Night adventure

What have i been doing for the past few days?

Boo says i've been busy being a cocoon!
I've been sleeping, eating, watching korean dramas and cartoons, then back to sleeping
On an average, i've been clocking at least 12 hours of sleep a day..hahaha
Love my lifestyle?
Nope! I'm finally bored of the bummerina life, but it seems like i'm stuck in a sleep curse.

Can't seem to prevent myself from sleeping too much!

*horrors*

I've managed to deliver Zoe's present over supper yesterday.
We met at Tong Shui Cafe at Zion road, since she claimed that it's the most centralised location for the both of us.
True enough, the both of us, arrived nearly the same time, with identical fares ($9.30), and both our cab drivers brought us along a slight detour (those stupid sly cab drivers!).

Oh well, i do hope that she likes the present that i've gotten for her. I chose a white gold pendant in the design of an abstract butterfly that seemed really like 2 hearts linked together, lined with miniscule diamonds that's barely visible. The minute i laid my eyes on the pendant, i just had Zoe in mind. *grins*

Hopefully it's something for her to remember her school friends by, after all, this will be her last birthday, being a student. Her next birthday, she'll either be a bummer, or deeply plunged into her work. Bah! Hate the thought of it!

Ben came to look for us, when we were nearly done with supper. Since he's decided to give Zoe a lift home, I've finally found out where Zoe lives (mind you, it's like reaalllllly reallllly deep inside a corner of St Michaels..it's crazy!), then on the way back, i decided that i needed to pee really badly, so we stopped at the Oriental Hotel opposite the Esplanade. I love the hotel interior! It's just so simplistically pretty.

Ben reckons that the hand soap in the toilet smelt like the perfume Ck one, so i ran back in there, and washed my hands with the hand soap again. (yeah sounds ridiculous, but i was that bored, ha ha).

We ended the night with an ice cream cone chat at Ridout Tea garden.
I seem to be into Mac Donald's $0.50 ice cream cone recently.

That's all for night adventures. =)

blissful post supper and zouk. not forgetting cuffs.

I kinda like this picture alot.
For one, he doesn't make silly faces (you'll never know how difficult it is to get him to keep a pretty straight face when we're snapping pictures)
Secondly, boo made me pose like this, so that i could show off my new white cuffs! Yes it's my new toy, and i added a slight touch of my own to it! Haha!
This picture was taken post supper, and zouk. *smiles*

You'll never know how much dilema i was in, when i was deciding on the design of the wrap!

There was the horror stories that Zoe fed me with, the never ending ugly pile of designs to shortlist, then the final design to decide on, followed by whether to give the phone a glitter base or normal base etc...

Just deciding on glitter base or non glitter base alone, was enough to give anyone a headache. Anyone watching me.. (probably Zoe), might think that it a life threatening decision i was making. Boo would probably have blew his top and started grunting at me. Yes, that's how long i took, to decide and envision just how my phone would look like.

Then there was the actual waiting time, being a very labour intensive business. I waited for more than 2 hours just to be in queue, and another hour and a half to get it wrapped.

All that waiting was not in vain, when i laid my eyes on the phone. It's beautiful!
Haha! I've got a pretty phone now! Yay!

Botanic Gardens

It's Boo's second off day, so we spent our evening over at the Botanical Garden, and from the way things are looking, it is apparent that the National Parks people spared no cost in the process of revamping the Botanic Garden.

What's new? - new carparks, newly added FoodCourt, rest areas.

Pavement - the path that leads us around is like a work of handicraft. "fossilized" effect was created, by imprinting different kind of leaves on the concrete all over the garden. It's beautiful.

Swan Lake - Newly done up, with only 2 swans and a duck floating around the lake, a huge statue featuring a flock of swans placed strategically in the lake.
Little duck statues placed at the side of the lake, looking like they are about to waddle into the lake to make up for the lack of ducks and swans (bird flu probably?)

Stream decorations - intricate wall carvings added to the little streams along the paths, Pretty!

The visit was definitely pictureque - That's what you get, when u splurge! Haha
I've loaded up a few pictures of Boo and i. The multishot one was done using the Olympus while we were resting at the Rest area. The remaining 2 pictures, were taken using the N70. Though alittle blurry (my hands were shaking from hunger), i think they aren't too bad, even though the boo would tsk and say.. "no auto focus".

Oh well, im contented with the phone, despite the lagginess and the 2 apparent white screen whenever i'm playing with the game "Camster". I guess i'll have to bring it into the Nokia care place to upgrade software and see what the people there can do for me, before i yakker on about the phone.

N70 and happy birthday mommy!

I've finally gotten down to phone shopping. Went down to Star Hub at Plaza Singapura to get my N70.
I was disappointed that N70 I-mode only comes in 1 color. Which is the Silver/Black combination. The entire phone was filled with I-mode logo and starhub logo..definitely scary.
Who in the right mind would use the I-mode logo as background? The lamest would be the fact that the I-Mode logo comes in various color background. There's pink, baby blue, green, yellow, white! What's more Ridiculous, the default ringing tone is the Starhub I-mode song! the one that goes i like i-mode, Arghhh! all these I-mode thingie is driving me mad!!

I totally intend to wrap the phone in the G-mask thingie, coz i absolutely detest black phones.
Yeah. As for the functions, it does not vary too much from the 7610, probably alittle more added programs and softwares?

It's my mommy's birthday today, and she's... hahah nearly 50 years old.
Happy birthday mommy! Age is only a number, you're still pretty and young no matter what!

Da and i pooled in our allowances and bought mommy a miniscule heartshaped pendant. My poor tired boo bought her a Secret Recipe Mango cake!
Haha... 4 mouths consumed nearly half the cake. Too bad the tired and sick one had to go home....and missed the cake cutting! =(

Ah well, that's about all the excitement i had for today. Shall update later, maybe?

fuck it! i'm sick of u people!

Aha! I did the unbelievable! I slept for 17 hours straight! waking up only to visit the loo once and to reply SMSes that came through..
I was that tired. Unbelievable, but it is true.

I woke up at 8pm, to eat my first meal of the day, swam a few laps, then did my nails.

This is what life originally was, and it's good to feel it coming back. I definitely deserve a break.

I'm sick of 1) responsibilities, 2)people who think that they're great, when in actual fact, they're nothing but a shitty whim, who's totally not in check with reality. a barking dog indeed.
3) people who're so afraid to voice out their thoughts and opinion. I have a whole lot of them in my council. Useless bunch.
4) empty vessels who're alittle like parrots. Whom can't quite sort out the differences between lettuce and cabbage. (never heard of the moronic story of veges yet? ask me, i'll relate that sad story to you one day...the one about the moronic girl who's too dumb to think before she speaks.
5)a pile of non artistic people whom i cannot relate my thoughts to.

I've slogged my extra time away for a bunch of good for nothings. At the end of the day, these thankless fools just make me soooooo mad.

Now that i've gotten in touch with myself, it's time i get in touch with the right people.
The ones who made my life interesting, the ones who are in check with reality, and the ones who knows how to voice out their thoughts and opinions without even blinking.

*this entry is definitely made for people whom i'm very disappointed with.
I've got about just enough of all the nonsense that council can come up with.

It's nearly time for me to watch how the next bunch of EXCOs deal with the monkeys! Cheers to retirement!

It's time to fiddle with the Xbox. It's been neglected.

things you probably never knew..

Things you never probably never knew...

*
Day dreaming is my favourite past time.. it's convenient, and never bores me, and best of all, it doesn't cost a single cent! I love dreaming up about the different outfits i can invent or stitch up with...but i'll forget them once i get home. Ha!

*
I love playing with paper. Used to spend hours everday creating stuff from paper. Sadly, i hardly have the time to sleep anymore, even lesser time to sit and explore with papers. i'd say that i'm rather good with them, from paper mosiac, paper quilling, origami, paper sculpture, anything but paper mache-they're too messy for my liking.
*
Hair is the absolute most important part of me. I'm willing to experience with cuts and colors, as long as it doesn't damage them permanently.
*
I do not have any favourite colors, but i do have a fetish for hindie purple (ribena tones), and turquoise or mint. I change color favourtism as and when i fancy.
I usually stock up on a particular hue that i'm crazy about when shopping. So you'll see them in bags, shoes various tops and bottoms until i get sick of it.
*
White is the one absolute color that i'll never get tired of, and i look dreadful in black.
*
I love cats, and i detest dog's saliva, but i'll live with it, if it doesnt get on my face.
*
I'm not brand conscious. I've got a good eye to spot interesting stuff.
If a rag makes me look good. I'll wear the rag.
People who swears by brands are the totally insecure..relying on brands to make them cool is so uncool.
*
I'm moody and anti social by nature, - there are just days when i just want to be left alone to sulk, so dont take it too personal if i didnt say hello.
*
I've dreamt of becoming a swimmer when i was young, until my mama told me about the broad ugly shoulders i'll get from it.
*
When i was little, i was a boy hater. I'll "fight" with my male cousins and school mates, because i hated the idea of boys thinking that they are better than girls. Yes i'm a feminist.
So i hate to see whinny girls who plays up the "oh i'm just a weak girl... " just to get the attention and help from guys. It disgust me.
*
I have a feisty temper. Might wanna stay away when i flare up.
*
I underwent a major spine operation when i was 15. To date, i'm left with a 24 cm scar, and a missing rib from the ordeal. (i suffer from Scoliosis, an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine)
*
It annoys me when people try to run my life, or tell me what to do about them.
To date, only few gets away with it. Like mommy, Boo and a few little friends. No one tells me what to do with my life. Period.

yakkers yakkerings

Chanced upon this website that handcrafts these beautiful pieces...
Pretty and intricate accessories.. but it'll be too troublesome to ship them in, so it's totally just for viewing pleasure!
*
I finally found the time to finish reading up the novel "The devil wears Prada", and managed to catch the movie with boo yesterday.

The story line in the novel is slightly different from the movie. Yes they'd managed to portray Miranda Priestly as a meanie, but after awhile, you'll realise that she isn't as mean as it was writted in the novel...and so much more was not accurately portrayed in the movie!

Nigel's gayness wasn't very much portrayed, Emily wasn't that mean in the novel, and she definitely did not break a leg, instead, she was down with monoculosis..or something like that... Andy's Boyfriend is a school teacher, not a chef, and Lily (andy's bestfriend) is definitely not an artist, but a PHD student with an alcoholic problem, Miranda Priestly did not get a divorce, so on... (ya u probably get the idea)
*
The fashion portrayed was like *yawn*, nothing ground breaking here, though i do love the boot with jeans look, coz it's something that you definitely wont be able to pull off in humid places like Singapore.
I'm dying for a chance to fly away to some cold country, where i'll be able to yank on all the boots that i want to!!!
*
I need a hair cut, and hair color... it's been 2 months since i last cut my hair, and it's gone all limp and flat, instead of the volumous "bulbasarus" look that i'd usually prefer... but i'm actually considering growing the hair long..... (i'd have to think about it alittle more...)

Would probably try and bear with the color (what color?!) of my hair, til i am done with exams, in order to save money... after all, i'll be stuck at home or in school studying anyway, since exams is approaching.
*
Tonight would be a good night to catch up on the sleep, since i haven't been getting enough sleep for the past few days.... Kinda looking like a panda, that even concealer isn't making any wonders...

voucher hoarding

Shopping vouchers = shopping glee!
I've hoarded up $65 worth of Tangs vouchers, compliments from Quacks!! =))))

I'm having a hard time deciding on what free/heavily discounted item to get!

Skin care?
Clothes?
Accessories?
Shoes?

Arhhh! The thought of shopping is pleasing to the mind!
You'll never know how hectic your week can be, until you've gone through one!

For the whole of today, everytime i lay sprawled on my comfy little bed, trying to catch up with sleep, or deceiving myself into the sleep cheating method of additional snooze...
only to be thwarted by the ringing phone!

It's almost like a curse!
Close my eyes for more than 5 mins... the phone's sure to ring!
Thank god for the free incoming! My mobile phone bills have never been anything near average or normal before, despite taking up a student plan!
The SMSes are the real killer. I've never known what my fingers were capable of, until i saw my monthly bills.
I could easily hit 2000 smses each month!!

Speaking of which, i'm living fine with the L6, but the sms-ing technology is soooo soooo laggy.
I kinda miss Nokia.
Since im at the Mobile phone topic, i've kinda decided to settle for the N70.
After all, the N70,N72,N80,N90 they all look ugly and brick like.
Since they aren't scoring with me on the design factor, i reckon the price would have to be real appealing.

Probably would spend the money that i've saved on purchasing a cheap phone, on "plastic surgery", say the G-wrap thingie for phones?
I'm also thinking of getting a laptop skin for the glitzii. Mom keeps stacking stuff on my laptop. Hate to think about the day it'll receive a major scratch from random objects.

Any idea where i'd be able to locate a laptop skin/wrap?

And i NEED a holiday! a cheap one would be fine too. (yes wishing well?)

Restless + backdating

At Coco Latte

Arghhhh! Once again, it's the restless mood that i always fall into whenever i'm stuck with lots of test and projects.

I'm supposed to be doing the Buyer Behaviour Case study project that's due tomorrow, but i can't seem to settle down to actually be doing them.
The words in the textbook looks crappy to me. Yes i like whinning.

I'm so restless that i even offered to scrub toilet for whoever who's willing to do the BB overview for me! Hahah! but i turned down the many offers, coz boo's helping me churn out the rubbishy parts! Ho ho ho! See Boo's the bestest of the best! Toilet-free for mee! hoo!!

There's like BB due on monday, accounting test on Tue, and Prices and market Test due on Wed. ARhhh!, followed by Student week booth set up, Student week itself, then the Miss SIM pageant. Crazy week!!

Yes once again, Thank God for Kenny, to help me along with council responsibilites! He's managed to persuade the girls to take part in the pageant, when they flatly told me "No" initially. ( No doubt it's a fact that most girls hate me, though i've got no idea why so), and agreeing to help oversee the student week booth stuff. It got me wondering...what charm did he administer, to persuade the girls into agreeing to taking part in the pageant! Hahaha

*
It's Roy's birthday, so Boo and i met up with Roy, Sheila and Gary took the chance to meet up, and we chose to lunch over at the Villa'ge. It's dreadful the place... seemed to have shrunk, the food variety seem lesser, and it's like a ghost town, (they didnt renovate much, still looks like Marche, just lost it's lustre)

As usual, talks of going back to Bali surfaced, and this time, i really do hope that i'll be able to join them in Febuary, (yes boo, i know how much you wanna go back to Bali).

*pray that my time table, next semester would please be Bali friendly*, considering the fact that i'll have quite considerable amount of time in my hand, without council being a major commitment and responsibility!

*

Back tracking to a few days ago, Boo and i ventured into JB together with Garry and his Girlfirend and Eugene. It's quite a fun trip, coz we went exploring alittle, driving all the way to Jusco, despite not knowing it's exact location. We had Ba Kut Teh at this place that Garry recommended, and i'd say that the soup tasted pretty good, and i'll definitely would be back for more of that happening soup!

Shopping was alittle unfruitful for me, having bought most of the VNC shoes that i've fancied for this season... there's like nothing left worth grabbing. Boo got himself a pair of Levis Square cut jeans though. I chose it, and therefore i like it! Hahha! Besides, i think he looks super cute in it! *wink*

We had seafood spread for dinner, and the food is amazing! We ordered cereal crayfish, butter prawns, fried squid (which wasn't too good coz they didn't remove the black ink), sambal kang kong, saucy tofu, 2 plates of chee cheong fun, and blame me for my bad memory, but i can't remember the other dishes that we ordered.

Just when i was done with dinner, i thought i heard someone call my name. But i conveniently dismissed it, after all, what's the odds of you meeting anyone in the streets of JB on a weekday?!
Then i heard my name again. This time i turned and saw Dora. Boy was i surprised and shock!
It'll definitely be fun to go back to JB to explore and indulge ourselves again soon!

*
Back dating to not too many days ago... Wednesday - A bunch of us attended the Sim-Motorola event at Coco Latte. The event went well i'll say, though it was alittle quiet at the start. We each brought home a goody bag that included a magnetic whiteboard, that i stuck onto the fridge and scribbled on it with good fun, a pink mobile phone strap, that i liked so much -i decided to take an extra one home! There's also pretty Motorola emblem notebooks and notepads, pen and paper clips, not forgetting a pink paperbag that would be so useful in embarrassing situations.... i.e, place the pretty paper bag over your head.. Ha!

The entire bunch of us moved on over to Zouk later in the night... i've never reached Zouk at such late hours before. Naturally Jo and Chris thought that i'll not be coming, so they were rather surprised when i arrived, bringing Zoe along! Ho ho ho!

Met many people that night, including Da's friends Serene, Jo , and a few others whom i've never recalled meeting. According to her entry dated 7 sept, mambo jambo, she was vaguely amused at my ability to scream hello, while doing the mambo moves. Haha.

Generally, we had fun that night, and i managed to get into bed at 6am, with a reallly wet head. Was waaay too tired to wait for the hair is dry.
*
That's all folks... i'll add an entry or two whenever i'm able to..

A day of coincidence...

I swear this top generated lots of coincidences for Zoe and i!
Spotted the similarity?

It all started off with one fine shopping day..
Zoe and i spotted a top. It was almost as if i could read her mind, i forced her to give it a try.
She loved the blouse the instant she tried it on. While she was changing out of the blouse,
I asked the salegirl if there was other colors available.

The minute Zoe stepped out of the changing room, i started rattling the other available colors...
and when i was done, she asked "how did you know that i was about to ask about the colors?"

I shrugged, it wasn't surprising to learn about an individual's shopping habits, not forgeting that this was probably the millionth time we shopped together in our near 3 years of friendship.

I tried on the blue top, and it did me no justice, making me look charred. Instead, i tried the white, and it did mircales for me! Yippee!

We both purchased the top, and never said a word about wearing it.
Early this July, which was days after purchasing this top...
we created sensational joke amongst our circle of friends.

Everyone was laughing when we appeared in school wearing the exact same top, despite not communicating our intentions. What's funnier would be how the others were just jokingly speculating to Zoe that they'll go buy lottery, if they catch us wearing the same top on the very day.

Zoe was cursing like mad when I met her at the canteen. It's rather funny. I couldnt stop laughing the minute i saw her. Kangwei and Cae really did get lottery tickets after that, but they won nothing.
Haha, i bet there would be magic, if Zoe and i Purchased the 4D tickets instead. Oh who cares?

Pirates!

Pirate Daphy! If you ask me, i think i look like some sort
of mountain bandit. *sigh*
I didn't choose the costume alright, it was provided!

Pirate Johnson and i!

Daph, Johnson and Zeta!

about life.

I've gone off blogging for a few days. Kinda lost its appeal somehow... Not that my life isn't colorful enough to blog about, but just alittle put off blogging. Not in the mood perhaps.

A recap of the days that's gone by so far...

On the Leadership Camp:
It was definitely a good and enlightening experience. The ordeal wasn't really much of a hardship, in fact, staying over at the YWCA seemed more like a little holiday stay, rather than a pathetic and yucky camping experience. (Thank god for clean toilets, coz most of you would have already heard about my super duper algae/mould phobia)

I made new friends in the camp, toughen up alittle physically, running/strolling round town, but most importantly mentally challenged myself.

The night time activities that we played, were pretty crazy. Michelle and i were like giving out crazy forfeits, even if we did not partake in the games.

Some forfeits went something like : "man .... yank out 5 strands of your leg haaaiiiirr"
we improvised and another went " use ur teeth to yank out 50 strands of leg hair Gupta..."
the meanest that i thought of could not be carried out, coz it involved rubber bands (the market and kitchen kind of rubber band. Not those that girls use for their beautiful long hair).
"to use a rubberband to roll over the hairy male leg, to get as much leg hair out as possible."

Oh wait, it's not all about leg hair, i had to eat curry flavoured twisties off my toes. (that wasn't too bad) Some others went like: "Snort up the MSG".
I'd say that the killer would be to watch Ben give Andy a love bite on the neck!

We definitely were hysterical that night. Lots of complains we received from the YWCA people.

The camp also reminded me of obvious stuff that i've always taken granted for. Just silly stuff that is so obvious, that most would think it's worth dismissing. Depressing.. but being depressed usually make me a humbler and more sensitive person.. haa
*
Mobile Phone:
Sold the Nokia 7610 away more than a week ago.. Still miss my pink phone. Was using Boo's 7250 ( i hope it's the right model that i quoted ya), and forgot to charge battery the night before camp, so i went home in the evening during dinner break, to exchange the Nokia 7250 for Mommy's super slim Motorola L6. Ahhh adapting to the phone became quite an issue for me.
For starters, the spacing for the text messaging made me alittle frustrated. So i replied my messages sans the spacing.

It vaguely went something like this : "imatcampnow, what'sup?" Hahaa
Boo asked if the spacing button of the phone is spoilt or not. Cute eh?

It's been nearly a week since i started using the Motorola L6, and i've adapted to the way the stupid phone functions and all, but that doesn't mean that i'll just settle for the L6 ya?
I'm still eyeing at new phones, but no particular idea on what phone to get.... yes the dilema of making you money's worth.

*
On work:
Went dressing up at a Pirate to create some "rara" in Mobile One asia's main head office to encourage the people in the office to dress up for their Company's D&D. It's always fun to dress up, especially to be paid to dress up. Yay!!
I'll post pictures of my vague attempts of being a pirate later.

Can't quite figure out if i should go for the coming Car exhibibtion's audition for Champion Motors, since taking up the job would mean skipping school for quite a few days, unless someone's willing to share the days with me. After all, it's pretty good pay. =)
Yes, once again, it's loss of income because of school. Arrrhhh..

Boyfriend and i:
He plays his Xbox 360, while i watch the Korean Drama: " my lovely Sam Soon".
The sweetie toook the effort to borrow the box of VCDs for me, coz i'm forever complaining that an hour a night is simply not enough!

Been sick, and he showers me with the sick princess treatment. Yay! Crystal Jade chicken mushroom congee for me!! Slurps

We went out for movie today, it's Lucky Sleven that we caught, and i think it's quite a good movie. Josh Harnett is soooooo cute! Hee hee hee.
Dinner before movie wasn't too good though.
We went to Chicago Steakhouse that is located right next to Subway at Cineleisure for dinner.
For a place that claims to be a steakhouse, they sure have lousy food Standards.

We ordered Onion soup, Wild mushroom soup and Garlic Baked Scallops for starters, a platter of fish and chips for him and a Fireball beef steak for me.

Know what happened? (oh yes, i have so much to complain about them)
The soups arrived. It tasted very poorly made. Onion soup tasted rather bland and generic. I couldnt taste any onions, though there was some floating around the soup.

My Wild Mushroom soup was alright. But the mushrooms were blended sooooo finely, that i didnt even need chewing, neither would i be able to find out which 4 types of wild mushroom exactly, did they dump into my soup.

Main course was served, so Boo asked the waiter, shouldn't the starter be served before the maincourse?
The server/waiter replied: " sir, we're a semi fine dining place". OMG, in that case, they'd might as well serve the soup last? we very much wanted to retort.

The "fireball" lasted for like 3 seconds. I felt cheated. What's worst, i can taste the cow in my beef la! Never had i tasted a "beefier" steak in my life. You know, to taste the "animal" in your food, it must be bad.

The fish batter he had was thin like sashimi sliced fish fillet coated with breadcrumbs. We could barely taste the fish!

The Baked Garlic Scallops that we ordered for starters, *sigh* you must be wondering, how wrong can scallops go?
Yeah, very wrong. It was just pure horrible. If it's my first time eating scallops, i swear i'd never touch them ever again. Eeuch!

Social life:
Spent quite a few days studying in school with the Boys, to prepare for our coming Prices and Market test, as well as Management accounting test. Though it was alot more talk than study, not forgetting our "mix into the crowd of graduants and their relatives and friends to eat the buffet of food that was displayed appealingly right smack at the Atrium in school."

What the boys like to say: " free food always tastes good". Haha.

Went KTV to choose songs for the competition that TinTin and i wanted to participate in. We ended up screeching alot when singing, and the dumb competition would never happen.
Why? Coz they closed the application already. Caroline told me that Friday was the closing date. Now i feel so cheated.

We went over to pay our respects to Lailin's granny at the wake. Hope Lailin is holding on fine.

Zoe is busy working at the Comex fair, so i haven't seen her for quite awhile....

Have been corresponding with Lydia via Friendster recently, and i'm happy to know that she's back in my life, even though she's far away in London. Sigh..

Yes, that's about all the random thoughts i can recall about...
