

This, my dear friend, is confidence, not coincidence.

No, no, I dont mean to sound cocky, but I'm truly grateful to be bestowed with gifts from the universe, coupled with parents who loves me the way I am.
Thank you god.

Anyway, on a lighter note, been busy fooling with my sleek palettes.
It seriously arrived really quickly!
I thought the delivery was supposed to be Wednesday, but alas, no!
The make up haul arrived on the next working day. MONDAY!!!
Gosh.
Actually I reread the email, they did say that the delivery date was Monday.
But my eyes told me otherwise.

And the delivery dude told me at my door that he tried calling me on Saturday, but I didn't pick up. Otherwise, I'd have gotten it earlier.
Daphne, WHY LIKE THAT?!
Why didn't you pick up the freaking call :(

Okay..as I typed this, I've already fiddled with the palette and colored my eyes many times over.

The face prolly looks the same to everyone, but it's like a different routine to me.
Everyday I asked myself the same questions.

Naked, Natural or Sunset?
(palette colors, that is)
I've officially ditched the rest of the make up palettes until the joy and fun of the newer palettes supersedes the boredom!

(I really did that with the Elizabeth Arden 4x palettes that the mommy gave the sister and I)
But I was really really really careless with most of them and sort of smash them into bits somehow or another. So it was really just make up powder after awhile.
Other wise, those used to be my favourites back when I was in school.

Random outfit of the day. On the day I wore this skirt, I dropped tons of food whenever I started eating.
The lime part of the skirt at the knees were full of grease spots by the time I went home.
It was terribly so, when I started on my Wagyu beef burger with mixed mushroom from Mos burger. The mushrooms kept landing on my skirt instead of my mouth.
*mouth have hole says the mother*

Reassembled my accessories cupboard and decided to stack my rings into the newly bought ringholders.
I named this set of rings Love in a heart beat.
Seriously, my fingers aren't long enough to wear them all at the same time.
In fact, they all came from various sets and locations.
I'd usually just pick off 3 or 4 and rearrange them on my fingers.
Piecing it up, the name just came to me.
I'm a ringwhore. Everytime I walk into an accessory store, I have to check out all their ring varieties!

Okay, I got lazy and gave up on taking pictures of the rest of my extensive collections.

Randomies de family

Random family..

When I was about 16, and sucked terribly in school grades, the father used to say this over dinner to me that if I didn't do well in my coming O levels, he'll send me to China for further education. (Particularly so, when it was the end of a school term, and needed their signature on the report book)

I took his statement really seriously and hated China forever because I saw it as a punishment.
Haha.

Today, I got reminded again, because I f**ked up (Since they're under my jurisdiction, so it's my fault no matter what)
Therefore the daddy wanted me to sit into the weekly Saturday meeting to scream, clarify and be firm about stuff.

So there I was, groggy eyed, sitting around in my Pajammies next to dad, looking sad and feeling upset with the team, listening to skype (waking up to sit into the SKYPE meeting at 10am on a Saturday morning is like eating leftover horrible food on a very hungry day) Weird analogy..but whatever.
And so he said " you're going back to China this monday with me" somewhere in his angryish firm tone when he was talking to the team.
:*(

I think i'll go nuts, if I have to squeeze in time to fly to China.
Pull my hair bald or something, because it's super busy in SG at the moment, and flying there would be like a suicide.

Okay la,  I asked daddy over pizza dinner if I really needed to fly to China on Monday, and he said nope.
But for that, I've been spending the entire day like tightening the work process, vetting through and it's all in Chinese. T.T
and the remote server wasn't behaving today.
Rwar!!!

---
Mom cooked prawn noodles for lunch.
Post lunch, there was enough ingredients resting around for another serving, but nobody really wanted to eat up the noodles.
So there I was dealing with aftermath of the morning meeting, mom was chewing on an entire piece of fishcake herself.

My fingers stretched over to nibble on the boiled prawns nearby, and she said to me...
If you eat up all the prawns, what's going to happen to the rest of the noodle serving.
I said " you're eating up the entire fishcake anyway. What's going to happen to the noodles anyway?"

Haha.
Pot calling the kettle black.
Tsk.

Brother ate up the noodles with just soup, porkribs and beansprout.
Prawnless and fishcakeless.
Haha.

---
I announced that I'm darn hungry and asked if the family intends to eat dinner tonight.
okay, I was baiting the parents to drive out for food.
Daddy says that he wants pizza!
:D

I whipped out my dominos EDM and said yay!
Mom : it's 10pm. ordering 3 pizzas for supper is abit too much isn't it?
Daphne: Naww 3 pizzas is just enough.
Mom: mumbles about fats, unhealthy, bad for father, how I shouldn't have ordered a bottle of coke along with the pizza, and blah and how there wasn't any space in the fridge for leftoevers, and the pizza was supposed to be my dad's treat, and she ends up paying for it (coz dad's in the shower when the pizza guy arrived).
Haha.

Many munches later, everything was cleaned off.
Mom earned extra $4, coz daddy passed her the money and didn't want the change back
and the mother ate quite abit as well.

For someone who isn't quite the pro pizza eater, she's getting good deals.
Wah.. no fair.

On a sidenote, the dad said. Order something seafood for the pizza.
So I ordered Sambal prawns, Meatzza and Hawaiian.

When he started eating, he pointed to the Hawaiian and said, this is good, and ate lots of it.
-_-" so much for having a seafood craving.
But the sambal prawns are seriously quite good.

Conclusion, Fickle parents, therefore fickle Daphne.
---

Dad: Why is your dog skinnier than my Cats?
Daphne: *Indignantly, What do you mean by that! Flips dog to show off "fatty" areas like a butcher.
No skinny!
She's just nice.
Besides, she eats alot.

Daddy then exclaimed that it's Saturday.
Dog deserves more treats on a weekend.
Whut sort of logic is that?

Seriously, everytime the daddy's back, Trixie goes on a junkfood binge.
Every 2 or 3 mouthful of whatever the daddy eats, 1 portion would drop on the floor and the dog vacuums up in a blink.

I definitely inherit the mouth got hole syndrome from father.

First rate daphne

I chanced upon this when I was surfing for stuff!
It's so true right... especially those who always try to erm *ahem* copy me.
Go be a first rate self, instead of a second/third/fourth/gazillion rate somebody else.
You'll find that you're gonna be so much happier.

Oh yeah...

First rate Daphne is ♥

Floor rug

Been on crazy packer mode at home whenever I can spare the time.
Every time I do so, I'll feel as if a truck ran over me, or that I've just completed a marathon.
Body would ache, throat would be sore from the dust, and blah blah.

Dug out loads of old toys from the storage room and played with them!

Decided to donate away a shelf full of toys, but undecided on its intended recipient and cause.
I'm hunting for a children's home who's open to accepting kids stuff from me.

Unopened toys for boys and stuffed animals with tags to share the love around!

I want to share happiness with some kids ( least that's my intention)

Anyway, trixie's the proud owner of Choco.

The school friends bought Choco for me after my car accident when I was 12!
Been talking about getting Trixie a proper friend for a couple of months, and therefore Choco!
Yay!

Meet the floor rugs!
She doesn't look too pleased because Choco is about the same size as her, and is hard to lug around the house.
But they look cute together!
Awww..
