about life.

I've gone off blogging for a few days. Kinda lost its appeal somehow... Not that my life isn't colorful enough to blog about, but just alittle put off blogging. Not in the mood perhaps.

A recap of the days that's gone by so far...

On the Leadership Camp:
It was definitely a good and enlightening experience. The ordeal wasn't really much of a hardship, in fact, staying over at the YWCA seemed more like a little holiday stay, rather than a pathetic and yucky camping experience. (Thank god for clean toilets, coz most of you would have already heard about my super duper algae/mould phobia)

I made new friends in the camp, toughen up alittle physically, running/strolling round town, but most importantly mentally challenged myself.

The night time activities that we played, were pretty crazy. Michelle and i were like giving out crazy forfeits, even if we did not partake in the games.

Some forfeits went something like : "man .... yank out 5 strands of your leg haaaiiiirr"
we improvised and another went " use ur teeth to yank out 50 strands of leg hair Gupta..."
the meanest that i thought of could not be carried out, coz it involved rubber bands (the market and kitchen kind of rubber band. Not those that girls use for their beautiful long hair).
"to use a rubberband to roll over the hairy male leg, to get as much leg hair out as possible."

Oh wait, it's not all about leg hair, i had to eat curry flavoured twisties off my toes. (that wasn't too bad) Some others went like: "Snort up the MSG".
I'd say that the killer would be to watch Ben give Andy a love bite on the neck!

We definitely were hysterical that night. Lots of complains we received from the YWCA people.

The camp also reminded me of obvious stuff that i've always taken granted for. Just silly stuff that is so obvious, that most would think it's worth dismissing. Depressing.. but being depressed usually make me a humbler and more sensitive person.. haa

Mobile Phone:
Sold the Nokia 7610 away more than a week ago.. Still miss my pink phone. Was using Boo's 7250 ( i hope it's the right model that i quoted ya), and forgot to charge battery the night before camp, so i went home in the evening during dinner break, to exchange the Nokia 7250 for Mommy's super slim Motorola L6. Ahhh adapting to the phone became quite an issue for me.
For starters, the spacing for the text messaging made me alittle frustrated. So i replied my messages sans the spacing.

It vaguely went something like this : "imatcampnow, what'sup?" Hahaa
Boo asked if the spacing button of the phone is spoilt or not. Cute eh?

It's been nearly a week since i started using the Motorola L6, and i've adapted to the way the stupid phone functions and all, but that doesn't mean that i'll just settle for the L6 ya?
I'm still eyeing at new phones, but no particular idea on what phone to get.... yes the dilema of making you money's worth.

On work:
Went dressing up at a Pirate to create some "rara" in Mobile One asia's main head office to encourage the people in the office to dress up for their Company's D&D. It's always fun to dress up, especially to be paid to dress up. Yay!!
I'll post pictures of my vague attempts of being a pirate later.

Can't quite figure out if i should go for the coming Car exhibibtion's audition for Champion Motors, since taking up the job would mean skipping school for quite a few days, unless someone's willing to share the days with me. After all, it's pretty good pay. =)
Yes, once again, it's loss of income because of school. Arrrhhh..

Boyfriend and i:
He plays his Xbox 360, while i watch the Korean Drama: " my lovely Sam Soon".
The sweetie toook the effort to borrow the box of VCDs for me, coz i'm forever complaining that an hour a night is simply not enough!

Been sick, and he showers me with the sick princess treatment. Yay! Crystal Jade chicken mushroom congee for me!! Slurps

We went out for movie today, it's Lucky Sleven that we caught, and i think it's quite a good movie. Josh Harnett is soooooo cute! Hee hee hee.
Dinner before movie wasn't too good though.
We went to Chicago Steakhouse that is located right next to Subway at Cineleisure for dinner.
For a place that claims to be a steakhouse, they sure have lousy food Standards.

We ordered Onion soup, Wild mushroom soup and Garlic Baked Scallops for starters, a platter of fish and chips for him and a Fireball beef steak for me.

Know what happened? (oh yes, i have so much to complain about them)
The soups arrived. It tasted very poorly made. Onion soup tasted rather bland and generic. I couldnt taste any onions, though there was some floating around the soup.

My Wild Mushroom soup was alright. But the mushrooms were blended sooooo finely, that i didnt even need chewing, neither would i be able to find out which 4 types of wild mushroom exactly, did they dump into my soup.

Main course was served, so Boo asked the waiter, shouldn't the starter be served before the maincourse?
The server/waiter replied: " sir, we're a semi fine dining place". OMG, in that case, they'd might as well serve the soup last? we very much wanted to retort.

The "fireball" lasted for like 3 seconds. I felt cheated. What's worst, i can taste the cow in my beef la! Never had i tasted a "beefier" steak in my life. You know, to taste the "animal" in your food, it must be bad.

The fish batter he had was thin like sashimi sliced fish fillet coated with breadcrumbs. We could barely taste the fish!

The Baked Garlic Scallops that we ordered for starters, *sigh* you must be wondering, how wrong can scallops go?
Yeah, very wrong. It was just pure horrible. If it's my first time eating scallops, i swear i'd never touch them ever again. Eeuch!

Social life:
Spent quite a few days studying in school with the Boys, to prepare for our coming Prices and Market test, as well as Management accounting test. Though it was alot more talk than study, not forgetting our "mix into the crowd of graduants and their relatives and friends to eat the buffet of food that was displayed appealingly right smack at the Atrium in school."

What the boys like to say: " free food always tastes good". Haha.

Went KTV to choose songs for the competition that TinTin and i wanted to participate in. We ended up screeching alot when singing, and the dumb competition would never happen.
Why? Coz they closed the application already. Caroline told me that Friday was the closing date. Now i feel so cheated.

We went over to pay our respects to Lailin's granny at the wake. Hope Lailin is holding on fine.

Zoe is busy working at the Comex fair, so i haven't seen her for quite awhile....

Have been corresponding with Lydia via Friendster recently, and i'm happy to know that she's back in my life, even though she's far away in London. Sigh..

Yes, that's about all the random thoughts i can recall about...
