During Dinner, I had this conversation with DL about people overstepping their boundaries, especially friends and work. First of first, I'm all about the camp where we giving people chances because we are all learning and we are all human. No human is perfect. This I understand entirely and you will find that I am a very very very kind person by nature.
BUT if you are going to be the sort who will point fingers and attack (me), especially after I have pushed myself to extend every bit of myself to be hospitable, kind, friendly, sugar, spice and everything nice...
Have faith that I''ll find a million arrows to launch back at you until you repent, apologise or disappear from the surface of the earth.
How nice I can be.. is merely a reflection of how Un-Nice I will be when triggered or met with people who take advantage of my kindness.
So the saying goes "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" this theory applies for people who have not only overstepped boundaries, transfer their weight on my toes and counter blame me for the error.
I will hunt you, I bite you, and fling you around by the neck like a dog with it's kill instincts
(If you'll see how some dogs would ripped stuffed toys into fluff in just seconds that's just their killer instincts overriding their cuteness in every little fluffy doggles that you meet)
Well I'm just that sort of girl if you ever work me up into an anger.
*glares*
I will bypass every kind vein in my body, and have you ripped you apart, and mourn for your death when I'm done being angry.
Amen.
Sure I dont actually murder people in reality. But I will cut a person off completely from my life until I've found it within myself to forgive and be a peace with the matter/person.
Forcing me to surpress my anger just fuels the anger and frustration of the matter.
I mean WHAT is so difficult in just agreeing that a person's fucked up right?
Who's perfect anyway?
Obviously if I have taken offence in the matter, then the best way to placate me is to let me have my say in whatever the matter is right?
Nope.
In any case le bf refuses to accept the fact that I have been hurt/ wounded by said person during our discussion and he thinks that I'm over reacting and being dramatic as usual.
I refused to be caught in the middle babe.
I hate people who sit on the fence. Right is right. Wrong is wrong.
But That's alright.
It's just me against the world by myself.
Not like I've never been in situations alone that way...
I started young by the way.. when mom sent me to school and I constantly got bullied at 3 years old?
I learnt not to be a pushover, and By 5, I was girl boss in class.
#NoBigDeal
*yawn*
Who needs a guy to who would say "dont worry, I've got your back"
the crux of it all in the discussion is 天塌下来老娘自己学着顶, 顶不到at most 自己Gameover.
That's the rule of engagement isn't it?
Hahahaha. :D

Whats your anger type?
So I got mad today.
I took this anger quiz just for curiosity's sake, and here's my answer.
True enough that does sound like me.
I probably did mention some post ago, that I have a tendency to internalise whatever that makes me unhappy.
So when I think I've had enough, I'll just say my piece..bade adios, walk away and never look back.
Logically, many would think that attempting to cut ties with a person, is more of a verbal threat in coming to a resolution more than anything else.
But not for me. If something that makes me unhappy is keeping me weighted down, why not cut loose, break free and fly free?
I'm not heartless.
I'm just cleaning off unwanted emotions away from my life.
After all, I restore myself when I'm alone ~Marilyn Monroe
Cutting ties never seem to be difficult for me, especially if I'm convinced that the problem is never going to be solved after several attempts.
It is a bigger relieve to drop it, walk away and start anew.
There you go, you can call me heartless.
But a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

Weird people are weird
Meeting weird people often.
Is it me, or is it the same for everyone else?
Today's special, because I met 2 weirdos in a day.
I was on the bus home, and this Auntie, with plenty of shopping sat next to me.
She took up most of my seat with her marketing bags and it's alright. I'll live with it.
At my age, I'm totally used to my personal space being usurp by others when I'm seated on the bus, I stopped complaining about that.
But this Auntie's special!
She trapped me in my window seat, and started picking her nose the entire journey with her bare fingers!
Good lord! "Gold" digging is not the thriller, its how she sprinkles her "gold" dust like she's tinkerbell that's really gotten to me.
From her fingers she'll sprinkle onto her overflowing shopping that really got to me.
It was a really intense excavation session there.
It was a really intense excavation session there.
I swear I'll scream if her residue flicks or tumbles over to my end.
I wanted to offer her tissue, but the fear of her touching my fingers got the better of me... and I alighted screaming inwardly as I have to brush pass all her belongings when I got out of my seat.
Ahhhhh! Ahhh!!~~~
I googled my phobia.
It's apparently called Misophobia, or Mysphobia - the fear of being contaminated with dirt or germs.
It's apparently called Misophobia, or Mysphobia - the fear of being contaminated with dirt or germs.
It's nothing too serious, just that whenever I get into uncomfortable situations, I can see imaginary germs multiplying in my head.
How bad? you ask.
I'm not a fan of Barbecued food.
The visual image of raw food sitting in the ice box waiting to be BBQ-ed
That's like Germ Fest. They multiply.
Especially barely cooked Chicken wings disguised as a very charred up wing. :/
The insides look a little bloody.

Not impressed.
I am alright if the raw meat gets plucked out from the fridge and gets cooked instantly though.
The need for a fridge, and running tap water is very important, in my world of food preparation.

Dead fishes and fresh chicken at the wet market, waiting to be bought...
Should totally see my face whenever I try to accompany mommy to the wet market.
I scream murder if the fish water plops onto me. Ermagawd!!!
I wanna dieeee.
I walk very very slowly, just so that there is no splashing involved... the hardwork fails when the hawkers stomp around in their rubber boots, the fish "water" gets onto my slippers. :((((((

Mom will make me wait at the dry parts of the wet market because I'm too drama for her.
These days, I just skip going to the market entirely. The brother has taken over on big occasions.
My hero.
My hero.
hurhurhur.
And as a result, I rarely touch fish skin when it comes to eating fish.
Thats where all the bacteria hold their rave party at.
Venue: Fish skin.
Very mediocre bacterial analysis, I know.
Like I said, it's all in my head!
Lol.

Lol.
Toilet gunk.
The creepy stuff that creeps up in the wet parts of the bathroom. mold. Algae.
Nightmares are made of that as well.
Dirty Sweaty people.
It's love, If I hug you sweaty, even if I do that with a :/ face.
Dead animals.
Having pets, means having to deal with dead bodies when they eventually pass away.
Thankfully, my brother and I have different phobias of our own.
He'll scoop them up and place them in boxes for me.
I'll transport them when the deed is done, and when the mobile crematorium people are here to collect the bodies.
I cannot bear to touch.
He cannot bear to deal with the weight of holding our be"loved" furrykins in his hands.
Fostering Tiger and his siblings, I made le boyfriend drive all the way over to my place, to pick silver's tiny body, when she passed away.
I left her at the back door of my place. Not that I don't love her.
Sleeping with a dead body in my room / house is too much for me to bear. As it is, I was already sad enough from her demise... bacterial thoughts doesn't need to haunt me to make me sadder.
Hahaha.
I got a little more pro, by the time I got through to Heather and Precious. I can't recall how I survived Hammie and Tauriel. Since the 5 of them were dropping like dead flies one after another.
Maybe because Claudia was with me when the last 2 passed on, and/or their bodies were still warm and soft, so I wasn't so bacterial phobic.
Well enough dead bodies in 2 foster cases.

Digress again!
Sorry.
Lunch today at Holland V, I ordered drinks from my unusual drinks store, because le boyfriend says he wants Milo peng (Ice milo) to commemorate my unevenly tanned legs.
My drinks came up to $3.30
I had $4 in my hand, and I wanted to dig out $0.30 and the drinks auntie just yanked the two $2 bills out of my grasp.
That was rude.
Le Boyfriend said he would have asked for the money back just because money should not be snatched off. It has to be given.
Whatever la, I tolerate because I am in an okay mood today.
Besides, I'll just stick to the soybean drinks store, or the nice uncle who owns a schnauzer and loves Trixie whenever I bring her out for meals at the hawker.

I was hovering at Watsons, during their members sale.
The collagen strips that I usually consume is on sale!
I'm always half half about Collagen, because scientifically, there is no proven results about the effects it has on the skin. But since the ones that I bought are pretty tasty, I'll noms them whenever I remember to, like a sweet.
I was contemplating whether to try the Mango flavour ones for vitamin C, and the sales lady from the competitor booth informed me that one sachet a day isn't enough for our body's requirement.
I smiled back and went on with life.
She said that we'll need to take about 3-4 packets a day, in order to see results, and that hers was better Blah blah blah blah.
ONE
Never say whatever that I'm using isn't good.
I WILL DISLIKE YOU. Who doesn't?
TWO
I hate those powder packet thing. They taste terrible.
THREE
I'm an independent shopper. I hate nagging people diverting my attention away, especially if I didn't ask for service help.
I buy what I want.
I buy as I intend to.
Hard selling tactics always go terribly wrong with me.
When I grabbed my stuff and was about to leave, she exclaimed very loudly "it's not enough!"
I was holding my tongue to not reply her
I wanted so badly to yell
"REALLY?!" But i'm already 50 this year! This totally works!
and walk away just for the kick of it.
Obviously i'm not 50. But I just wanted to be sarcastic for the heck of it.
Alright I didn't retort.
The end.
Moral of the story is, sometimes life has a way of throwing weird challenges to you, just to help you work on your tolerance.
I salute people who can maintain smiley attitude, whenever the going gets tough.
I on the other hand, try to work towards that end goal, but end up shrieking here, just so that I can vent my frustrations.
Of course I receive a larger dosage of good service and chirpy people on my day to day life.
Life is good that way.

First quarter of the year has passed just like that.
Life is good the way it is, but I would not say no to BETTER!
:)
With a couple of birthday celebrations in tow at the start of the year, and my impromptu trip to Bangkok with the bestie, the first quarter was definitely fun and fruitful.
I started coughing a few days after my birthday / before my trip to Bangkok, and the cough never seem to have gotten better.
Fast forward a little, and I fell really ill last week.
it was like Wham!
I was down with fever. It was an unusual, crippling sort of fever that I am unaccustomed to.
I'm usually the sort of girl who'll still be running around town even if i'm sick or feverish.
Well, like I said, it is really different this time round.
My system crashed.
It was 4 days worth of fever, drugs and sleep.
I have always thought that I was good at sleeping for long stretches, yet falling so ill, totally reinvented the term "sleeping for long stretches".
I could not do anything, aside from sleeping, I was too sick to function.
I barely ate. Surviving mostly on liquid.
I guess it was lucky that DL was around because I wasn't functioning at all.
He lugged me to the doctor (because *sheesh* doctors are for the weak)
Spoke to the doctor on my behalf ( I was barely functional seated on the chair inhaling and exhaling for the doctor to probe and diagnose )
Bought lunch and stuffed it into my system,
lugged me home, and forced me to eat my medication, and seriously the cycle repeats pretty much.
It was wake up, eat meds, food, throw up, and lots of sleep x 4 days
Basically le bf was my personal nurse for 4 whole days.
My fever was so bad that mommy and DLwas beginning to suspect that I'm suffering from a case of Dengue.
I was so close to going back to the doctors to get blood test, and a jab for fever, despite my fear for needles.
Luckily things took a turn for the better.
I guess it was just the cough blowing out of proportion.
So drama.
After 4 days of lousy appetite and I realised that my shorts are noticeably looser than they need to be.
The minute I became better, le boyfriend brought me out to eat a buffet.
I was eating and eating and always hungry. It is as if I am making up for lost time.
It's been barely a week, and I've whacked up 2 buffets to date.
I reckon that the weight has been piled back since, at the rate I am eating.
May I not be THIS sick ever again!
Thank you very much.
That yellow pill in the picture is the grossest invention ever!
It's apparently an antibiotics meant particularly for respiratory infections.
It made me sicker than I need to be, left a bad taste at the back of my tongue, caused nausea, and in general caused food aversion.
Well I am So happy to be done with medication and fever!
Just minimal coughing and phlegm.
Life is good, but I won't say no to BETTER!

Oh hello!
Of the 23082982931092- pictures that I've edited over the span of ... weeks.
I'm most taken to this picture of my...nostrils.
Hahaha.
It's like. I wonder if the camera can detect what's inside my nose.Anyway so happy to be moving on to the next set of collection.
and also
happy to be done with...
ringworms. I caught them from godknowswhere I swear!
It started with a mosquito bite and it evolved into a ringworm in a couple of days.
I now know who really loves me even if i'm "dirty".
I'm gonna tell santa who's been nice to me!
Now i'm just waiting for the worm "bites" to fade away.
Consciously alternating between the bio oil that the mother swears by, and the anti fungal cream from the fridge.
I'm super thankful that the ringworm stopped at 2.
Khamsahamida!
slipped off the stairs in slippers. Well done.
I earned myself a sore bum, and a juicy bruise on the elbows when I broke my fall.
How it happened?
Claud thinks I might have been too happy and bounced off the stairs, while I think it's all slipper's fault.
Kicked into the cupboard. Newly acquired bruise on the knee.
I shifted the rackety old cupboard and have to wait for muscle men to remove them from my house.
In the meantime, I forgot they exist, and walked right into it, in the dark!
I'm Bruise Lee after all! :D
Fever! It's like a 3 day fever fest. Everything hurt. from the bones to the scalp. I didn't even want to comb my hair. The detangling tugging hurt me so much, I gave up and went on with life with messy hair.
I also couldnt locate the thermometer, so I never quite knew how much damage I was into, only that I transit between chilly cold (I sit around in my PU jacket meant for 15-20 degree in this crazy hot weather, shivering), to being a super baking HOT girl! *flips hair*
Gosh!
Now that i'm done mumbling about the terrible stuff...
There's the good stuff as well to balance it out.
Like how Claud covered work for me, while I was ill. Super love her for being kind to me.
Or how when it rains, and being stranded umbrella-less + sick, Someone sells you the idea of walking through the rain in a cupboard box, and giggle your way through it because it's super funny.
Raise your hands if you've tried walking in a box like you're doing lion dance!
I enjoyed myself! Love again!
Oh! and my new toy! The sony Alpha 5000 :D
in pink! That's love as well!
Ben heard that I was sick and offered to send congee from crystal jade over, since he was at Wala. *touched*
and getting concerned messages from friends, because I sounded emo in my previous post.
super touched as well!
and I had the best sick person food over the weekend.
I asked for steamboat at home...because i'm really a very soupy person by nature, and we had my favourite pork collar with sesame sauce for dips!
and the charcoal congee at Tiong Bahru for lunch today.
All super love!
and I've been told that I'm gonna get a package from a friend in Sweden earlier today..
---
It's like, getting bad stuff in exchange for lots of good stuff.
What more can I complain about?
Besides, I dont need many friends, because I'm blessed with friends who matter, friends who cares.
Quality over Quantity
That's more important to me.

If I were a boy
Just sometimes, I wished that I was a boy.
You know.
Firstly, being an asian, it's goddamnimportant to have a boy to carry the family name.
and sometimes I catch my mom telling me that if only I were a boy..
So logically it'd be cost saving/efficient/ plus my character's pretty much like a boy especially when I work myself into an anger fit. I cuss like friggin pirate and get pretty scary.
So whenever I get into one of my angst pirate cussing mood. My mom would say to herself..should have been a boy.
tsk.
Sometimes I wished I were a boy, so that I'll never be seen as the weaker sex.
Never be bullied. Clawed. hair being yanked at. NEVER be told.. you're just a girl pooh!
My mom's the "world peace" sort of woman, I being brought up with rainbows and unicorns I never knew what it was like to enter hell until she sent me to play school in a church, because back then only selective schools had pre-nursey.
My earliest memory as a kid consist of little scenes about being shoved around by the bigger boys in the class. I was probably only 3 years old.
They were vicious to me.
Just because I was nice to be bullied.
Just because I wouldnt comply to their demands.
My mom would randomly recall that I refused to go to school because my classmates kept pulling my hair etc. and I insisted that my grandpa would have to accompany me to school.
Grandpa escorted me all the way til my birthday (she bribed me with a birthday cake. and my birthday is in February and school term starts in January.)
Do the math and tell me when did the bullying start?
I wouldn't go to school just because I hated being near boys.
I hated being with people.
But I wised up and learnt to fight back. (Otherwise how you reckon I survive the rest of my school days?!)
I grew up with cousins 3 boys of the same age (amongst other 19 cousins in total).
Comparisons was aplenty. Fought with them, over stickers, furniture, icecream flavours, scale up the door frame quickest, first dips to the toilet.
Getting fingers slammed whatever.
The spunk in me, came from that fact that I'll never win, if boys play rough. But you dont get away with glee/spotlessly clean from bullying me either.
I'll never measure up in strength
And I'm always told. You're just a girl. You should not be fighting with them.
But what? Sit around and let them pull my hair? Call me names? Steal my stationaries, snatch my stickers.
Sorry no.
I vowed as young as I could remember that I will NEVER be a pushover again.
That I may not measure up physically, but mentally, you'll never get me down.
Bicycle racing with neighbour. I flew and hurt my face, elbows and knees on the concrete road.
Went home and got a lashing from the mother because i'm a girl. What if the scar on the face stays and never fades blahblahblah.
Sorry.
I'd rather die trying and scarred, than to be humilated. taunted. bullied.
just because I'm physically a girl does not mean that I've lost.
There's a difference between being a "loser" and a loser.
"loser" refers to people who are mentally ill disciplined.
"I cannot"
"I Cant"
You have not even tried, and you say you can't?!!
Of course you lost.
and Losing after competing out giving your best.
That's proper losing.
Besides, if you want something bad enough, you would do whatever it takes to attain it.
Someone snatched your stuff away and you shrug it off?
You must not have liked your stuff enough to stand up and fight to get it back.
Road bully my mom when she's driving?
Steal her parking lot outright.
My mom likes world peace much? Nevermind, her daughter's around.
Bully my brother in school.
I rallied hard that he learnt Taekwondo. and I promised I'll bail him out from school if shit happens (like if he ever fights back in school).
Because I'd rather he knows how to fight back, than be beaten up alive and scarred forever and regret not learning how to fight and defend himself.
If war comes to your face. you stare at it right in the face.
I do not waste time feeling sorry for myself.
I stand up tall, I stand up strong and I move on.
For I cannot be meek and submissive and allow bullying to happen in my face without fighting back.
I looked at myself in the mirror and swear this is the last time I'll be treated like this again
The broken trust and being hurt in more ways that I can ever think of.
You must be proud of yourself now.

I've been missing out on this movie called the Divergent, and before I even found the time to catch the movie, I've been asked to take the test to see which faction would I belong to.
Apparently according to the test, I belong to the Candor faction.
For someone who has not caught the movie, I found the personality trait description rather true, and I've taken excerpts from the wiki to share...
So, these Candor characters range from being talkative and social, to emotionally volatile and peaceful, to cruel and sadistic.
Many children born into the Candor Faction, could/might tranfer to the Dauntless faction, since honesty and bravery are closely related. (Cool!)
Candor are serious about their views on honesty against dishonesty, and they see honesty and trustworthiness as the very foundations of morality and character.
They look upon honest individuals with high respect, and upon dishonest individuals with deep contempt.
Some might describe the Candor as being honest to a fault, sometimes honest to the point of sounding like an insult.
A member of the Candor faction would rather insult someone with honesty, than to lie.
Viewing complete and utter honesty as the ultimate moral and intellectual perfection.
Candor children are seen to make wide gestures with their hands and often appear to be arguing or having intense discussions.
They are very truthful and would frankly and tactlessly say what they feel.
Funny how it really sounded like it was describing me.
I could be talkative and social in a setting and flip to the peaceful and quiet side of me rather quickly.
Emotionally volatile only comes with those who are close to me, who have upsetted me greatly, or caught me on a bad bad day.
As for cruel and sadistic, you must really wonder, but I'll elaborate on that later.
As for cruel and sadistic, you must really wonder, but I'll elaborate on that later.
I extremely agree that when i'm being utterly honest, it really hurts.
Not because I want to hurt people intentionally, but rather because they matter enough to me, that they deserve to hear the truth about anything. Whether they like it or not.
Like if something IS ugly, I'll say it as it is, to save them the embarrassment of looking like a fool.
Oh well, but the core of it though, is that I fucking hate liars.
When I find out that someone lies to me.
They're better off dead than talking to me for a looooooooong while.
It's like an insult to my integrity and existence, plus I've got a looooong memory to boot.
So that pretty much sucks big time, and here is where the Cruel and sadistic part of the earlier description comes into play.
Lol.
I chop friendships.kinship.relationship very quickly (otherwise cruelly), when their "innards" are dirty so as not to taint my life with their nonsense.
My motto probably goes like...
Better alone, than to live with a Liar.

Should you want to read more about Candor in detail, you can click here.
The concept of factions and personality trait sort of things has always been appealing to me
Oh well..
I should really sleep now instead of reading up on movie personalities..

Heading into Mid March
I'm very much still alive!
Back and recuperated from my trip, I've been busy recollecting my thoughts for my new project, along with new lessons that I took home from my recent trip.
Editing photos are going to be my biggest challenge for this week!
Perhaps I love myself too much, to want to change any part of me into anything else.
I hated how I was being photoshopped into someone new in the previous shoot, and therefore i'm going OCD mode here and taking things into my own hands.
Come on, Look at the disparity!
This is the original non edited Daphne in the test shot.
and this taken in the studio, highly edited.
Ermygawd.. is that even me?!
It's actually quite insulting to me.
Even Barbie doesn't come in this proportion!
Dislike!
I do not care if I have thunder thighs, muscular calves or a stubborn jaw/chin.
Give me back all my physical flaws!
Rwar!!!
Apparently I cant trust the Chinese Chinese to appreciate of even understand my taste in imperfection.
审美观不同.
I'm not going to fight them, in what's right or wrong
I sure hope that my eyes, shoulders and fingers are going to survive the photoshop ordeal that I'm putting myself through.
Looking forward to the launch
3 more days to go.

Ted Baker Ronee Enamel Heart Matinee wallet
Spring cleaning, and I found my old Ted Baker wallet of yester~years...
I'm pretty much still wearing my chain watch, but the wallet has long been retired with its pretty rose gold hardware looking pretty scratched up.
However, I'm still super in love with it to date.
Of course, I'm aware of the other color variations that it was once available in.
Alas! Aside from Ebay's used wallets, its no longer available for sale :(
*uber sad face*
Posting pictures of the wallet found online here for nostalgia and admiration purposes.

ios7 NOT!
Spent the entire night fiddling with the phone.
I have been fighting off the upgrade for my phone for the longest time.
Recently, the phone has been lagging like mad.
Like after password unlock, my screen just sorts of hangs.
and other similar scenarios.
Therefore, I decided that it was time to do the dreaded upgrade.
Turns out that it was the stupidest thing to do.
Here's why.
my macbook is still running on 10.5.8 mac osX
and so is my itunes.
ios7 does not support the older platforms, and of which, itunes and iphone will not sync.
WTFPapaya is this stupid rubbish about?!!
Steve Jobs is dead, and i have a feeling the mac is going downhill..
I miss the man.
oh lord.
I was fighting off getting a new macbook vs upgrading parts before 2013 ended.
Finally decided to upgrade parts (haven't visited the dude that I spoke to yet~ i'm still a procrastinator in 2014! ).
Since technically, my macbook is still in awesome awesome condition, albeit the wonky old battery and touchpad from too much photoshopping (yes I'm uber talented with my micro hand eye control. I can actually photoshop with touchpad without the damn mouse during the prime of my macbook!)
Aside from that. The new mac looks exactly the same as the one I'm typing with now, weight is exactly the same as well (I'm obviously not eyeing on the retinas)
Dafaq I need to change?
Besides, I would need to port all my files over and reinstall all the new applications.
#TooMuchEffort
If I have too much spare time, I'll rather watch a drama than to reinstall applications.
This is what the chinese call, 画蛇添足 "adding legs on a snake drawing."
Since snakes do not have legs, and drawing legs onto the snake gives you a lizard, not a snake!
The saying is actually making reference to the term oxymoronic, or in layman's saying, slapping your own hands just because you're too bored.
And if I chose the macbook air, it would make a lot of sense to get a new mac, just for portability's sake. BUT mac air and photoshop aren't quite friends with its factory specs.
Now you get my dilema.
Anyway I digress too much.
back to ios7
I'm now spending the remaining hours trying to fix this shit
Arghhhh!!!
oxymoronic!!!!!
Im so mad now.
It's nothing that the geeklet in me cannot resolve.
Therefore I'm still relatively zen and unfazed about this.
I'm just pissed because this is absolutely uncalled for!
There's at least got to be a warning from Apple about this!
FTS!
Backing up all my files on the macbook and iphone before I go into war mode to resolve this.
@#%#*%^
and if you did not hear anything from me about this issue, it'll most probably mean that its fixed.
I realized that I tend to make alot more noise about annoying things, and accomplished stuff are often left unspoken of.
Need to learn to brag a little more.
Haha!

Itchy bed sheet.
Ever heard of the Danish story of a princess and the pea?
The one where only a true princess will be sensitive enough to feel the pea through 20 mattresses.
I used to think that it's a tall story.
Pun intended.
The illustrative pictures had this princess climbed up a ladder to sleep on 20 mattresses, which reminded me alot of a stack of pancakes!
And how is it even possible for her to be bruised blue and black just by a pea?
Ridiculous!
Anyway, I digress too much.
Perhaps she's way too sensitive.
Here I am, lying in bed with freshly changed sheets, wondering just why oh why that I can't possibly last another few more days, ( hence postpone the changing of bed sheets until the week after) since I'm about to travel off in a couple of days time.
Logically it really doesn't make sense to change sheets just before a trip.
Physically I'm itching all over, and I could feel bites creeping all over until I strip my bed off the old ones and replace them with new ones immediately!
Yep, even if its 5am in the morning, it's absolutely unavoidable, or I'd be sleepless with itchy rashed skin.
Is it just me, because my skin is sensitive, or does this happen to everyone (only that no one in my social circle ever talks about it?)
I'm actually quite sure that this isn't the first post of me whining about itchy sheets, and changing them at weird hours just because it gets really unbearable without much warning.
Like clockwork.
* this itchy bed syndrome started waaaay before I had the dog. Besides she's never allowed up my bed.
In fact, I only ever started experiencing itch when the family decided to do away with the maid, and bed sheet hygiene was left entirely to our own discretion ( and mother's nagging).
Somehow, the brother and sister are able to keep up with their pig sty lifestyle much longer than I could.
*i swear that I'm the only one inflicted with this problem to date.
:(
Alright.
Bedtime!
Xoxo
Unitch the sleepy daphne or perhaps live in hotels forever!
Clean sheets ftw!

How sensitive are you to colors?
F1 is finally over!
I'm resting my body now and refused to leave the bed much.
The brain is in semi functional capacity though.
China has been rushing me to catch up with my paper work, and instead of fixing up my design and collections... I'm wasting so much time surfing.
This one that I found is amusing though.
I have to admit that I probably put in more effort in sorting out the color hues, than eating up my dinner tonight.
This is what I started with.
This is roughly what I did.
The final submission differs slightly from this after tweaking and changes.
I'm so disappointed that I only scored 11.
The scale works like this.
0 Perfect color acurity and 100 being low color accurity.
I'm at 11.
Dislike!
All my life, I've always believed that i'm extremely sensitive to colors, and looking at my score,
I suddenly feel color blind.
ok bye.
I'm going to stare at other things now that does not require color accuracy for now.
:(
*you've been warned about the potential heartbreak involved.
and in case you're still interested with the color hue test..
here is the link.

Mondays are good
Unlike the office working class friends. I actually do love Mondays.
After all, Mondays are leisure days, with paper work to catch up, along with the stay home option.
It's really quite appealing to be on lazy mode at work.
This is Trixie doing nanny patrol.
Whenever I'm sleeping, she has this terrible habit of checking on me when I stir in my sleep just to see if I'm gonna be ok.
It's also the reason why I'd never let her sleep in my room at night, for We'd both be unable to rest well truly.
I may be a heavy sleeper, but the pattering sound of her nails on the floor, and the feeling of being spied on when I'm sleeping.....
Well, I don't like it.
But I still love the doggles for being so sweet and attentive to me.
Now that its been raining alot in Singapore the past few days, I reckon that it's autumn season now!
So here's my must have for the coming Fall!
My cropped trench little jacket!
Bought this during my spring in China, and wore it once before flying back home.
Its been stashed away in the wardrobe since. Finally! Dug it out the other day, and steamed the creases away!
Been wearing my little jacket out just about everywhere!
This was my coordinates for Sunday.
I spent my Sunday working, and the event was rather enjoyable, albeit physically tiring from too much walking.
Hanging out with great clients can hardly be considered a job.
Hohoho.
Aiyah, you get the idea.
Dressed for saturday midnight movie night in my jacket again.
It's a great autumn piece for Singapore's weather without looking like a lunatic.
Watched Percy Jackson and the sea monsters. Second installment isn't as good as the lightning thief installment.
Found the yummy icecream that I ate in Japan.
This one's caramel( slight peanuty taste) coating on the outside, with soft Mochi and vanilla icecream on the inside.
The Mochi center is heavenly!
The jap mart located at star vista seems to be a little treasure cove.
Since Star Vista is only 2 stone's throw away from home, I'm going to raid there a little more the next time round, and apparently the Korean mart is due to be opened rather soon.
Looking forward.
I've been quite lucky with freebies lately.
I received a few full sized products to try out, and being typically enthusiastic about new stuff, I have already started on the new products.
The newest to join the lot will be this bottle of Albion gold oil.
I tried it on my hair, and it works pretty well for my dry ends. (I happen to have insanely long hair, the ends and knots are the deadliest!)
Apparently it can also be used for the skin.
I'm not usually a fan of oil on my face.
But Having applied the oil on my hair ends with my hands,
I noticed that the oil absorbs pretty well into my hands with no yucky residual oily after feel.
The albion gold oil is pretty light with a light floral scent. Which is great for people like me. afterall, heavy scent gives me a terrible headache after smelling too much.
Perhaps I really should brace myself up, and try the oil on my face soon.
Lastly, Here's one of me after a bath sans makeup with humongous eyerings!
Haven't been sleeping properly lately juggling between Singapore and china's workload.
BUT I do believe that it's deadly important for the skin to be unstressed as much as possible, and I try to apply as little layers of make up whenever possible.
Therefore I cannot understand why so many girls (in my industry) pile on tons and tons of powder, in the name of beauty.
In fact it's does quite the opposite to you, if you know what i mean.
It's as if the layer of powder applied on the face is linked to their confidence level.
Tsk

Five days after..
I'm coughing a good deal now.
The yucky wheezy phlegmy sort. And I'm already back at work!
The yucky wheezy phlegmy sort. And I'm already back at work!
Call it unperks, but I call it doing what I liked best.
Even when I'm sleeping, I'll think about what I can add on to the coming collection, colors, style, or one thing leads to another, one idea for the fashion, will help bring about another idea for the agency.

Taking a break from trend working.
Just took this picture, and am eating up my naked sundae, to get some sugar rush.

Lace bunny ears?
I hear you.
Yeah. I have a terrible habit of working pretty, even if its closer to bed time and all.
That keeps me from plonking into bed whenever I'm feeling lazy.
After all, the wise ladies dictates that one should never go to bed pretty with your makeup, gook and contact lens.
Aha!
Indeed.
I am wise.
Besides, no designers would ever like to work in a yucky environment.
The need to surround themselves with everything pretty, is extremely important.
Look at ugly stuff, you churn out ugly stuff.
Look at pretty stuff, you inspire yourself to churn out something even better.
Afterall, you never compare yourself with something worst off, at least I dont.
I always eye at the stuff on top, and enjoy what I have at the moment.
Look far, look high, and visualise the future.
Such is the way of life.

Sick girl in transit
That's it. I'm officially ill.
It could have been the passing Typhoon, because it rained non stop for 6 days out of the 7 that I stayed in China. (ShenZhen is one of those places that was affected, weather wise)
I was feeling cold on the plane, that I wore a jacket and snuggle under a light weight scarf that I always bring along whenever I travel.
At this point to me, It still seem rather normal to be feeling cold, and pretty much so when I landed back in Singapore on Wednesday night/ Thursday morning.
It was helluva steamed up, sort of hot that I experienced whenever I'm in China.

It could have been daddy that passed his flu over, OR the insane amount of chips that I consumed while I was working in China.
There was this flavour called the little tomato from Lays.
Its got this teeny weeny bit of cooling taste after biting into it, which made junking really refreshing,
In fact, I wasn't intending to consume all that chips in the same trip, but Cat was evil.
she's got this terrible habit of helping herself to my stuff while asking me about it,
and she kept ripping open those chips that I bought and stored conscientiously like a squirrel hiding a nut for winter.

Luckily I'm usually very easy going with edibles.
Try me with my personal belongings, I might get really angry about it.

And the both of us hung out with the sick daddy alot because of baby kitty.
On the day before I flew back to Singapore, we both developed a sore throat.

The chinese from the southern origins, are really scared of the cold.
25 degrees airconditioning and they tell me that they're cold.
Pffftt.
To feel somewhat cold when I set foot into Singapore, It's sort of normal behaviour from me right, right?
Afterall, 7 days of freaking non air conditioned summer, it's definitely going to be coldish for me, when I set my foot back into the land of Airconditioning.

Confirm.
I woke up and met the girls for Japanese food at Sushi Tei on Thursday evening.
Because I was cold, the leather jacket that I brought back this trip became handy.
The jacket was supposed to serve me only when I head over to China for work during Autumn.
We aren't expecting Autumn until end October actually.
The next evening, I even replaced one of my girls at work because she was sick.

Wahhhh no fair, I'm sick too right! ( I thought about it in my head)
The unperks of managing your own business. No MC option.
Of course even Claud was out on the field to work as well.
I hate exams week!
Luckily for me, I'm usually the sort who gets absolutely unaffected by fever and flu and cough, albeit for the slight discomfort and inconvenience I felt + tons of additional sleep that I clock up.
Take today (saturday), Feverish and Fluish
I woke up for breakfast at Macs, and went back home to try out that 5 minutes slimming video that I watched earlier.
I fell asleep with my toes tied up, and hands stretched out. I'm not sure if it worked.
I fell asleep with my toes tied up, and hands stretched out. I'm not sure if it worked.
Firstly I was too lazy to dig out my measuring tape from the unpacked luggage.
Secondly I was feeling tired.
And so I fell asleep post breakfast in the most peculiar pose for awhile.
Woke up from my nap in a different position. I must have untied my toes while I was asleep!
4 hours is too long to be stuck in the same position, no?
4 hours is too long to be stuck in the same position, no?
I also decided that staying at home was boring, headed out for bubble tea and bought magazines and then took a bus home.
I'm usually the sort who'll stroll home, after all it's only about 1600 steps from home, but I decided that I didn't feel like strolling with the 4pm sun above my head when I'm feeling less than awesome.
I reached home.... And the mom decided that we shall head back to where I was from, for dinner. Now that the sun is sort of gone, we walked over for dinner and walked back home, with Thai Express settling well in the tummy post dinner.
This pretty much sums up the day of a sick girl with malfunctioning taste buds.
I kept eating to get rid of that bland taste lurking in my mouth.
Thai food was great for my taste bud.
I decided to sliced up some Japanese cucumber for me to munch.
Afterall, cucumbers are good for hydrating purposes, and i'm dehydrating so much through my nose.
For the first time ever!
Snacking on Japanese cucumber tasted bitter to me. No matter how much dip I ate up with the cucumbers, it tasted bitter like the bitter gourd to me.

I fed mom a slice, and she said the cucumbers were fine. Just the flu acting up. :(
Marks and spencer soup was terribly tasteless as well. :(
Just super glad that I'm rarely ill.
Maybe just like once a year?
My immune system deserves a holiday break, and I'll live with the inconvenience for now.

Facial face
I braced myself up 2 week ago, and went for my once a year facial session at Adonis.
They fit pretty well I must say.
There's also the cap to shield the face from the sun..
I really hate facial extractions.
They really love to squeeze the daylights off my pore.
I usually end up crying badly, with no exceptional fantastic skin after all that gruesome torture that I subject myself to.
But I doooooo have to say that I love everything else that comes with the session.
From the foot soak, to the relaxing facial +neck+shoulder+hand massage, tidy up my brows, and the nice smelling cooling mud clay face mask that they apply on me after raping my pores... I'm usually quite relaxed and ready to sleep, if it wasn't that one very painful segment, I'd have finish my package Long ago!
10 sessions utilised over 5 years.
I don't need to elaborate further.
My guess would be, my last session of thr package, would either be given away to a friend, or would be utilised by me next year.
Hohoho.
No difference right?
I thought so as well.
My down time is about the span of 1 night's sleep, as compared to what I'm currently accustomed to.
Zero downtime facials that doesn't hurt.
Rwar!!!
I'll settle for spa packages in future, since I prefer to be kneaded as if im some bread dough with oil, instead of feeling like a piece of overpicked chicken skin.
Dont get me wrong.
Facials are a necessary evil.
It's just that I'm just not very good with my pain threshold, as the mother always claims.
I'm a big baby, when it comes to hurting myself.
*princess syndrome*
---
Wore the new purple flip flops out!
Just bitched about a random girl's legs looking wonky in her pictures, and here I am, with my own wonky legs.
#KarmaTime
Waiting out my turn at Holland village.
Painless facials is the way to go.
This is bare faced Daphne before...
Barefaced Daphne after.
With the new padded spaghetti top that arrived at the door step in the morning. They fit pretty well I must say.
There's also the cap to shield the face from the sun..
Sun shades in case I bump into friends, dashing strangers, or old enemies.
Lol
ok, and probably Clients too!

Happiness is all in a Sunday.
Sunday turned out pretty good!
Woke up happy, despite the fact that it was morning.
I also got a lift the flea market with all my stuff. Luckily, I had the foresight to buy an additional set of black ball dessert the night before and brought it out along to entertain myself for the flea.
Managed to sell almost all my stuff that needed to be cleared, I also ogle at Claud's stuff and she gave them to me :D
Met the fam for dinner, and we tried out Soup Broth Asia tonight.
the food is quite disappointing if you ask me. Considering that I gobble Soup Spoon weekly like a true blue soup fan, the eastern version of Soup Spoon is disappointing like an unfulfilling meal.
That's alright, it wasn't too bad either. Just not as good.
The fam proceeded over to the Marks and Spencer food department, and we did a quick loot.
The brother and I selected anything that looked yummy or excitingly promising to us.
That's our rule of thumb whenever we raid the super marts for titbits.
Mom refused to drive, and after dinner was too lazy to walk, therefore we bus hopped our way home.
The entire journey home was spent eyeing at bus timing listed on the boards at each stop, just so that we could get seats, and yet not miss that important bus home.
If there was a secret camera installed, it would have been quite funny, coz we were making so much noise about hoping that the bus we were in (bus A) would eventually over take bus B, just because bus B would stop right in front of our house, and bus A wouldn't.
Yet the only reason why we were on Bus A, was because the mother doesn't want to walk to the the stop to board Bus B.
I refused to alight bus A, because Bus B didn't have seats.
Hahahaha.
Hilarious "argument"
We ended up with what we wished for. A seated journey, bus hopped over to bus B as planned and got home fat and lazy.
We ended our Sunday night with a ginormous mango.
Trixie received mango as payment in kind for her efforts to model with the mango.
Lastly a picture of our loots for tonight.
Thank you for such a fantastic day.
I feel super super loved and blessed just to be happy like this.
Of course more days like this to come in the future!
Woots!

Feather keys!
My new mini project!
Feather keychain in 5 minutes flat.
I got Sick and tired of conventional keychain sold at the mall.
Decided to get something light and interesting! After some contemplation, I decided on feathers!
So here we go, purple feathers.
My new weightless key accessory.
ps: mother dampened my excitement on my new key accessory.
She says: we'll see how long these feathers will survive. -_-"
So much for optimism and supportive love from my mom.
Fail.
