Dinner at Brazil Churrascaria
Selene and i met up for a shopping session on saturday! We scoured the entire Bugis Village for "the capri", and we succeeded! We left for our dinner dates ( she meeting her mom, and me meeting mine). Her mom gave me a ride home, and on the journey, i was reminded of our secondary school days, which usually ended with Selene's mom giving me a lift home, after we are done with the day's escapade.
Ah, reminising the young and carefree days always seem so sweet.
It's been quite some years since i last played the game of Pool.
Boo and i randomly met up with Danny and HuiXian for an imprompt dinner, and a session of Pool sprang into the conversation. We headed over to a pool palour at the Meridien Hotel, and spent the rest of the night there.
As it was HX's first time with the game, Danny coached her through the process and rules, while Boo and i played over at the other table. I've never been any good at the game, or had much patience in honing my skills, but i'd still say that the game of pool is rather enjoyable, coz as bimbotic as it sounds, i love the way the colorful balls scatter across the table. So pretty!
After Hx caught the gist of the game, we girls (meaning HX and myself) were left to polish up our mediocre skills at one table, while the masters of the game (the boys) did some catching up with their talks on life, during the game over at the other table.
We would have stayed on longer, if it wasn't for the fact that both Danny and HX had to work the next morning.
Boo and i had dinner at Brazil Churrascaria on monday. It was a secret meet up dinner, and we were told by the organiser that it was strictly by invitation only (therefore the lack of names).
The ambience and food is superb, and i'd have to say that it's one of the heartiest meal i've had ever! The amount of meat that i've consumed, is definitely stomach boggling! If you're a meat lover, you'll absolutely love it!However, my favourite dishes for the night would be the smoked ham, the caramelised pineapples, and the banana fritter!
I couldn't quite tell the difference from all the meat that i ate..there was a whole pile of them that i've sampled. Recalling the more memorable ones, from garlic beef, to beef rump, to chicken with bacon, smoked ham, baked fish, beef topside, some animal rib that i've decided to forgo and not forgetting the chicken heart!
The chicken heart is quite a laugh! Many were rather appalled at the thought of eating the heart of the chicken. A few chickened out when the chicken heart was served.
My boo gave the heart a try, and i'm so proud of him! I ate 2 hearts myself, afterall, it's not my first time eating the chicken heart.
But eating too much of the heart is another matter... so we donated our remaining hearts over to this guy who went out for a smoke! There was like more than 7 chicken hearts splotted on his plate, and he paled looking at it when he came back! He later donate most of it over to the chicken heart connoiseur next to him!
I washed my dinner down with this special brazillian mocktail. Couldn't recall the name of the pretty drink, but it was served with the mango juice suspended above the sparkling limeade even though both liquids were in the same glass. The color seperation topped with a cherry and pineapple decoration made a pretty sight!
I guess the density of the liquids kept them seperated... until the stirring mixed them together.
I love it! Yum!
