Alright! I'm almost done with Japan!
This is the last post for now!
Loading up all the pictures takes up loads of time and patience on my part.
Before we set foot into Tokyo, this was some place that we stopped by, for the scenary.
Nice mountains in the background, while I resume looking puffy from the cold.
Random Rose Hotel that looked somewhat special to me (architecturally)
We set foot into Chinatown, and it's mainly chinese food in the next few pictures..
Cute Panda biscuits..
Some famous "jian bao" place. Fried buns literally.
I'm pretty sure it originated from Shanghai, just like xiao long baos, only that it's panfried.
For the uninitiated, it's just marinated minced pork wrapped in a layer of dough and spring onions.
We walked past this store, and found our guide in it.
He said he's gotta eat it every time he's in Chinatown.
This is how the jian bao looks like on the pan.
Before tucking in! Om nom nom..
Stow-a-way animal buns. Panda bun sure looks sad to be steamed.
The animals after being steamed.
Journey to the west Buns. Ahahaha. We have piglet, sandy, master and monkey flavour.
I dont usually eat all that much buns, so just pictorial for amusement.
Boarded a ferry, and here's a family picture of us before boarding.
I hate how my winter gear made me look super swollen.
At the toy store with Minnie. I'm not sure why Minnie had that o.O expression. But she's cute huh?
Im usually not a fan of the typical minnie mouse face.
With my red ribbon love.
I secretly also like miffy. But my new year room resolution, is to cut down on buying up toys.
I'm a grown up girl now.
Monster Hunter cats are so cute!
Dad and the brother bought stuff from the toy store.
I remained disciplined, and took pictures of the toys I fancied only.
Heeheehee
I think this is the street of entertainment.
For guys, if you ask me.
The next day, we headed over to visit the Emperor's place.
Im not sure if its the palace, so i'll settle for place, incase you think I can't tell the difference between spelling place and palace.
You know, like Angles and demons.
Whut?!
Oh, Angels and demons.
Oh lord. Maybe the angels had angular halos on their head, I tried to console myself.
I also had the misfortune to be engaged in an entirely uninteresting conversation, and the person kept going on with her spelling error, that drove me absolutely nuts.
I replied politely with the correct spelling along with her questions, and the wrong one kept bouncing back to me.
How thick can her skulls be?
For the curious, the magic word was Tebad.
Whuuuut?
she meant Tibet.
OMGpapaya!
Whatever happened to google.com or dictionary.com
What have I done to deserve spelling errors to such an extent?
I wanted to cry.
Pardon me, I'm absolutely understanding about typo.
I'm not that big a grammar or spelling Nazi, but repeated spelling error is like
annoying.
I'm never cut out to be a teacher, thankfully.
Digression aside, back to Japan please..
Emperor's place. *ahem*
We got really bored of sight seeing and all the obligatory pictures, and so I devised some entertainment to kill time.
It started with Korea...and now Japan.
The jump!
Looks like the brother's got some spring stuck onto his shoes.
This tree reminded me of a huge bonzai plant.
City scapes is always a welcoming sight.
Ginza district.
Walked past the Swarovski shop, and I love love love the way they spill crystal all over the display area.
It's all sparkly when we walk past. It's crystal on the floor. Not sand or bead!
Lunch! Some Fat lamb hotpot. It's chinese name is called "fei yang", followed by more shopping.
We stopped by the Manga land, and the brother went nuts in there, while the rest of us (dad, mom and I) stood around patiently, while he goes crazy.
This Alice in wonderland picture caught my eye.
She's so pretty!
I didn't like the rest of the Alices in the calendar, and I didnt buy them then.
Later in the night, we went to yet another bookstore, and I piled up on japanese fashion magazines! It was awesome. Buy them all!
Back in the Hotel, Shiseido amenities for us to use...
It was really the best shampoo that I've tried in the entire trip, and probably too late to purchase any, because I bought too much magazines, and was worried about weight. :(
Convenience store raid.
Bought this nectar jucie. Its super yummy!
What's wrong with Sunkist! Why isn't the nectar juice available in Singapore?
Stocked up on funky cupnoodles.
Flavours are self explanatory with the pictures.
Not in the picture would be the milk seafood.
It taste yummy too, but I only tried that after I left Japan.
Being nice, I bought an extra set to bring home for the sister.
As usual, I could not resist cream cakes.
It's delicious!
Next day, we headed out for the Odaiba area where its some sort of a outlet shopping district.
Morning default face.
Frozen smiles in action.
Checking out the hair actually, because I tied them while travelling, so as to clock longer sleeping time.
Vending machine time!
This honey lemon is good.
It's also a warm drink, but it's yummy!
Took pictures with the mommy, and the brother photobombed.
:)
Tokyo Divers city.
The brother gets very excited!
Because we saw a giant Gumdam. It's his favourite.
You have no idea how much he spends on collecting Gundams.
Found some spiky fruit all littered all over the area, and I picked them up to satisfy my curiousity. Nano durians, I call them.
Here's a close up of how it looks!
Fan boy in his happy world.
Beamsabel Umbrella, whatever its supposed to be.
At toyota's
I'm not a Toyota fan, so I scurried away to Kawaii Paradise.
Well it really was my paradise!
Kitty with a pom pom head gear!
I'm super lousy with all the UFO claw catchy thingie..so picture it is.
I stepped out of Kawaii Paradise with 1 hugeass hellokitty clock, a Kimono Kitty, a shiny metallic Hello Kitty purse, and that was about it I think?
Strolled past a petshop, and I went nuts in there.
The dogs I met in Japan are all super polite.
Can someone please explain to me why?
Why is it that my Trixie will look like a wild child, if she prances next to this poodle?
Awww so cute! I always wanted a poodle.
You have to check out her backside, and her cool leopard print leash.
Her leash is the fluffy type, and I attempted to make one for Trixie, because I cant seem to find it in Singapore, or the store that I was in.
The pet store sells clothes for dogs.
Marie Cat outfit!
Monsters Inc and Toy Story characters for your dog to dress up in.
Alas, Trixie's gonna get a heat stroke if I buy one set for her. :(
Went off for a ferry ride subsequently, and we walked past a ferris wheel.
and we visited a temple.
Yet another polite looking poodle.
It's a boy!
I wannnnt!
These 2 terriers are funkier, but still polite-er than Trixie. :(
Then it was dinner.
BBQ meat. Yummeh!
I was starving and all ready to eat up the normal food, until I realized what the daddy ordered....
Alaskan king crab!
Look at how huge it is! It's larger than my face!
Followed by Kobe Beef.
Biiiiiffuuuuuu schticku!
Beef looks deflated after its being cooked by the chef.
All that eating I did. There was no supper that night.
This was my last breakfast in Japan, before we headed off to Hongkong.
I saw this radio set at the breakfast area, and I remembered it was featured in one of the movies.
For the life of me, I cannot remember what movie it was.
This radio set works!
The female singer opens her mouth, and the instrument players all move accordingly to the music.
I want!
Boarded the plane, and its about the end of my Spring adventures.
This is the last few pictures of my brother with his hair.
