pretaiwan trip stuff

Looking back, it has been a long while since i last posted an entry.
I had been busy with work, and getting ready for the Taiwan trip.
And now that I am back from Taiwan, i need time to go through and filter the Taiwan pictures that has been taken. (getting pictures from Dad and Da's camera requires lots of time.. and i would also need to do the layout nicely, before posting them online... do be patient with me!)

In the meanwhile, let's look at pictures taken pre Taiwan..

A random picture taken at MOS - the lights and my top made a pretty picture effect, and i would think that the make up for the night is just right!

Sushi made with love! With mommy hanging around at home now, my tummy is spoilt rotten. I have regular meals, with a nice variety...and it generally just means better quality food and variety - sure beats eating out every other meal.
It has been years since mommy last attempted to make sushi! It's nothing compared to what most eateries has to offer, but the taste of it evokes so much memories of the past. mmmm...sweet memories.
With all that inconsistent rain and storm, i past time fooling around in a dressing room, some afternoon ago, waiting for the rain to go away, and there you go, multiple shots of a really bored daphne, with her new haircut nevertheless!
Yup you got it! This is probably the shortest haircut that i have spotted in the recent years!
I like it because it somewhat made me look skinner! Hahahahha! You think so?

Oh well, that's about all the decent pictures i have to post for now... until i find the time and mood to post up Taiwan pictures!

Being thankful.

Hieeee! I'm back!
I did not feel quite up to blogging the past few days.
Being exceptionally busy with work, i could not muster the energy to look through the insane number of pictures i have taken.
Having just received pictures from Crix's camera just days ago, we have Daphne clamouring up a lorry during supper sessions post Zouk.
It should be DJ G.D. playing that night, where it got me started on the song "Mindcircus" all over again!

A more recent picture of us hanging out at Wala wala on Saturday. The UnXpected band was playing, and so happened we had a birthday celebration for one of their band members, so i had a taste of Breadtalk's strawberry cheesecake, and i must say that it tasted yummy. It wasnt quite as yummy to get cream smeared on my face though..

Random pictures taken for fun, out of sheer boredom.
More boredom, which explains for the photoshop.
More photoshop!

Feeling rather down these few days - between being overworked, facing sacarstic crappy customers, depressingly cold and clammy weather, lack of sleep, suspense of exam results, and the death of Pebbles, I've burst into tears quite a number of time, but luckily smiley lolly's around to cheer things up.

For all that have happened the past few days, i am thankful that i am cared for, be it lollies, or all the help and tips that i've had for exam revisions, the condolences expressed, and the words of encouragement spoken. After all, what doesnt kill me, only serves to make me a stronger person.

I've been busy preparing my wardrobe in anticipation for our coming Taiwan trip. Da and i spent an entire night going through our wardrobes, selecting and coordinating our outfits. I am looking forward to my trip!
Hoo!

Good bye Pebbles.

5 Dec 2007.
Goodbye Pebbles, my little teddy bear.
I'll miss you. It wasn't too long ago when i brought you back home. You were such a cute little hammie baby, and you grew up to be such an endearing little fella with that dauntless front you always showed me, even towards the end.
I wished you could have stayed with me for a little longer.
You'll always be my special little star.

It was merely less than 2 months since i discovered his "tumor" problem.
Da and i spent a night discussing his condition, researching and reading up, and we decided against euthanasia for 2 reasons.
1) Despite the presence of huge bulborous tumors, Pebbles' cheerful deposition never faltered. He was cheerful, alert, and always does what a brother does - to care for Tiger Lily.
If Pebbles doesnt give up on his life, why should we give up on him?
2) Tiger Lily's reliance on Pebbles for friendship, companionship, and to care, groom and feed her. It is just too cruel to seperate them.

He bravely battled his illness for as long as he could withstand, and i'm proud of him truly.
He taught me perseverance, courage and love that i never knew tiny animals were capable of.
Goodbye little one.
