Happy birthday Boo!

It's the boo's birthday today! I woke up really early (1pm) and dressed myself up for lunch. We headed over to Corduroy and Finch that's located along the Bukit Timah stretch.

The food there is nothing to shout about, just "a pretentious place with overpriced dishes and bad service" (i quoting Bernard). Yup, i ordered chicken fillet with white wine sauce, while boo decided on the sirloin with herb, and we both had the triple mushroom soup. The soup's good, but my chicken's nothing to scream about.

Serving portion was fine...but it just wasn't fantastic. It was horrifying to know that the bill doesn't come with a bill jacket ( you know the black "leather" thing that they present to you with the bill, where u either place your card or cash into, and fold it, before presenting it back to the service crew?) It was alittle turn off, but seriously it's not as bad as i made it out to be. Just that i didn't quite enjoy the dining experience.

Leaving the place, as we were heading towards the car, i spotted this bunch of chicken hanging around the grass patch. So i decided to take a picture of them enjoying their outdoor time.
As i got into the car, the chicken leader decided to march across the road, and the other chicken happily marched along.

I can't decide if they're smart or dumb. They crossed blindly, yet they know their way home. Errrr The complexity of the bird brain i'd suppose.

Headed over to the Little Red House at East Coast for some seafood. I meant alot of seafood.
As usual, dining in with his folks proved to be a gluttony experience. I'm not complaining, but you'll literally be full to the brim. Here's what they ordered:

1 steam crab
1 black pepper crab
1 Bamboo Clam thingie (love the sauce! slurps!)
1 pot of drunken prawn (yummy, which i ate like half the portion, while they, meaning the boo his mom and dad ate the other half)
vege 1 kang kong
vege 2 spinach with chinese mushroom
vege 3 unknown
cripsy chicken
some tofu dish
cod fish.

After being stuffed, we went back to his place, to cut the birthday cake!
It's a macadamia nut with white chocolate cake from secret recipe, with rainbow sprinkles on it! It's pretty, and it looks fluffy, with words that says: " Happy birthday Leonara". Haha, the D looked like an A. so it's Leonara, instead of Leonard.

I brought back a quarter of the cake along with me, for supper, breakfast, and to share. *slurps*

What a birthday!

Oh what did i get for him?
A Raoul shopping voucher. (was at wit's end about getting him a nice gift. So a shirt or a belt would be nice. But shirts shopping is a difficult task, he's gotta be there to try it on la. So a voucher is good!)

And naturally, there was also the failed surprise attempt yesterday night.
I wanted to surprise him by appearing at his car, when he's done with his work.
So i took a cab to Millenia Walk's carpark.
But Guess what? The einstein here couldn't locate the car (you have any freaking idea just how huge the entire carpark is? The freakin thing is practically an underground network of centenial tower, millenia shops plus office, landscaping plus hotels etc... you know how far i walked just to locate the car?!!?). So by the time he was done with work. I'm still wandering around aimlessly looking for his car! ARgh!
You could just imagine how frustrated i was.

My dear birthday boy actually parked his car at Marina Square. WTH. my 2nd failed attempt with surprise. I had to eat supper, to make myself feel better, while getting laughed at for my silliness.... *sad face*
I'm never gonna dabble with surprises anymore, always end up upsetting myself in the process . Bleh +(

Leonara Quacks, u'd better learn to appreciate all my failed surprise attempts! Hmpf!
*makes a grumpy monkey face*
