Happy Birthday

As May is approaching an end rather soon, I reckon that I should not procrastinate on this post any longer.

Respective to the timeline, here we go:

29th
Happy 55th Birthday Daddy!
Thank you for loving the family and me + totally doting on Trixie.
Please lose some weight on the belly, and stay uber healthy forever and ever and eva!

It's good that the daddy made it back to Singapore for his 55th!
The fam had a few imprompt dinner the past few days, and his official birthday dinner is barely digested.

We wrapped up the fun with the entire family + Trixie going down to the playground to play some shoot-into-the-sky toy.
It's some bits of plastic with LED lights attached, and with the use of a Rubberband, you propel the LED light bit into the sky.
We sort of challenged each other and the highest we shot it was about 12 storeys high, with the brother being the most consistent of the lot.
It's pretty to watch it spiral downwards with the lights and colors.
Cheap fun!
3 for RMB10.
We kinda broke the toy after too many plays.
And I shot my fingers with the rubberband twice.
Poor finger. Feels bruised.

The doggie just went down for a run at the empty ground, before we decided to let her play with the playground after we were done with the shooting toy.
Like...carry the doggie down the slide and stuff.
Trixie - seems to have taken the adventurous part of the family.
Doesnt seem to be afraid of heights, slides, wobbly seats, see saw and exercise equipments.
I even spun her in the twisty thing and she was nonchalant!
Watching the parents play at the exercise equipment part of the playground was entertaining as usual. ;)

On other news, I broke in my newly collected passport with the fam.
We tread into JB on a sunday and it was a terrible day to do so.
Jammmmed like mad. From Singapore immigrations, to causeway to Malaysia immigrations. Took us a freaking 2 hours to set foot into Johor Bahru.
I kinda caught up on my lost sleep in the car, and got myself half a tan in the process.
I think my right arm and leg is darker than my left.

Ate like a glutton in Malaysia.
mmmmmm yummy.
As I'm usually not very impressed with the fashion and clothes in JB - my only consolation would be my food binge trips.
Yay!

27th
Elizabeth's 21.
Went down on the 26th to celebrate E's 21st birthday at Sentosa.
I feel ancient there.
It was a nice floral-y fun if you ask me.
We met a peacock, and I tried taking pictures with the cocky fella.
zzzZZzz..
Saturday is a mad day to set foot into Sentosa.
The crowd is scary. Tourist move by the platoon.
It looked like they were gathering to fight a war or move a giant from Liliputt
I nearly died when I saw the Tram queue.
Thank gawd I insisted on taking the buggy, we zipped around hassle free.
:D

26th
Happy 1st birthday my little Trixie-chan.
My puppykins is no longer a puppy.
Weehhhh :(

I gave her a grown up lady doggie look, and I guess I should start calling her Trixie-san
since she's considered an adult doggie now.

Is this how mothers feel when their little babies grow up?
Coz I still think that my dog's a puppy.
A hyper monkey that does a million shuttle run a day.
Not some docile doggie as depicted by the cartoon - Lady & the Tramp by Walt disney.
No way.
She still acts like a monkey, age factor is a lie!

The dad also spammed lots of treats to the dog every time he walks past the kitchen.
His rationale was - it's her birthday!
Therefore she gets special treatment
(between the blog and me, my dad just spams tons of dog treats because he thinks its fun and the dog loves him.
The doggles practically sits next to hims whenever he has food in his hands, and shoots him sad puppy eyes. Works everytime. Rwar! That's how he spoils her.)
Wahhhhhh

Luckily he's back home inconsistently.
Otherwise I'll need to hide her stash of treats away, just like how mommy hides the tibits stash from Daddy too.
Both will be fatties together, and maybe my dog will not have fur anymore.
#Bestfriends.
Tsk.

10th
Happy Birthday Audrey.
One of my favoritest person in the world.
I'm abit sad that I havent found time to meet up with her...YET!
I will. Soon!
#i'm a Badfriend

6th
Happy Birthday Ben!
for YEARS, I never failed to wish my Bestie Happy Birthday on the 5th, and he'll always reply me that I wished him one day too early.
So I told myself that I WOULD wish him correctly this year.
Blah!
6th skipped by so quickly, and I only remembered again on the 7th.
Idiotic or what?!
There is obviously a time lapse in my head.
6th may does not exist!

The only consoling part to Ben that I never fail to remind him was that...
At least I seriously remembered his birthday without the help of gadgets, facebook and other forms of calendar. Even though the date is wrong.
Coz seriously, if I repeated the same mistakes for like more than 10 years in a row, there is something seriously wrong with me.
Just that the data entry part of my memory was "keyed" in wrongly.
Hahahha.

Okay. I'm a bad friend.
#BadfriendAgain

3rd
Happy Birthday Quacks.
May you be happy forever and settle down quickly.

Here we go.
My birthday heroes for the month of May.
May all of you be happy, healthy, and wealthy and good looking.
That's about everything that humans can wish for. :D

xoxo

Good Girl Turn Bad

Aha!
My newest fascination would be this korean song by the girl group Miss A.
Was shopping when I heard the song.
As it is korean, there is zero % of a miracle that I'll be able to google the song out - so I "soundhound" it to get the Song title.

Rwar!
Super love their Music video.
Now I want a girl group of my own.
The style direction gave me some random inspiration of my own...and ok, retreating back to my own lala land with this..
*beams*

Idle brains not

I realized that there hasn't much worth updating for the past week, and that I've been kinda occupied with everything, which is kind of a good thing, if you ask me.
Tons of stuff to be done, and I haven't gotten to collect the freaking passport.
Please please let wednesday be a good day to get the passport.
No more stupid delays -.-"

I've been talking about sending the doggie for her fur trim, and its also something undone at the moment.
She is beginning to look like a stray mongrel of sorts already.
One of those unloved puppies you see in the abused animal adverts
Hahhaha.

I tied her ears loosely together, hoping that she will look neater.
Fail.
*no dogs was harmed or hurt, otherwise she wouldn't be posing sedately for me in the pictures

#ForeverMessyDoggie

She looks kinda happy to be a rabbit doggie, if you ask me, and her hairtie matches her tongue color.
Hahahha!

Oh my Macdonalds bingeing season just started again.
Meet my Hamburglar Kitty.
She looks quite morbid in her black ribbon, but quite chi-chi as well.

Rwar!
If only they carry the Pork Samurai Burger just like Thailand.
I miss Bangkok!
Need cheap shopping badly.
Need to breathe foreign air even more badly.
:(

Been doing quite abit of rewind lately on my old styles to influence current time.
I've been reverting back to my old photoshop favourites, and I came up with this.
Same Daphne, different ribbons, Same photoshop skills.
Jumping back to my old PS style, I sometimes wonder what the heck was I thinking of, when I did them up.

I used to fancy the comic strip look in the past too, together with my caps and short hair in tow.
Maybe I should fix up a current one to beat this monkey face strip.
I also miss my old brushes stuck in the old lappy
Time to start hunting for butterfly brushes again

Hurhurhurhur.

Updating mid may..

Everyone say hi to Bunny!
we took this last week, before I headed out to Cindy's to fix my hair (gotta love how out of shape my hair looked and the amazing black roots!).

Bunny's piling on weight like a fatty, but he's still cute with a double fur chin and his big round eyes!

The bestie brought me to his newly discovered place for supper, to replace our non existent Himawari sessions.
He ordered the Oden ( I always thought it was a jappy dish? not sure why nationality changed...but yeah...  Korean Yong tow Foo served in sticks yo)

Seriously the food portion is insanely huge, and zealously salty after one too many sticks and soup.
The place seems authentically korean and really quiet, so we could chill and gossip all we wanted!
The Oden and a small serving of vegetable pancake and it amounted to 60 bucks.
Hmmmm I'd rather stick back to buffets next time.

Thinking about this, I'm having sashimi craving at 3am in the morning!

Went shopping and I snapped my outfit of the day #OOTD while I was in the fitting room.
Not sure what you'll call this ensemble style though. : /

Another shot.
Wearing my favourite Red Tee dress.
Jersey chain necklace
Teardrop stained glass necklace from my defunct Bowtique
Grey knee socks
and my velvet grey oxfords.
I shall avoid talking about my shopping harvest... because my wallet is still screaming from the exercise.
I shall try to spend with caution until the wallet recovers.
and post up pictures of my loots another day!

Doesn't help that I got reminded about the red bottega bag again!

And here's one of myself before I headed down for an afternoon swim looking rather
pudgey.
I'm contemplating the purple version of this bikini set in the same cut.
Rwar!
Should I? Should I not? Should I? Should I not..Should I?
It's not like I swim everyday right?
But still!

I have no absolute idea why my hands look so weathered and veiny here.
Like some odd job labourer's hands.
Arghhh!

Granted that I look like I need to eat more...
and put on some weight to look healthy and crappy stuff like that

Here's one of myself in 2007 taken back in Bali.

There we go - in comparison to 2007, I'm looking rather pudgey in 2012.
Haha!

I reckon It's time to take the pilates mat out for an airing, and maybe take up that Tango class that I've been rattling on, since forever!

Mom's logic

I saw this on Facebook, and its like so true!
Wow wee!

I wonder if it'll work for bubble tea.
Hahaha

The one that got away...

This is my new favourite song!
Boyce Avenue outdid themselves again.
Yay!

Summer fringe tank tops

It's summer, and I've been hunting for the perfect fringed top for the longest time, and its sort of a failed attempt.
The ones I've found so far, are kinda too cropped and short for my liking.
Argh. I hate showing my white belly!

I decided that I shall take matters into my own hands again, and just go ahead to fringe my own tops.

Rwar!

While Im still at my fringed craze, I also bought myself fringed heels just for kicks as well.
I took pictures of them to show Lydia my new purchase...just some days ago. :)

and here's how they look like, when worn!

Likey!
But I have to admit that they are a tad complicating looking, so it took me awhile to fight the jungle look away, to make my feet look more modern, instead of tribal jungle girl.

Will try to post up pictures of my newly operated tank tops.
Hopefully the surgery will turn out fine for the tops, or i'll be heart broken to lose a perfectly pretty top.
*crosses fingers really hard*

Rewinding fridays

Some time back, Claud was hunting for Shanghai Rouge theme related stuff for inspiration, and she found a video link.

She happily watched and texted me to inform me that she found a video similar to what she wanted, etc and told me to check out the link.
The happy girl watched the entire video, and only at the end of the entire video when she saw my picture, she realized that I was in cahoots with youtube, called me up to scream at me.

Hahahhaha.
Like seriously, it really wasn't my fault that the first link she clicked on had me in it, but still it was funny to hear her yell.

I also realized that I've never gotten round to posting the performance video in here.
Not sure why the resolution is sooooo bad in the video, but watching it again, I guess it brings back fond memories of the event.
( I'll prolly dig around in the hard drive for my own stash of the video...and see if its any better)

*I found them!
I also realized that my camera's version of the performance is terrible in terms of footage.

The sister was being really realistic that night, and she erm.. only video-ed the important bits.
Hahahahhaha
Sometimes I really love her so much..and sometimes I just want to wring her neck so bad.
But in this instance, I heart her for being so direct with the video.
Hahahahha

I've also been told that my flyaway skirt is very distracting, but Hello! I was wearing dancing shorts underneathe ok?!
Its not my panties that i'm flashing!

Traipsing alittle more in my past entries, and I also got reminded about how unhappy I was, being Bruised Lee.
Physically worned out was a small matter (after a good 4 years, I think its finally safe to spit out the truth right?)

How I hated the internal strive between incompetent seniors who think the world of themselves (not everyone in the team, just specific ones), bureaucratic management that the team practice and the sad fact that even in hobbies, internal politics exist too (gimme a break man!)
Competitiveness is overrated.

I hate it when people have agendas and points to prove.
Blah!

Anyway, Happy Friday!
The postman just came with my shopping!

Ripping my package apart, I realized that my items are all white.
They dont look very exciting, until I get to put them on.
:)

Photologue

I found an insane number of pictures in my phone, and decided to share all my random pictures here..
it's not exactly praise worthy pictures, but heck!
Here we go!

I took this when I collected my ribboned platforms in Fiery Red.
Hmmmmm I like!
Great for rainy weathers, because those shoes are water proof?

Bunny & I
I dressed him up for Christmas, remember?
I realized that this picture never made it to any post in particular.
I only remembered this picture, when I took out my asymmetrical crochet top out to wear for the second time.
Whoops!

It's funny how Bunny perpeptually looked surprised in pictures.
Awww.. he's still a cute little guy anyway!
He hardly throws tantrum at me anymore :)

This was the first batch of cupcakes that I was raving on and on about at Urban pooch.
the extreme top 2 that was unfeatured in pictures - baileys flavoured, the pretty purple one would be the lavender cupcakes.
Eating the Lavender ones, a wave of sleepiness would wash over me.
How relaxing!
The square cupcake would be Trina's infamous Hokkaido custard cream cake.
That's the bomb!

Second Batch of Cupcakes that Trina baked.
We met at Ben & Jerrys this time.
The cupcakes topped with a chocolate ball are passion fruit flavoured (at a glance, I'm not sure what's wrong with me, but I keep seeing 3 nipples staring back at me. Hohohoho), while the cacao dusted ones are earl grey flavoured, paired with brandy cream. Awesome!
I changed my mind, and now my favourite would be the Earl Grey ones!
Not forgetting the Hokkaido Custard cream cake that I brought home after I was done at Ben & Jerrys.
Yums!

Linna finally brought Miso out.
In our previous outing, Linna only brought Bebe (the mommy along)
Miso is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!
She is like one furry clump of cutie pie!
Wahhh! I wanted to dognap her home.
She is very well behaved for a puppy, unlike certain *ahem* dog that is constantly punished at home for sneaking into the kitchen, destroying some perfectly pretty shoes and other petty crimes.
Blah.

Speaking about the doggie at home, I captured this funny shot of her after her day out at the Urban pooch cafe.
She looked like she sort of fainted.
Just like that, motionless (which is very unusual of her)

If I walked by, she'll walk a few steps to accompany me, then collapse randomly nearby.
Like a road kill. Lololo.
Highly amusing, seeing how she's always extremely hyper ALL THE TIME.

My little furry monkey has finally put on SOME weight!
She's currently 5.6kg (200grams heavier)!
So proud of her!
She's also totally capable of sitting still on the weighing machine.
Kiut of what?!
Hahahah!

My furtile attempts to girlify my doggie - of which, I've decided to add a flower to her collar whenever we head out.
People rarely ask me about the gender of my doggie now.
Yay! Successkid.jpg

That flower is 100% handmade by me. :)
Bought the materials and just sort of put them together to get a flower!

I'm one of those who cannot stop reading a book, once I start on them.
This one was taken, when I sat in the tub with the book in my hand for too long and decided to lie flat for a back stretch.

I whispered Trixie really softly (while hiding in the tub), and this was what she did!
She popped up just to check on me, to make sure I was alright..
Awww..

Trixie chilling out in my bedroom...when I woke up from my nap.
I'm not sure why she's always looking so messy and unkempt.
Sigh..
I do try to make her neat, but it has been rather unsuccessful to date.

Look at her crappy muzzle/beard.
Rwar!

We also chill out at home together sometimes.
Dog in her bedfur, and owner in her pajammies, lying on the floor.
Not sure why the doggie looked so emo here...

Dog was supposed to be in this shot, but she left me to scratch herself, or something.
I reckon this is how I would look like, after a face lift.
Hahahha.
No filter for this crappy picture.
Plus, there is a difference in picture quality whenever a filter is added, so...
naked faced daphne looks like a kiddo without face paint (if I ever were to get a face lift!) .
meep!

I took this after a night out, too lazy to crawl into my room.
I just sat around the dining area and chilled out with the doggles.

Hello May!

Happy May!
May the month of May bring about better joy than April did.

I'm not sure why I've never fancied April much.
It's like a dead beat sort of feeling.
I guess It is sort of a half baked month for me, because after all the birthday celebrations I had in Late February, which kinda got carried over to March, it's no wonder that April feels half baked
Lol.
So boring.

Aside from that, I can only recall eating, eating and eating nonstop lately.
Here's how my weekend goes:

Saturday

The girls decided to bring our pooches out to the West coast for a day of fun!
The event turned out to be alittle more meh than anticipated, so we changed location, and settled for a local pet cafe called the Urban Pooch.

Gosh! Trixie went absolutely nuts there.
All the friends!
We've got Claudia's Japanese Spitz duo (Girlgirl and puppy)- where Trix already made friends with in the car...
Trina's Cocker spanial (Dior)
Linna's Shih Tzu ( Bebe)
The cafe's 2 mascot - a yorkshire terrier and a Daschund (leaf).
Never got their names, but it was crazy fun for the dogs, all that socializing!

For Trixie, it was officially her first proper dog outing, and she was mad hyper.
I lost track of where she constantly was (despite how it was really just a small confined cafe), and concentrated on the cupcakes Trina baked.

Trina baked like tons of alcohol laced cupcakes - they were yummy!
I love how moist they are.
The Brandy and Hokkaido ones are the favouritest, followed by the Lavander ones that makes me sleepy, and the Baileys - which technically were the ones that got me started on her alcohol laced cupcakes.
I ate the most cakes that day, and even brought home 2 more for supper!

At Urban Pooch, I ordered lunch - which consisted of Teriyaki sandwich and it came along with a drink and carrot soup (sounded yucks - coz Im a carrot hater, but turns out to be quite yummy, and I lapped everything up dry!)

The brother had IKEA craving in the evening, and I ate up  about 10 pieces of meatballs for dinner, and mommy ordered additional chicken wings.
I had 2 wings, and ended dinner with a vanilla ice cream cone.

IKEA is evil.
For every $20 spent on dining, they gave us a $5 voucher that could be used on any furniture purchases.
The fam had to scour the entire complex, just to find how we could spend that $5 voucher wisely (unwisely actually)
I went home with new sheets (they're pretty with rosebuds design, and now I cant wait to change my 3 day old sheets), and some boring stuff that mommy decided that she wanted - like pillow protector. ugh.

For the want of a $5 discount, we easily spent $50?!
That's why I say, IKEA is evil.
Muaahahahha.

Sunday
Woke up to mom's home cooked Prawn noodles.
I like them so much that I request for both Lunch and Dinner to be the same thing.
Love the soup broth!
Post dinner, I headed out for my daily does of Bubble tea, and later ate up my
2 servings of buns from Bread talk.
Hours later, 1 regular bowl of kokocrunch and milk for a good sleep.

Monday
Woke up and ate up my mixed fruit custard tart from Bread talk.
Walked over to the village to get my shoes repaired.
Since the shoe uncle said that I had to wait for over an hour for my shoes, I decided to camp out at Sushi Tei and contemplated ordering a Chankonabe - a sumo sized version of hotpot that could feed about 2-3 pax!

I ended up with a serving of Chawanmushi (steamd egg custard) and the single portion Beef Kaminabe - which essentially is a pot miso based soup served in paper pot,
Love how I'm ordering something legit that has a vulgar-ish undertone (in dialect)
Especially when I order the kaminabe when mommy's around. I swear she's controlling a wince at the sound of it, or perhaps a facial twitch.
Legit dish on the menu, but YET so close to sounding like i'm muttering a swear word.
Woots!

Hahaha.
Not sure if the name of the dish brings in more entertainment factor for me, or its just pure yummy.
For today, it's because I craved Miso soup SO BADLY.
I had my daily dosage of Bubble tea - J treated me to KOI's caramel milk tea today when I met her, and then it was home for dinner after!
A short white later, I attacked the chiffon cake perched on the table, and
stole some of my brother's instant Borsh soup.

It wasn't enough, and I ate up my green tea swiss roll.
My stomach was outraged at how tiny the slice of swiss roll was, as I tried to pass it off as sustenance.
I finally gave up and settle for some Instant kway chup thew in some meatballs, a packet of golden mushroom, an egg, and now i'm satiated.

Ima be fatter than my daddy soon.

Rwar.
Someone's gone to the states.
Someone's gone to Vietnam
and some self consolation - someone's coming from Jakata
to binge eat with me.
Woo hoo!

Since the 1st of May is a holiday, Ima meeting the girls for more alcohol laced cupcakes later!
No dogs today!
The fluffy one has just gotten a bath and is looking extremely fafi at the moment, therefore no more outings.

Trixie's trick for the month of April - would be to Tunnel!
She knows how to burrow/creep/stoop over my knees whenever I'm seated on the floor with my feet planted firmly to the ground - that's when my legs form a little tunnel of sorts.
I've managed to make her walk through like within 2 seconds flat.
She's so smart, and yet so naughty.
What am i going to do with her?
ARghhh..
