Goodbye May.

I decided that I had enough of my dark hair roots, and decided to get them fixed!
However, I haven't had much opportunities to snap any nice pictures of my hair color, sooooo
I shall replace my hair pictures with....
a random shot I took while swimming earlier!
My new twisted bandeau bikini in florescent orange and orchid purple.
I declare that orchid purple is like my new favourite purple for this season!
Yay!

Well that, and the new hair color on my head - looking mega boring here.

 ---

I sewed the bitbit bunnies a set of new outfit each, and have since decided that Honey shall officially be a boy, because Honey (ok it's a gay name for a boy, but I'm not changing names)
is duh... honey colored (tanned), and waaaaay taller than Hops.

Doesn't make sense to make 2 girl outfits, and the bunnies are in absolutely different proportions, so Honey and Hops shall be a couple.
Lol.

I attempted a photoshoot for them - realized that I have zero talent in photography...
sooo this shall suffice.

My attempt to make Honey look "Manly"
with what transpired as my version of a simple Korean style inspired outfit.
hahah...

Hop's dress details.
I was going for Sexy cute.
Alot of details uncaptured, hence the "upskirt" short to do my hardwork and details some justice!
I gave her a Tulle ribbon headband, and a ballerina "tutu" at the bottom of her skirt.
And if you actually noticed in the earlier picture, I gave Hops some front ruffles so that she'll have a "poof" in front.
ok kinda -_-" right.
But I like!
I shall also attempt to make them a casual beach outfit sometime soon!
(soon as my index finger "recovers" from all that hand stitching trauma.)

and bokeh's offically my new favourite brush!

I took a million pictures with my bitbits, and so i'll post up a couple of pictures I yanked out from photobooth  ♥

Bitbits. My new Love

Was hanging out at Vivo the other day, when I fell in ♥!
Those korean bunnies look so adorable hanging out at the Cart stores!
As I was climbing up the escalator, I heard a lady telling her colleague to find out the price of the bunnies!
My point is, I'm not the only crazy one here..
*chins*

Look at them, so adorable sitting together!
The white one kept flirting with me!
Nonstop!

Unlike the rebellious REAL black bunny that I have at home.
I went back and forth around Vivo in a dilema.
-> I REALLY want them
-> but have since swore off stuffed friends for years...
-> I still really wanting the bunnies badly..

Since I was going flipping crazy with my major shopping contemplation,
I did what any logical female shopper would do,
that is to walk away and continue with my major mental reasoning (really hoping that I would come to a conclusion soon!)

I chanced upon a second cart selling the same loot...and they made me an offer that no sane person could resist.

You buy the big one, I give you the small one for FREEEEE.
Omg!
That solved my dilema, and brought about a new problem - The choice of color and outfit.

I love the white bitbit to bits!
but looking at Muffin the "white" fat seal nesting at home in bed...
I went for the tea colored bitbit, and consoled myself that the small white one is free - so I wouldnt feel too sad when she turns the same shade of grey as my "white" seal.

My new long ear-ed friends making their way home!
Meet Hops and Honey.
Naming Honey, was a no brainer, Hops on the other hand was tricky
I came up with a long list of names, just so they would rhyme together, and would still fit my white rabbit.

Honey and Hops safe in bed.
I'm itching to bring Hops out in my handbag, but the thought of Hops turning dirty made me ditch the attempt. Meeehhh :(

Just because I dont wear Tee shirts in public...

I received a Tee shirt during one of Zouk's 20/20 anniversary celebration.
The Mambo Jambo Tee in White.

Well the print of the tee is kinda cute, and I've also got some major attachments to Mambo Jambo (it's officially my 10th year since I first entered Zouk!)

The problem is Mademoiselle here, doesn't wear unisex Tee shirt much - unless I absolutely have to...like for work related purpose/event or that you're about to pay me $1000 bucks to wear it out.
Otherwise, Tee shirts will not be a free will matter.

Looking at the sad fate of the Zouk tee, it is either
1) going to be Pajamas,
2) go under the knife and become something else with the possibility of becoming a scrappy, as with some of my other failed experiments..

Since I was in my "creative" streak last month, I decided that the Tee would have to undergo reconstruction surgery!

From looking like this
(okay mine's in white, and I didn't take a "BEFORE" picture of it, since I was like raring to  slice it up - we'd have to settle for what ever I could get from Google)
and I made it into THIS! Ta dah!
So pretty right?
I offically called it my Limited edition, Mambo Jambo dress, Since there's only like 1 of its kind in the entire singapore. Lalalala...

Here's what I did:

1) I chopped away the sleeves
2) Cut away the neckline
3) Added shoulder straps - which in turn girli-fy the Tee, and the other purpose was to shift the hem length lower to my bottom hip area.
4) Added the "skirt" layer to further lengthen it into a dress.

As for my choice of fabric for the shoulder strap + skirt area, the fabrics were wholly scavenged from scrap fabrics available in my Fabric stash (Yes, I happen to be somewhat a fabric hoarder)

Here's how the dress look, when worn!

I'm pondering if I should add another layer on the skirt layer to make the dress silhouette alittle more poof - as supported with my "hourglass" proportion theory from my previous entry
But I'm feeling LAZY at the moment, sooooo Nope.
Not for now.

I've chose to contrast the dress with the color Navy, because
1) it matches the Navy outlines of the print, and to create a softer contrast as opposed to using a harsh black.
2) While using white will make the dress look boring, and somewhat create a very chaste feel - which is very IRONIC for a zouk tee right?
3) I am also quite autocratic when it comes to the usage and matching of colors.
They have to be the same family!
You cant wear Yellow, Red and Green in an outfit, coz you'll look like a clown! (think yellow pants, red top, green socks or something like that!)
The unstated rule of wearing different shades of black together, or white/white or denim/denim together for that matter - is just wrong as well!!
Faux paus to the max, and prolly only rare people like Galliano can pull off.
4) And in this case, using black would just mean I have zero eye for detail!
I insist!

Speaking of detail.....
I am rather pleased to announce that I've managed to preserve the Zouk logo printed at the back of the tee that was previously supposed to sit at the shoulder!
It is barely visible when worn tho. :(
I'm sorry, but you'll need a mirror to read the word "zouk" in the picture..

While posting this entry, I have a sudden inspiration to turn a Tee into a toga tunic dress.
Problem is - I dont have pretty Tee to work on at the moment.
How Ironic eh?

I shall end off this entry with a random smiley picture of myself!

ok byes!

Moving into my semi flutter shorts craze....

The bunny was out of food - like totally out of proper nomming supplies, so I had to make a trip over to Pet Lovers before he actually becomes a bunny skeleton or something!

I dragged myself out of bed, yanked on my lazy clothes - which currently would be the flutter shorts in all assortments and briefly made my way out.
I didnt even apply any make up (wokay, I drew myself some eyebrows, just so that I wouldn't freak people out.)

Walking by foot, I was rather entertained with my shadow!
It also dawned upon me (subconsciously) why I'm quite into the entire flutter-shorts get up at the moment.
Because, my shadow actually looks quite hot when i'm in those shorts!
* yeah dont puke!

Because wearing the Flutter shorts actually created the illusion of an HOUR GLASS figure - at least that's what I saw in my shadow!
lol.

With a "twig" body shape, I've never had much of a bum / ass / hips.
Sooooo because the shorts are cute and poofy, they created the illusion of nice proportioned hips and ass.
Yayness!

In fact, one of my favourite quotes from Mademoiselle Coco Chanel that i'll like to share says
Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.
Chanel, Coco

Yup! It's always about the proportions. ALWAYS. :)

I attempted to illustrate the silhouette out, and took the pictures using my blackberry (if there's one thing that I hate about my blackberry, it'll have to be the sucky camera with no autofocus function)

If you will pardon the bad drawing and scrutinize just the shape illustrated... you'll see that the shoulders and hip area (donated by the poof of my shorts) are proportionately balanced - therefore creating the "hour glass" illusion.
:D
I tried taking a picture of my slipshod outfit when I came home.
Do bear in mind that my destination was just a 10mins walk away from home, I had little fashion and color sense here, but i'm quite serious about my hot shadow!!
Hahahha!

In the Navy flutter shorts..
In the crochet lace version that I wore with my thigh socks before heading out to zouk many nights ago..
I also secretly think that my legs look longer from this view....
and the flutterheart skorts that's currently available in my shop.
you see, it totally gave me an ass from the back view!
My flutterhearts is in the wash at the moment, or i'll totally drag it out for a fashion shoot, since i'm on the topic. :(

Flutter shorts aside  - just to prove my "hourglass" theory - about adding volumes to the bottom and defining the shoulders, here's another picture of my attempt to create the "hourglass" illusion.

By emphasizing the shoulders with my black cape cardi, and pairing it with the drapey little black shorts, viola!

I'm loving this picture to bits! Looks like I've got an awesome figure to die for!
Totally have to credit the sister for her photography talents during our Bowtique photoshoot.

Speaking of shorts, I'm practically living in shorts with the insane heat we're experiencing lately.
If only my parents own an icecream factory, I get tubs of icecream to soak in, until summer's over.

Random headshot

Random headshot of myself that I found in the camera.
Attempted to curl my hair that night, therefore must do the traditional headshot.
My attempt to revive my blog as a form of self entertainment seems a little meh at the moment.

I'm looking forward to the launch of the website.
Just gave the design team the go-ahead to codify the design for the shop's website!

Since i'm on the subject of the shop... might as well start talking about it.

SCRAPED the idea of using Buttonsandbow because it was too much of a mouthful to remember/recite/spell. Figured that it was also too act cute, as what seemed to work when one was 18 years old, doesn't quite work when one is 28.
LOL!

Instead, I decided on BOWTIQUE - as a form of word play, and partly also because of my infamous craze over the red bow-ed kitty kat that i am still obsessing over at the moment.

What!
It's catchy, easy to remember, and still maintained that 10% of my quirky-ness in it.

Besides bowtique came to me like "wham" in 2 seconds while I was out shopping, and I spent the next 5 mins doing my decision dissonance between the former name, and the new one that just came to me.

I later spent the next 5 mins bbm/texting/whatsapping friends to ask them for their preference, and bowtique it was!

Ta daaa!

Coming up with the logo - I had to angst alot.
I was unsatisfied with the simple one I came up with, and nearly went blind from the suggested logos I got from the design team.

I finally settled on myself made logo in my furtile attempt to save cost - as the ones the team came up with really did not impress the socks off my toes. Blah!

Look!  Like it or not, this IS my official logo. *smirk*

I am in the midst of angsting over my name card design, of which - i'm still blank on ideas, or perhaps lazy to start on it..

I realize that I angst alot lately, from logo design, website design and now namecard design.
It was like, I could find a thousand reasons to emo over the smallest thing that displeased my expectations.
Driving myself nuts in the process.

Talking to the design team made me super emo and upset at times.
I could not understand why the fella simple cannot understand my lingo (I'm darn sure their accounts exec is not an art/design trained person), and many ideas and instructions was lost in translation to their house designer.
I solved that, by making multiple trips to the office, just so that EVERYONE was on the same page as I am with regards to my ideas and demands.

To make things worst, i'm quite the picky Daphne, when it comes to details, it had to be the way I wanted it.
I spent weeks angsting over the right shade of red they had to use, and how the red color applied is never consistent. ARghhh!

sounds like a minor issue to many, but a major eyesore to me.
I know i'm quite the brat/perfectionist/nit picker when I actually get serious about something.

Grumbles aside,

www.bowtique.com.sg is currently under construction, but shopping is made available via facebook!
Just click HERE or BOWTIQUE to start shopping.
I've been faithfully loading up new products almost everyday, and when the site is launch ready, I promise everything in collection uno would be up by then. *beams*

I'll love it if you could also like the Bowtique page, just so you could receive future updates.

Promote your Page too

Love!

My new "Tron" dress

Went shopping the other day, and I bought myself a new frock!
I totally ♥ the volume of the dress panel, even though it was very big for me.
Had to throw in a sash to give myself the illusion of a waist.

Yeah, it's a crappy picture taken by the Blackberry Bold's camera, and my room is in a Warzone Mess!
I decided to wipe away the entire background picture, just so that you'll be able to focus on my new dress top, rather than the state of my bedroom.
LOL!

I dressed up and wore the outfit to Zouk's Mambo Jumbo!
It's Zouk's 20th anniversary event week, and thus DJ Aldrin (after god knows how many years it has been...) did a guest appearance for the night.
Listening to all that songs that he played, I'd say that I've totally felt as if I was 18 again!
Woots!

It's been a looooong while since I've felt so happy listening to old school music,
Lo and behold, a decade has passed.
Sigh...

Back to my nice frock - the guys all it my Tron (inspired) outfit, and were lamenting about my  choice of pairing it with Skinny jeans instead of just wearing it with say, just my panties!
it's really quite a WTH suggestion!

I reckon pairing it with shorts would provide a blinding effect for all, let's not talk about panties.
Hurhurhur...

Lovely night nevertheless, and I danced until my back died. :(

I went back for more fun the next night, for Armin Van Buren.
The place was packed like tuna flakes!
We went in, took us 20mins to squeeze about - I could barely get enough oxygen to breathe, so let's not even talk about dancing to House music.

As a consolation, the party troop checked-in on their phone apps - to claim their mayorship to the hotdog stand/ zouk's toilet or whatever else they had in mind.
We also ditched the idea of dancing, in favour for Swensen's Earthquake icecream.

I swear I was extremely overdressed for a round of icecream. Tsk!

Its a fun dressed up week, but have to admit that age IS creeping up on me, whether I like it or not.

Over thinking.

I am practically on the verge of going nuts.
My mind is practically running overtime for the past week, and it really isn't healthy.
I'm either lying in bed with a million thoughts running back and forth, or sleep gets disrupted.

I'm moody , grumpy and getting upset unnecessarily, and bordering on paranoia.
Right now, im extremely upset because I cant sleep - properly, like how I'd usually do.

I wish my brains could just switch off like a flip. RIGHT NOW
--

Doesn't help that the server for the shop is down for maintenance, and all the pictures that i've photoshopped cannot be loaded into the shop program.
I've only managed to load up 3 new products tonight.
The 4th/5th item for tonight was rejected, and I've got to redo it all over again - product descriptions and measurements.

Grrrrr..
8 is a bad bad day for technology - so i've just learnt.

Hello kitty Red Bow

It's been quite awhile, and I realized that I am still not gotten off my Hello Kitty in red bow phase yet.
On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being nope , and 10 being a whoppee! ,
I will go along with an 8.5 with my red kitty bow movement.

Too bad, cutesy days isn't going to tide over..YET.
I am still going gaga over bows, Red Bows to be exact.
I just made myself a satin red bow for my personal stash, and just when I thought I should be mightily pleased with my latest creation, the picture of the red poofy bow appeared.
Those poofy bow would triumph mine (satin boring ones) anytime. :(

So I shall attempt to make one for myself!
I'll need to go fabric shopping soon, and stock up on some stuffings to poofi-fy the bow.

Still on the topic of red bow, I would reckon that the Red Bow Kitty Camera is still top of my WANT list!
Rwarrr! I want!

It's not like I will know what to do with it, when I've finally gotten about to getting this for myself,
I figured that it'll be super cute to bring along for a holiday, and I could use my Real camera to snap a picture of myself using the toy kitty camera (quit rolling your eyes)
It'll be how awesome!

Problem is...HEC030N is no longer for sale :(
*meow*

random feeling in march.

This looks like its extremely fun!
Doubt i'll do it tho (running around).
This is a random ramble just to end off March on a nice feel.
April approach, and I'm mightily excited.
Please let everything be good.

*prays, chants and crosses fingers+toes*

and I am thankful for all the help that I am receiving.
Thank you!

Bading 27 Goodbye..

I should post this up to remind myself how I actually look at the end of my 27th year....
So this was taken on 22/23 Feb.

I had a great start to my 28th year, and I am thankful that all that mattered to me actually made quality time for me, despite all their busy schedule.

There was Audrey who rushed off from her crazy work schedule in office, and made it for our late dinner/supper the night before and I thought it was just our monthly catch up, but she remembered about my birthday anyway...

Team India surprised me halfway through my dinner with Audrey, and Crix arranged for a surprise cake for me, while Kuge and Aden got me a Flintstone Comb made from stone.
We caught the "unknown" movie after Audrey left. Silly girl refused to join us for movie. :(

Ben and Fion, despite their crazy wedding schedule - actually remembered and also arranged a cake for me after the banquet food tasting session at the Pan Pacific Hotel.
Imagine a typical 10 course chinese dinner + 1 huge cake + both their parents had to sing me a birthday song (Now getting ur bestie's parents to sing me a birthday song is entirely new to me....) Everyone struggled to finish their slice of cake.

Thinking back, even the serving lady was specially nice to me. Every dish that was given to me was in large, meaty portions!
The duck slices served to me was nicely carved with no bones, and even the pork ribs was boneless... ( I remember thinking to myself about the coincidence of being so lucky to get food portions with the nice bits while watching everyone fight with their serving of meat and bones ) Not forgetting the extra large slice of cake and the "happy birthday" decoration arranged nicely on my slice.
*beams*

There's also Adi who arranged his "fly-back-to-SG-to-Noms" entitlement to coincide with my birthday, just so that I wont complain about him being a bad bestie. (Haha).
The bestie also got me a red Adidas watch that comes with purple backlight (my 2 favorite colors put together), and hence my recent attempt in looking sporty!

Digressing alittle, I received this weird tan mark from my Saturday Flea Market attempt at the Wavehouse. For someone so old already, I have not wised up much when it comes to applying sunblock - so I'm now spotting this weird tank top mark that annoys me every time I get a glance at the mirror.  My only consolation would be that my flea accomplice has got it worst than me, since he applied nothing AT ALL. (haha!)

I also had a great seafood dinner with the family, and had a taste of the expensive Mao Shan Durian, compliments from the sister. It made the D24 taste like crap after! The mao shan durian is potently shiok!

That just about sums up the +/- 1 day of February 25 - not forgetting all the wishes and blessings that I received from friends over Facebook and SMS.

Quoting a passing remark made to me "you are very well loved"
Yes, indeed I am, and I am very thankful for all the love, attention, time, gifts that I have been showered with for the past 27 years.
Writing this serves to remind me of all the goodness that I have been blessed with, should I forget and start taking things for granted.

Geeklet at work : Tethering my Mac to the Blackberry Bold.

Out of sheer necessity of convenience - I've decided to find out on phone/mac tethering just so that I'll be able to use the internet later.
No clue what I'm talking about?

It means that Little Miss Geeklet here will be able to bring her Macbook out for a stroll and still surf the internet, at the convenience of her data plan.
Who needs an internet dongle, when you have your phone's data plan!

It did not take me very long to google, and glance through a useful site , digest the general idea of setting up the linkage between my Macbook to the Blackberry Bold 9000 via bluetooth (well, there was the option of linking up using USB cables....but screw it la, we're talking about a wireless society now, aren't we?!)

I got the tethering set up, tested in 15mins flat or less!
*beams*

I'm all set to meet my web designer later. And just in case tethering might sap up an entire chunk of battery, I'm charging my Snowberry now.

Woo hoooooo ooh!

Photoshopping frenzy..

Photoshopping frenzy resumes...
The "lace" bit looks awkward...i think I'll need to tweak it again.

Jam Sauce

I have never been a fan of jam - fruit preserve paste, for I often find it unappealing to the palate.
It contains too much sugar, to be eaten with bread.
However, I find it acceptable for Jam to be eaten with savory food, such as Ikea's meatball with cream sauce and linggon berry jam, or even Skinny pizza's Turkey ham with blueberry jam.

It's 2am in the morning, and I'm hungry for jam with salty food.
Argh!

Gossips and gossiper

I chanced upon this and thought to myself... how true.

Happy Bunny Year!

Figured that it's the year of the Bunny, so I dug up a picture of the furry bugger at home to mark the new year.

I took him out for a hop in the room, and he decided to do his " I am a cutie" thingie by perching himself on a box by the corner of the room.
Well god is fair, and his cuteness has its limitations. Hohohoho!
The black little furry bugger doesn't look too handsome/cute whenever the camera flash goes off.
Flash + bunny =  Red eyes (just like how beans or onions gives you gas),
and it really doesn't help that his eyes are humongous!

I had to settle for normal pictures + photoshop editing - therefore pardon the noise level of the picture. I had to tweak ALOT to make him visible.

Digression aside, Happy Chinese New Year!
May the new year be bunnyful of abundance in opportunities, success, wealth, good health and filled to the brim with love!

Huat Ah!

Fred Flare quirky toys

I was bored and browsing.

Saw a couple of quirky items from Fred Flare.

It's such a cute idea!
I shall consider buying this, when I become a stay-at-home-tea-drinker.
For now, I'm still pretty much into my rubbish sugared bubble tea.

This cute little bugger's eyes are earphone jacks.
How poor thing in a cutesy way!

I Reckon that they'll make great gifts, but browsing will do for now!

Geeklet speaking : HTML woes

Sleepless, I spent the entire morning adventuring with what i'll term my geek habits.

So far...
I've managed to fix up a simple header design for the shop

But blogger apparently has an unresolved issue with low resolution header.
My header design appears rather sharp and crisp in my Mac, until it gets exported onto blogger's header template. How annoying! They ought to get it fixed soon! Grr...

**** comment inserted: monday january 25 2010
Oh gorgeous!
The blurry header has been miraculously fixed.
It's looking sharp as a pix!e now.
Yays! :)  i'm swear i'm sticking to GOOGLE for life!
Woots!

On a happier note, with regards to this blog, the HTML code fiddling proved to be more productive for me.
Previously, reading older post would require readers to navigate through the tabs located at the top of the template.

The new and improved version currently requires readers to click on the "older post" button located at the right bottom of every entry - linking directly to my archive page instead.
Yays!

Lastly, a random attempt to maintain savviness, I linked my almost non existent Twitter account with Facebook, and now the Tweet account lives!

Oh joy!
Now I'm happy, and somewhat very sleepy.

Incredible India!

Hello!
It's been awhile, Happy 2011!

While I'm in the mood to accomplish anything tonight (yes, my favourite sugared tea is keeping me up and hyper at the moment), therefore I shall no longer procrastinate, and attempt to share my experience in India through my eyes?

Tra lala ...

Immigration form I had to fill in during my plane ride.

Strolling about the village on my first morning - my first taste of village life.
Dogs and villagers aplenty, they were a curious bunch - since I am probably the only Chinese girl they'll see in their life entire life time. I have to say that they are a very sincere bunch though...
* the place I stayed in the ashram was pretty decent by my Singaporean standard...so fret not for me!

Our Indian chief suggested that we embark on a stroll to the beach - which turned out to be a tormenting hike in a swamp trail, filled with lots of crazy thorns that poked through my slippers.
Add in a loooong trail of squishy, muddy grounds so slippery that was practically i-m-p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e to walk.
Out of desperation, I gave up on my slippers and walked bare footed.

Post Beach stroll, Kuge suggested that we attempt the vegan breakfast served at the Ashram daily.
This is how it looks like - Rice flour cake with coconut milk and dahl-like curry.
The rice cakes reminds me somewhat of a moist and softer textured version of our local Tutu Kueh.

On the top left corner of the picture, out water was supplied in packet forms.
You're supposed to chew off a corner of the packet, and drink out of it.
No Straws.

The meal tasted decent to me, but I must say that 1 rice cake was definitely enough for me.
It's waaay too much carbohydrates in 3 rice cakes for me to stomach in the morning.

The lady who handed me my food was very concerned that I would starve, and insisted I finish at least 2 cakes. Just to be polite ( and because most villagers are very poor/ do alot of manual chores they eat at least 20 rice cakes in one seating or something along the lines, I tried not to waste food!) Gosh - I nearly died from from my attempt.

Us smiling with our lovingly made breakfast before partaking.
(I love how sincere everyone was, even though I could not understand their language.)

Post breakfast, we ran off with our driver for a little sight seeing around the main town.

Spotted a rare Signage with English words.. and I have no idea why it emphasized that the shop was owned by a Fish monger.

Peeped through the wall, while waiting for my ferry ride.

Yes, this is my ferry queue. I am quite the rare sight in India, being Chinese and female.
Haha. Everyone did their part in taking care of me, and I am really thankful!

On the left, we have Kuge, who's blending really well with the rest of his homies, and on the right, we have a quarter of Aden who's resting on the queuing bench.

And this would be the name of the Ferry that we boarded.

Before boarding, there was a mad rush to grab a smelly worn out life vest.
In the midst of the chaos, I panicked, and didnt manage to get any pictures of the smelly pile of life vest, dumped on the floor.
I picked up a dingy looking vest, and refused to put it on...Better dead than smelly for me!
But Crix seems to be loving his vest tho...

Setting foot onto the island, I love the sign that greeted me : Each soul is potentially divine.
So zen!

This island we visited housed the statue/house to the founder of Yoga. This is where Yoga apparently originated in. *beams*

As with most holy places - Visitors are required to remove their footwear.
Therefore the random pictures of my feet following the arrows.

Waiting for the ferry back - self entertainment was absolutely essential.
I attempted an arty shot of Aiden and myself through the reflection of Crix's sunnies,
but FAILED.  :(

my usual self shots, and the intrusion of Crix's peace sign in the picture..

Speaking of peace signs, we are extremely amused with the coins we received when we paid for our meals...

Meals were decent. Being the spoilt Singaporeans we were, we got the driver to drive us out to the fancy hotel in town, and we practically camped out at the same Restaurant almost every lunch and Dinner.

Our first taste of Pepsi in a bottle! I think I was having a good hair day..

Sample picture of our typical meal. Tandoori Chicken, Fish Tikka (yummiest!) Chicken manchuria and blahblahblahblah. We ate so much meat that I constipated for the first 3-4 days! (so much for everyone's concern that India would give me diarrhea. Hahaha!)

Restaurant interior

Our favorite Booth Seat!

Our last day at Lunch! Chinese vs Indians! LOL

Post Lunch, a random shot of me in my heart shaped sunnies that was taken by Crix.

Kuge in his Epic Kawaii Gangsta shot.
Joker borrowed my shades. Totally amusing!

Floor art at the entrance of the Ashram.
I love them to bits, and cannot take my eyes off them every time I walk past the entrance. :)

The wall of the Ashram is filled with plenty of wall murals, and these are just some that spoke the most to me.

As for my lodgings provided by the Ashram, we had ceiling fan, aircon, water heater, 2 washing sink (one in the toilet, and one in the corner by the window)
I was not expecting this standard before embarking on my trip, and I am glad to say that this was waaay better than what I have anticipated. For that I am extremely thankful for all that was provided.

On our last day, we visited a fortress nearby with a mega huge pond that was said to be where the Princess used to shower. -_-" The way I looked at it, the pond/bath could hold 10 elephants in it, or house a really HUGE princess, or the princess fancied pool parties?
I was not impressed with the pond, but I do have to share this...

Funny thing was, the men on the right of the sign were really comfortable on the tree...
Lol! I guess the signs were meant for tourists only?!

Ending off with a random picture of me posing with a tree that everyone tried to climb, but me.

Footnote: I never thought a city loving girl like me would ever say this, but I would choose to make a trip back to Kanyakumari again in the near future, for it was this little village that I found the inner peace that I desperately seek.
Okay, bye for now!
